After having great luck with Comexim bikini tops last year, I purchased this top because the polka dot pattern is just too cute. The pattern is a true white background with a dark navy blue dot. The inside of the cup is a thee part construction made with a soft white flexible cotton covered foam. The outer cup consists of bathing suit fabric in a two part cup. The lower cup has a larger dot print that is gathered and ruched near the center gore. The upper part is the cup is a smaller coordinating dot print, giving it some visual interest. The center gore, rocker and back ... band are made using the smaller dot print fabric. Now I will mention, in this top the lower rocker seems to be cut rather narrow. So the side seam, where the back band attaches to the rocker, sits at a wry strange angle causing the fabric to ripple due to uneven tension. The straps are elastic stretch with the small dot pattern with white hardware. The back clasp is one silver interlocking clip.

** Important notes: This band runs very very stretchy! I recommend sizing down in the band and up in the cup to get your typical Comexim fit. Since it’s a bathing suit and I’m not too worked up about trying to return it, it’s ok to me since I can just take the band in at the clip anyway.

    Bottoms in size Large:
These bottoms are a side tie style. The front and back have the smaller dot fabric while the side ties have a bigger dot print. The inside is lined with white bathing suit lining, including the gusset in the crotch. The elastic is evenly tensioned and doesn’t dig in or pinch my butt fat. I personally prefer the sides to be sewn together, as I have a little one and wouldn’t want my sides getting untied. I may stitch them together to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions. I feel these run a little big on me, but I think sizing down they would be too small. I may purchase a size medium to keep on hand if I lose any more weight.

  2. Moulin Rouge 3hc Longline

After my fail with the 65G - Ewa Michalak » Sm Czarna Mgiełka (481), I really wanted to get a sheer black bra that fits, so I custom-ordered this Moulin Rouge 3HC as I've had success with Comexim's unlined 3HC before. I also had it made in a long line as I've wanted to try one for a long time. I've also put in a request to have a narrow and overlapped gore.

My usual UK size is 28FF/G, and my shape is projected, FOT, narrow and tall roots, super close-set, soft and self-supporting.

I don't think I'll buy another long line bra again because I'm so clumsy ... and there are so many (5) hooks on this bra. The band feels snug even though it measures 29" stretched.

The cups are narrow, projected and open on top. My only minor complaint is that it's slightly too shallow near the centre, and with how close-set I am, the gore shifts to one side a little.

The bra is simple and sexy, and I'm pleased with the quality and fit. I kind of regret having it made in a long line because it could've been a great summer bra with the thin mesh but the longer band is going to make the heat feel worse.

It looks great on you! Do you find that the longline makes it feel more supportive than a regular bra, or is it about the same?

    • 2

Okay, I'm so curious about these longline bras! And I go back and forth with the bras I want to order - I'm like, should I request it longline and just regular? Lol. It's a tough call but I think I'm going to request a longline of a bra that I already have, so I can compare them.

I'm worried too about connecting the hooks in the back, it will take extra time, but also I'm wondering if it will give me better posture/back support.

I could just do posture exercises, but I thought a longline bra would make me stand up straight. Lol.

    • 1

ComeAtMe_Bra BraOdyssey I tried wearing the bra all day and can report back now! The band hugs my ribcage nicely, is supportive and prevents slouching but only in the mid-back. It doesn't really help with upper back/ shoulder posture. But it's comfortable and surprisingly does not feel too constricting in the summer heat.
Compared to a regular bra, the level of support and lift isn't really different. But it does feel more stable and moves less. Hope this is helpful!

  3. Beauty Half Cup (since 2015 Version) (355)

Yay finally received my Comexim and it’s fantastic. Another Comexim win! I ordered it directly from Comexim on April 3rd, they shipped it out on April 13th, and I received it on May 28th LOL. Looong wait could have something by to do with Canada post issues?

I looove this bra! It is beautiful, fits well, and is very comfortable. I wore it for a day while doing errands and other physical activities and nothing budged. I even forgot I was wearing it.

I ordered with straps moved in 1cm but no other alterations. The gore came overlapped, I’m guessing they do this with all orders now. The ... cups are wider and slightly more shallow than my other 3HC but still has decent immediate projection. The band is a bit too snug for me but I’m sure it will stretch a bit and it didn’t cause me any discomfort. The band is similar to the basic plunge but the front half is covered with eyelash lace. The cups are more firm than my other 3HC but still very light.

Holy super round shape! This bra brings everything centre and forward and uplifted for me. It gives me quite a bit of cleavage which is fine with me.

This cost 162 zloty which works out roughly to $53 Canadian. That includes all fees and shipping. Can’t go wrong with that price!

Overall I am very pleased with this bra and I need more Comexim 3HCs in my life haha

wow, looks great! I agree, the price is super reasonable for us Canadian gals, esp considering the other options that we have (Victoria's secret?), a.k.a., just matrix sizes.

someone just reviewed her comexim order on reddit and she said she got her bras in like 3 weeks in rural NE, U.S.A. https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/nnzuz0/first_comexim_order_review_four_styles_75f_long/ Meanwhile, me - in Western Canada - still waiting, lol. Not Comexim's fault though, so I don't blame them.

wow, that's amazing, only one small alteration (move in straps 1 cm) and you got a perfect fit. Sweet!

    • 1

Thanks BraOdyssey :) hey when did you place your order? Yeah I don’t think it’s comexims fault, probably something to do with the postal service. The last 3HC I asked for lowered cups but I really don’t need it (I’m not even sure if they did that alteration anyway lol)
      Good luck with yours!

    • 1

okay, I think it is total "Canada Post" issue b.c.: my last order of Comexim bras from the states took a long time, it was stuck (clearing customs, I believe?) at the Toronto airport clearing point for like a week, so...not exactly Comexim's fault at all.

I imagine I will probably get it this week? I'm not sure. I'm further west than you. So, I imagine it takes a little longer to get to me. Mine was shipped Apr 14.

    • 1

yeah, looks good. they have so many bras available in this style.

I don't know if you need to lower the cup at all, it looks good the way it is?

    • 2

This looks great on you! I LOVE Comexim! They just work for me.... I love the rounded shape they give, and (for me) the illusion that I have more upper fullness than I do. And yeah,... you can't go wrong with their pricing!

    • 1

plus, you can always get any bra made into this style, 3HC, even if it a padded plunge. non-returnable, but I wouldn't want to return to Poland anyways...

    • 2

Wilderness1 thanks! Girl, this totally gives me the illusion of having upper fullness, which I really don’t have. It’s magic!

    • 1

BraOdyssey yes I got the Dalia made as 3HC. It’s really cool that they’ll do this and for no extra cost :)

    • 1

Yay! So good to hear :)

    • 1

      Bxbra thank you :)

    • 1

margesimpson , I finally got my package from comexim today! will just have to sign for it at the post office tonight or tomorrow! So, it took about 6 weeks, twice as long as before. I guess just due to Canada Post.

    • 1

BraOdyssey yay so happy you got it! Literally one business day after I got mine. I hope it works out for you, fingers crossed

    • 1

So this fits better than my Dalia 3HC. I compared them and they did do shortened cups with the Dalia, which is a bit too short for me.

    • 1

margesimpson , interesting. I did read that it's hard to see sometimes if they did do the alterations, or not. so at least you know now...for next time!

    • 1

I love this style, but I would have to have it made in a plunge...

    • 1

BraOdyssey it looks like some folks have gotten the plunge version http://bra.pe/MEuf/

    • 1

margesimpson , ohhh, cool. yeah, I love the look of this bra, it's gorgeous.

    • 1

I noticed it has tags, so it must've been sold years ago as a plunge for a US retailer, like Wellfitting perhaps (they're not in business anymore).

    • 1

BraOdyssey I'm sure you can get comexim to make it though, just saying’ ;)

    • 2

It looks amazing on you. This was my first ever Comexim bra. I have 7 now and it is still my favourite, and strangely the only one I did not need depth added in.

    • 1

souxies thanks! That’s interesting it’s the only one where you didn’t need more depth. Dang, I was hoping comexim had another half cup that’s the same cut :/

    • 2

margesimpson I tried the mimi and hera after this one and found both way too shallow. I have no idea why the beauty just fits? some people find theirs shallow? Perhaps variations in making? I am quite projected ( 6 inch difference in standing and leaning ) very close set, centre full and full on top. If shape makes a difference?

    • 1

souxies it really does just fit! I’m FOB but also centre full and close set. Have you tried any comexim plunges?

    • 2

margesimpson Yes, I have a Piume Notte. Its pretty much spot on fit wise with no alterations. I just have a tiny strap gap on my less top full breast. Its a stunning, solid and quality bra. I am 5’1 though and like scoop neck tops ect which is why I prefer the 3hc cut. Although, under a high neck the Piume is amazing.

    • 2

Just to add, it creases a bit under my bigger breast but it washes out!

    • 2

souxies oh nice. The Plume Notte is gorgeous! If I ever figure out the plunge size/alterations for myself I would definitely get that one

    Didn't fit

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This bra is so adorable! I love the yellow (which I usually stay away from), and the little feathers. Again, just like my 60J - Comexim » Scottie 3hc , I decided to get a fun bra with a pattern for a change. I don't regret my decision to get this bra, but the band is way shorter than my Scottie (see pictures for comparison). I recently dropped from a 65 to a 60 band, but this one only fits with an extender. It also only has 3 x 2 sets of hooks, which I was ... dissapointed about, because the other two I ordered have 4 x 3 sets of hooks. The straps and gore bow are grey. The material is cottony on the inside and satiny on the outside. The padding is not bulky. The straps are a little wider than your typical straps, and they adjust long enough for my tall frame. I requested straps moved in 1cm and overalapping gore, and it looks to me like these alterations were done. I should also mention that I get 3HCs in a cup size larger compared to plunges.

I ordered the brazillian bottoms in a medium. My upper hips measure about 36.5", and my lower hips (where my bum is fullest) measures about 38.5". They fit perfectly and look great with the bra.

Overall excellent quality, with the exception of the band being short, excellent comfort, and beautiful appearance.

It looks gorgeous on you! Hopefully, the band will stretch out a bit.

    • It’s so cute! I’m actually pleased that the yellow is less vibrant. It means that I might be able to do it. I’m sure I would need a 70 in it based on the band.

    • 1

Thanks Sonya and Calluna . I'm curious to see if other people's yellow bird bands are also short, or if mine was just an accident. Can't wait unitl everyone starts getting their BF bras in!!!

    • 1

I have a parcel to pick up tomorrow, so I'm hoping it's my Comexim order.

    • Oh I got my fingers crossed for you!!!

    • Thanks!

    • 2

Oh that's gorgeous! I really hope the one I ordered fits me! I'm practically stalking my poor mailman hoping my order shows up soon!

    • This is super beautiful as well!! Lovely yellow print and great fit too. The matching bottoms are very nice as well.

    • 1

Thanks again braluv ! I usually don't get the bottoms, but I decided the splurge this time since it's harder to match this bra to standard underwear you buy in the store. I probably would have bought a couple pair, but I had never tried Comexim bottoms and wasn't sure if they were going to fit.

I currently own this bra in a 65J and a 70J. What I needed was the band of the 65J and the cup of the 70J, and here it is! This is exactly what I wanted. I feel contained and comfortable. I’d been favoring the 70J due to the cup, but if worn all day the backband just didn’t feel secure, despite fitting on the tightest hooks. With this 65K the backband is TTS with a 3x4 closure. The straps are well spaced and I don’t feel any armpit digging in. The wires are a smidge too wide, but not enough to declare it a fit issue. I love the fit and will be purchasing in black as soon as possible. Definitely a staple in my bra wardrobe.

I’ve had my eye on this for a while at Breakout Bras, and I’m so so glad I got it! The fabric is a lovely silky like stretch fabric. The fabric over the cups lays perfectly smooth. The pattern is a beautiful marble pattern consisting of various shades of steel, cool toned, grays and blush pink. There are small bows where the straps meet the cup as well as the center gore. The straps are a smooth steel gray color. The band is TTS and a nice firm 30 band. The back closure is the same steel gray color with 3x4 hooks. As soon as I put it on it was instant comfort. I know this will be a favorite as I wear a lot of gray tank tops in the summer. I purchased the matching panties in a size Medium. They are made of the same lovely silky smooth fabric. There is a nude cotton gusset in the crotch. It has two tiny bows on the top of the front seems.

    • 1

      Calluna Thank you. :)

Wilderness1 & Rosez3x5 I totally agree with you both. I think that’s why it took me so long to buy it. I liked the print, but didn’t love it till I got it in person. Even the lighting between my bathroom and the natural light photo I took of it close up look different. But you can definitely see more detail than the stock pics. But best of all, this is so comfortable right out of the box! I’m tempted to buy one more exactly like it.

  7. Scottie 3hc

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This bra is a 3HC (half cup with two vertical lines). I ordered this as a 60 band because my 65 bands were feeling too loose, and I'm glad I did. It feels perfect, and there are 4 x 3 sets of hooks to fasten it. The straps are nice and wide and they adjust long enough for my low set/tall frame. The pattern is super cute and playful, and I love having this bra because most of my bras have no pattern. The shape is typically rounded for a half cup, and I get just some slight ... quadding on my larger side after I scoop and swoop. This cup has a thin lining along the cups upper edge, which is good so there's no gaping along the cup edge. The material is cottony on the inside and outside, and the band is a bit stretchy. I gave it a fairly good pull to get my measurements, but it could have stretched further.... I just didn't want to distort the cups.I requested straps moved in 1cm, overlapping gore. The gore is not overlapped but it is quite narrow and still fits.

Overall excellent quality, excellent comfort (as always with Comexim bras), and excellent appearance.

    • Thanks, I love this bra! I think it'll get a ton of wear!

    • This looks so beautiful! The print is so nice too!

    • Thanks braluv !

    • Gaaah the Scottie looks amazing on ya! I need this in my life pronto. Interesting that you ordered this as a 3HC. I have just tried my first 3HC yesterday and it's an interesting fit. Definitely not like EM's CHP, which is very round and projected, while the 3HC is more minimized. I'm finding it a good shape alternative to Comexims's newer plunges which are more narrow and projected. I love all these styles, it's hard to pick a favorite. What's your favorite cut?

    • aogg EMs Chps never fit me right. There was always either gaping in the larger size, or headlights in the smaller size. I like the plunges, but I prefer the round look that I get from a 3HC (comexim). They are my favorite!

  8. Safiya (592)

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is one of the prettiest bras in existence. The intricate lace (and gore lacey detail), the colour (very representative of the actual colour in the photos I'm wearing it in) and the combination of the black and violet. Safiya is really a beautiful bra.

Add to that it's for some reason extremely comfortable and you have a winner.

I have 70J - Comexim » Bridget Half Cup (554) in this exact same size and yet it's really really different!

For one thing, the band is a lot tighter. Like, A LOT. It's a true 70 band, fits snug, but ... not too tight. For the way I like it I do have to put it on second hooks but that's okay! It's just cause I lost a lot in the underbust and now I'm neither a 30 nor a 32 and yeah. The band is good.

The cups are made of two parts, with one single vertical seam, and they seem pretty short. The top of them is finished with elastic but it's not too tight so I don't get a severe case of cutting into my tissue. The cups are larger. They have to be because they *almost* fit. Like, they are so close. Whereas in Bridget I had obvious quadding on my larger side and that was way before high tide. Safiya bubbles only slightly and I'm at my largest right now, and still it's barely noticeable really. I'm thinking beginning to mid cycle this bra will fit (I'll update with photos next week).
However, unlike Bridget, Safiya flattens me out a little bit. Which is fine, really, sometimes you wanna be flatenned. (I think? The minimising effect looks really nice under some shirts.) I think it might be because of the wide wires, but again, they are narrower than my Bridget.

I'm really confused about the band! Is it a case of vanity sizing for Breakout Bras? So odd.

The gore tacks perfectly (unlike Bridget where it was a soft tack). The lacey detailing on the gore is so so gorgeous.

The straps are wide set and are wide. They adjust long enough! I think I might even need to tighten them a little bit.

That all being said, I can't quite judge the lift in this bra. It's neither here nor there to me, not too lifting, but offers some support. I'm convinced that if it had a second vertical seam the support would be so so much better. But it is what it is.

I'm glad I forgot I ordered this and didn't change the size for my order. I think a 65L would fit, too. But this, I think, is good enough.

It is gorgeous and looks great on you brasaremean. :-D

There definitely appears to be a difference between BB Comexim and Comexim direct across multiple sizes in both band and cup, so it is not your imagination.

Glad this one works for you!!!

I can't wait till you get yours, I'm so curious how it changes with size!

Beautiful! It looks amazing on you, and the lace is so pretty. I'm definately torn about ordering during the sale! I figured this one might be minimizing too since my coco is (it's the same cut with one vertical seam). It doesn't look that minimizing on you though, but I'm sure you notice it. Glad it fits you.

    • 2

that is gorgeous! (and also reminded me of my coco, which i've outgrown)

dbmamaz if Coco was for sale I'd get it in a heartbeat! So beautiful.
Wilderness1 It is a little bit minimising for sure, but nothing extreme. I think I'd prefer a second seam to give it a little bit more shape at least but what can you do. The lace is amazing though, just beautiful.
      Sonya such a pretty bra!

I also didn't expect it to be such a vibrant dark violet! That was a very pleasant surprise as it's one of my fav colours!

the bra that inspired me to finally try ewa michalak was a similar color scheme: 70J - Ewa Michalak » Sm Fiolecik (642)

It's 7:15PM here though, and while I wouldn't imagine them to be that tuned into your connection device location, maybe it is?

    • Nope, full prices for me on that link as well! Cleared my cache, still full price. That's so weird.

    • 1

If it’s all weekend, you should still see the sale prices or at least be able to use a code. If it’s only for Friday and Saturday, it’s probably not Saturday over there anymore. So maybe that’s it. But I thought that it was was more than just the two days. Maybe try a different browser?

    • 1

Do you see the sale prices Calluna? I added the direct link above.

    • 1

Oh wait...are we talking Comexim direct or Breakout Bras? Clearly I need the food that’s cooking in front of me stat. 😂

    • 2

Conexim direct. When you click the link, do you see the sale prices?

    • 1

Okay....the main page still shows them *but* if I click on a specific bra, the sale data disappears. Go back to main page & it's still there...... I think I found a glitch in the matrix! :-D How weird!?!

    • I don’t see sale prices on the Comexim page.

    • I don’t see sale prices on the Comexim page.

    • 1

Yes, with your link I see it the way you do. Gah! I want hot chocolate soooo bad.

    • 1

It’s so beautiful! Definitely agree that it is minimizing, but some tops, minimizing is better. Love it!

    • 2

My comment was still unspent on my iPad...so it’s a bit out of place.

    • 2

      Unsent, iPad, UNSENT

    • 2

It's a torturous tease, isn't it? Someone forgot to update the main page post sale I guess. Really mean though, as it gives the illusion that the sale is still available.
I want Hot Chocolate too but at this size their plunge styles just don't work for me.

    • 2

Calluna You gotta love the auto correct features, haha!

    • 1

I’m not sure what size I would go with...65H or 65HH...or 65HH or 65J with reduced cup height? I kinda don’t want to try an alteration before I have tried the genuine article though...

    • 1

      I find I don't need alterations tbh.

    • 1

Definitely go with standard first, so you know what you need in that size. Comexim alterations are unreliable, so often it's a hit or miss that they are indeed done. If in doubt, go with the 65HH and request cookie pockets, so if it's too big you can just add cookie. It shouldn't change the cup any aside from an extra layer of thin cotton inside the cups.

    • 1

      You are so lucky brasaremean!

    • In general I'm wary of Comexim alterations, it seems no one is happy with them.

    • 1

When I went up from a 60O to their 60P then just moved the straps in, it was great. Then my boobs grew again and I experimented with the customizations to try an get a fit without quadding & without going up another cup. Failed, they just got wonkier.
Biggest issue is they ignore or change the requests but don't tell the customer they aren't getting the bras done as requested. I had them raise the gore twice when I requested it lowered, and had them raise the cup height with my last order which I requested lowered as well...... One change seems to be the safest limit, but still isn't a guarantee. :-/

    • 2

I ordered 3 bras during Comexim's sale a couple of weeks ago- Hot Chocolate, Amber, and Honey Cookie. They were shipped on the 17th. I requested them made into 3HC, cookie pockets added, reduced cup height and straps moved in. I so hope they work. I ordered them in a 60K. Fingers crossed.

    • 1

Sonya I've considered trying a reduced cup height alteration, but never have. I've requested reduced gore height a few times, which does lower the cup angle overall across the boobs, but I'm curious about the reduced cup height instead? Did you request them lowered a certain amount, or just ask for reduced cup height and leave it up to them? Have you gotten this alteration before... how does it affect fit? (like does it make the bra fit smaller?) How much do they lower the cup?

    • 1

MamaPagan Yes that's what it seems like, maybe due to language barrier, seamstresses just not feeling ok with doing alteration -- these bras are structured so they're supportive as they are, it is possible one small change would make them less than ideal. Most alterations either turn out bad, or they don't do them at all.
Moving straps shouldn't be a huge issue, neither does longer/shorter band, narrower/wider wires (at least from my completely non-professional assessment).
But reducing cups, adding more depth at the wire, changing the gore, etc etc, these all sound like they would drastically change the stability of the bra.

    • 2

I'm not Sonya but figured I'm share what I know. :-)

Comexim goes back and forth with whether or not they will reduce cup height on a half cup. (From what I've read not from personal experience.)

For their plunge styles, they will reduce more towards the strap, less towards the gore, so requesting 1cm reduced height will get you maybe a 1/2cm off near the gore, and 1.25cm off near the straps or so. You can request a specific amount but they will do what they feel is "best" regardless of your request & they won't inform you unless you complain or inquire after the order is received. (This I know from experience. )

I've ordered several standard then reduced height, the difference is only in height not cup overall. If you add moving the straps in, that lessens the strap to arm resistance which can effectively make the cup feel smaller.

As I stated above in the comments (somewhere), I have received bras with the opposite of what I've requested as well. The more customizations requested, the higher the risk of them not getting done, getting done incorrectly, and your bra getting wonky. :-/

    • Perhaps in order to do one alteration (for example reducing height) and still keep the bra functioning, they have to do another (such as raising the gore), and that's why the opposite of what you asked for. Bras work in mysterious ways!

    • 1

Dual typing brasaremean, sorry I didn't see your comment as I was typing mine. I agree! I am also no seamstress (as my many failed alteration attempts have proven haha) so I can't say from a professional standpoint either, but changing anything risks a failure for sure. Even moving the straps in too much can cause it to get wonky, but strap placement is also effected by which hookset you are using on the back as well, so there are unforeseen elements the seamstresses cannot account for. I get why they would err on the side of caution, I just wish they would give their clients a heads up if they can't or won't honor requests.

    • 1

Dual typing again, haha! Sorry brasaremean. When the opposite is done, I really think it is a miscommunication issue. With my last order (Beatrice) Anna and I went back and forth before the bras were made, and she said they could be done as requested without issue, so I think something got lost in the translation to the seamstresses.

    • 1

On a different note I caved and both Belle De Nuit unlined as well and seriously no more bras.

    • 1

Unlined? That should be gorgeous! I can't wait to see it!!!

    • 1

Yes it disappeared from the website a while ago but yesterday I was browsing soft bras and sure enough, there it was. It was what I originally wanted to purchase and the 15% off was still going so I told my manchild about it and of course, he enables my addiction, so one thing led to another, and yep, it's ordered.

    • Also can I just say I adore Comexim straps? Wish Ewa would use those on her bras instead of scallop-y ones.

    • 1

On sale, gotta buy! :-D I'm sure it will look great on you!

    • 1

I haven't paid much attention to the straps, aside from the strappy black Ewa S style one, as it's padded-as in the hole strap is padded and comfortable and perfect. The straps are better than the bra, haha!
I will now have to pull out my Comexims and compare the straps to Ewa's. :-)

    • 1

Wilderness1- I haven't requested reduced cup height before and I don't think I requested a specific amount for it to be shortened. My breasts are just so darn short (or at least functionally short) and my unaltered Comexim plunges in 60J or 55K always fit well but are much too tall. I'm hoping these altered 3HCs will have more immediate projection and much shorter cups.

    • 2

Wilderness1 I've requested them to reduce cup height 2cm before but they only did 1cm. I don't know how they pick what they will do.

    • Sonya I hope they are perfect and fit beautifully for you. :-)

    • 1

Sonya oh ok. When I asked for a shorter gore I didn't specify how much either, but they did for sure do that alteration for me each time. Have you tried their half cups before? I find their plunges much taller/bigger fitting than the half cups. Even with my short roots, the half cups are usually short enough in Comexim bras. I'm interested to see how yours turn out though, since I have such short roots too.
Thanks MamaPagan for the explanation as well. It's good to know how much they reduce cup height. Too bad the request isn't always honored.... I've ordered alterations to each bra from Comexim and they've always been done correctly to order. I've never once had any issues with Comexim alterations (reduced gore, overlapping wires, straps moved in, cookie pockets). I know many others have had problems with special requests. The only issue I've ever had with Comexim bras is inconsistency in band stretchiness, but I can comfortably wear a band from 27.5"-30" so it's never really been a big problem for me.

    • 1

      Thanks MamaPagan. :)
Wilderness1 I have tried their half cups in smaller sizes and the cups were not crazy tall but I'm worried that in a 60K, they will be too tall. The cups on my 60J Victoria are definitely too tall for me. I'm also wondering if I should have ordered 55 bands, but I figure if they don't fit, 60s are a lot easier to resell.

    • 1

Sonya I guess I could have looked at your profile before asking you if you'd tried them before, lol! Well I got my fingers crossed that they fit you perfectly. Can't wait for pictures and a review :)

    • 2

Wilderness1 & Sonya You can actually request the band to a specific length in CMs. While everyone's idea of max stretch varies, Anna will try to get it close. Just send an email letting her know your tight underbust and preferred stretched measurements in CMs and she can add it to your order notes. (Mentioning the flat band measurement that fits you best in their average bra wouldn't hurt either.) :-)

    • 1

Thanks, MamaPagan. That's good to know.

    • 1

Thanks, Wilderness1. I'm really excited to try them. I sooooo hope they work. And I love adding new bras to Bratabase. :)

    • 2

Wow. You did A LOT better of a job taking photo's of this bra than Comexim did. It is TO DIE FOR in your photos! I do wonder how well those seams will go under clothing. They appear to be very thick.
Comexim also have very flexible wires, so even the narrowest Comexim wire will be wider when worn (sometimes to the point of too wide) than when not worn. Many people find their very flexible wires to be the key to their comfort, I feel they need just bit more rigidity. Certainly not panache firm, but firm enough so they don't so easily distort.
If you consider getting an alteration from Comexim I think you would benefit the most from the "over lapping" gore alteration as it would bring you better front and center.
How comfortable/soft have these two non-padded Comexims been? I have found all my padded Comexim bras to just not be very soft with what seems like lower quality fabric to me. And I'm not even particularly sensitive, I just feel like they're very rough not soft fabrics (which seems to be contrary to what most people think). Can you compare how it feels to the Claudette Paramour?
I also think that the bands are much looser and cups smaller for Breakout Bra's because many customers were likely complaining about how firm the bands were, because well most the world just buys what VS tells them is their size, so they look for too loose bands and too small cups and if they order a bra that is not like that, they complain.

    • LeProfessor Actually the wires on Safiya are a lot firmer than Bridget, I actually took note of that but forgot to include it in my review. They're not Panache nor Ewa firm, but they are considerably firmer.

And yeh you can see it in my photos, the seams as well as edges are very visible under shirts (these are my two 'seam testing shirts' cause they are both very thin.

I can't really judge the lace because I haven't washed it yet, but as is it's a lot scratchier than the Paramour. But Paramour is satin and mesh, so it's hard to compare the two. I can tell you the lace doesn't feel cheap at all.

The bra is actually a lot deeper than what it looks like on their model. Not Ewa-projected but definitely not as shallow as it looks in their photos.

I haven't worn it yet aside from for the photos (mainly cause it's a national holiday here and I haven't left the house for 2 days lol) but I'm doing my braundry today and taking Safiya for a test drive tomorrow. Then I can talk more about comfort I think.

    • 1

brasaremean Braundry is my new favourite word!! :)) Compared to the Bridget, do you find the lace on the Safyia scratchier?
And MamaPagan you're absolutely right, brasaremean 's photos are gorgeous and totally sold the bra to me! I had seen it on the website before but I wasn't convinced.

    • Well ofcourse it is not going to feel satiny smooth like the paramour, but i mean more like, if it feels soft and comfy against the skin. I swear I've never had very sensitive skin, but I have seen to grow a strong dislike for rough fabrics.
I look forward to seeing how it goes during the test drive.
And I see, well the seams aren't as bad as they could've been. I totally forgot that you had taken photo's with a shirt on (i must've thought that it was a different bra that had the clothes on photos XD).

What national holiday are you having over there?

    • 1

In a way JulieCS it is definitely a little scratchier. The embroidery on Bridget is a lot thinner and more delicate. On Safiya it's thick and strong. That's the only difference, the actual mesh in parts where it doesn't have the embroidery feels absolutely the same under my fingers.

    • 1

I only wish I were MamaPagan on occasion JulieCS , thank you for the compliment though! ;-)
      brasaremean takes THE BEST photos

    • 1

      LeProfessor It's statehood day!

It really doesn't feel rough against my skin, and I get easily annoyed by rough fabrics.
That being said, the very edges where the elastic is, does feel somewhat rough.

    • 1

Oh, I'm sorry, LeProfessor, mistyped/mistagged! My bad, I'm barely keeping up with these long comment threads.. :))

    • And LeProfessor I did actually ask for overlapping gore on Belle de Nuit so we will see how much better it fares :)

    • Thanks for clarifying, brasaremean! Hope it'll still be comfortable to wear :-)

    • 1

      I feel so special! :-D
I always said that LeProfessor was a younger version of myself, JulieCS, so maybe that was why! ;-)

    • 1

I wore it all day today its really not scratchy/uncomfortable. Just a lot less supportive than my BMs.

    • Thank you for the update brasaremean. Do you feel the lack of support stems from the cups/wires, the band, or a combination of them both?

    • Cup construction for sure.

    • Good to know, so I can be prepared of a potential issue when mine arrives. :-) Thank you!

    70G

    Hasn't set fit

Sorry for the long delay in measuring/reviewing this bra, but since there's no other data here for it yet, I've made myself stop being lazy. I was really torn about whether or not to keep this bra, tbh. It's very comfortable, but it's not a perfect fit. For starters, the band is HUGE for a 70 - I can stretch it to at least 34 inches and I'm pretty sure it could go a bit further without harming the bra. I expected the black fabric to be tighter, but this mesh must be super stretchy in general. I can wear it on the tightest hooks, but it still ... rides up a tad and I'm going to alter it as soon as I can find the time.

After getting several 70F Comexims that ran super small in the cups, I finally caved and got a G this time, even though past Comexim models have been too big on me in that size. Glad I did, because these cups seem to fit okay. There's some wrinkling, but I think it's down to the construction, not the sizing.

Speaking of construction, for an unlined, mesh bra this thing is shallow. I'm slowly trying to fix that by applying gentle pressure at the mesh just above the wires to stretch it out, but right out of the box it gave me a weird shape, kind of an upward slant rather than a curve out from the wires. I feel like the horizontal seam just isn't placed in the ideal spot somehow, or isn't at the right angle. The wings are also a bit high for my liking, but b/c the cups are so narrow it works fine for me.

Things I do love - the gore (low and narrow, gives me lots of space for inner fullness, so yay!), the comfy soft wires, how breathable the mesh has been for summer wearing, and how short-root friendly the bra is. The ribbon along the top edge is perfect for me, though it does tend to show under thinner shirts. I wouldn't think this bra would work for anyone too full-on-top.

All in all, I've decided to keep this one and just try to alter the band to fit better. I'm really amazed at how big it runs, so I don't think I'll be ordering the Moulin Rouge black version. I may take a break from Comexim in general for while, as I feel like they've been too inconsistent lately with cup/band sizing and not enough depth at the wire. This one wasn't really my style, but I did want to try their unlined bras and I have to admit mesh bras are super comfortable when it's hot out.

    • Thank you for sharing your experience with this stunning bra. Looks gorgeous on you! The "shallow at the wire" issue has been a big issue for my sister and me, too. In fact, 0 of 5 in her recent order fit. And, I could visual see the difference compared to her order of the same size one year ago. Sigh.

    • Thanks! Same, I just keep having to up cup sizes in this brand and it makes ordering such a huge gamble. Pity, b/c now that there's a purple version of this bra in the works I'm kind of tempted.

    • Love4Pollinators it's so frustrating! I see older reviews for their 3HCs that look SO DEEP, and none of the ones I've ordered have been the same. Luckily they still work okay for me (they get pushed down a little bit but not terribly), because I don't know what else to even try anymore. Most Polish brands are insanely difficult to get ahold of in the US.

  10. Gemma Half Cup

    like

    65HH

    Didn't fit

I have been wearing 30FF in UK sizes, so I had this made in 65HH 3HC with alterations: Lower gore, overlapping gore, straps moved in '2-3 cm', and with cookie pockets for asymmetry. I love the looks of this bra for a really nice looking everyday bra. It's accented by gold hardware and a gore 'jewel' and has a nice dark grey and black pattern that makes it unique and a bit more special than a plain black bra. Plus it matches the dark grey and black undies I already have (not the 'matching set')... bonus.

For fit: I ordered this bra (originally a plunge) in a 3HC ... in hopes that the shorter cup would fit me better than the tall plunge I previously tried. The shorter cups do work better for my short roots compared to the plunge cut. I find that the overlapping gore is very narrow, but I have no way of confirming if it was lowered (reduced in height). When I do a fresh scoop and swoop I get some pretty noticable quadding, the gore is no where near tacked (soft wires + boobs being squished in), and it sits on breast tissue. I tried to reverse S&S, but then there's just not enough room for everything in the cups. A warning to those that are fuller on top to watch that black trim in case it cuts in. The cups are shallow for me at 9.0", and I'm not sure if that is because of the alterations or just because Comexim is just too shallow for me in general. They do round things out nicely, but the shallowness (or smallness?) or the bra holds the breast closer to the body than EMs chp. The wires follow my IMF fairly well (a touch wide for me), and I haven't noticed them moving throughout the day. An odd thing happens during the day though...I notice that my boobs settle in somehow and the quadding is less noticeable later in the day. I'm not sure what is going on there, except to say that I have soft tissue that squishes and molds easily. This soft tissue of mine makes getting a good fit (and discerning a good fit) very challenging. The band feels excellent to me - 3x4 sets of hooks, and I find that it fits exactly how I expected it to (I know there are some variations with bands with Comexim, but no problems here).

Comfort: This bra is unbelievably comfortable! Even though it's not a good technical fit, I love it. My boobs feel loved in this bra, and they are also contained with some soft cleavage on top. The material and the bra itself are so soft. There are no 'pressure areas' from hard wires or a too tight band. Everything just feels lovely right away - no breaking in necessary. I will never put those cookie pockets to use with the shallowness of this bra, but if I did, I have a feeling they'd work great. I do prefer how Comexim constructs their cookie pockets - the pockets overlap instead of how EM does theirs with just a little cup on the bottom to hold the cookie. I'll add more pictures of the bra soon.

Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and comfort of this bra. The fit issues are really my own fault, as I am still sorting out what fit/size will work best for me.

    • I really would not call this bra shallow....I can see how much more projection it has compared to other padded bras, although I think you could easily go up a cup size and this may very well help the Gore tack. There is a possibility that it is too shallow for you. Do the wires sink below your IMF or do they stay in place?
It seems odd to me that you are bewildered that the quading goes away with wear. This happens to me quite a lot. You'll also see a lot of women say they quad after S&S but settle into the bra after awhile or they'll say the bra "gapes with wear." As in when they first put the bra on there is no gaping, but after a while of wear the breast will settle and then gaping will occur. Breast settling is very common.
Comexim and Ewa bras do such a good job at pushing the breast to the front of the chest that their bras exaggerate any inner fullness. If going up a size does not work, you would need a bra with more cup space next to the Gore to contain the breast tissue instead of the breast forcing the Gore away from the body.
I think this bra looks beautiful on you and is spook close to fitting you perfectly!

  11. Coco (381)

I decided to order this bra last month after the underwire popped out of my 36HH - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) , since I needed a replacement but couldn't find any Envys under $60...and because I was curious about how unlined Comexims fit. I have a particular love of half cups, because they work so well with my shape (very short, projected, and full on bottom). Of course there's little info to go on; comparing the measurements of an 80M Coco with my 85K - Comexim » Sonia Half Cup (406) made me opt to size down a cup size, as it ... seemed the unlined one ran larger.

I ordered this on 6/20, it shipped last week, and it arrived today - so about a month from ordering to receiving. As far as alterations go, I asked for the straps to be moved in, as well as the gore narrowed. I'm assuming the straps were moved; the gore is definitely much narrower.

The fit on it is pretty great. The band is quite tight, so going with an 85 was actually the right choice this time - I measured it at about 36.5" stretched. The cups have a lot of immediate depth, which is something I need in a bra - the wires sit happily in my IMF and don't want to go anywhere. The wires are *very* narrow - at 6" they are the narrowest of any bra I own, and I think they are right at the limit of how narrow of a wire I can comfortably wear. The shape I get is not *quite* as uplifted as I get from my Sonia, but it's close - I'm actually surprised at how supportive the bra is, considering it's a single layer of mesh lace. Of course, I also haven't played around with adjusting the straps much yet, so I'm sure that I can get a bit more lift if I adjust those.

Going down a cup in size was the right choice, as it does indeed run larger in the cup than Sonia does, however it's not quite a full cup size larger; I get just the teensiest bit of almost-quad on my larger side. Still, not enough to really effect the fit or be noticeable, and definitely not enough to size up. Getting the gore narrowed was definitely the right choice as well - it tacks perfectly this time. The wings measure as being tall, but as was the case with Sonia, they're actually quite low under the sides - I think the fact that the wires are so narrow makes wing measurements kind of inaccurate since it's meant to be where the side meets the cup.

The bra itself is beautiful. It's this really pretty sheer lace mesh, with hot pink bows on the gore. Black and hot pink is one of my favorite color combinations, so I'm very pleased with how it looks. The lace itself has a really interesting design on it - it isn't floral like most laces are, but instead this abstract squiggle design. It's neat, but I think I would have preferred a more typical floral lace. The sides of the bra are just plain black - I kind of wish the lace had been overlaid onto the wings and band. The tops of the cups are also edged with a pretty trim that I like.

Overall, this bra was a great experiment, and will be a good replacement for my Envy, at half the cost. I'm really happy with the appearance and fit, and I'll definitely be getting more unlined 3HCs.

It does look like a good fit. I have this bra, but on me the cups are way too tall - which makes me wonder if it would have fit me better a cup size down? I dont have particularly short roots.

    • Thank you! This looks beautiful and an unlined I'll add to my "want" list.

    • 1

this is on my want list when my my other black lace bras dies .. you can only have so many black lace bras .

      looks beautiful
      on you .

    • 3

It's so encouraging to see someone get such a good fit when you can't try it on first. Enjoy your new bra - it looks great on you!

    • Never too many lacy bras!

I generally do a ton of research before buying a bra - which is difficult because there's so little info in my size range. But it means I'm generally able to get a pretty good fit out of it!

    • Ohhh, this just looks gorgeous on you! It makes me nervous to custom order a bra I can't return and then to wait a month for it, but I'm glad this worked out so well for you! I'm sure it isn't totally perfect, but it sure looks like it in photos!

    • 4

Honestly I have to say this is probably the absolute best fit I've gotten in a bra - it's better than my Etta, better than my Envy, better than my Sonia, and better than my CHP Lawenda. I wore it all day yesterday and it was just so comfortable, and it stayed in place all day, which is really impressive - I need so much immediate depth that usually even my bras that seem really deep at the wire start sliding around. But it did not budget at all.

    • Bette than your CKs? Oh dear. Want!!

  12. Ingrid Half Cup Longline

Omg omg omg. This is my third Ingrid. I've tried Ingrid plunge 80k and 85K before but they were too small in the cups and too big in the bands. (I don't know what I was thinking. 85?! Ouch....) Finally I have got a fitting Ingrid!!!!!!!! I am just too excited to have one of my favorite bras in a proper size now. Lol

This in size 75M fits like just 34H which is my usual uk size. The band stretches to about 35 inches. The wires are narrow and the cups deep. What more can I say? It is a Comexim! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

    • 1

roxannelovesbras Thanks!! Ingrid is totally fantastic lol

    • Awesome, looks great

    • thats narrow? looks like it comes almost to the back of your armpit? Not to be critical, but i keep considering trying a comexim but keep being discouraged. i'm 3 or 4 cup sizes larger than you are

    • 1

Beautiful!!! dbmamaz I bent, narrowed, the wires and it worked fantastically for me.

    • Thanks lvp!

dbmamaz Yes, only considering the size. The width is about 16cm. And surprisingly, bigger size bras from comexim that I've ordered before has the same wires in width. I have Coco 3hc in size 80M which fits like 32Jj/34j(not sure though. It is just huge for me..ugh I listed it, so you can check the measurement) and compared it to Ingrid 75M. They have same width. So... I think it is worth trying haha.

    • Thanks DressTheTwins!! :)

    • Wow, that is close to my size. But the band seems pretty big. I mostly wear 32s in Panache and 75s in Ewa Michalak. How did you end up with such a big bra? Wish you werent so VERY far away lol

    • Looks lovely on you! dbmamaz all the measurements I see for Comexims look too wide for me so I've been starting the think the narrow wires are maybe somewhat size dependent or because they are narrower than many other padded half cups- just guessing here

    • yeah, they seem to fit really well on people who are maybe up to a G cup in Uk, i think. tho a few bigger people like them

Tho if I look at her 80M listing, her measurements of the cup width is smaller than any of my bras? Idk, its tempting me a little. for science. not like i need another black bra tho

    • 1

Then I'd be tempted too! My problem is the opposite. All the measurements I see where the depth would fit me the width is wider than all the bras I already have. But I'm still tempted by Ingrid because she's so lovely.

    • I should have said that the wires are no narrower than some of the other bras I have and wider than some others. In 65HH Ingrid which I would guess estimate as my size (having not tried it on) the measurements are very similar to my Cleo Lily 30F. The width is the same actually. Another I've looked for example was the Sonia half cup. I think I'd need a 65J in it and the wires are 5.7" which is basically the same as the Claudette Sophia icon 30FF Chinchilla color way.

    • 1

dbmamaz oh.. It has a long story lol. I think coco runs a bit big in the size. And the band is pretty firm and fits like em's 75s. I've tried S pralinca? and s cut bra in size 75hh and 75J. I think coco80m fits like em's 75jj, not sure though.

      Thanks revisa!!

It's even prettier alive! The plunge cut proved, one again, to be perfect for narrow roots and projection!
I asked for the straps to be moved in 2 cm (0,8 inches!), to reduce armpit shafting!

I love this bra! It's a new cut for me from Comexim, and I would buy the single seamed half cup again based on my experiences. The wires are nice and narrow (4.6 inches wide) and the cups are very low coverage. This style does run a bit small, so if you don't want the amount of Cleavage I have here, you can always order up a size. The pattern of this half cup is identical to the pattern of my plunges, but with the top section removed. So if you typically order with reduced cups and want them even further reduced this is a good option. To ... me, it seams even more plungey than the plunge. The band on this is on the tighter side or true to size at 25.5 inches, so it's perfect for me. I believe this is the same cut as the new Victoria Halfcup. I had heard that this style of half cup ran very shallow, and I wouldn't say that's true in my size. It's overall smaller than the plunges I have in the same size (which makes sense as it's half a cup) but it has the same lower cup shape and narrower wires. This bra was sent to me by Comexim to review (as a lovely surprise), and I don't know if it has been altered. It's one of the most comfortable bras I own, and I'm so glad to add it to the collection!

You just said recently how you'd love to be one of those bloggers who get bras as gifts for reviewing purposes - and here it is! A beautiful one at that... :)

    • 1

erispe I know! I feel so lucky that Anna enjoyed my previous reviews. I'm always happy to support a company that I love so much. I actually received Pioson Ivy Longline and Geisha as a gift as well.

    • 1

Wow! So the reviews are on the way... will be reading. :)

    • 1

This bra looks amazing. Glad you got a great bra!

    • 1

This is really pretty. I've eyed it everytime I've placed an order but I never go with it. I didn't think it'd fit. But, if they're projected and narrow in this range I may have to go for it.
It is very mermaid like, that's a perfect description.

Also, I cannot wait to read your Poison Ivy longline review! I was going to have mine made a longline, but decided against it. I'm interested to see what it would have looked like.

    • 1

Wow thanks for reviewing this bra! 😃

I've been wanting to order from Comexim and Yoko will definitely be in my basket.. Perhaps my favorite from their designs!

Wasn't much info available so this is certainly helpful. What size would you recommend for a UK 30GG / EM 70H in S style?

    • 1

I'm glad it was helpful! :) I was very positively surprised by this one. It's very similar to the plunge with reduced cups, but more so! jlcl119 you should definitely try it! I think it would suit you well.

bubblegum Yay! I'm glad to spread the Comexim love! I also absolutely adore this bra. It's a really unique design that I haven't seen a lot before. I would guess 65K or L, but you could also go for 70J or K if you're worried about band tightness. Comexim bands tend to be fairly true to size, but this one ran about .5" short.

  15. Charme Plunge Bra (415)

This is my most comfortable Comexim bra. I’m not sure why, perhaps the projection is just right for me? Along with the low gore perhaps? Whatever it is, I’m desperately trying to replicate it lol!

This bra is a typical Comexim plunge three part cup lined with a thin layer of foam. The band is a strong but stretchy enough beige material similar to the basic plunge, with a layer of black mesh. The cups are also beige with black mesh overlay and the crazy lace and ruffles at the top.

This bra absolutely shows up under all but the thickest tops. This was disappointing, especially because it fits me so well. But it is a very inexpensive bra so I don’t regret buying it.

Side note; I’m not fond of the light beige showing through either. I’m hoping that someday Comexim will start using fabrics for us darker skinned folks.

    • 1

      Thanks Happy2BraShop :) it’s sooo comfortable

    • 1

Ooh, I've been looking for a comfortable plunge bra! I may have to get this one. I usually wear a layering tank top under a shirt if the material shows through and I'm going to work. If it's not work related then I don't really mind my bra showing a little. Although the ruffled edges on the cups look like they might give a lumpy boob look under shirts and I don't want that lol I wonder if it's easy to remove that fabric or if it would mess up the lace.

    • 1

WildWolff I didn’t even think of that! Great idea :) I’ll take a closer look and see if removing the ruffles is doable

    • 1

Hmmm interesting! Does this fit like a true 34 band? I own this in a 55 band and it is definitely more like a “25 band.” I observe that when a bra is comfortable, it also looks great! This is certainly the case here 😃 it looks great on you!

    • thecurvypetite thank you :)
I think It does fit like a true 34 band, maybe closer to 33 which I can tolerate since I have some “squish” lol.

I think Comexim band sizes run differently depending on the size range. I find the 75s are usually true to size but I’ve heard that smaller bands tend to be tight. Funny, I think it’s the opposite with Ewa Michalak bras, just to be more confusing haha

    • 1

WildWolff so I took a close look at how it’s sewn at the top and I don’t think removing the ruffles is doable. It’s attached to the layer of lace and to the cups foam, with two different seams. I think it might ruin the bra if I tried lol, plus my sewing skills are rudimentary at best

    • 1

margesimpson thanks for following up on that. Seems like it's a well made bra! I don't think my intermediate sewing skills could tackle it either. But the comfort and low gore interest me so I added it to my wishlist.

    Didn't fit

So this bra is not as much of a sh*tshow as my new Comexim Clara. It's a cup size up from my secondhand 60J Scottie Half Cup that's now way too small in the cup. I asked for the straps to be moved inward and the gore to be overlapped, which they did. I think this fabric is so fun and cheery! I bought the matching Figi in size S, which fits my ~23.5" waist and ~37" hips fairly well but isn't as flattering as the matching bottoms for my Lilly.

When I first put this bra on, I was kind of mystified. The effect is much less dramatic ... in photos, but in person, it kind of looks like I'm wearing two different halves of the same bra. This type of bra really does not work well for my asymmetry; I get a little bit of quadding on my bigger side, gapping on my smaller side, and the gore twists so that only the part of it on my smaller side sits flat against my sternum, making the bow nearly invisible. Putting cookies in Comexim bras usually doesn't help me because the cookie just pushes the bra further away from my body instead of functioning to fill the cup more, worsening the problem. The cup wrinkles where it meets the strap, I think because of my lack of upper fullness, and there's also wrinkling at some other (kind of random) spots on the bra. This bra is wearable and very cute, but not particularly comfortable and the mediocre fit doesn't really flatter me.

I honestly think they hired someone new which did not know how to overlap the gore properly - I'm getting the twisty gore thing on both of the bras in my BF orders - 60L - Comexim » Basic Half Cup and 60K - Comexim » Clara Half Cup . I've never had this issue with Comexim before and I've ordered from them quite a few times. I tried taking apart and then re-overlapping the gore on the Basic and it got better. I'm thinking of sending Joanna an email about this, since looks like I'm not alone! Maybe they need some overlapping gore training for the new hire lol.

    • 3

kate166 how strange! I actually had the same issue on my Comexim Paola and Lilly that I received several months ago. I would just request to have the gore lowered but who knows if they could do that or how it would affect the fit of the bra.

    • 1

kate166 My 65K - Comexim » Topaz arrived this morning and the gore on that is also twisting, so you may be right.

    • 1

moonshineforest VirtualPurple Joanna replied - "This could be happening because we are doing a very overlaping gore", and with more close-up pictures of the gore, she said "Just like I thought tunnel overlaps with tunnel." I don't really understand what she means, but I'm guessing the gore is too overlapped along the top & middle when it should only be overlapped at the very top?

Regarding the lowered gore, I used to frequently order this alteration a few years ago (until my cup size got bigger that I need the higher gore for support), and I think it made the centre of the cup a little shallower.

    Fits

Wow, is this bra a stunner, or what?!

As many of my regular followers know, I’ve lost a significant amount of weight this year, and it’s affected my boobs. I’ve lost 2-3” off of my over bust measurement, so I’ve got a very limited amount of bras that fit, or sort of fit me now. My faves are Comexim and Ewa Michalak, and while I feel pretty comfortable with what size I can do in EM, not so much with Comexim, especially as most of my bras are altered. My birthday was in August, so I decided to use my discount with Breakout Bras and order an unaltered bra ... in a size smaller than I’d been wearing. I knew that my 70H - Comexim » Triss 3hc was once a titch too small, and now it’s a little bit too big, and my 65HH - Comexim » Scottie (648) was also fitting a little bit too big now, so I was thinking about trying 65H or 70G unaltered to gage the fit, because I really want to reorder my Hot Chocolate in a new size to wear. The problem was that most of the bras in the same cut had backorders on the sizes that I was interested in. This one, however, was in my size, and ready to ship with no waiting. It’s one that I have loved from the moment I saw it on Instagram. It’s also very similar to the 65HH - Comexim » Bridget Half Cup (554) that I was able to try a while ago. So I grabbed it!

    My stats, currently:

    28.5” snug
    34.75-35” standing
    38” leaning

    9” vertical
    9.5” horizontal
    10” laying
(As of April, though it’s probably less now)

My tissue is very very soft. Like pudding. I’m technically even, however because I have less upper fullness than I used to (which was still shallow), I fit more fob functionally. I’m also short rooted as a result, and center full. I need narrow wires, and immediate depth at the wire to accommodate my projection.

    The details:

This bra is an unlined, 3 part half cup. The colourway is called Dove Brocade on the website, and it’s mostly a dove grey base, with pinky purple and white stitching. I think it’s kind of a flower pattern but, it’s a little whimsical, and I don’t know for sure what it is. The bow at the center is the same pinky purple, and the inside of the cups is lined with the same colour mesh.

    The fit:

So, the advice of the website said that the band was stretchy, so to size down if in between two sizes. The sentiment was also echoed here in the reviews. I was nervous about the size as I had also read that the cup size was running small. The previous unlined half cup was a 65HH though, so I suspected that it would be too large now. I normally take a 65/30 if it is a stretchy band or it’s got the extra set of hooks, or a 70 because they tend to fit tighter and more like a 30 than a 32. Due to the comments on the band, I opted for the 30, and almost a 28. I have to agree that the band is super stretchy. I’m actually wondering if I do need a 28. I feel comfortable in it, though once I tightened up my straps some, I felt like it wanted to make the band ride up. Loosely pulling with it on the loosest hooks, I can get 2 fingers underneath, comfortably...but, I can stretch it more and get my hand in. I readjusted the band position, and I don’t think it will move. I’m concerned that if I do size down, that it will wear out faster. As for the fit of the cups, I initially thought it was maybe too big still, or too tall, though I adjusted the straps a bit tighter than they were as they came, which helped. My small side is still gapping but, it’s ok on my big side, and I don’t think I can get away with a smaller size. The cups are lined with a little strip of clear elastic, which is usually a problem for me but, it seems ok here. Normally, I would have straps moved in 2cm but, I don’t know if it’s possible on this kind of bra, and like I said, I wanted to try totally unaltered to see what it was like (and BOB only sell unaltered unless you request alterations through them).

Anyway, I love this bra! I’m so happy with it! The only thing is whether I should swap it out with a 28G for a bit of a snugger band. I’ve messaged customer service about this and included a few videos for a fit check.

This bra is gorgeous on you!
Thanks for the review and sizing info. Glad the cups worked out for you. Hopefully the band is okay for you, or BOB will have some good advice on that.
As far as I know, Comexim does not do alterations on their unlined bras, I don’t think?

    • 1

Love this on you! It’s one of my prettiest Comexim bras I own. You also can’t beat the comfort of a Comexim!

    • Thanks. BoB suggest the size down in the band.

    • 1

      Here’s the response from BoB:

It seems like you'd get a more secure fit, as well as better boost into the upper cups if you do the 28G UK size instead. The fact that you tightened the straps (which gave you a better hug along the upper bust) but it caused the band to scoot up a bit already and you had to tug it back into place is usually a pretty clear indicator that you'll want the smaller band size for longer wear and to maintain good support as the bra's elastic stretches over time with wear.

The snugger band will also hug the entire bra more firmly, pulling the cup fabric more taut to the bust and boost your tissue a bit more firmly into the upper cups. If the band is a little snug for comfort in the very beginning, but you're liking the fit overall, then you can always add a bra-back extender until it 'breaks in' and gets a little more comfortable and molded to your body with a few wears.

I hope this helps you decide what you prefer for the fit of Onyks!

*I did readjust the band but it did seem to stay in place when I lifted my arms, so I’m not sure. I’m thinking maybe I will try the 28G. I’d like to research the stretched band lengths of the 60s here.

    • 1

Calluna Veru pretty on you! I think BoB made a few good points about sizing down. If it would still be comfortable on you, you'd probably get a much better fit in the 28G. The only thing, of course, if your rib sensitivity to consider...would you actually get as much wear out of it if it was on the tighter side?

    • 1

The bra looks beautiful on you! As always, thanks for the highly detailed review that puts everyone else's to shame :)

    • 1

Wilderness1 yes, my rib sensitivity is a concern for sure if I size down. It looks like the stretched band measurements of the 60s here are just under 29”, which is just shy of what I prefer (29-30”) so I’d probably have to use an extender for the first little bit but, given that it is super stretchy, it might be ok.

marilynne I try to be thorough, especially with descriptions, in case of any visually impaired people reading who are unable to see the bra.

    • 2

Hey everyone... at the suggestion of the BoB customer service, I went ahead and ordered the 28G, as it was the last one. I’ll be able to try both and return the one I don’t want. It’s already on the way!

    • 1

Calluna good luck! Looking forward to hearing how it fits comparatively

    • I’m expecting the 28G to arrive by the end of the week. Canada Post says to expect it Friday, but I did get the 30FF earlier than expected. That said, it’s Thanksgiving for us today, so Friday might be accurate. I’ll definitely update once I have it.

    70L

    Hasn't set fit

This really looks like an Art Déco sister-style of @70K Comexim Yoko plunge!
My regular Comexim size (70K) was not available, and I had previously been wondering whether to size up to 70L in Comexims.
So I tried that, and despite some minor issues it seems to have worked out well!

FYI, *edit: at least for my size*; the conversion BreakOutBras uses basically means that their listed 'US size' is the Comexim direct order size.
So in this case, UK 32HH - US 32L means Comexim 70L.

Edit: *because this is unaltered, the strap placement does bother me*. Ideally I would do some sewing and move in the straps, we'll ... see - for they are currently too far apart for a day's wear / comfort.
One thing that's interesting about the fit: the immediate projection is still insufficient, despite sizing up. So I'm thinking in Comexim plunges I definitely need added projection at the wire? It's wearable like this for sure, but could be better.

I really do like this bra's aesthetics!
Some Comexims just speak to me and this one was definitely on the shortlist.
Sadly this Piume Blue had been sold out for a while at Comexim's - which is why I did cave and ordered this one from BoB, despite already owning Yoko that looks somewhat similar. On the plus side, my bra size has remained pretty stable over the years, so I'm hoping that luck will last for a while longer (hmm o_0 - don't jinx it!?) and I've found that having a larger rotation also helps to keep my bras in great shape for longer!

    (yes yes, guilty as charged - #justifyingmypurchase #dontneedmorebras #braddict (; )

no, I feel the same way. It's always a toss up, I think to myself, "do I order more to keep the bras I have now in good shape?" Lol.

But it's so true, the more bras one owns, the longer they stay in a good condition.

    • 1

bubblegum , the only exception is, US I = Comexim HH, since comexim doesn't use I (but doesn't skip letters - like I guess Ewa skips O and goes directly to P, because O would look like zero. Maybe Comexim thought letter I looks like one...)

Question (not that you need to urgently answer): I found this chart online which converts UK cup size to EU cup size. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6a/Cupumrechnung.svg

so, isn't Breakout Bras skipping cups here and there? It's not a 1:1 ratio of UK cup sizes to EU cup sizes. Should I email Breakout Bras my burning question? Lol.

    • 2

Oohhh this looks great on you! And it totally has that Art Deco artistic appeal to it. It looks way better in your pics than the stock photos on the model. Love it!

    • 2

I've been wanting this bra so bad! I have the red version in a wrong size but the blue is just something else! So happy for you/jealous you have this :') It looks great on you :)

    • 2

      MeeM_13 ask Comexim directly!

I emailed them about their Snake bra a while ago (sadly missed out; sold out in my size) and they then mentioned they could make me a Piume Blue!

Decided on ordering through Breakoutbras in the end, because of the Treasure bikini deal, but they *may* still have some fabric left to make you one!?

    • 1

bubblegum ooh I really can't justify buying new bras right after I've got some but hopefully, they'll still be magically available. If not, that's okay too. They just have such beautiful bras, like Megan and Emotion (I reallyyy want Emotion). I should stop tempting myself by looking at comexim bras 😂

    • 2

Oh wow: just looked it up and Emotion is a very original design indeed! Super fancy with those wider straps!

I've been very curious (if a little hesitant?) about unlined Comexims.

But yes, let's practice some restraint and just not look haha! Sorry for enabling ;)

    • 1

BraOdyssey I suppose you're right, interesting!

I always get somewhat confused when I look at all those size charts too long haha - especially when taking into account that UK cup 'jumps' count a 1" (2.54 cm.) increase, while EU cup jumps calculate a 2cm. increase?

So I was just happy when I figured out that (at least for my size) BreakoutBras 'US size' corresponds with Comexim direct-order size; not 100% sure about the underlying math for all sizes!

Thanks for pointing that out - and yes, ask if they can explain/elaborate?

    • 2

I only have experience with one unlined comexim (Karina plunge) and it's the best unlined bra I currently own. The band is much more supple, almost looser than the normal padded bras so, I'd want to go down a band size but I just really like a very snug band. You can ask the unlined bras to be made into a 3hc, instead of a plunge, if that's what you want (I really want that). I got mine second hand and the alteration was done for reduced cups but even then, I think it expected my nipples to be higher even though the cup depth was okay because the cups were too tall for me but if you're okay with their normal plunges, height shouldn't be an issue. The top has a bit of stretch elastic kinda, it's fairly open at the top. Material feels good, not too delicate bit not too rough or whatever. It gives a very nice shape. I have pointy/conical boobs but it really gave a natural almost round shape. Straps are ridiculously wide (for me) but I've heard that about the plunges in general. Hmm, that's all I can think of right now but this is just my experience with one unlined bra and I have smaller breasts so, I can't know what they'd be like for larger breasts.
You should definitely try them tho! Ahem, obviously not now but maybe next time 👀😂

bubblegum , I think that your explanation does make sense for a bunch of letter though.

  19. Basic Half Cup

    About me:
FOB, pendulous, short roots, narrow shoulders, narrow to average width roots, centre full and close set.

This was partially an experiment, (excuse to get another Comexim LOL) I ordered this from Breakout Bras since I knew I could return it if it didn’t work out. I wanted to compare an unaltered 3HC with my 3HCs that have straps moved in 1cm. While I prefer the straps moved in, this actually still works for me.

This bra has similar material to the basic plunge with an added strip of gold satin at the edge of the cups. The edge of the cups do show through a thin or ... tight shirt. I’ll be honest, I’m not crazy about the colour, but it’s the closest to a “nude” and I wanted a basic 3HC. I’m hoping someday Comexim will have some other nudes, but the excellent comfort and fit make up for it!

The fit is spot on for me, even the band is TTS and stretched to 34”. 3x3 hooks in the back. The cups are slightly shorter than my Beauty, but it still works for me. This bra feels light and comfortable, as per usual for Comexims. Definitely a keeper.

If you’re new to Comexim sizing, here’s some interesting info (or boring info) I literally spent hours trying to figure out sizing from Comexim to Breakout bras lol. So, I’m usually a 34F UK, and found that in the 3HC 75HH Comexim size fits me well. Then I had to convert to BOB sizing, which is 34G. I’m so relieved I did the bra math correctly lol

      BraOdyssey thanks!
Haha yes it is fun once you get some bra wins out of it!
It is somewhat silky but not as much as the patterned ones

  20. Mixed Colors Plunge Bra (446)

I received this bra from Anya99. 10/10 seller, highly recommend.

Pictures don’t do the vivid colors justice! When I look at the pattern it vaguely reminds me of modern artwork you’d see in your 1980’s dentist’s office lol. First off, I forgot to adjust the straps when I tried it on, I was that excited. Plus I have about ten different tan/burn lines going on. So it slightly looks like I have some quadding, but in reality after adjustments I don’t.

The cups are a three-past construction, with smooth soft silk touch fabric over a white cotton padded like material. This particular one has cookie pockets on the ... inside. The back-band has the same colorful fabric around the entire band, with a white power mesh lining inside. There are hot pink straps with mint colored hardware. I believe the straps were moved in a few centimeters. The back clasp consists of a mint 3x3 closure. There is a cute aqua and hot pink bow on the center of the gore. There are no other bows or adornments on this bra. This bra is definitely comfortable.

BraOdyssey It’s super comfy. I once saw a review for a Comexim bra, where the person said “The C must stand for comfort” and boy were they speaking some truth lol. I definitely appreciate a good rounded uplift.
