I've been eying the this bra for a while and finally took the plunge when it went on sale. I noticed when looking on the entries for my usual size (28GG) that the cups seem to run small. I'm pretty sure this is intended to give the "sexy" effect, but I wasn't too keen on that so I went ahead and ordered a size up. In the end, I'm glad I did, because it juuuust fits.
The design is definitely alluring, in particular with the berry/black, but doesn't have quite the oomph I was expecting. That could be because I ordered up a size, but I know there's ...other ways to make a bra cleavage-y without just making it too small in the cups, so it's just a teensy bit disappointing. For all the cleavage hype, the cups are suprisingly tall and spaced, imo. The straps are very wide set, much too wide for me. If I were to wear the straps where the bra wants them to be, they'd be slipping off my shoulder all day long and I'd get gaping at the top edge, so I have to pull them in to sit in the right place. The sides don't poke for me, but if you typically have issues with tall, wideset cups poking armpits then you'll probably get that problem in this bra. The padding is very light, the material itself isn't itchy or uncomfortable for me, but I've noticed the lace at the top of the cup can give the illusion of gaping, even though the top of the cup is flat against the breast. The wires are also pretty wide, but that's basically a given with Curvy Kate. They're stiff but not stabby. The bra has three hooks and the band is on the strechier side of a 28, more like a 30.
Over all, I love it, and the SO gives it two thumbs up https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />
Edit: Unfortunately, after wearing this bra a few times, I've discovered it's SO shallow at the bottom that during wear my boobs will actually push the bra out of my imframmary fold and down my ribs, where it will chafe. So, daily wear is out https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Still good for special occassions! Read more 276 more words
I have very tall roots nearly all the way to my collar bone and this type of bra works well. I also thought I was quite shallow and wide but I'm not sure about that now as the wires on this bra sits quite far below my breast tissue, suggesting I'm pushing the wires down. Despite this, I think this bra still technically fits better than my old bras, but my next try will be something that's a half cup with more projection in the cups.
not like old-classic one, it's little bit projective. from side view I can see the cup has changed. it's little bit pointy, which is almost hardly noticeable. but still you can see the difference. I prefer old one, old one is literally half cup design. but this one it's more like semi plunge-half cup bra.
This is a pretty but substantial bra. It is too big for me in the band and the top of the cup. The wire wore through the fabric on one side and pokes through. It shows through clothes. The straps don't stay short and they fall off my shoulders. The pants have detachable suspenders which look pretty but if you wear stockings it pulls the pants down!
I love it I love it I love it and that´s almost everything https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
So... The cranberry colour is lovely (never actually been a huge fan of red, but I think I´ll have to change my mind), and the shape it gives to me is wonderful, uplifted... This is probably the best style of bra for me.
The side wings are a little bit high (but I have this problems with all my bras, so I don´t even think of it as a true negative) and it hurts my arms a bit, but not too much. However, if you are not as "tall" as ...me (165cm), it might be a more serious issue for you.
The light ribbon might be seen through some clothes, but it´s fine under a good fabric. The lace and such stuff do not seem to be prominent under my clothes, so that´s fine. But probably do not wear very thin tops with this bra (unless you want to show how pretty it looks, of course https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />)
Currently, my breasts seem to be getting smaller (something between 28HH/J), so it´s slightly big on me, but that changes from day to day. I don´t have problem with the slight gaping I am experiencing now.
It´s one of the most beautiful bras I have ever seen and I really hope Curvy Kate will continue this one in many other lovely colours! Read more 136 more words
First off, this bra is very pretty. It is light pink (I believe "blush" is the given name) with a black lace overlay and little pink bows. Oh how I wish it worked with my shape! Overall I'd say it runs about true to size. The cup volume may have been a little big for me, but given all of the shape mismatches I had its hard to tell. I did not look into this bra before buying it, and basically every aspect of it is the opposite of what I would need. The wires are about average width for a bra this size, which does not mesh with my extremely narrow roots. The cups are also pretty shallow, which doesn't work with my projected shape. The cups are also way too tall for me. This is one of those cases where I got lured in by the appearance and didn't do my research. This bra would work well for someone with tall roots with an average width, and minimal projection.
