    36FF

    Fits

This seems to be one of the bras Cuvy Kate decided to make deeper and narrower (yay for me).
Wires are really narrow for a curvy Kate (similar to comexim) but this is the only 36FF I've tried, all others are 32/34 G+
Band is a little loose because I sister sized up to get it cheap but it's comfortable and I can take it in later.
Gore could be a bit shorter but it's not uncomfortable, I'm just too close set.
Slightly pointed cups, doesn't bother me and will certainly soften with washing but if you like snow globe boobs (nothing wrong with that!) keep that in mind. ...
Peachy gold color is beautiful next to the ivory. Not a huge fan of the swirly design but it could be worse

Wide-ish straps and great 3 hook closure.

EDIT: observations after wearing this a few times (bought a second since it was dirt cheap):
Band is definitely too big. I wear it on the tightest hook and it's stretchy. I don't think it's riding up but I'm very aware of how it feels throughout the day. I don't feel locked and loaded like in my other bras. But I'm a 32/34 so I expected it to be big and plan to take it in. I'd say it's probably a stretchy true-to-size band. If you like them tight maybe consider sizing down.
Wings itch/irritate me by the wire tips. I think the cup is a smidge wide but that it's mostly caused by the fabric and my ridiculously delicate skin, exacerbated by this frigid winter. (It's warmer in Alaska than Michigan right now!)
Straps are way too stretchy for this size range. I know only like 10-20% of the support should come from the straps, but that's still some pretty heavy lifting and they just aren't up to it. Luckily the strapping I bought for my double has minimal stretch.
I think I could benefit from taking in the gore, both because I'm close set and to change the shape of the bra a little, bringing the cups more front and center. The top of the gore already has wires touching so it would just be 1/2"-1" or so at the bottom of the gore. This will also help the band issue.

LOL Snow globe boobs? That doesn't seem pointy to me. What are snow globe boobs. LOL

    • 2

I think she means its a more pointy profile, so if you like really round (like snow globe), it might not be the bra for you.

My problem is the pointiness isnt . . . in the right place for me. I wish you had pictures! I like the fit of mine, but feel like it makes my boobs look deformed. Really great projection and lift, though.

    • sorry dbmamaz I misunderstood. I was reading too fast, thought she meant that it looked like snow globes. :)

    • 4

I'll add pictures soon. It takes forever on my phone. Also, this bra is going to be a sacrifice. Since it was so cheap I'm going to take it apart, taking pictures of each step, make a pattern, sew it back together, and make a new bra from the pattern. I've already ordered supplies :)

    • 2

And yeah, I meant it's not going to give you really round boobs like snow globes.

    • 1

Taking pictures of each step sounds lovely! :)
      Thank you Yourlovealive

    • 2

Nayanya it may take me a little while but eventually I'm going to compile them all into an album and write a little thing to go with it so everyone else can dismantle and make their own bras too (assuming you find a "good-enough" fit first). I'll let you know when it's all complete

    • 2

So you are going to make a bra with the same shape but different fabric? Interesting! I think the shape would not be as bad if the fabric wasnt so thick. (i also think mine might be a smidge big)

    • 2

dbmamaz This go around I'm using pretty similar fabric. I have poly laminate foam for the cup, and powernet coming in the mail. I haven't decided which fabric to use for the outer cup, but I'm thinking silk (or another non-cotton natural fiber) since I want to dye this puppy red without messing around with poly dyes. I'm not too worried if the foam lining doesn't dye, it'll be on the inside and probably come out pink at the very least

    • 1

<3 that idea! That sounds so fun Yourlovealive

    • 1

I like the shape of that bra and it's pretty. Very projected and round.

    • 1

Wow, it looks much better on you than on me! I really wonder if mines slightly too big so I dont stretch the fabric out enough to make it tight, so it kinda folds. I'm the 32JJ pictures

    • dbmamaz it's possible. Amazon doesn't have any 32Js in this bra but they've got a 30JJ for $14.40, would that be much too small in the band with an extender maybe?

    • I have the 32JJ and I"m not going to buy another . . . I had first ordered the K because the measurements seemed off and that was WAY too small. But hubby is a bit over me buying bras . . . honestly, I'm kinda over it too for now. Next purchase is probably white floral Floris in June for my b-day

    • I understand.

    • Did you get anywhere on making copies of this bra? I'm wearing it today, and finally recognizing that its really too wide for me, with not enough depth at the gore for me and way too much empty space under my arms. It seems funny that it took me so long to recognize what was wrong!

    • 1

I have the bra dismantled and a pattern made and a few pieces cut but I ordered the wrong fabric for the band so I had to wait on samples to make sure I picked the right one for the next order and now I have to wait for payday to order more. I was hoping to have it ready for v-day but will be glad if it's done by end of march for my birthday

    • 2

Also, funny thing, I'm wearing mine today too! Ordered a second since it was $14.

Deep narrow cups, good for projection, not too heavily padded, cups open at top. Front and centre shape. A cupsize too small for me. Can pass for a 28E.

the 28FF was too tight in the band and big in the cups, but I am looking forward to trying the 30E. It was padded nicely, with a nice overlay design and color

This bra and my boobs don't have much in common. Maybe it's too wide for me, or maybe the cups are too large or shaped differently than my boobs. It doesn't feel too big, but the wrinkling on the cups says otherwise.

As soon as I saw Lola in person, I knew she wasn't going to work for me. The wires are nice and narrow, but the apex of the cup is very high up, where the black cup meets the trim. This might work for someone full on top, but it didn't work for my projected full on bottom breasts. The band is VERY firm. This bra would easily work for someone who is a 26. The straps are a bit wide on my frame and the gore is a bit wide for my close together breasts. Lola, because of the high apex, creates a very retro shape that I don't care for. The cups are pointy even unfilled. The design is cute though and if you are more compatible with the shape this could be a great bra for you.

I really wanted to love this bra -actually I always feel that way with Curvy Kate and it never works out for us. The band is a bit loose but not so much that I couldn't wear it. The cups are too large for me though, with a lot of empty space at the top and with the padding the combo looks more unnatural than it should under clothes. The seams don't show badly under clothes which is great and the design is pretty. The shape is relatively natural, lifted of course, not pointy but not the overly rounded shape that some padded bras give. The material is very soft as well

the band on this bra fit comfortably but the cups were way too large - much larger than any other 30D bra I've tried/own. Maybe this brand just runs large. I bought the bra online and ended up returning it.

    • You might find that the Curvy Kate Desire is a better fit for you. Most Curvy Kate styles run true to size in the cup, but most styles are for people who are either projected and VFOT or shallow/average projection and VFOT. The Curvy Kate Desire is great for shallow, neither FOT nor FOB, and it runs 1 cup size small. You might find that 30DD or 30D is great.

    • thank you for the tip! I'm just starting to order bras in my true size after 25 years of wearing VS & Wal-Mart bras, so I'm still learning which brands/models fit the best. I am shallow breasted with a wider root. So it does sound like most Curvy Kate's are just not made for my shape.

    • 1

hethas1 I am also shallow breasted with a wider root. Most Curvy Kates don't fit me but the Desire and the Soda Pop fit me very well. I recommend both styles.

In love! This bra does give me a really projected and slightly weird shape, the outer fabric bunches up slightly at the top, and I fold the fabric inside over a little (something I seem to do in all padded styles) but overall, it's an extremely comfortable bra that I don't half fall out of. I think the cup may be a little too stiff in certain places which is why I get a slightly weird shape in it (not enough give around bottom or sides probably which makes me bulge more on top than usual) but overall, I love wearing it. It's definitely more comfortable than the 30K and the cups fit much better.

So, this is a very strange bra.

I normally wear a 32J but have this in a 32JJ. The band is a fine size - after a few wears I have to tighten to the middle hooks. The cups . . . I think they fit, but the shape is just very strange.

I feel like I have great projection in this bra. When I feel underneath my bra, there is this great feel of lots of tissue held up - which I love. The gore is lower than most of mine, so I actually get a bit of cleavage in this bra and ... could theoretically wear it under low-cut shirts

Right now it is winter, and I'm liking the warmth of the padding and liking the fact that I can wear this under 2 layers of thick warmth . . . because that way you cant quite see how weird the shape is. But come summer I suspect this bra will languish in my drawers.

The shape is squared-off from one angle and pointy from another. The texture of the top-half is unpleasant (tho I think it looks nice). I cant help but think that, if I were wearing this bra under a t-shirt, random people would ask me what is wrong with my boobs - because it looks like . .. idk, not human. Angular and bizarre shape.

    • This bra did not ever really break in enough to fit me better, and I think I finally realized why - its too wide for me (still) and I'm too center-heavy for it, so my boobs want to escape in the center and I have empty space under my armpits. If my boobs were wider set or just wider, I think it would fit me much better.

    • Wore it again - its a warm day in April - and it just seems to be a bra I cant wear for more than 8 hours max. The lace at the wires just digs in and really hurts me.

Hubby also mentioned that my breasts look further apart in this bra - meaning east-west, I guess - which is not the look I'm going for, since my boobs ARE wider than my body, I'd rather not exaggerate that! I suspect I will give this one away some time, once I have enough bras that really work for me.

He didnt notice the weird angular shape, though.

    • and . .. gained a cup size. this bra at least fits better now. a lot better. still fall towards the center a bit and have a bit empty on the outside, but i'm glad to at least have something that fits
