    The bra is great, but the back band is SUPER tight. I usually wear a size 28FF in Curvy Kate, so I expected this to be fine. This bra was painful as soon as I put it on (which I was barely able to do), so I used bra back extenders to make it bearable (I made them myself out of old bras) and I also put pieces of a cut up maxi pad along the wires to reduce pain when I wore it to prom in late May. Now, I wear it without the extenders (one broke) and it is a huge relief to take it off ... at the end of the day. It still hurts all day, but it's the only strapless bra I have. I'm left with sore red marks, and maybe even a few cuts (there was no bleeding, but I have little dots around where the outer edge of the underwire sits). The best part about this bra is the way it looks, it fits pretty well in the cup despite my closely placed breasts. Other than the fit issue, I'm a fan of this bra.

    its quite comfortable, i would have given it an excellent on the comfort except the detachable straps arent extremely comfortable. good quality. good fit but a bit shallow. overall i really liked it especially as i have such big boobs it holds everything in place more or less. what im saying is i can run up and down the stairs without my boobs hitting me in the face. it has boning in the actually cup but you cant notice it i think its really bendy plastic or something but you can see it a bit if youre wearing a top that is really thin or tights stretchy material. other than that its quite nice and probably going to be my go to bra

    Fits

    This one is pure perfection.

    I got it via ebay (brand new and also a bargain, so I feel very proud about myself!) and it was an excellent choice. I haven´t got any strapless bra since - ever, I guess? I never thought it would be possible to have something supportive enough. The 32FF - Freya » Deco Strapless (4233) I own didn´t give any support without the straps, so I don´t really think of it as a strapless, and it was a shape mismatch anyway, I´m afraid.

    So... Where to begin?

    The colour is called "biscotti"- which means it´s skin friendly for me as a Caucasian.

    It ... gives a very interesting shape, not similar to any other bra I own. Slightly projected and yet somehow minimizing. It works well for my narrow, projected, slightly full on top, close set breasts. I chose to wear a 30-inch band, because the silicone on the band would otherwise hurt my sensitive skin. And it was still very supportive.

    I spent my wedding day in this beauty without the straps and it was supportive since 8AM to 4AM the next day https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> When I put it down, I had some red marks on my back, but this happens to me in any bra (even in those horrible 34/36 DDDs I do not wear anymore).

    The strips on the back of the bra are a bit visible under light fabric - but that is mostly OK, and my wedding dress with sheer fabric had some lace added to cover these. The tiny buttons and ribbon on the sternum are a very cute detail.

    I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone in similar size range searching for a strapless bra.

    I wrote a detailed review of this in the 30GG size; this is the same story, only with a too-large cup and (as such) even more comical gaping when the straps came off.

    This bra looks nice with the pinstripe pattern on the wings & the stripes in the cup - a great improvement in design compared to other strapless bras. I like the cup shape too which curves instead of cutting across the breast. The band is very small for a 32; I usually size down a band in strapless bras to a 30 but can't do it up. With this bra I will need to try a 34 band. I can't assess the cup fit yet until I find an extender.

    Band fit ok. Comfortable. Cups were drastically too small, so I can't comment on that. It seemed like the shape would work for me though, if I could find my right size.

    The bras cups lost there shape rather quickly and found that the straps were not well made and snapped while wearing

    This is a review for the Curvy Kate Dotty strapless, a brastop exclusive, which has the same model number as the Curvy Kate Luxe. I assume it is the same thing as the Luxe, just with a slightly different aesthetic – specifically, dotted rather than plain fabric on the cups, and plain rather than striped fabric on the gore and band.

    I wanted to try this bra because I have always heard the Luxe described as a projected strapless, something I need which is frustratingly hard to find. The verdict: it does indeed live up to the “projected strapless” label. Unfortunately, it also lives up to Curvy Kate’s reputation ... of being excessively full on top, and it has zero immediate projection. When I tried it on, the bra did have enough space at the apex (which however was nowhere near the apex of my breasts), but it slid down immediately after putting it on due to the shape mismatch. If you imagine the outline of a heart cut in half from top to bottom, the half-heart shape is almost what the shape of this bra looks like in profile. In other words, it comes up in a sharp vertical from the underwire, and then curves down to meet the top of the breast. There might be someone out there who needs this specific unusual shape, but I suspect people whom this bra fits are few and far between.

    I ordered it in 30DD because it was about half the price of my actual size of 28E, hoping the band would run small due to it’s being a strapless, but it turned out to be a true 30 and much too large. If anything the band was a bit on the stretchy side, not ideal for a strapless. Since the fit was unsalvageable, I didn’t bother reordering in the correct size.

    Hasn't set fit

    This was the only strapless bra that Bravissimo could sell me that was even vaguely wearable; I bought it when I mainly bought 38FFs from them. It makes my breasts look awful by itself, but is serviceable under clothing. I bought it to wear under a stiff strapless dress, and it does a good job for that purpose.
    Edit: I have narrow roots and projected breasts; Curvy Kate and I don't get along.
