Overall I found this bra super comfortable. The fabric is really beautiful and light. It looks and feels high quality. The cup is unlined but I haven't had any issues with my nipples being visible. The cups are a 3-piece construction. The bottom of the cup fits me really well, but the top strip I find a little too tight, and flattens/quads my breast tissue slightly. I find this problem a lot with bras with this 3-piece construction where the cup is divided into two pieces on the bottom but has the third piece as a strip on the top. I am slightly full on top and centre.
I bought my Conturelle bra at a bra boutique. It was a store return, I think, because it didn't have a Conturelle tag, so I have no idea what model it is and the sewn-in label doesn't give a clear indication of the model name/number.
It's a nude bra that has something like vines embroidered on the lace/mesh top of the cup. The bottom of the cup is mesh, but it's a thick mesh or doubled up mesh. It's very soft. The bra is fairly comfortable except that I am straddling a 38-40 in band and so the band is just a bit too loose because the back ...of the bra doesn't stay when I position it toward my waist. My breasts fit in the bra almost perfectly except the gore doesn't tack, but most gores don't tack on me because my breasts are too close together.
This was an expensive bra, though not quite as expensive as Prima Donna. But the saleswoman did say it was on sale. Overall, I think it is well-made and it's a nice, nude bra. I like it, but don't love it the way I love my Prima Donna "Couture" bra. That bra is one of the best bras I've ever owned. Read more 99 more words
This is a very beautiful bra. 3-part cup with flower lace on the transparent top and swirls on the semi-transparent bottom. It is a very, very beautiful bra with a look I love, elegant, sexy and chic.
I bought several 34C bras strongly discounted when I found this size was a major improvement over the 34B and 36A which I was wearing before.
Unfortunately, now that I know better I see that the band is too big and the cups cut me on the top center of my breasts. The cups are quite roomy for a 34C, pretty much on the projected/almost pointy side of the shallow/projected spectrum.
When viewed from the top it fits me beautifully. However, from the front and sides it clearly distorts my shape due to cutting (quadboobing).
I will check if 2 relatives of mine with smaller boobs want them. Otherwise they will all go for sale.
This is a very beautiful bra. 3-part cup with flower lace on the transparent top and swirls on the semi-transparent bottom. When it was tighter and it more or less fit me, it gave a semi-pointed (similar to how I see the Andorra fitting other people) uplifted shape.
I bought 3 of them (Ivory, white and navy blue) in 34C when I started checking bra sizes different than 34B and 36B which fit me horribly and it was a huge progress. For some reason, the 3 bras have quite different measurements. My size changed, and I learned I prefer smaller bands.
I am going to try to (massively, but in a reversible way) alter the oldest one of the 3 as this is a very, very beautiful bra with a look I love. If it works, I'll keep it, otherwise I'll undo the alterations and give it to a family member who wears 34C.
It's a beautiful black bra with lace sheer at the top part of the cup but extra lining at the bottom. It has side support. The bra creaks when putting it on but I have not noticed it doing so once adjusted for wear. It stays in place well and the back doesn't ride up. It could be bigger for me, but if I don't swoop and scoop and instead lean and jiggle, it fits tacking the gore and there is no over fill. Granted, that's not the best fit, but it was one of the first ones I bought and was fitted for before I ...learned all the nuances to bra trying. I imagine, as time goes on, I will be able to get better fits, but it's light and cool on hot days, the fabric is wonderful and it's a zillion times better than what I have worn for nearly 50 years. I like best that it's sides are lower than my Elomi bras by about 1.5 inches so it makes it very comfortable. It's one of my favorites, despite the less than best fit because the under wires and side don't come up so high. Read more 95 more words
It's different than any other bra I own - but it fits. It's very comfortable and the fabric is quite luxe (even as this can be worn easily as a basic). The band is tight for size (so I sized up to a 34). The cups don't have as much immediate projection as I require but it's fun to depart from the style norm occasionally. The Anthrazit colourway is beautiful and the matching undies are spectacular - best thing about the set. They fit awesomely and in a very retro style.
I can't tell the model of this bra from the tag. It seems to be an older version of the Felina Conturelle Provence. At first try it feels ok, full coverage underwire with good support, straps are nice and wide. It has pretty embroidery and transparent lace top cup, shows my nipples through. The wires I think are slightly too large/wide for me as I feel them under my arms and it bothers me. The band is also too big on the tightest hook. Also a slight spillage at top of cup. After wearing for a short period of time, the wires under and between the breasts are VERY uncomfortable, scratchy and digging in. I like the uplifted look it gives me, but I cannot wear this bra for more than an hour, probably because it is the wrong size.
sorry this review is so late, I received this bra for free and intended on measuring/reviewing it long ago but got caught up in doing two thesis back to back in college. THAT said, I want to definitively say, especially after all of that time, that this is one of the most comfortable and perfectly fitting bras I own. which is funny because I have never heard of this brand before. I am more bottom heavy, and a little shallow, so this most likely would not work on someone with very full-on-top breasts, but the top ridge is quite elastic so it MIGHT. the top line of this ...bra lands DIRECTLY on my skin, almost like it was made to land there. it doesn't cut in at all, and doesn't leave any type of ridge or indention/quadraboob in that area. my only measurement complaint is that the band stretches A LOT. it seems to ride up a little in the back, but I might take it in eventually (the band easily stretches beyond 35 inches and this is a size 32E) it's extremely comfortable though, even after a few hours of wear. all in all a great find, especially for free! I will post images soon! Read more 98 more words
Very comfortable and very expensive. The bra has tons of really nice details and features. The material is very stretchy and encasing in a good way. This bra provides all day comfort. The seaming is very flat and may only show through a very thin t-shirt. There is a thin strip of elastic at the top of cups to assist fit for both sides.
I have it during a clearance. I wanted a bra in 46D but not black or white. So I found it in purple with -50% on the price. I don't hesitate and i'm really happy. It's gorgeous, it's confortable, it's the perfect bra.
Found this at a thrift store brand-new. I'd never heard of the bra, but it said Made in Hungary and was bigger than a C so I had to try it. It's really nice. I like the cut-out in the centre gore. There's mesh inside the cup and an extra folded layer near the outer half of the inside of the cup.
Embroidery for the upper half as well as part of the strap. The name is on the right hand side as well near the top of the band.
Band is quite stretchy. might be best to order band size one down. fits well and is very, very comfortable, but i should have gone up by one cup size as the top of the gore is not exactly flush to my sternum, (off by about 1/3"). nice balcony shape with excellent support and lovely lace detailing with intricate embroidery. one could easily, (and i have), sleep in this bra. i highly recommend this bra.
