I love this bra! CHP has become my favorite cut for uplift and a little more roundness compared to the S and PL. The only qualm is the lace under the cups like to flip but could be due to a snugger band. Not a big deal given it is under clothing. I am sure it will flatten when the band is less snug. Matching panties I splurged on! Too sheer to show but the frilly lace edging on both is everything.

    Didn't fit

I guess I should review bras while they're still available for purchase. The Chp Noir is a 3 seamed halfcup from Ewa. It's a bit different since all the other halfcups are 2 seamed. It does fit slightly differently than the 2 seamed Chps in my opinion. First of all, the cups in this style are very tall. They curve inward at the top, so it's not like they run much bigger, they're just taller. The third, outer seam adds a little bit of volume to that part of the cup, creating an extremely rounded shape, more so than the 2 seamed ... half cups. This is the typical size I buy from EM, and the cups fits fairly true to size. It's a little too big for my smaller breast, but gaping that occurs throughout the day isn't noticeable visually because of the frills.
The gore is also significantly taller than other halfcups of this size. I can't really wear tall gores so I ended up pushing the wires in the channel towards the armpit, and then narrowing the gore. The alteration is hidden by the gem tassel, and can be seen in my photos. I want to add that its super sparkly, with glass gems, making the bra appear quite expensive.. It was expensive.
The band is very firm and runs like a 28, it fits me ok on the 2nd to last hook depending on how I am feeling since I prefer looser bands anyways. The straps are really thick and supportive, and not placed too far apart.

Overall lovely bra! Unfortunately, I don't reach for this as often due to the taller gore, which sits on a little of my breast tissue.

I bought the Czarna Mgiełka thong to match the bra in size 36, but they were absolutely huge on me. My iliac crest is about 30 inches, and butt is is 35-36 inches. I ended up having to sew up the sides, and I also shortened the length since they were too high rise.

  3. I decided to take a gamble on Ewa Michalak bras again. The others I tried are too tall for me, and this one is no exception. However, it's only slightly too tall, so I decided to keep it. Part of this might also be a shape issue, as the top of my breasts are slightly conical and shallow. I cannot form any sort of cleavage. However, after washing it, it got a bit softer and the quarter inch on the top folds down across the top of my breast.

After reading about the CHP cuts I ordered down one cup size. I feel a bit squeezed into the bottom ... of the cup with the cookies in, but without them in I doubt my breasts would be tall enough for this bra. It doesn't hurt so I left the cookies in. I haven't had much experience with a padded bra in my size. The CK Daily Dream collapses on me at the wire and is unwearable. This one seems to stay in my IMF and the cup isn't collapsing at the bottom.

The gore in this bra is pretty low and doesn't press on my tissue. There's a small jewel charm hanging off the gore. The wires are narrow and hard, though not as hard as Panache wires. It doesn't press on any tissue on the sides and feels good to me. The straps are set pretty wide, but don't really bother me that much. The band feels true to size, comfortable on the loosest hook.

Despite the gap at the top, I still think this is a perfectly wearable bra. The gap isn't noticeable under a shirt, and I feel open to trying other CHP cuts in the future.

Awesome! I was told that Ewa wouldn't do a 60/65 CHP above a HH cup, period.......hum......wonder if she changed her mind???
I may have to try & sweet talk her into doing one for me (yeah, I know-dream on)..... I love the open top on the CHP & found it to be helpful in avoiding the minor quad boob issue I get in the S cut.

    • 1

MamaPagan I got this from Zathiya, so who knows how old it is. I want another CHP so I hope she did change her mind!

    • 2

It was Aisha @ Zathiya who told me that after she went back & forth with Ewa regarding the CHP. I'd asked about 3 different ones, and after the 3rd, she said Ewa was not comfortable doing the CHP in a 60/65 band above an HH cup because she didn't feel it would be supportive enough. She (Ewa) said above the HH cup needed to go with the S style instead. That was maybe 2 months ago or so. My solution was to buy the CHP in a 70J and shorten the band by a few inches. Since you found one, there has to be exceptions to the rule!!!

Owww, I'm a bit dissapointed with this one!

It looks fantastic, it really is better in real life than on the Ewa site. It has a beige base, with black mesh overlay, and the tops of the cup are decorated with really fine transparent black ruching that's oh so pretty.

The band is nice and firm, I'd say a tighter Ewa 75, and the straps feel super supportive and comfortable.

However, the cups are a bit too big for me. Without the cookies I get gaping at the top, and not nearly as much cakes on a plate cleavage as I was hoping for. With the cookies things get a little better, but still, this bra does not seem to do for me what it does so well for others in the cleavage department. I think I'd need to go down a cup size for this model, or perhaps find a half cup that push my boobs a little closer to my body? The cups on this model are quite projected.

I'll be listing this one soon.

It does look better in person, most of Ewa's styles do.

It's really common for women to size down a cup for the CH/CHP cuts because they are so open on top. Unless you're VFoT, you lose a bit of that push-up effect in the normal volume. Next time you order an open top CHP, go for the 75F I think you'll be happier with it.
There are a few that are more closed on top and you may fare better in the 75FF. Onyks is one, Klaudyna is another.

    • 2

I wasn't done and can't edit, sorry for the double post!

Anyway, the CHP is pretty impressive because it is projected, but it pushes up too. It's a hybrid of two other half-cup styles.
The HP, which slightly minimizes and pushes tissue up and in and is super purple.
The CH, which is projected with tons of space at the wire and swoops all the tissue from the sides and holds it out.
The CHP ends up doing all of those things and it's actually pretty impressive the amount of push-up it does provide while still being quite projected.

jlcl119 I've heard many people sing this cut's praises, and I think in the right size it should work better. I have some upper fulness but very short roots, so I don't know if a more closed on top model will work better or not, but it's worth a try!

    • 1

FWIW, I am even with super short roots, wear the SM in a 65F and love the CH/P cuts in a 65E. If we're similarly shaped, sizing down will work perfect for you.

    • Ah, that does sound about right! Good to know

I wear the SM in 75FF, although I think I could sister size down in lighter colors because the bands tend to be stretchier.

Weirdly enough I need a 75G in the PL, which is why I thought the 75FF would be small enough.

    • I think I've seen somewhere most people need to size up in the PL & S cuts compared to their SM size, & down one for the CH/CHP cuts. I've never tried PL or S as the wires would be too wide, but I can do a 65F in CHPs that are open on top & need a 65FF in the SM cut.

A much better fit than the 30G I already tried (no gaping and perfectly fitted cups!) This bra is an undeniably beautiful, ornately decorated half cup somewhat reminiscent of a 1920's flapper dress with its beige cups fitted with black mesh overlay, scalloped floral lace, semi-transparent frills and sparkling rhinestone rosette pendant. What a fun date-night or special occasion number! The sort of burlesque aesthetic is very much what I originally hoped for with Curvy Kate's Tease Me, but whereas that one is wide and shallow with high, armpit-irritating wings, this one much better accommodates a narrow and immediately projected shape. The fit is pretty comparable to the other CHPs I own in the same size: band is firm, cups are quite open on top and create a stellar super round shape. The straps are perhaps a little thicker than usual, but widely-set like most EM bras.

    • I think it's the only 3 seamed CHP! Is the cup shape comparable to the other CHPs?

    • Come to think of it, it must be, at least I've never encountered another 3-seam/4-part cup CHP before! The cup shape is exactly the same, uplifted and super round.

This bra looks really pretty and fits really good, wothout any discomfort throughout the day. This is my only fitting bra so far, there's enough room in the bottom of the cup and narrow enough wires. The cups are slightly too open for me, which is noticable on my smaller side, but this is just a minor problem. I wonder if this slight gapping is only caused by the straps being too far apart, since i've read other complains about this.

I love this bra! I bought my first Ewa Michalak bra (@S Colette) about a month ago and already hooked. These are the most comfortable bras I've ever worn. I feel lucky to live near Levana Bratique and was able to go try on 20 different Ewa models in my size this weekend and loved the fit of this one. It was so hard to choose since most of them fit!
The Noir is just high enough without bothering my underarm area while completely containing all breast tissue. High cups and wide set straps bother me but for some reason Ewa's S and CHP models (only have 4 so ... far) bother me for the first day only then somehow I settle into them perfectly thereafter.
My underbust is 28-29 but find this fit best in the 70. It only stretches to 30 or so before it starts to have some wire distortion so I don't want to max out the stretch of a 65. The 65 I have in another Ewa model only stretches to 28-29 inches before distortion so 70 has been my go to size for her padded styles so far. This band is firm and I don't foresee it stretching quickly. I love these four hook options on her bands!
I would say this is a pretty deep cup so if in between sizes I would go down to your smaller size. I'm new to Ewa so take that info with a grain of salt! For size reference a lot of my UK brands 30FFs are feeling too small for me lately but this fits perfectly. I fill it completely with or without the cookies. My other ewa 70ff I should probably go up a cup size but I wouldn't be able to in this one.
As a side note that gorgeous frilly top lies flat on me and I can't see it under thicker shirts.
