  1. I just received this bra courtesy of BumbleBean and I really like it! It is a much better fit than my CHP Opium that I just bought for one big reason: The foam on this bra is very thin. On the Opium, the thick foam rubs a lot under my arms, but I don't have this issue with the thinner foam of the Marcepan. Unfortuantely, part of the reason the cups are so thin is the lack of cookie pockets (though I don't really neeeed cookie pockets, so that wasn't a deal breaker for me).

This is the first bra in my collection that can function as a nude for me, and for a "boring" bra its very nice looking. The little light pink bows on the gore and straps, as well as the light pink straps, dress up the beige color of the bra without taking away from its ability to function as a nude for lighter skin tones.

Oh yay, I'm glad it works for you AND it arrived sooner than expected! :)

    • I strongly prefer the thinner foam, too. Thrilled this works so well for you!! :-)

    • 1

Congratulations, I have this bra too and I love it! I was wondering, have you tried any other CHPs? I only have this one, and I already find it quite thick. I'm now wondering what other CHPs have thinner and thicker foam.

    • Charlotteke Other than this, the Opium is the only other one I've tried. A 70J is a custom size in the CHP cut (at least now) so there aren't too many floating around out there

    • I think that part of my issue with the Opium is that I have to wear a cookie on the right size (I'm not sure why, my right side is actually slightly bigger and I've never needed to wear just one cookie before) and those are quite thick. The way the CHP cookies are cut, they extend all the way up to the stretchy part that sits in your armpit. But even removing the cookie, the foam on the Opium is still a bit thicker than the foam on the Marcepan

    • 1

Good to know! I think the cookies in CHP cuts are such a pain to put in and take out! I don'tblike heavy padding, do I removecthrm straight away, but it is weird that you need one for your bigger boob, maybe the cups are not quite even?

I was so happy with my CHP that I considered bulk ordering some more styles, but perhaps I should first try to figure out which ones have thinner padding.

    • Charlotteke Yeah, I found it pretty odd. I've seen a handful of other reviews of the Opium saying that they also had one cup fit differently than the other so maybe there's something with the construction of the bra

My first Polish bra and it fits! The band is tight on the loosest set of hooks and I'm afraid of stretching out the band too much so I wear it with an extender to prolong its life. So this could potentially work for people who need 26 bands (I have a 27" loose UB). I usually wear a 28D (even and shallow) in UK brands but the cups fits well. Cups slightly too wide by about half inch (I have average roots) but the height is perfect. I'd say this CHP would work for people needing shallow but not necessarily really wide cups in my size range. ... What I love though about this bra is the gore height. It's shorter than British balconettes or half-cups that I've tried and is great because I have relatively close-set breasts. Straps could be slightly narrower but still doable for me.

Appearance-wise, it's OK except for the (obnoxiously) large bows on straps. There's an interesting crimped ribbon feature on the band and there's lace on the top of the cups (shows under thin shirts though). I quite like this bra but the one thing I would add is pockets for cookies because I have very asymmetrical breasts.

Edit: I forgot to add that I love the fact that there are 4 columns of eyes on the band. The straps are also fully adjustable.

    • Just commenting because this style is (to me) so much cuter in a smaller size range--I remember seeing it in my post-baby size and thinking it was too plain but the proportional surface of the lace and ribbon embellishment in this size range makes it so indulgent and beautiful. I can see how the size of the bows could be annoying if they end up right in your armpit though. It's like a pretty bra with a built-in Tickle Me Elmo :-/

    I'm currently around a 32FF. I would say this fits close to a 34F.
Since this is a 75/34 band, I could easily hook this on the third set of hooks. I love the 4 rows of 3 hooks, it's quite comfortable.

Annoyingly, I get a small amount of bubbling on my larger side, but not enough to warrant going up a cup. As long as this doesn't show through shirts, it shouldn't bother me.

The wires are a good width, and the immediate projection is great.

The straps are a bit too wide set for me, ... and rub a little under my arms. This seems to be a recurring issue with all of the EM's I've tried.

So far, sizing up one cup from my UK size seems to work for PL and CHP cuts. For S cuts I seem to be in the middle- if I get my UK size, the cups are a little too small, and if I size up a cup, the cups are too tall. Perhaps S cuts are just incompatible with my shape.

    • I love the CHP style. I too get a little rubbing under my arms and bubbling on my larger side but the shape is so worth it.

    • Oooh, I have one on the way as well, in 75F. I hope it's not too small though. I also normally wear 32FF, but I tried a 75FF chp once (different color), and it was too big, so I decided to try this a size smaller...

How do you describe the shape it gives you?

    • 1

Charlotteke I would say it gives a projected and rounded shape.

Beautiful bra, very comfortable, unfortunately just too large in the cup for me. The underwire is a touch to wide, but the real issue is the gaping I get at the top of the cup.

Last thing's first: Narrow wires I can handle, because all I have to do is some bending and sacrifice some of the projection (which this bra can definitely afford). But too close-together cups? What do you do for that? I'm not sure it's possible to change it.
    ---------

I did notice, before I bought this, that Ewa bras seem to be really projected. I always believed my breasts were fairly projected, so I thought it would be a good fit. I was sort of wrong.

Objectively, the measurements for this bra indicated that it would be a good fit. Long wires (which I thought meant wide wires), 11" depth, open ... at the top. It all seemed good. But when it's on, there are several big issues. I would say this bra is slightly too projected for me. Also, the cups are way too close together for my wider-set breasts. This causes an interesting effect. I fill out the tops perfectly, I fill out the sides perfectly, yet I don't fill out the parts of the cups closest to the gore, resulting in gaping. Another issue is that these wires are long, but not necessarily wide. I have to constantly readjust to keep my tissue inside the cups, which also contributes to the weird inner gaping. Have to say this has never happened to me before and this is the first issue I've ever had with a bra being this close together...

    And so there goes $45...

    • Theres not really much you can do about a too narrow gore :( You can always make something too big smaller, but not something too small, bigger (here the width of the gore). Except bra band I suppose, but that is adding fabric (an extender) to it.

    • 1

It would take lots of patience and some *very* careful sewing, but I think it could be possible. cut the gore down then center, add a bit more fabrics to each side if needed, and attach a front closure. I wouldn't try it on a loved bra though, best to experiment on dead ones. I'd been thinking about it because my hubby would get a kick out of a front hook bra (and I'd still have the adjustability with the hooks in the back) but I'm not finding front closures thin enough for my super close boobs.

    • Noob Yourlovealive

I considered adding fabric to the gore, but on an Ewa bra in such good condition I think it would ruin it. I posted a listing on Reddit and to my surprise it sold within an hour. Luckily I recouped 75% of what I spent.

i got this quite some time ago and haven't gotten around to writing a review till now, oops! long story short, this doesnt fit me so i never wore it. the band is just too small for comfort, womp womp :'( i kind of suspected it would be though, im never sure if i should be a 75 or 80 band. i have had other 75s that fit and some that were too tight to clasp, so its a toss up. the cup width and depth i think are pretty good, although it stands away from my breasts at the top edge a little bit. im not sure ... if its too open or too big, but i suspect its just a bit too open or possibly its just a bit too thick of a lace or something.

its in good used condition, the band feels very sturdy still and the hooks and eyes are all in fine shape. the fabric has some pilling, not major but its there. the corners of the cups curl inwards when its at rest, but that has no effect on when its being worn. hopefully i can pass this on to someone who can get some use out of it!

  8. I got this second hand. The bra material is very soft, and the cups are quite open on top, even more than I expected they would be. I see now how a chp can be good for both short and tall roots. The band was too long for me, which I expected, but the cup volume is about right. The band will need to be altered to 65-70 cm for support. I do get a bit of gaping on my right side, so I could do a smaller size to accomodate smaller side. Cookie pockets would have been ideal.
This bra's measurements have been altered
Altered band, overlapping gore, band taken in to make it a 30"

I am always on the lookout for a practical but pretty beige everyday bra, and Marcepan is the best one I've found so far! I really appreciate that Ewa produces neutral bras in a variety of different tones. This one is pale with just a slight cool undertone; beneath sheer and light-colored shirts, it approximates a true nude on me a bit better than my 30G - Ewa Michalak » S Orzechowa Pralinka (711) (more tan) or my 30G - Ewa Michalak » Pl Triumf (710) (more yellow). The straps and the scalloped lace on top of the cups are a very pale ... creme color, as is the shiny ribbon that accents the band. Little pink bows finish the gore and strap attachments. The design is simple but very cute and feminine.

I wasn't expecting this bra to fit, as I usually fit a 65FF in CHP without the pads pretty perfectly. However, the cups on this are great, if a little higher in coverage than a 65FF, leading me to believe that this bra runs small in the cups. The shape is perfectly round as is typical of CHP. I purchased this bra used but it doesn't look to have been worn much at all, so the band is comfortable for the moment on the third of four sets of hooks. Eventually, I may have to take it in as it stretches. In all other respects, the bra is very soft and amazingly comfortable.
