  1. Lace Strapless Longline (6620)

    42G

    Didn't fit

This bra is a must try if you have back and/or shoulder problems!

For reference I wear a 36J in Panache, a 36JJ in Elomi, a 36HH in Freya Hero (not sure about other models).

This bra has saved me. I have a kind of arthritis in one of the joints of my collar bone that sometimes just cannot handle having ANY weight on my shoulders (like not even a heavy necklace). So when it get's bad, bras become a BIG problem.

I didn't think I would ever find anything strapless in my size that would actually hold up my boobs but this bra does! I was fitted in a store ... (Brava Woman in Sydney), which I don't usually do because I already know my size but I'm so glad I tried it because I would have never thought of trying a 42G.

I think I would be happier with a 38 or 40 for my rib cage but unfortunately I have a bit of a tummy and because this is a very long long-line I need to size up otherwise it's too tight further down. I find that with the 42 if I use the closest hooks on the top two rows then this makes it a bit tighter at the top. Because it's quite tight further down and because of the boning this bra still manages to hold my boobs up very well even with the larger back.

The bra does gape outwards from my chest in the cups, they are not empty gaping, I just feel like it needs to be pulled in at the back - this might be because I had to go up a few sizes as mentioned above. The gore sits away from my chest but this is a small price to pay to not be in pain and it is not uncomfortable in any way.

The shape is very pointed and retro, def not round, but it gives impressive cleavage for a strapless. The appearance is really elegant and high quality.

The boning does dig into my ribs a bit if I'm sitting and don't sit up straight, but I guess that's just good motivation to have good posture!

The lift is fantastic for a strapless bra. My breasts are very much lifted, no sag at all. I'm quite impressed with this as my boobs are large and heavy!

If you have back problems and need a strapless bra that is supportive to wear on days when you can't handle straps you should definitely consider trying this one - and don't be scared off if they don't have your size - experiment! I find that even with a much larger back size than normal (and smaller cup size) I still get great support.

    • I did not realise Brava had opened a branch in Sydney. I may have to go check it out at some point! It's probably a waste of time owing my size, but I can fit it in with other fun central Sydney things like a visit to Kinokuniya (bookstore).

This looks like it's a great strapless if you fit (or even mostly fit) into the size range. Because a boned longline like this distributes the weight of your breasts over a wider area, I imagine it would be super great for taking the weight off your shoulders.

Ereshiy Brava took over the More than a Handful shop that's near town hall. I find they have more in stock since the change and their fitting and general customer service has improved vastly.

    • I only went to More Than A Handful once some years ago as they didn't really wow me with customer service or options in my size at the time. It's nice to hear that customer service and range have improved! People seem to be positive about Brava's Melbourne area stores, so hopefully some of this has been passed on to the new Sydney store.

I'm still not really in a size which is financially viable for a brick and mortar store to stock, but it's definitely worth having a peek. If nothing else I might be able to pick up some bra accessories or nice hosiery, and there's plenty to do on a day trip in Central Sydney.

This cup provides very good coverage. The cups are very large. 7" sides and 5 hook back give great support and helps spread the load. Shoulder pads help out with the 1" wide straps.

I have been wearing this bra as my everyday bra for the past three years. Support style for large heavy breasts; Wide cushioned straps, support slings in cups and 6 hook back. Difficult to put on in the morning, six back hooks, getting my breasts into the cups properly, "once in", it is so soft and comfortable and the fit so secure I actually love it. No bounce, weight is off my shoulders and spread over the wide back. Helps my posture, no backaches any more. Long wearing, love this bra and recently purchased three more of this style.

Good structured bras vanished over the years. Then my bra seeking radar locked on the 1303. Fabulous discovery ensued.

No offense intended, I am a cross-dresser with sizeable breasts and need bras on a daily basis.

    Full detailed review here: https://femineaaeterna.blogspot.com/2019/04/elila-1303-reviewed-absolute-best-bra.html

A fabulously addictive bra, egineered (yes, indeed !) for breast enhancement and emanciation. After 2 days in the "D" cup, tried the "E" which proved more appropriate.

Solid and firm yet feels light and comforting. A time capsule of long forgotten bra engineering. Looks, feels and works great. Deliciously assertively feminine.

Welcome to Bratabase! You make is bra sound quite wonderful, & I'm glad you are happy with it. Good bras are hard to find for sure!

    • 2

SIncere thanks MamaPagan ! This bra just obliterated most of my 200 or so items collection. Will have to seriusly dust the bra drawers ;)

Back then we had Triumh, CrossYourHeart, Naurana, MIss Mary of wseden. Equally Lou, Simone Perele, Scandale, SwissFit, Eggli Korsett and so on.

Today very few structured bras survive. I often rant on bra illetracy, such as here: https://femineaaeterna.blogspot.com/2019/03/bras-causing-breast-cancer-self.html

Guess I'll be posting more in here, mind, some are models found uniquely on the continent.

Have a super week, best hugs,

    • 1

Yes Elila is the real deal! Do you like it better than the Triumph Doreen?

    • 1

Don't get me wrong wendybien, Doreens are great pretty mechanically correct durable bras, they accompanied most of my breast emancipation. Eternal gratitude ! Pity they are phased out where I live...

The 1303 however takes things to the next level. It litteraly "aspires" breast tissue in the cups. And those cups are thiner, well sensitive and superb to wear. You feel the sling doing it's job, a pure vertical force component.

A very addictive hugging presence with mechanically correct engineered saping and a much higher "bra factor" than my doreens.

I was impressed to the point of putting together this review:

Sounds like you've found your ideal bra! I just read and enjoyed your review--very cool blog.

At my currently size or even when I was a bit larger (after having babies, etc.) I usually have not been able to notice any difference in feel or shaping from bras with internal slings. But for people with a heavier bust, a well-designed sling definitely seems to provide noticeable enhancement in shaping and uplift.

There are many Bratabase users who are from continental Europe, by the way, so your references will be useful to them!

    • 1

Many thanks wendybien, I appreciate your experience exchange, glad my blog rantings pleased you ;).

Guess the next review will be a molded "Esmara" (think ALDI) model. Oh my my... Spoiler, the strap snapped as I was shifting in reverse to get out of my garage.

The 1303 sling is more perceivable at the breast base and lateral outwards portions.

Mine are east-west and usually I usually feel the corresponding cup gathering action. Here, shaping was more on the periphery which somehow enhances projection IMHO.

I'm very sensitive to projection and firm chest band action, so many years of relentless hard bra wearing to get them going up in size.

Best comparison I can relate to is how a firm structured nursing drop-cup feels, they often have a "sling" chassis.

However I have a project on how to improve the 1303 sling structure. Will keep posted, it's still in the "design office".

Have a wonderful day, let tomorrow be even better ;)

Confortable, very good quality and support.
The 36 band sizes is little too large for me and the M cup little too small. Nothing is perfect!
However I must say that the Elila 1305 style bras is good for a lot of other reasons (strap, cushions, full cup…).

    • I noticed you can now buy this in N cup size. I'm going to try a 36N.
34N or 36N should be an improvement for you!

    • Great! Thank you Tia!
And I see there is new color too. I love Lilac!
      I think I will try the 34N.

    • I have the 34N. It is a great bra. 5hook back gives great support and the range of colours is amazing

    • Thank you Elila for yours information. In fact I try the 34N 6 month ago. But it was too small for me.

    42O

    Fits

I love Kaylee bras but this has been heavily altered. The original straps are replaced with double-length 1 inch wide elastic straps. The original shoulder pads are still on the straps (so helpful!!). I always need double-length straps for my N cups since I wear them around my hips. My CK thong is altered and sewn to the bra. Anyone with extremely long breasts would know that a bra/panty combination can provide nice support. I call these "Branties" as the Bra and Panty are sewn together. The sides of the thong are removed and the back is sewn into the eye section of the band so the back ... aligns with my butt when I wear the bra. I simply put the thong on like normal but the bra comes up with it. Reach back to close on the second row of hooks and then put the the straps on. Pretty straight forward and easy. This allows my chest to hang close to length but stay in position. My bra overhangs the top half of the panty causing an unseen front fold. When wearing a bra on your hips it also causes the wings to sort of crimp and fold over. Honestly, if your bra is being worn down by your underwear, it makes sense to look into turning your bra/underwear into a one-piece and have some variations. Anyway, as for the bra itself, I talked about that with my 50O. Absolutely fantastic bra, especially if you need alterations done. This setup allows me keep my breasts somewhat flat against my body and reduce the bulges in my dress and skirts. The Kaylee is super comfortable and would recommend this to anyone, especially larger chested gals!

    Purchased in 2019.
Bought at a boutique after several fittings. I needed a corset style strapless bra for a costume.
The cup was a bit too small, but I didn’t have many (or any, if I recall correctly) other options.
Surprisingly good fit. Didn’t shift down. Held my heavy tissue up without straps. Gore doesn’t tack, though.
Edit: well of course the cups were/are too small. I just realized this is a US 34H. There’s nothing on the label saying if it’s US or UK.

This is my new Elila 1505 in a 50N. I have a very narrow back but my bust is very large and heavy for my frame. This bra has a very deep 7" back with 7 rows of hooks so a lot of the load of my bust is spread across my back. Interesting as bra adverts only suggest it has 76 hooks! The 1" wide non stretch straps have extra wide pads that be adjusted to soften the load on my shoulders. The straps adjusters are strong plastic and easily adjustable but I'm hoping they stand the test of time. I'm familiar with the plastic strap adjuster on my old Elila 1305 that Elila solved by using metal adjusters. These adjusters do allow me to raise and lower my bustline with ease through. Only a few days use so far but looking good.

  10. Tulip Embroidered Underwire (2801)

    1
    like

    46F

    Hasn't set fit

To my standards it's a superb fit - I feel great in it despite some minor wrinkles. And it's still adapting, run-in period so they might smooth in a couple of wears.

The first underwired bra that I manage to fully befriend. Actually the second since the best tacking gore was so far the one of a Miss Mary of Sweden sturdy power-slip. Others did sort of fit, mostly the dreaded BAFH (Boob Annihilator From Hell) minimizers.

Here, a completely different story. Is rocket science invoved in this design? Anyhow the engineering, materials and quality of this bra are above premium.

No-stretch kind of velvety to the touch straps can take ... even substantial over-tightening without discomfort. Don't fall, all elasticity is performed by the back portion.

Reassuringly hugging wings in perfect balance between band, cups, straps, clasp. Collapsing, cutting? Ridding up? No, that ain't happening. Just hugging with love and authority.

I like to wear my bras rather tight and this one came true sized well suitable for the purpose. Will maybe hook it tighter as it ages. Better check with Elila in case of sizing doubts. They know their business https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

I don't have enough letters on my keyboard to describe what happens in the cups. They're hungry, insatiable for boobs. All of my boobs, including endowement I was not aware to posses.

Three panels design, smooth pleasant microfiber material, sling on the inside, delicate embroidery lace to the outside.

    Magnificent precision work. Deep. Sophisticated.

The run-in period allowed for 3 swoop&scoop sessions and even now I can sort of feel more breast tissue flowing in. Amazing.

It found the IMF and went into vertical take-off rocket booster mode as soon as the gore received it's convincing upwards adjusting pull.

A full authority bra that literally takes posession of boobs and achieves a significant volume performance.

We often talk projection, lift. All of that plus a very self assuring assertively harmonious volume. Not really pointy but still well projected though..

The rewarding presence of this bra is impossible to ignore. Compared to my past underwired cursus, the comfort is beyond luxury.

Bouncing is minimal, it stays put even when I reach topmost shelves.

    Wardrobe mayhem.

Whatever bustlines I have seem small to accomodate all that boobage. Most of my otherwise airy rather loose slips cry for mercy.

    No T-shirt is baggy enough.

My casual plain home-office dress revealed itself as weapon of mass seduction and proved it's field efficiency right after the very first deployement.

A super-bra, assertive, present, active ingredient to achieved self-assurance, does wonders even with east-west gone girls.

    I just love it.

I can see why you love it!! It is GORGEOUS! I LOVE tulips and this minimalistic embroidered sheer black is totally my thing. Alas, not in my size.

    • 1

I love the tulips, they are so unique and much less common than other types of flowers for prints and embroideries. The full inner sling looks very interesting as well, I haven’t come across this construction personally and would be curious to see how it works on different shapes and tissue densities.

Who knew that a simple bra could have such incredible powers? ;P

    • 2

      AGBras , belleandblues ,

Thanks for comforting my point of view that when well done, demure things can be breathtaking beautiful.

Even more, the color and somehow dull reflectivity of the cup fabric under the lace create a sort of 3D flowers illusion. However careful, that lace is rather delicate...

The sling ? It's kind of hard to explain. Like, imagine, hold your torso with flat hands and perceivably uplift at the IMF with a sling like hold between spreaded thumb and index.

A very lively sensation of comfort.

And it's a bit like I guess everything, analogy to cars for exemple.

Same here. This bra reminisces of a high end German engineered ride.

Discrete durable sophistication, dynamic comfy saloon, more than enough engine to tell what time it is no matter the distance to travel.

  11. Embroidered Microfiber Soft-cup (1301)

    1
    like

    48E

    Hasn't set fit

I like bras with authority over the emancipation of my boobs. Precisely what came out of the package. An Elila 1301, softcup with boned wings.

The 1301 borrows the band, wings, solid non-stretch straps and construction details of the absolutely great engineered boobs management device, the Elila 1303.

With some differences. The 1301 is made for smoother front appearance. Strap adjustment buckles are at the back and cups are of slippery smooth microfiber fabric with a slightly elastic sheer top panel.

The under-breast sling does not go to the strap anchor point as it does on the 1303.

This said, it feels and looks dramatically convincing, right from the box. Inviting, irresistible. ... Did I mention the to-die-for embroidery ?

I wear it unhooked a few minutes for preliminary straps check and most important of all, to allow the fabrics to warm-up, reach optimal elasticity and unfold from the flatness of the shipping.

And even then, with minimal convincing it shows to be very proficient at locating the IMF.

Good for me, helping hands offer assistance and shorten the hook-on process. Wow. Right.

It actually clicks on the IMF. Cups are high, carefully scoop and swoop a gogo.

I feel it stabilize, gently settle in place. It kind of comes to life, better wait a few hours, it might as well start to talk and say “Now I'm in charge, so you girls better behave !”.

Millimeter at a time, the cups aspire, literally, swallow my breasts with each movement. A delicious sensation as the slings joint the party and add a very rewarding gathering sensation.

Non-stretch wide straps ? Yes. Anytime. No slipping. No digging. No discomfort even if tightened beyond reasonable.

Yes but what is a reasonable bra setting for this bra ? Too loose doesn't really work. Kind of sloppy.

Too tight impairs projection. Very much too tight and the back might start to ride up. Yes might, that sturdy are the wings to keep things where they belong.

Mighty straps. All without digging in the shoulders or loose their flatness.

Experimentation shows that the best setting is when the entire bra begins to behave a bit like a brace, discretely promoting flat straight shoulders. An absolute delight.

Cups are smooth and somehow less “pointy” than their sister sheer lace ships of Elila 1303. Nevertheless, they spell projection with capital “P”. Oh Yes !

Even if the tit fairy had only the flavors shallow and east-west when she paid me a visit.

Deeper busts would certainly achieve a more uniform shape but who am I to complain about minor wrinkles? What this bra does is already far outside the reach of common tit-carriers.

A very assertive self confident bra. Walking and moving is like, “hey, I got them, so what's your problem with that ?”

Well suited for close fitting tops and even if the politically correct fashion police puts me on their heads-list, this achievement of bra engineering beauty deserves flashing.

Even far from a moral offense wardrobe incidents and sheer tops would stop traffic. Full bore boobs power baby !

A very good sturdy extremely pleasant to wear bra that does what it says. The kind one does not want take off even if mine seems to fit a bit on the tight side for this first try.

The chassis, wings, cup shape and slings work all day long and, even if I didn't take measures, I have the feeling that the projected volume of breast tissue had increased by evening time. Awesome ! Be it just an impression, it's a lovely one !

An extremely rewarding bra engineered for what bras should do best, cancel gravity and provide emotional and physical comfort.

And that's not all. Eventually time came to disrobe. Surprise ! The bra, this bra, won't fall by itself even when helping hands unhook it.

It holds the IMF line and the cups are designed so well that I had to slightly pull them to free my breasts.

Tomorrow is another day, another occasion to experience the hug of this bra. Looking forwards, any time!

      Very pretty.
Do you still prefer this style/shape more than an underwire?

    • 1

      Looks comfy!

      AGBras ,
Well, that's a very good question indeed. And the answer is not a simple affair. In a nutshell:

I was not supposed to have boobs. Not satisfied with this verdict I called, implored the Tit Fairy for clemency. Eventually I started to submit my chest to the effects of sturdy pointy “heavy duty” bras with very rigorous bands worn as tight as it gets. With the help of soy milk it worked and by progressively increased cups size, changes became permanent.

So yes, I go for Elila 1301 and 1303. And still think that they are an absolute must, best possible option for breast emancipation and nostalgic pointy/torpedo glamour in my case. Which I can fully enjoy now daily as a very comfortable fleet for laundry rotation.

I genuinely hate those molded motorcycle helmets like mass produced one size stuffs most so called underwired bras. Abyssal quality, zero appeal, all the same never mind the brands.

To the opposite, the good ones seem to hate me. I would feel great in maybe one of 13 or 15 purchased underwired bras. However....

Things were much different when I donned an Elila 2801. Which I will review anytime soon. Spoiler, rocket science must have been an essential part in it's engineering.

      MamaPagan ,
Oh yes, it sure is to the point of becomingaddictive ;)

    • A comfortable bra is the best kind of bra, right? 😍

    • MamaPagan ,
A bra is one of these deeply personal things that one experiences in an equally personal way.

For me a bra has to be comfortable and I have to be comfortable with. Like, just set it and forget it doesn't do it.

It has to be "present", communicate in it's own way, shape, hug & tug, impose authority over whatever it has to hold.

I call this presence "bra factor". It's a hard to define thing. What might have a high bra factor for me might be confusingly inapproriate to others and vice versa.

That's why I try to express both in my reviews insead of concentrating on perfecct wrinkle free catalog like fitting.

Pretty normal some models have more appeal and peak bra factor.

      Long life to bras !

    • Refer to my Elila 1515 44L
I do not think a cup N with a front closure is impossible to realize, I think it just would have sufficient demand to encourage manufacturers to produce and with a more advanced type of closure that simples hooks.
There are only a few years the Elila game stop at the cup L, hence my choice of this cup .
with the time my weight evolving cup L became a bit tight for me. and my couture reprise from my 'Elila 1515 50L' compared with my others 'Elila 1305 44L and 42N' .( I give the measurements here ).
Having said that besides the practical side of the front closure that can partially open !
also there is no relief visible in the back!
      In conclusion, I have a dream :-)

I have a small frame and large breasts, size 40I. This is my "everyday" bra that lifts, shapes and supports the weight of my breasts. This bra gives me such a beautiful shape. . The inner foam sling in the cups gives great shaping to the breasts. The straps are wide, padded and do not cut into into my shoulders. I purchased five additional bras of this style plus I also own three of the front hook style of this bra. I hand wash my bras and line dry therefore they last a long time. I would recommend this bra to any full busted woman.

I partage your perfect description concerning the comfort and the shape giving by this two modeles of bra.

I been wearing Elila Jacquard Soft Cup Bras (Front Hook and Back Hook) for a number of years. I needed a longline for a "Formal Dress" and purchased the Elila Front Hook Longline bra. The bra is easy to put on with the Front Hooks, also makes my back smoother. Hard to find Longline bra's that is available my cup size "J". This bra is available in a "G cup so I had to go up a band size and down a cup size to 42 G, fits fine. The quality, support and fit and fantastic!
Received many compliments when I wear this bra under my dress!

I am a size 40I and needed a comfortable firm support bra. I also been wearing the Elila Jacquard Back Hook bra for the past few years. I decided to try the Front Hook version. I find the Front Hook is much easier to put on and without the back hooks my clothes look much smoother. With the back support and lift that I get with this bra, my back and shoulder straps no longer pain me. Being small framed and top heavy (I seem to be just all out front) requires special 'assistance' daily. The wide straps give me shoulder comfort, the wide back and sides helps hold my bra in place. Also the firm cups with under cup support panels keeps me from sagging as the day goes on. I can now defy gravity and be comfortable all day.

    • I too have a back and front opening @Elila (40H/40I).
@Longlines are easily the most comfortable bra for the larger, @heavy bust, yet fewer an fewer seem to be available these days.
I would be very interested to make contact with the diminishing band of 'longlne' fans. sincerely. G.C.

This bra gives great support. In the N cup it has 5 rows (4 columns) of hooks at the back which means it is wide and helps take some of the weight of my hefty bust. The bra is available in 5 colours and has a nice shiny finish, The bra provides excellent coverage on my large boobs and small frame

    Hasn't set fit

This Kaylee is the same as my other 44N but this one has triple length straps as opposed to double. This one has panties sewn to the band as opposed to a thong. I like to have 3 versions for hip huggers: standard, panty, thong. This takes a bit more effort to pull up like pants due to the underwear material but this is also more conservative than a thong setup. Still love these Kaylees and recommend them to anyone!

Mostly the same as my Rose version review but. I kept the original straps on this Kaylee as I wanted to wear this above my stomach. While the straps are not AS STIFF as the jacquard, they are still stiff. But unlike the jacquard the kaylee bra itself has more "give" in the construction and does a better job at contouring the breast. Imagine the jacquard as sleeping on the ground and the kaylee is like sleeping in a hammock; it forms around you and contours. The bra works stock but also works with alterations, good to have different setups of the kaylee.
