My review starts with the caveat that I bought Curvy Kate Superplunge Multiway Padded Plunge Bra two band sizes up and one cup size down because that was the closest Figleaves had to 30F during their closeout sale. I would've sized up in the band at least to a 32, because of reviews saying it runs tight, but I would've gotten the 32DD.or 34DD.
Curvy Kate Superplunge has a super low gore, as low as that of my Holy Grail Bra, the Simone Perele Muse Triangle Push-up Bra. The latter has normal height wings. The Curvy Kate Superplunge's wings are a lousy 2.5" in height. Talk about unattractive underarm ...bulge! The seams are functional, which is great for shaping. I'm lucky that Simone Perele Muse's molded, seamless cups suit me. I know some people prefer seamed cups because they aren't so lucky in that way. Curvy Kate's Latte color is great for disappearing under clothes. It's darker than my skin tone, but not so much it would cause an issue. Simone Perele's Peau Rose color, on the other hand, is just a bit too light pink for me. It's usually not a problem.
Superplunge's finish quality is mediocre, on a par with Ewa Michalak. The piece holding the hooks has sharp edges. There's nearly an inch of unfilled wire channel in each cup.
I would try a 34DD Superplunge from Belle Lingerie, but I'm pretty sure the wings will still be at least an inch too short. I like the multifunctional straps and extra pieces so much, I would probably keep trying until I found the right cup size, if the wings worked for me. The gore is super, super low, which is my unusual fit issue. It's extremely hard to find a gore low enough for me, especially in a full band bra. Read more 193 more words
I wish I could find a Tease Me that fits, but maybe I need to accept that Curvy Kate bras do not work for me. At some point I'd like to try maybe a 28-something. I've also tried 32F.
This one I tried was altered down to ~30E by the previous owner. Unfortunately, these cups don't even pretend to fit my breasts - there's some sort of weird lump-boob effect happening that makes me look misshapen.
I really like this bra under t-shirts it gives a nice smooth, rounded shape. My only complaint would be that I think the band is a little looser than it should be but I can fix it with a rixie clip.
In case there are fit differences between colorways, this review is for the powder blue version.
Going into this purchase i knew i was taking a risk that probably wouldn't pan out- but it was such a good deal on Brastop, and so cute! ive been trying to get my hands on this bra for a while, and im glad i at least know a little more about how it would fit.
Firstly, this bra is beautiful. The light blue is very flattering on my pale tone, and a very unexpected color for me in lingerie. The materials feel comfortable, and the detailing is very up my alley with ...the ribbons, bows, and fishnet lace sort of overlay. I'd really love a pink or red one too!
Fit wise, this is obviously very off for me. The band does feel veeerryy stretchy, i can see how most people size down in it! It does feel sturdy even though it stretches past 34, the same way the Tease Me does. Im not sure id want to size down to a 32 or not, as i measure 34/35 around and don't like to go much below that, but i'll probably try. the cups look probably one cup too small, maybe two, and it's most noticeable in the fact that my nipples are *just* contained. the wire also needs to be wider, i can see it sitting on some tissue. i like the half cup style because it eliminates the gaping i so often get with fuller cups. The top edge of the cup does sit away from my body slightly even though the cup is overfilled, and im thinking its from the lace detail. Im not bothered by it, as i wouldnt plan on wearing it with tight t shirts anyway.
Its too expensive to send this back to the uk, so i'll be looking to sell it along with the size 18 an 20 matching thongs i got in case it panned out. Hopefully next time is the charm! Read more 227 more words
This bra is the blue one. I think my best size in Tease me is 28F, so I´ll alter the band down and see how it fits. I will edit this review later.
EDIT. Band altered and the bra is now as okay as it gets! The cup volume and the wire width is exactly the same as in my black+purple version in 30E. The cups are a little problematic, barely covering areolas, and the shallowness is a bit odd... boobs are "on a plate" definitely. I´m accepting this.
