The first time I ever tried a bralette bra. It's also the first one that comes anywhere near my current size (32J). I had to sister - size to 34HH because there are no 32 bands.

The bra is made of light slightly warm toned pink lace. The upper part of the cups is made of a stretchy lace with an elastic band at the edge.
The floral embroiderie on the upper cup part is repeated on the "bralette" part around the bra. There is a regular mesh bra band and then the lace over it. It looks like a long line bra. (I'm not sure what is ... the exact difference between longline or bralette bra? I thought bralettes are usually without wires while longlines just have a longer band. Will edit this once I know for sure.) The band is true to size in my opinion and closes with 5 row of hooks. I found this quite difficult to do up on my own. Since the band was a bit too big, I could do it up on the front and then move it around.

    My issues:
The band was too big, it did not feel supportive at all. I usually can wear the sister size 32J in Elomi so I'm not sure if these cups came up a bit small. On the other side it was probably just a problem of my very full on top boobs vs. an elastic band at the edge of some stretchy lace. That does never go well. Also all of the Elomi bras I tried so far are quite closed at the top, so even despite the stretch it does not work for me.

I found the wires to be a good width for me there was no wrinkling or empty fabric on the sides but not enough room at the top and center. I probably need the wires of a HH- cup in this bra and the cup depth and room at the top of a JJ-cup. And a 32 band which they don't make…anyway I think that the bralette part would ride up during the day, roll together and dig in at the underbust. It already did when I was taking the photos and I only wore the bra for 5 mins. I think that could be annoying. Apart from that it's a very pretty bra but I think it's mostly for looks and not everyday wear.

This, too, is simply stunning on you. I so hope they expand their band range! For those of us with shallow upper tissue, this may fit. Thanks for your review, photos, and data.

It's really, really, pretty. Oh how I do love this colour of pink soooooo much!
I agree with you about longlines - I can't wear them either. They roll up and that is so annoying. Since I am only 5'3" tall, I have a short torso. Longlines come down almost to my waist. I don't know how that could be comfortable.
However, if someone is taller, I suppose they could function like a mini corset if they have more than just lace i.e. structure below the band.
Also confused about the "bralette" name. More and more companies are making them and sometimes I struggle to see what makes them a bralette. Kinga makes a couple that are wired AND padded/push-up. How is that a bralette?

Simply gorgeous. It's a shame about the fit and sizing. 😔

That is gorgeous, I'm sorry it didn't work. I thought bralettes were supposed to be wireless lacey things. I have given up trying to find one that works for big boobs.

    • Love4Pollinators Thanks:) I love to try bras and review especially when I can get then with free shipping and return. I'd never tried this if I had to pay shipping because I knew it wouldn't work. Many Elomi bras come now in 32 bands but just this does not.

    • AGBras I love the pink too! I'm so sad I have no pink bra in my bra rotation :/ I have to continue my quest.

It seems like this bra is a weird hybrid between a longline and a bralette. Now that you mentioned it, yes longline bras usually have some sort of boning to shape like the Cleo Piper Longline Balconnet Bra (9351) .
I think this is what we think of as a bralette: https://www.bravissimo.com/products/zara-bralette-lilac-ln605llc/
The Elomi has no boning and the lace of the band is rather loose it does not shape at all. (I also doubt it would shape in a smaller band size)

I don't have a short torso but I have just the wrong shape for this kind of bra. My underbust is my smallest measurement and then my waist is 4 cm bigger and have this "upper belly roll" and that makes any of these bras fit weird and the band roll up, because they are made with the assumption that ones waist is smaller than the underbust.

    • Sovavosi This Bravissimo one https://www.bravissimo.com/products/zara-bralette-lilac-ln605llc/ looks promising, there are many positive Reviews but also many bad Reviews and that it is not good for big busts. I'd love to try it... but I doubt it would work for me… arghh but someone has to try it for science.

Some swear by Torrid bralettes but the bands on those are too big for me. Might work for you but the shipping might be too much.

    • Sovavosi do they do cup size or just S-XL?

    • 1

They do a numbering system that is basically S-XL.

    • 1

I don't trust a bra that comes from S-XL... my underbust could be a M but my boobs would need the space of the XL.

    • 1

I don’t blame you. I like what AGBras told me earlier. It is meant for a larger size chest, not boobs. The cups might still be the wrong size even if the circumference is correct.

Sovavosi EXACTLY!! My favourite "bralette" solutions are:
      1. My Andorra wire free
      2. A super light Anita sportsbra (classed as medium support) in 1 size larger than I wear at the gym. So, it's my REAL size, because for the gym I take 1 size smaller for a little more compression/control.

I just thought that S might be 28-30 underbust, M be 32-34 and so on... and the cups fit no bigger than DD or F cup? I mean with that size range they want to sell the bras so they would fit what they think are "average" sizes? I don't think they have a 32J in mind.

I'm still interested in trying Bravissimo Zara bralette or CK Unwind since they come in 32J at least.
