  This bra looks like a good fit on you. How wonderful you could get your size in the Ewa Michalak bra you wanted to replace your worn out one! It's great you can recognize correct fit and such subtle differences between two cup sizes! Thank you for showing the snug T-shirt fit. This is always a concern of mine. I usually wear a seamless, lined bra because of seams showing through and, I feel, ruining the lines of some of my tops. This bra is basically a T-shirt bra for you!

  Looks great. I’ve been in the same position with sales associates (especially La Senza and the like who are all too eager to measure me when I say that they don’t have anything that fits).

  She may not have been accustomed to fitting people in your size range with the BM style, which is obviously super popular with people in the very large cup range. If you fit a demographic that usually comes in looking for the lower-cut Ewa styles she probably has a mental image of the optimal fit they get in those bras, making her less receptive to what you were saying (or to the logic of realizing yeah it's a BM, they are fairly high coverage bras, it's really totally fine for it to fit you this way!)

• It's the beige one! When you mentioned Tulip, I assumed it would be Tulipan which is the black one.

  Do you find this one to be more comfortable than the full lace BMs? For me these half lace ones have been every time.

The only other place they are sale items for Ewa (in Canada) is Forever Yours Anniversary Sale, https://www.foreveryourslingerie.ca/collections/sale/ewa-michalak However, they ran out of most sizes in Ewa Michalak just a couple hours after the posted the sale.

  I think that -when buying from Poland direct, if at least one of the bras is on sale (like, if you buy two), it makes it worth it, even with shipping, etc.

  Of note: I think I should edit my review to say - I think it's just the solid black half-lace BMs that run tight, but most people know that black bras are usually tighter anyway...

  This looks awesome on you! And yes, some have/had three rows of hooks. The one I have has three rows, but I’ve had it for a really long time. I noticed some of the older ones I have have the three rows as opposed to the newer ones that only have two. I also much prefer the three hook style.

  For the record, the Fuksja does not droop at all compared to my other half lace BMs, not sure why :/. Maybe the tighter band, or slightly smaller cups, but either way, I'm not seeing that issue with my behemoths.

  BTW I just checked out the photos and it does look to fit a lot more differently than Cabernet. I do find also I get more rounded look from these bras and to be honest, despite the droop, I find them to be the most comfy as well.

  Wilderness1 I have thought about this before, but both bras seem to have the same stretched measurements, and when I add a row or two more hooks from my extender to the Cabernet, it doesn’t change anything except for feeling loose(r).

• Hmmm. Interesting. I honestly don’t know if I can pull the high waist briefs off with my shape. Have a look at my Cabernet pics... I have a few pictures of me in coordinating/semi matching underwear from La Senza and it’s clear to see my mid-section tummy pooch and short waist. I think that the ones you have would swallow me up too much.

• I wore this again today and was reminded how strange it is that it fits so much like my 65FF Cabernet, except more rounded, and yet it’s a sister size up. The band feels identical in snugness. I’m wondering if it’s because it’s a 3 column vs 4 column clasp. Maybe I ought to close the Cabernet on the 3rd of the 4 hooks and compare. But ultimately, it’s not really worth trying to understand, I think, so long as they both fit, right? Just be thankful that they fit. Lol.

  Also, I tried to measure my hips and waist but I don’t know if I measured in the right spots. If I did, my hips were close to 36”, and my waist, being a bit tricky to define, was somewhere in the 25-30” range so I dunno. I have no clue size in Ewas bottoms I would need and no clue if AprilGoulding ‘S 38 high waisted ones would fit.

  But for future reference - if you wear a large La Senza panty, you need a 38 in Ewa.

• Calluna I don't find the subtle shape difference too strange--I have a few bras in sister sizes and it frequently makes a little bit of a difference in shape. With some bras, if the cup is molded or does not have a defined apex of its own, the tighter band will make me seem less projected and/or rounder. But here, I think the seams are specially conceived to allow a rounded shape--so what happens is that the 65 being tighter, it stretches everything east-west just a tiny bit more such that the base of the cup is pulled snug and does not allow the breast to settle all the way down in there. Whereas in the 70 band, the boob can settle in there comfortably and round out the bottom half of the cup just as the seaming was designed to allow.

• It might have to do with that, but it’s more likely because it’s not reinforced with the tulle lining, so it offers a more relaxed lower cup. But wire width and band measurements are nearly identical, so they should, theoretically, act the same on me, despite being two different sizes.

• oh, I thought one band was smaller! Well, who knows then... yes tulle lining maybe!

• Both stretched to 29”. The length of Cabernet is 22” and Bibi Bezowa Perla is 22.3”. So nearly the same.

• I've gotten round shapes in tulle lined cups. I think moreso it has to do with seam placement, but also the width of the wires.

  That's interesting about band stretching to 29 inches, as nearly all of my 70 bands (in FF and G, except for the Fluo in 70G) stretched to 80-83cm. Perhaps yours is an older one from way back when they made the bands tighter? I think my Fluo might be. My 70FF Fluo has a band that also stretches to 80cm and it was made for me when I ordered it. The 70G was made already and one of the last Fluos on site.

• brasaremean, interesting that you have a round shape in some tulle lined BMs. I’m thinking that you might be right about the age of the bra. It was in the listings for a few years
  actually, but I still (after a bit of deliberation) sent the message about it, asking if it was still available. So yes, it’s conceivable that it’s one of the old ones that just had a really tight band. It was in pristine condition when I got it, which suggests it was a brand new one.

• Yes Kleks and Rubin in 65GG give me a very round shape right now.

  So my thinking is yours is a --lets call it a tight 30 band, and in my experience the cups when sister sizing up or down also don't exactly match so between a F and FF (my 70G cups are about half a cup larger than my 65GG cups). which is about what you came to with the Cabernet as well yeah? That you don't need a cup size down from FF but only slightly less to feel more supported?

• But I’m the opposite. My 65FF Cabernet is the one that feels like a half size larger than the 70F Bibi Bezowa. As in, the 70F is the one that feels like it’s a little smaller.

• Welcone to the joys and frustrations of Ewa bras! I can say that the straps used to really bother me but after a few months I actually got used to them and now they aren't a bother. For additional support, try a middle hookset and see if that helps. Also, you'll get more lift in the cups when you can adjust the straps a bit more, but it may take some time to adjust to the wideset strap placement first. Once able to do that, the cups will feel more supportive. :-)

  MamaPagan, I can see that happening with the straps (it not being a bother after a while) because the material is pretty soft (so is that lace..I can't stop touching it).

• In my experience, the single layer EM bands do stretch out faster and more than double layered ones. Maybe it's just me though, I get really bothered by a loose band because I feel like it's not as supportive.

  As for the straps, they cut in and bother me the first time I wear the bra, but then I get used to it (and I think it softens up). After a wash or two the irritation completely goes away. I really really think it's the scallop-y edges on the bra where the actual discomfort comes from.

  That being said you are right that this bra doesn't look very supportive on you. Would you say you have firmer tissue rather than soft? Maybe the SF cut would suit you better?

• And also, the half lace BMs do not have any lining. The full lace ones do and that might make a ton of difference when it comes to support!

  brasaremean I think because I'm somewhere between a 28-29 back. The band doesn't bother me too much..but then we'll see after I wear it for a while and how it stretches. After taking on this bra and putting on my Jasmine it made the Jasmine feel really loose and uncomfortable.

  I can live with the straps but it's good to know they soften.

  I think I do have soft tissue (how do you tell though?), that's why I'm thinking of the SF. Thanks.

  Part of it could also be because of how the straps/band were adjusted. Everything was pretty much on the loosest level. I've since adjusted it and it seems to be a little better now, but I'm leaning towards trying the SF and seeing how that works.

  I'm pretty happy how this turned out though. There are a couple of fit issues I had before that got solved with this bra.

  The SF cups have a lot more structure, think Jasmine. However I will say that they feel like they have less immediate projection than the BMs (or Jasmine).
  Now I only tried one SF bra and I'm not even close in size to you so I'm useless with any information, however I know both MamaPagan and Sovavosi are about your size and they have some SFs reviewed (along with photos of the inside of the cup to show the structure).

  Overall I would say that SFs have more support than BMs but they also come with some different issues (for me).

  That's how it goes, every next bra gets you closer to that optimal (if not perfect) fit.

  I don't notice the difference in support between the BM and SF because I have firm tissue. You can tell if your tissue is firm or not from how it behaves when you smoosh it... my boobs have the same shape regardless of what bra I put them in. They don't quad when a bra is too small, I just get a slight indentation.

  The S had the most support that I could feel, it's like boob lockdown... except that it's so shallow on the bottom. :(

• Frazzleberry maybe this is dumb but tentatively, judging from how this bra fits the few other users in your exact size and how similar-cut bras fit others in closeish sizes, I find you are getting quite a bit more coverage than the design intends. Combined with the fact I see a tiny bit of wrinkling around the edges/underneath and the fact you say you don't feel secure, I wonder if this is not one cup volume too large for you. Maybe going down one cup would pose other problems, I'm not sure, but maybe worth considering? As I said last week sizing up in the cup can be a totally valid bra hack (and one I am rocking at this very second as I sit here in my overly-shallow-but-fits-comfortably-in-2-cups-over-my-usual-size Passionata Brooklyn :-D). But since you're having trouble with the strap placement and feeling unsupported, in this case a smaller cup volume could be worth a look, because those two problems are pretty typical of a too-large cup.

• Any thoughts on the above MamaPagan ? I imagine based on your past comments that you've more often been thwarted by EM cups being too small or snug since you are at the outer edge of their size chart already, but in the styles where you've gotten a fit, you probably have a pretty good eye for how much coverage and support would indicate optimal volume.

• wendybien that is a thought, but honestly (and I'm not one to generally overshoot cup sizes) I think if i went down a cup it may be too small :/, but then I'm not familiar with Ewa's sizing. I'll go look back at the measurements. I will say this though after adjusting the the straps (I adjusted the straps - it was really loose at the time- and the band) it wasn't that bad.

  whenever my next bra adventure comes I'll put that down as one of my options, I guess that would be around a 65JJ... And I'll see which way is the best to go

• wendybien I do tend to get a good/great/sometimes perfect fit in Ewa's BM 60KK, and based on what Frazzleberry explained and what I see, I am confident the fit will be better for her with tightening the straps a bit and trying a tighter hookset, though I obviously can't guarantee a perfect fit as a result. :-D

  A few months back I was having major skin sensitivity issues and had to loosen all my straps completely as well as my bands. Instant no support, and wrinkling at the bottom of the cup similar to what she is experiencing. Half an inch tightened and the wrinkles disappear, a bit more with the band at a secure setting, and I get the lift you see on Ewa models, but I don't like my straps that tight. Add my permanent shoulder grooves that hold the straps in place and I don't need them tighter to keep them on my shoulders. Off topic, sorry.

  I have several BMs I tried in a 60K and 60KK, and while the 60Ks looked like they fit, the gore was way off my sternum. The 60KK BMs that I have that are a bit too small and cut in at the top are more due to the lace not having as much give and me having taller breast tissue than the stretch lace on those models can accommodate. I may try those models in a 60L at some point, but I am not sure it would help.

  Point being that while yes, she may be able to fit in a cup size down, the result may be no tack and less support as was with my experience.

  When trying Ewa bras (Polish bras in general) after UK ones, the strap placement does take some time to adjust to and we tend to wear the straps looser than we should as a result.

  Honestly, @Frazzleberry's breasts look bigger to me than mine do, so I'd be leery about suggesting a smaller cup than I wear. I do see validity in everything you said, but the bra measurements seem normal for this cup/band combo in comparison to my 60KKs, so I would be more apt to suggest like brasaremean did and say try the full lace BMs for for reinforcement and the SF style as well for added support.

  That doesn't mean Frazzleberry that you couldn't try a size down if it's available and returnable. Doing so for me (several times) helped put my mind at ease about size and fit, and the realization my breasts are too soft to create the rounded mounds in a smaller size, but quad instead.

  I was browsing Ewa's site, as usual :-D, and I must say that even her models get that wrinkling on the base of the cup. Plus the BM is a fuller coverage bra so it is supposed to provide more coverage than her SM or plunge styles for example.

  Not sure that this bra can be labelled a "fit" for you.
  Would be nice to see you in a bra with the wire at the IMF and with enough projection for you, less wide straps and cup. More comfort for you and a better shape without that kink of tissue at the chest wall and better support. The girls deserve more!

  The half lace BMs are my bra bliss! It's wierd that Kaska told you they run a half cup smaller, since she told me they were just slightly smaller earlier this year. To me, it really jyst feels more like the upper lace is a bit more closed in but the cups fit/feel the same as the full lace BMs otherwise, definitely not a half or even a quarter cup difference in the ones I've tried. I think it may be dependent on the seamstress that's making them though, which is why we see subtle variations in fit throughout the BM (& other) lines maybe?
  Either way, as long as they are comfortable and fit, it's all the matters right? :-) They do look great on you!

  I believed you, I just don't know why she would say different things, but you might be right about it being a standard size vs the custom size range. You'd figure they would be consistent. I wonder if the half a cup is based on what other customers have told her? That could be why you didn't experience it either on this one, as it varies by bra and person?   I have Tulipan (the black one) and it is bra perfection. Bianca (White one) & Fuksja (black with purple) are the same. You can't go wrong with them!

• Ewa's SF style is similar to the BM, but has the bottom of the cup reinforced with a stiffer lining to give more lift and support. It has the same upper stretch lace and is not padded. It might be what you are looking for. More rounded, less of the natural (matronly) look.

  Thank you for the tip on the SF style, @ MamaPagan. I think that a firmer bottom cup would help a lot. Seems like my breasts are too heavy for the fabric and pushing the cup down at the wire. Maybe if my tissue was more firm, it would work better. I mean, this is very wearable, but still searching for perfection....

• the SM is also firmer, sheer. but the stretchy ones are easier fits.

  Btw, the EM unpadded bras aren't really known for being "amazingly round" -- that's the magic of the padded bras. :)

• Oh, thanks BumbleBean - i hadnt noticed that difference. I still cant imagine wearing a padded bra. I've gotten used to the idea that my breasts are actually somewhat more projected than round, but I hate to add ANY volume to them at all
