It's even prettier alive! The plunge cut proved, one again, to be perfect for narrow roots and projection!
I asked for the straps to be moved in 2 cm (0,8 inches!), to reduce armpit shafting!

    Fits

This is my first purchase through Bratabase (yay) and my first Polish bra. I'm waiting for an order from Comexim and an Anna Pardal via Sophisticated Pair.

The bra is gorgeous and unusual - gray-silver-taupe lace over a subtle peach base that is almost a nude for me. It gives a beautiful boobs-forward, cakes on a plate effect. It is a plunging style, but not as low as, for example, Freya Deco. This band is quite soft (and comfortable) and thus not especially supportive for the long haul. Were I to buy new, I would size down (I typically wear 32G in most bras, more like 30GG in Freya). Finally, the bra + band, for me, is not 'motion reducing'. There is a considerable bounce, which I am certain will be entertaining to onlookers, but it makes the bra not work-friendly for me. Maybe save for shorter evenings out and times when I know I will be sashaying and strolling and not moving quickly!

I think bras with less coverage on top or stretchy coverage on top seem to bounce more, but i'm not quite sure yet

    • 1

Well, a 75HH Comexim translates to roughly a 34G UK, but Comexim cups are scaled up 2 cm per cup rather than UK's 1". So, you're in a band and probably 1/2-3/4 cup size larger than typical. So, I can understand why it bounces, the whole thing is probably a little loose. But agreed, Sonia is a gorgeous bra.

    • 1

lcl0706, thanks for the sizing translation. This is my first Comexim, and Erica at Sophisticated Pair helped me (via email) try to guess at my best size. But I am definitely in that Polish bras + guesswork + hope = eventually ending up in the right bra and size stage of things! Also, my go-to bra for the past 5 years has been the Fantasie 4510 molded tee shirt bra. Nothing moves in that bra, and I know I am unused to other styles and feelings!

    • 1

If you retry Comexim, I'd say stay in a 32 band, so a 70 band, and try a HH which would be one cup volume down. You'd probably have better luck in a 70HH/32G, and if that feels a bit small due to the whole 2cm vs 1" cup scaling, you can try the band down but retain the cup volume by trying a 70J/32GG.

    • Thanks! I am 98% certain that's what we ended up with for the Anna Pardal bra I'm waiting for. And with Comexim I have two 70G and a 70HH...hmmm (why did I do -that-!?).

    • Bra fitting is evidently a science. No wonder it has been a roll of the dice for me.

    Didn't fit

I did it!! This is the first bra I have that FITS!! (But Bratabase won’t let me mark it that way).

Without the straps drawn in toward my neck, every fit parameter is PERFECT. Literally like it was shaped custom for my body!! The straps are easy to adjust and thick, the lace and color is GORGEOUS, and fabric is breathable and stylish. But, I enter my fit data based on how the straps are when drawn in toward my neck (how they’d be if they were multiway).

With the straps drawn in, the wings cut into my armpits by being too tall, though the wire doesn’t bother me ... in the slightest. If the fabric softened up enough, that issue might resolve itself. Potentially, styles that aren’t as lacy might not have this issue at all. Maybe even trying half-cups would be a good idea, since they’d come up less high. The gore also becomes a little too short and a little too narrow, though as you can see from the pictures, it has a partially overlapping gore, so perhaps one without this feature will be perfect. Additionally, the band becomes slightly too tight and the lace itches a tad in the back, but I think this is merely a function of it being a lacy bra, and therefore having less stretch than a non-lace bra.

All that being said, it still isn’t comfortable enough for everyday wear in the condition it’s in. Without being able to multiway, it’ll eventually kill my bad shoulder, and I am way too scared of that alteration to attempt it myself (and have no idea where I could take it to have that done). For now, my project will be keeping my ear to the ground to find someone who can convert the straps. Even in the mean time though, I think this could be a great stepping stone for me in terms of finding a bra that does fit and is comfortable enough for everyday wear.

    Hasn't set fit

What a beautiful bra! Fits like a dream.

The band is tight, but fits somewhere between a British (like Cleo) band 28 and 30. This band seems closer to TTS than my Comexim Beauty Plunge in 65J---I have to wear an extender because that band is too tight. So, I'm not sure where to go on my next Comexim order as far as band size.

The cups are wonderfully narrow and allows for inner fullness. Somehow, this bra works great under tees and light-colored tops, almost like a neutral. Much prettier than any beige bra though. Fits me much better than a similar-sized Anna Pardal. ... I don't fall into the middle like I do with her plunges.

I ordered this from Zathiya and it only has 2 hooks. I also have a Comexim Beauty Plunge in 65J that I ordered from Braobsessed. The Beauty has 3 hooks. I prefer the 3 hooks. Not sure why this one only has 2 and I don't have enough Comexims to know which version is standard.

For reference, these days I'm also fitting into: EM 65GG S-styles, 28GG Freya Decos, 28GG Cleo Marcie and 30GG Panache Jasmine. I'm narrow, projected with even fullness and short roots.

    Didn't fit

This is my first Comexim bra and I sister sized to a 75F(34:6) rather than an 70G(327) which is supposed to fit a 32F(UK). The measured bands seemed to run tight, and I'm glad I did. When I measured the stretched band it ran just under 32" before the wire started to bend as well. It's narrow enough and fits really well. The peach and pale grey color works well with my fair skin and I'm able to wear it under light/white shirts without the color showing through. The only thing is that there's a bit of space between my root and the top of the cup where ... the cup meets the strap, but it's so negligible and doesn't cause wrinkling or discomfort. This happens to me with most plunges since I have fairly short roots. For this reason, I wouldn't be able to wear it as a strapless. I think I might try a half cup from Comexim next time.

Edit: After wearing the bra a few times, I realized it doesn't offer as much projection as I need and the wires keep getting pushed out of my IMF. The height of the cup also bothers me after a while. I'll definitely try their half cups since I hear they have more projection and will work better with my short roots.

    65G

    Didn't fit

I was looking forward to this bra for so long and I finally pick it up from the post office today after missing the delivery on Saturday. I rush home to try it on, I get it out of the box and it's beautiful. I got to try it on and it doesn't fit, the band runs a size small and due to a bit of growth the the cups are too small, 65G has always been a bit on the edge of fit for me, and I was worried about this since some of my other Comexims weren't fitting right anymore, but the Sonia is ... worse than any of those on me. I did get the straps moved in 2cm on this although due to the it not fitting well at all and having a ton of quad I can't judge if I like that or not, I also got it with 3 hooks instead of the usual 2. In addition to the bra not fitting I got matching panties and I ordered the wrong size having forgotten I need a medium in Comexim panties and not a small. I will most likely be listing both the bra and panties, If the band was more TTS I might hold on to it for bit and see if I go back down in size.

I did also order a Basic and it seems to be an okay fit I got a 65H with reduced cups, trying it out for a bit to see if it will work.

Update: I swapped a bra and got a Sonia half cup in 75G, the band runs small and fits like a small 70 which works pretty well since I'm between a 65/70. The 3 part half cup works really well for me as well. Since I hadn't sold the panties, once I knew I was getting another Sonia I decided to hang on to them. They are a bit on the small side, but aren't uncomfortable. I did place another Comexim order and added a pair of medium panties which I think will fit better.

    • I already have the bra & don't know what you'd want for just the undies but I may be interested in them, depending on how they'd fit where the elastic hits at the top. Most of my hip measurement comes from my butt, which isn't an issue in a thong. I wear a 36 in Ewa undies.

    • I've never tried any Ewa undies, but I'm between a small and medium in most underwear I'm about 31 inches at the hip bone and these fit but dig in a bit too much they measure 12" not stretched and easily stretched to just under 15". If you think that will work for you how does $12 with free shipping sound?

    • That's a great price but unfortunately I think they'll be too small :-( I'm 33" at my hip bone & if they dig in on you I know they'll dig in on me. Dang it!!

    • If you're US-based, how long was the wait time from the shipment date?

    • I think after it shipped it was maybe a couple weeks.

    I LOVE this bra!

Admittedly it is not perfect, but its very cute and the closest to a good fit I've had in a very long time, so I'm definitely going to keep it! I really just purchased this bra to serve as a jumping off point for ordering customized ones straight from Comexim (this one was from Zathiya Lingerie so I would have an easier time returning it if it wasn't close enough to want to keep).

The band fits well, so I have no complaints there. It was nice to see that there were 4 columns of hooks rather than the 3 that tend to be on many ... bras.

The gore tacks, but it is lower than I'd like which causes it to be a little bit pokey. The next Comexim bra I buy, I will definitely ask for a raised gore height.

The cup fit is definitely the biggest draw to this bra for me. The first thing I'll draw attention to are the underwires. They are narrower than any other bra I've tried, which is perfect for me because I have pretty narrow roots. It also has a good projection, and I don't have any spillage in the center. The only minor cup complaint is that there is a little bit of extra space at the top of the cup near the strap (I seem to have this issue quite often). I was able to get rid of this almost completely by tightening the straps up a bit more than I usually do, and it's not something you notice under a shirt. I plan to have the cup height reduced and the straps moved in on the next one I order, which should hopefully help.

Overall, the only little complaints I have are that the gore pokes me a bit and the part of the cup near the strap is a bit looser than I'd like (and the straps are maybe set a bit wider than I'd like). These are things I can definitely live with and its a HUUUGE improvement from most of the other bras I've tried.

Glad to hear you've found a bra that nearly fits you perfectly! I just got the same bra (70N - Comexim » Sonia Plunge) with all of the alterations that you wanted to get (reduced cup height, higher gore, straps moved in 2cm, and stronger wires, plus I got cookie pockets as well). I've had the regular Comexim cut before without alterations, and it is night and day how different they fit!

If you order a Comexim bra with alterations, I'd suggest sizing up to 70N because the alterations can make the cup depth a little smaller compared to one without alterations.

Congrats and good luck on your next one!

    • Okay! Thanks for the advice BumbleBean!

    • Actually I just looked and they are up if you search the bra (though I tried to fix the color a bit in the link I just put up)

    • Wonderful!! :-)

    • Thanks. That doesnt look near big enough.

    • 1

kermitdafrog21 Be sure to measure your bra and compare it to mine. 70N - Comexim » Sonia Plunge That'll help verify whether or not you would need to go up a cup with alterations. Also, just FYI, Sonia has an unusually stretchy band. I wear 32 bands in UK bras, and 70 or 75 bands in Ewa Michalak. Jaimie at Bra Obsessed suggested I get a 65 (30!) band in Sonia because it's so stretchy. I decided to get a 70 (32) just in case, but I still would have been comfortable had I gotten the 65 (30). Most other Comexim styles I will order a 75 (34).

dbmamaz I don't want to hijack this review by getting off topic, but It looks too small for your boobs because it's not your size. Many need to go up 1-2 cups from their UK size in Comexim just like padded Ewa Michalak bras. The 70N (UK 32JJ) I just got is a bit too small for me, so I would do best in 70O (or 75N in styles that aren't as stretchy). That equates to 32K or 34JJ, which is the same size I need in Ewa's padded bras right now....which is the same size you are currently wearing, if I remember correctly.

I don't know if my pics have been approved yet, so I'll give you this link: http://imgur.com/a/XhzZN
All of those pics were taken yesterday. I know you have a 32HH Marcie and a 75J Ewa S bra, so I included them with a pic of the 70N Comexim to compare. I am quadding in all of those bras, so hopefully that helps with frame of reference. Also, someone in the Facebook group posted a 32KK (UK size) Anna Pardal today if you need to see an even larger Comexim.

Sorry for all of this off-topic conversation, kermitdafrog21! :(

Regarding approved pics. You can share your links to pictures as soon as you upload them, approving them does not change their availability. Only rejected pictures disappear.

The reason kermitdafrog21's pics don't show here is because she show not to display her photos next to her bra. So her pictures remain unlinked here. Although you can always see all the pictures uploaded for this Comexim Sonia Plunge in 70M here http://www.bratabase.com/browse/comexim/sonia-plunge/70M/pictures/

You can still share the links of your uploaded pictures or you could share the links of your bras that will include the pictures and all the other data.

BumbleBean in your case you can share links like these http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dicbp/pictures/ for all your pictures and the notes for your bra or the bra link http://www.bratabase.com/bra/dicbp/ which is available under "Share" when you go to see your bra from "My bras"

    • Thanks BumbleBean !

    • Bumblebean, is your comexim customized in any way?

    • 1

      dbmamaz Yes, with:
      *Reduced cup height
      *Higher gore
      *Straps moved in 2 cm
      *Stronger wires
*Cookie pockets (does not come with pads though)

  8. I got this along with 65G - Comexim » Victoria Plunge Bra , and this one fits much better. The band is looser, fits me without an extender. There is minimal quad on the bigger side so thats not an issue at all. straps are nice and comfy, however id prefer narrower set for more comfort. Overal I really like this bra, however im still tempted to try it as a 3hc with few modifications : )

I love Sonia. The colors are so muted and fresh. The peachy background with grey lace overlay is very striking and elegant. The straps are a taupe shade that compliment the rest of the bra beautifully. There is a very pretty lace edging on the cups which matches the color the straps. The lace edging gives it a little extra detail to make an otherwise 'neutral' colored bra anything but ordinary. It would look beautiful on any skin tone and is just one of those bras that is very complimentary to any woman. It has pretty peach colored bows on each strap and one at the gore, which ... also has a really pretty sliver charm sewn to it. It almost looks like a sun with the rays stretching out from the sparkly center rhinestone. This was one of my first Comexim purchases in a 60 band and it is very comfortable. I hate to have to part with it but I have found that I need a few alterations in order to make Comexim bras work for me. This bra is unaltered. It is brand new and never been worn, only tried on to assess the fit of a standard plunge.

    Didn't fit

First, a bit about my breast shape for reference: significantly narrow, FOB, projected, pendulous, significantly short roots, significantly center-heavy.

I can't tell if this bra is just a smidgen too large overall, or the cups are too tall. The band is significantly stretcher than I anticipated, certainly more so than a Ewa Michalak, and as such I think that I perhaps should have sister sized down. (My snug underbrush is 31" and I'm quite squishy, if that helps.) I can fasten it on the tightest hook comfortably, but the underwire tends to warp when I swoop-and-scoop on this setting. Perhaps I'm just over-scooping - as I said, ... I'm squishy. The cups come up high enough to conceal my pronounced Tail Of Spence, which is lovely, but there are empty pockets on both sides between the bottom of my Tail Of Spence and the top edge of my breast root that gets larger as the day goes on and I settle in to the bra. Thankfully, there is no visible gapping under shirts. As a bonus, however, I get a bit of cleavage (because this is a plunge style I believe and my breasts settle comfortably to the center) and the bra is colored such that it is totally invisible under my shirts.

It's the most comfortable bra I own at this point and is the closest I have to fitting so I will keep and continue wearing it, but it isn't The One for a shape like mine.
