    Didn't fit

    Full review on my blog! But here's a summary...

    The bikini is a gorgeously vibrant turquoise/deep aqua colour (although this is officially described as 'jade') and the cups are edged in a heathery purple. The ruffle along the edge of the cups is a pretty feature and gives the bikini a feminine touch. The ruffle also continues along the back of the bikini which is a nice attention to detail.

    The lightly padded cups are generous and I found the 32K to be a good fit, although the sides came up too high under my arms so it was rather uncomfortable. However the cups themselves were lovely ... and deep, which suits my boob shape very well.

    The band fitted really well and I think the 30 would have been too tight for me.

    I struggled a little with the clasp at first but soon got the hang of it. I think it must do up in the opposite way to my other bikinis!

    The straps adjust fully but I found even this was not enough for me - they really are very long indeed.

    All things considered, I will be returning this bikini top for a 32J, just so I get a better uplift and hopefully less digging in under my arms.

    Such a great bikini begs the question for me as to why Curvy Kate don't make padded bras in larger cup sizes - surely similar principles apply for bikini tops and bras? Fingers crossed this is something they will look into in the future.

    This swimtop is gorgeous. I love the vibrant colors and the comfortable fit. I wasn't crazy about the Ruffles so I removed them.

    Unfortunately, It's now too big for me.

    I really liked this Bikini when it fitted me, it was very comfortable and supportive at the same time. This model does have a firm band too.
    The cups do run a bit generous on these older CK bikinis (this one is from their first Swimwear collection from 2012) so don't get fooled by newer ones that fit 1 cup size small. I could wear a 32JJ-34J in those old CK Bikinis when I was a 32K in bras.

    Didn't fit

    I purchased this bra because I own the Curvy Kate Horizon in a 28G and the cups whilst fitting my breasts perfectly at the bottom and sides are a little tall. Since the Rio has the same shape I thought a 28FF would be perfect. WRONG!
    The band on this is very tight. It's not so much due to the size of the band but rather the lack of stretch. The cups are way too small for me. So much so that I think I'd be better off with a 28GG. Haven't had a chance to use this set yet so I'm not sure how it will go in ... the water. The one pleasing thing about this bra is that it doesn't have tall cups. I am so sick of tall cups, especially in swimwear where you don't want any gaping or immodesty. If I could find a better size in this It would be perfect as the set looks stunning. I do wish it had thinner straps though. They are a bit too wide for my liking. After all this is a bikini not an everyday support bra.

    Didn't fit

    I'd been lusting after this swimsuit for quite some time, so when I saw that Brastop had it on for cheap, I simply had to buy it. When it arrived, the fit was great, save for the empty space at the sides, which really doesn't bother me much because it still looks great and gives phenomenal support. The wires don't go all the way up the centre gore, which looks a little odd to me, but upon contacting Brastop about this, they said that it was totally normal for this model. It's fairly comfortable with no poking and it doesn't seem to have stretched much since I bought it. It's way too small in the cups now due to homeward migration, so I have to do the dreaded tuck and jiggle when I wear it. Fortunately, I'm pretty sure that once I'm tucked in, my spillage can be mistaken by the general public as killer cleavage. I'll probably be listing this once I get more/better swimsuits.

    Didn't fit

    There are things I love about this bikini and things that I don't love so much. This was my first experience with Curvy Kate, though, and overall, I'm excited to try out more from this brand.

    First, this bikini fabric is gorgeous! I know neon is a big trend right now, but it's not for me, and luckily, the rio isn't a great big "look at me!" neon, but a deep, rich blue accented with a beautiful rich purple. It's too rich to be loud and too pretty to be drab. I love it. The fabric feels soft and sturdy, and I love that it's padded to make sure ... nothing shows through and to give extra support. The only downside? This fabric has very little stretch and the band is cut very small. It makes sizing for me difficult. I don't want to size up because I feel like the cups would come out too far and high on the sides, but I can feel the band cutting into me. I'm crossing my fingers that the band will loosen after a wear or two.

    The shape of the cups is tricky. I love the cup depth, it just feels so perfect and not squishy. I don't have any gapping or quad-boob, and the sides aren't poking me or wrapping too far underneath my arms. I feel supported. So I think this must be the right size for me, except...it seems that there's way too much fabric in the diagonal between my clavicles and my armpits. I don't have any breast tissue there, so there's nothing for it to support, and all the extra fabric and the plunge shape of the bikini gives it a huge "east/west" look. I'm a perfectionist, and I don't want to spend my vacation hiding my bikini's flaws under a shirt...if I lived in the UK, I'd probably return this, but I live in the US and I'm going on vacation soon, so I'm left wondering if this is something that I can live with.

    ETA: This was maybe my fourth purchase of a bra that was somewhat actually near my size. I think it just wasn't the right shape for my tricky postpartum body. But it wore well, it still looks beautiful, and I wasn't afraid of any wardrobe malfunctions.

    Used to fit

    This is a weird one.
    I think I'd be a 34HH/J in this style (as my larger boob is slightly spilling, but no entirely enough to need *need* a cup bigger).
    The band is quite firm, which is nice - despite being so thin at the clasp, it's extra wide under the arm with the boning, and thus still quite quite supportive.
    So I'd advice going with your upper band size, and a go down a cup.

    But the cups are dissappointing. They are so stretchy, they really felt like they couldn't possibly do any work. If I tried to tighten the straps, the straps just stretched too, and just stretched them cup longer, instead of actually doing something about the fit.

    I also feel like I didn't really 'get' the ruffles. They seemed sort of silly and in the way too me.
