  1. Lace Wire-free Nkn-foam Comfort Cotton (W493)

    36DD

    Fits

    Very short-waisted, immediately projected, shallow apex projection, center full, close set, even vertical distribution breasts....

    Mid-weight, soft cotton combined with a wide, plush, elastic band make a very comfortable bra.

    This is a simple bra that executes its simple task of supporting breasts comfortably better than most. I've returned tens of bras very inferior to this one. If you need a comfortable, wireless, light support bra, Delmira's Non-foam Comfort Cotton Lace Bra may delight you, too.

    The design accommodates immediate projection as well as center projection. A side sling helps move breast tissue forward. Tall, center-full roots may be less thrilled, but shorties will rejoice. Fitting my close-set, center-full breasts is ... a challenge in even wireless bras. Delmira's design handles those characteristics well.

    The 3-column fastener combined with plush, thick elastic creates a supportive band. Additionally the straps are wide, and supportive, and fully adjustable.

    The size range is not designed for small bands. But, the band runs one size small. So, this 36 feels like a 34. Eventually, I will shorten it.

    Short roots looking for a comfortable and supportive cotton bra, check this bra out.

    Didn't fit

    Most strapless bras in my size (28DD, 30D if I sister size up) do mot fit me well. Oftentimes they are too closed on top, especially on the outer edge. I am not extremely high set but they almost alway cut in my armpit which creates a very unflattering shape. And if they are open on top, they would come up in tall and shallow cups that either flatten me or gape on me. So after so many years of trying strapless bras, I decide to give up my correct size and seek chance in the matrix-sized ones. This one turns out to be the biggest success so ... far. The band is loose for me but tight as a 32, as it only stretches to 30". It does not fall off my 26" ribcage on the tightest hooks, but I probably still need to alter it in the future. It has a low gore and removable pushup padding, which helps bring my boobs forward and center, creating a nice look. It is shallow, but the edge of the cups hugs my shape nicely without gaping or cutting in. Overall, it is well-designed and worth keeping. Cost me only $19 on Amazon.

    Edit 10/3/18: the band is loosing up quickly after a few wears. Yikes, too loose for me now.

    • i have the same problems with a strapless, i think i might try this one you got. i also have the additional problem of having extreme back fat when wearing a strapless, i don't have back fat when wearing a regular bra tho.
      do you think this bra would work of a flared ribcage? should i size up from my usual 32D to a 34C since the band is so tight? :)

    • 1

      moriko It depends on your preference of band tightness. It seems the bras that fit you currently stretch to 30"-32", so I think 32D is probably fine, but it may be better to try both sizes to compare, especially regarding the back fat problem.

    I gained 20 pounds the last 2 years, and my boobs grew and grew. I went from 28FF/30F to 34G, and my need for comfort also grew. I put less emphasis on superior support and lift and prettiness, and more emphasis on comfort and utility - hence this bra.
    I actually love this bra so much. Does it have amazing support? No. Does it fit and support me well enough? Yes. I keep the straps a little looser for comfort or it would actually have better support than the pictures show.
    It maintains a nice rounded look and has all the features I currently look for in my bras: ... comfortable enough for a long shift at my physical job, wires that I can't tell are there, comfort straps, 3x3 hooks, adjustable and long straps, encloses my boobs, and has padding that hides my nips.
    I own 3 of these (2 in this size and one smaller). I bought them off amazon for a good price too...bonus.
    *note that this bra has been pretty well worn by the time I measured it, so band length was probably a bit smaller when new.

    My shape: slightly wide, slightly tall roots with splayed shape, evenly full top and bottom, slightly center-full. close-set at the top. I need a fair amount of projection at the wire. My best fitting sizes are 34G/36FF in Panache.

    The pricetag of 17 USD on Amazon had me curious to try this. It's not bad. The Delimira brand is part of La Isla and is made in China. It seems like this particular brand is focused on what are called "full-figure"and "plus-size" models.

    First off, the sizing on this bra is some kind of variation of UK sizing that doesn't include double letters. The ... Amazon size chart is no help and the listing does not explain the sizing of this bra so I'll do that here:

    C,D - same across all sizing systems
    DD = UK DD, US DD, EU E
    E = UK E, US DDD or F, EU F
    F = UK F, US G, EU G
    G = UK FF, US H, EU H
    H = UK G, US I, EU I

    Sizes range 34C-38H, 40C-G, 42C-F, and 44C-E. Amazon lists it as a "Full Coverage Non-Foam Floral Lace Plus Size Underwired Bra".

    All materials are very soft and non-scratchy. The bottom of the cups has a cottony lining. The band is a single layer very stretchy shiny knit fabric with elastic top and bottom; fits me with room to spare. I can easily fasten on the middle hook but it will stay put on the loosest. It's nice that there are 3 hooks in this size and I think that helps the band feel secure even though it's stretchy.

    The tops of the cups come up pretty high and I don't quite fill them. The straps are placed a little wider than I'd expect for a full coverage bra. I would size down but the cups are almost cutting in to my center fullness as it is. I think a size down would flatten me out on the top. I may try an alteration that will move the straps in a little and take up some of that top fullness if I can do it without making the tops of the cups cut in near the gore.

    The wires are firm; not Panache-firm but sufficiently firm to hold against my sides and not distort. Their width is comfortable for me.

    The shape is not stunning but it is somewhat supportive. I can wear it for many hours before feeling any discomfort at all. It's worth at least $17 and gives me another beige bra to put in the rotation.

  6. Plus Size Soft Cup Comfort Sleep Maternity And Nursing Bra

    34DD/E

    Fits

    I never found a sleep bra that wasn't too small before. I've finally found the right one. This is so comfortable.
    The band feels true to size and although very stretchy, it gives enough support at home while still feeling comfortable enough for sleeping with the bra on. Sadly the smallest available band is 34, but the 34 band is small enough to allow a 32 to sister size up and wear the 34 band as a sleep bra.
    The bra is made of a single layer of synthetic fabric that's quite thin and breathable but still pretty robust and supportive. The bottom seam accommodates for projection and although ... it's sizing a little bit small in the cup (I'd say it fits a 34D/DD better than the 34DD/E shown on the label), it's stretchy and supportive enough without feeling compressive. The cups have some lace that's a bit scratchy, but fortunately there's an elastic under the lace that limits skin contact. The elastic contains boobs firmly at night and keeps them separate.
    This is by far the best fitting sleep bra I've ever found, and it's pretty cheap too. I definitely recommend if you're projected, but don't hesitate to size up in the cup and get a DD/E size if you're a projected D cup, and a F/G size if you're a projected E cup.

    I had to list this as "Unknown" because of a computer glitch, but it is most definitely the Delimira Sleek Strapless #W593. For whatever reason, the computer programming didn't allow me to enter the data as was listed on the tag. It kept popping up an error message saying "Data was tampered. Please try again." (Both the sewn-in tag and hanging tag said "US/UK 32F, EU 70G, FR 85G".)
    Now for fit: wide and shallow! Completely the wrong shape for me. The wires were pushed out of my IMF, well onto my ribs. The cups quadded significantly the entire edge, even on my smaller side. The outer wires were well behind my armpit. The gore refused to sit flat (couldn't sit flat no matter how much I tried.)

    Ok so, this bra doesn't technically FIT in the way a bra is supposed to fit. But it's perfect for its purpose. I wanted a comfortable at-home/sleep bra. I wear 34G normally but ordered 36E in this because I read the bands run snug and E is their largest cup. This works! I'd like the straps to tighten a bit more but it's otherwise really good and SUPER COMFORTABLE. Up until now, I've worn sports bras at home and for sleeping. This is more comfortable and more attractive. I wouldn't wear it in public under a snug t-shirt but that wasn't my intent. So I'm happy.

    This is the best strapless bra I have ever found. Low cut design, soft material, doesn't flatten the girls but gives a little but of a push up. I especially love the low cut design, which makes this bra excellent to wear with halters, sweethearts, strapless, etc without showing the bra. The seamless mounded bra is designed to give a smooth look under fitted clothing and it does just that!

    Ummm well, I would recommend this bra if you wanted your natural breast shape with no support but to also be wearing a bra that's uncomfortable. I did not think this was possible, it has somehow managed to be uncomfortable but also leave my boobs in the EXACT same place as if I weren't wearing a bra. Instead of having a small dip after the wire or being straight or lifted, my boob goes down to touch my tummy fat while wearing this bra. Its also scratchy and the wires have minimal padding, plus it digs into my armpits (most bras I try on do but not this ... bad!). Only pro I've found is that the top straps are a nice material that has a good stretch. From the side I have a soft w shape to my breasts- as in a nice curve but then a nice drop down but it keeps going down and then finally goes back up. No part of the gore even kind of tacks. This bra seems so off the rails for me its almost impressive how it still manages to technically be a bra.

    This bra is marked incorrectly for it's size it is a US size matrix and still a bit wonky at that. This bra doesn't work for me the gore is too tall and the wires overall are too long and wide. The cup is shallow and I get a weird fold in my breast. I was hoping for an inexpensive bra that would fit and instead got something that didn't. This will go into my pile of rejects as it's well beyond the return time. I purchased this bra in March of 2020. It also appears to have been discontinued.

    Sizing seems pretty generous and variable which can be good I guess. Meaning it stretches to accomodate large band and cup sizes. Band is super stretchy and cups are also super stretchy. No support or lift. Extremely soft materials all over (I especially love the lace and the thin cotton lining on the bottom part of the cup). Extremely flat splayed shape. Gentle rose color is gorgeous. Shape is really not much better than braless. Maybe for around the house?

    Despite it's poor fit, I'd say it feels like the quality is decent so maybe it would fit someone else.

    Very stretchy cups and good projection, considering it didn't fit at all. The underwire was about an inch too wide for me, but a surprisingly good shape for relatively narrow and projected breasts, so I'm hoping going down in the band will give me a better idea of the fit and support. The stretchy lace on top was comfortable when I tried to pull it into the correct position on my ribs, even though it made me spill out and gave some quad-boob. The wires rode up and sat on my breast tissue above the intramammary fold, and every time I moved, I fell out of the bottom ... a little more, so I can't speak to wire comfort.

    If the cups were bigger, I think it would actually give pretty good coverage, with decent depth. Feels a little flimsy, though, and the fabric seemed to already be pilling slightly as I pulled it out of the package, but for 20 USD, it's very pretty and a good shape. Definitely makes me want to try more stretch lace bras. I do wish there was another row of hooks. This might also be a good bra for women with slightly broader shoulders than mine, as the straps sat very wide on me (above the crease of my armpit) and seemed to pull the cup slightly out of shape, causing some mild gapping at the very edges.

    This is my first foray into properly sized and properly shaped bras after a lifetime of trying to fit into 36C and (more recently) 38D bras that were way too shallow. Definitely giving me some confirmation that this style will be better for my full on top, close-set, pendulous breasts. The cups felt really comfortable and soft on my breasts, so depending on how supportive it turns out to be once I try a properly fitting one, I think it'll be a good choice for the parts of the month where my breasts are extremely large and tender. (Right now I'm trying it at my smallest part of the month where they feel pretty unremarkable.)

    I decided to try this DELIMIRA bra because it looks very similar to the Mae Wireless T-Shirt Bra (http://bra.pe/SCLEE/) that has become my casual summer go-to. The Mae seems to be unfortunately discontinued and is no longer available in 30 bands, so I decided to try this as an alternative. Sadly, the fit is different, and the quality is not up to par.

    I tried the original fabrication in the color Adobe Rose in size 30D, which didn't work out. I reordered 30DD in the new version called "Black So Soft," which is an improvement, but I still don't like the fabric. ... Instead of the slick, cool microfiber used on the Mae bra, the DELIMIRA is made from fuzzy microfiber that has a very warm handfeel. The black has a peached feel, which I don't like, and attracts fibers like nobody's business. As I mentioned in my review for the other DELIMIRA bra I tried, overall I find the quality of these bras to be pretty mediocre. For this bra especially, I would say quality is below par for the price range as you can get much nicer quality from brands like Target. There are absolutely no trims on the bra except standard hardware.

    The cut of the bra is very similar to the Mae, with tall, molded wireless cups that have a deep plunge into the gore. The gore is a bit narrower than on the Mae, but the measurements are about the same. The band on this bra is the only real redeeming factor, because it is quite firm and feels TTS for a 30. There is flexible plastic boning at the side of the cradle where it connects to the wings, but it feels extra heavy and cheap. Straps are standard width for a matrix brand, but some design genius decided that instead of leaving the straps fully adjustable, they are tacked at a forced stopping point in the back, so they are only partially adjustable.

    The 30D was way too small and cut into my center tissue, but the 30DD is a much better fit in the cups. I wish they were a bit shorter, since they do come up quite tall, but they feel OK. The Mae bra in 30DD was too tall under the arms and chafed, so this one actually fits better in my normal size. However, I am not planning to keep this bra, because the fabric is unpleasant. The shape the bra gives me is natural, but nothing special, and the cups are still rather shallow in shape, so that if you pull the straps tighter, it will give you a flattened appearance rather than lifting. I have other bras that give better shape with comfort in mind, so there's no reason for me to keep this bra.

Sadly, both fit and quality fall flat in this bra.

    I have this in the color Adobe Rose, which seems to be one of the original fabrications as Beige and Black have been replaced with a new version called "So Soft." Instead of the slick, cool microfiber used on the Mae bra, however, ... the DELIMIRA is made from cheap, fuzzy-looking microfiber that reminds me of generic matrix bras from cheap big-box department stores. The fabric already looks a bit pilly when brand new, so I can't imagine what it would look like after repeated wear. As I mentioned in my review for the other DELIMIRA bra I tried, overall I find the quality of these bras to be pretty mediocre. For this bra especially, I would say quality is below par for the price range as you can get much nicer quality from brands like Target. Straps are standard width for a matrix brand, but some design genius decided that instead of leaving the straps fully adjustable, they are tacked at a forced stopping point in the back, so they are only partially adjustable.

    It is this terrible strap construction that makes me hate this bra, because the cups should in theory fit me similarly to the Mae bra, but in reality they cut in horribly to my center tissue because the cups are so tight against my body. The cup shape is also quite closed off at the center, so it can't accommodate center-full shapes. At the same time, the cup design is quite tall, so those who have very short roots may find themselves unable to fill out the upper cup. The cup shape is similar on the Mae, but since the band is looser and the straps are fully adjustable, I am able to get a "comfortable" fit in that style, while it may not be technically correct.

    I decided to try this in a 30DD in the new Black So Soft colorway in the name of science, but my hopes aren't very high. So far, DELIMIRA is not proving to be a strong player in the budget bra space.

    30DD

    Didn't fit

    I picked up this random DELIMIRA bra from Amazon because I thought the design looked nice, and the price was very reasonable. Amazon's bra brands have been very hit or miss, but I decided to try this and one other style from DELIMIRA to see if it could be a good option for those who don't want to spend much on their bras and can fit into a matrix size range.

    This is one of the few DELIMIRA styles offered in a 30 band, so I started off with ordering my standard sister size of 30DD. I thought that this bra looked really familiar but I couldn't ... quite pinpoint it until I realized the cups fit me like a Wacoal bra that I tried in the past and didn't work out. After looking around, I realized that this is an exact dupe for exact dupe of the Wacoal Embrace Lace Underwire T-Shirt Bra (853191) (http://bra.pe/MB17/), down to the colorway I ordered, Black #1, which is black with ivory and black embroidery.

    This is pretty blatant copying, but I guess I'm not surprised given the types of things that proliferate Amazon. The good news is that the measurements are identical, so if Wacoal molded cup bras work for you, this is a viable dupe, though I would say the quality doesn't feel quite up to par with Wacoal's. However, after trying this bra, I think I can safely conclude that Wacoal molded cup bras don't suit my shape.

    The band is pretty TTS for a 30 band, and feels reasonably firm considering that it is made from lace. However, the cups for me were a big problem, both in volume and shape. In my experience and verified by looking at measurements here, Wacoal's cup size runs about half to a full size larger than normal. In this bra, I found that the cup width and depth were fine, but the cups were proportioned to be too tall. This means in order to get the upper part of the cup to fit, the bottom of the wire is sitting too low and there is visible emptiness at the bottom of the cup. I can't pull up the cups to have the wires sit in my IMF because they are just too tall for my body, so there's nowhere for them to go. In addition, the height of the cup also means that it's too wide at the top, cutting into my armpit area, and the strap placement becomes a problem as well. Based on this, I don't think Wacoal bras are suitable for petite wearers or people with short torsos for this reason. I have previously tried the Wacoal Lace Affair in 30D when I was a 28DD/30D and had a similar problem with the cup proportions not being right, so I don't think these styles suit me.

    Fit aside, this is a pretty decent bra. The cups are made from smooth microfiber, and the foam is soft and comfortable. The shape is rounded and projected. The two tone lace on my bra goes throughout the cradle and the band, and is of decent quality, though it doesn't look as nice in person as I expected from the photos online. The straps are standard skinny straps found on most matrix-branded bras, and have a slight picot edging. Straps on this style are fully adjustable. There are no other trims or decorations.

    If Wacoal molded up bras work for you, you have a long torso, and you aren't bothered by buying blatant knockoffs, this could be a decent option at a very affordable pricepoint!

    Didn't fit

    This bra is very wide and the wires are very spongy. The cups didn't feel supportive, more like they basically wrapped over my breasts and that's it.

    If the wires were more firm and narrow and the cups were more structured, it might have worked. Sending back.

    Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft.
