Elomi Charley is based on the popular Matilda cut. There are two different plunge styles in the Charley range. The one with a stretchy lace top which comes in a solid color, and this one here which doesn't have a stretchy lace top and usually comes in a solid color with colorful floral embroiderie on top of the cup. The red color is gorgeous and I love the floral embroiderie.

My shape: tall, narrow to average wide roots, full on top, projected, center heavy

At first I had problems with the unusal lower gore - since I used to wear Balconettes or Full cups all the time, but I get ... used to it. It's actually nice not have a gore that almost comes too high. Some high gore also feel uncomfortable since my breast tissue almost touches. Usually if a bra has a too low gore, it cannot contain my center heavy boobs. That's why I used to stay away from Plunge bras in the past. But this bra - it's magic - can somehow do it.

The bra is very supportive and the cups contain my breast tissue at the center. Key to get a good fit is that the bra cannot be slightly too small. If you have overspill in this style - the gore will poke the overspilling breast tissue. Since it has no stretchy lace it's not good for my PMS fluctuations, but fits nicely on normal days. (I would need the stretch lace option for that, which I haven't tried yet) Also I'm so impressed just how well constructed this bra is - when I put it on I already feel what it does before I even put up the straps. The construction is really made to support even heavier boobs in larger cup sizes!

The cups are a bit wide but I don't feel like it causes problems. There is enough projection at the bottom so I don't get wrinkles. I think the cup shape is quite good if you have even - to fob shape and it can work also on fot but need to choose maybe 1 cup size up or go for the stretch version. I don't use the racerback option, since it gives me neck pain, the bra wears well if you don't use it.

So many pretty Elomi's but I'm not in the size range!

That color is stunning! All these pink and red bras you’re reviewing is making me want to branch out and get a red bra.

It’s so beautiful. This fall they are making it in navy with amber embroidery and although I’m not a huge fall fan, it’s so crisp nights and leaves looking that I will have to get it.

Interesting. I know my boobs are bigger than yours, so i would need to go up a size, but it doesnt look deep enough for me? and to size up i'd have to go up in the band. Probably a no - but looks good on you!

I think those Elomi wires kind of squash tissue to the side to create a more compact look whereas you’re used to that out front look that Ewa gives dbmamaz.

Yes, but even my panache tango seem deeper than that - which is why its the only non-ewa i own more than 1 of atm

dbmamaz The bra has good projection at the wire, it's in no way shallow, it's rather deep - but completely different from Ewa. It's wider and keeps your boobs closed to the chest while Ewa projects them forward.

Honestly prefer more the Elomi fit - even though Ewa / Polish fit would be more appropriate for my boob shape but it does not give me enough support. Elomi does.

    • cupandahalf I love the new navy colorway <3 Whole fall collection is quite nice as always Elomi does so well. I also loved the spring color of tahiti blue and hope to be able to find it anywhere.

    • dbmamaz i think what you are seeing is mostly a difference in the general cup shape. Your Tango has lots of forward projection whereas the Elomi is cut to have a more gradual slope. The Elomi has more depth but it’s aligned more vertically as it’s a plunge- basically the depth is more spread out across the chest versus pushed straight forward like in your Tango. It has less room at the top (more closed) as well to get that plunging shape without letting you fall out.

It’s just a different style, and some folks need that compression and close to the chest shape to be comfortable. It makes sense you like the Tango as it’s a very projected outward style just like your Ewas even though it’s not narrow like them.

    • I'm slightly confused how 'depth' can be spread out. i understand volume being spread out, but not depth.

The depth of the bra can be vertical as well as horizontal. Yes that means volume being in a different shape but we talk about cup depth...

But basically what I’m saying is your Tango is more like this < and the Elomi is more like this ( but in three dimensions. Similar cup volume but more spread out.

I wore this bra today. It's very close to chest fit. The cups are quite shallow. The cup edge does not cut in but I spill over a bit in height... its comfy and supportive but maybe 1/2 cup too small...
