    60J

    Didn't fit

I ordered this 60J with reduced cups after the 60HH fit debacle - which fit about half a cup size too small. I was hopeful that the 60J would be a better fit. At first blush, Ingrid appeared to fit quite well. It looks lovely on and gives great cleavage. The band is comfy and true to size. The straps are comfortable on my narrow shoulders and the gore is delightfully narrow.

However, after a few minutes of wear, it became apparent that this bra is too small for me. The wires keep slipping out of my IMF and ended up being uncomfortably pushed down my torso. This ... happened with the 60HH, but I didn't think much of it because it was clear that the overall cup volume was too small. (I have serious trouble diagnosing specific fit issues when the overall bra is just too small.) But, it seems the 60J does not have enough immediate projection (I need oodles). I am not sure if this problem would be solved by sizing up, or if the Comexim plunges are just not a good fit for my shape. Sigh.

Sidenote - This bra arrived ridiculously fast. It was sent out 2 - 3 days after the online order was made and shipping took about 12 days to Canada. Also, all of the customizations I requested (reduced cup height and moved in straps) were made. Seriously impressive.

    • You're making me really doubt that a Comexim would work for me :(
Shame because they have beautiful plunges and I already know that Ewa's dont have enough projection at the wire :/

    • I may have to stick to CHPs.

    • Thank you thank you thank you for your review, especially the last paragraph. My last order shipped within 3 days and I have been worried they didn't do my size or customizations. Knowing yours was fulfilled as quickly and done correctly eases my mind a bit. So, again, thank you!

Sorry this one didn't work out, but it does look great on you-a good match for your skin tone.

    • AprilGoulding I think I may need to stick to CHPs as well. They are such a perfect fit! It's a shame that the Comexim plunges are so pretty.

    • 1

MamaPagan fingers crossed that your customizations are done. I wonder if they hired extra seamstresses for the holiday rush? My black friday order took so much longer

    • 1

Before you give up, isn't Ingrid one of the ones that a lot of folks have serious fit issues with?

    • Sovavosi how did I miss this info! Tell me more.

    • 1

I might be confusing this with the 3HC version. I just remember seeing people post that it was small and shallow.

    • 1

No, I think Sovavosi is right. I think that Ingrid plunge is an off fit plunge. It might be better as a 3HC though.

    • eek!Calluna I thought it was the other way around.

    • I also have read that it tends to be bigger and taller.

    • Indeed Sovavosi is correct, Ingrid is a regular fit issue. Just go to the fit request page and search for Ingrid and you'll see it has frequented the site. :-D

*But* I believe most (if not all) were Breakout Bras versions which vary from Comexim directs.

So trying another model may not be a bad idea?

    • This looks fantastic on you. Sorry that it's too small.

    Fits

A long overdue update to the blog and review of the Comexim classic Ingrid that I can't believe I went so long without trying. Beautiful autumn-friendly floral pattern, typical narrow wires, more apex than immediate projection. A size smaller than I originally wore in Comexim is making me feel the extent of the shrinkage I've had. I'm wearing mostly 28Fs and tight-banded 30Es these days. Fits well and makes me feel classy!

Yay. A new review! Welcome back. Also perfect timing. I really want to order this same bra, but am not sure if I also need a 60H now... I have been obsessing over Ingrid for a few days, but my existing 60HHs have me stumped. When you measured at the apex, which part of the cup was it?

    • I found the deepest part to be where the two seams meet.

    • Thanks for the review. From what I've read in a couple of your reviews, I think I fit bras pretty similarly to you (broad shoulders, short roots, narrow, soft), so I find your reviews particularly helpful. It looks great on you, btw.

    • Thanks, that's how I measure mine. I noticed that your depth measurement is deeper than the other 60H Ingrids on here, but troubling for me is that the measurements are really close to my 60HHs, so I'm totally stumped on sizing again :/ I might try writing to Anna with pics. I'm starting to wonder if I got one 60H mislabeled.

    • Beautiful! :)

    50H

    Didn't fit

After years of buying from Ewa Michalak, I finally decided to take the plunge into the world of Comexim. I definitely second guessed myself in the wrong direction this time. This is supposedly a 50H with reduced cups, so at least now I know never to order a 50G. Goodness.

Super comfy, and the band is a perfect fit. Wires are just a little wide on my narrow roots, but it's the best I've had so far. I don't even feel the stabby gore, which is amazing. The cups are much too small, though; it's like my boobs are having a quad party. Time to order a new one.

    Fits

Since I got this bra last December, it has been the one I’m most likely to wear on any given day. It’s soft and comfortable and perfect. It has the narrow and projected cups Comexim is known for, and gives a round and uplifted but still natural shape. I was a bit unsure before ordering whether I would like the look since I kind of hate beige bras. But Ingrid has understated beauty, and a slightly vintage feel to it. The copper and olive green rose print looks gorgeous on the warm-toned creamy background. I like that it’s not trying to be sexy.

I ordered Ingrid with a reduced ... center gore, but it seems like standard height to me. The gore doesn’t really tack and sits on my breast tissue, but reduced and overlapping gores do the same really. It’s a result of my very close-set breasts combined with Comexim’s soft wires. It’s not uncomfortable, so I don’t mind. The band was unfortunately quite loose on my bra, and I had to close it with the tightest hooks immediately. After some time I got the band shortened by a few centimeters, and now it feels very good (measurements taken before the alteration).

Interestingly, the fit of the cups has changed somewhat after receiving the bra (even before the band alteration). In the beginning, the bra was gaping at the top annoyingly. After a few months, the gaping disappeared and the top edge was sitting very smoothly against my skin. I couldn’t figure out why my boobs would be growing at this point – maybe it was some migrated tissue coming back after starting to wear projected Polish bras? Nevertheless, it fits very well now and I am happy!

I also got a matching thong in size S, since I wasn’t a fan of the brief style. The thong is really pretty and comfortable, I love it.

So yeah I want to wear this bra every day. It feels like pillows for boobs. It’s beautiful. I’m happy to now have Comexim in my life.

      Gorgeous!!!

    • 1

I have it and really like it. Also I wasn't sure about the print but it's looks much better when you have it in your hand or on your boobs actually.
However I don't wear it often now as before coz I have way too many bras :D

    • Thank you Love4Pollinators ! I agree martka00, it does look better in real life! It's starting to have a lot of competition now, but still holding on. :D

    • 1

Thanks for the review. I have the same close-set problem where it's hard to get even an overlapped gore to tack in there, but some definitely work better than others. Still haven't found the right fit in Comexim but inspired to try again.

    • 1

This is a bra I've never pulled the trigger on and every time I see it I like it a little bit more. It really does have a vintage feel.

    • 1

too sad there isnt a longline version available.
This bra really suits you well.

    • 1

1zora216 Thank you! :) Actually you can order any of their bras as a longline version, it's just a bit more expensive.
lcl0706 It does! It's very lovely but not necessarily one that would at first get your attention.
MommaK I hope you will find the right fit! :) I find that Ewa Michalak gores tack more easily (lower gore + firmer wires), but often I still find Comexim more comfortable.

      What an lovely bra!

    • 1

I know, right?! It's definitely my favorite out of all the bras Comexim sells.

    • 1

Glad you finally got it! I used to have that bra, but I grew tired of my husband saying it looked like fabric from an old couch (gah, men are so dumb.) Yes, those Comexim bands can be TIGHT sometimes. I prefer 70 or even 75 bands from them when I prefer 65 and 70 from Ewa Michalak. It is unreal the comfort from their wires and wings, though. :)

    • 1

Haha, I can see how your husband would compare it to an old couch. My grandmother had a floral couch when I was little. She had it covered in plastic and never used it (silly).
I really couldn't believe the wires! Looking at measurements of other bras in the size range, it looks like I got a little lucky and that they should have been a bit wider and taller, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, lol.

    Didn't fit

I have been interested in trying the Ingrid for quite a while after seeing so many great reviews. It is very pretty, and if good quality.

Breakoutbras had this on deep discount, and although it is bigger in the cup than my regular size, I figured that I would roll the dice, especially considering many reviews said that the cups tended to run a bit small.

As you can see in the pictures, the cups are way too big, more than two cup sizes too big. I assumed that this could be two cup sizes too big, but would be worth trying in case it fit, and for bra science. This may be the first bra I have tried that makes my breasts look small, haha.

The band is pretty true for a 30 band. Since my underbust is a little under 30, I wore it on the tightest hooks.

The projection was good on this bra, and the cups and straps didn’t cut in to my arm pits.

    • Bummer honey. Sorry it didn't work out for you. Got to love those sale prices though! They are so hard to resist for the chance at a good it. Got to make the gamble sometimes, right?

    80N

    Didn't fit

First, I want to note that I purchased this bra from Breakout Bras, whose @Comexim come in UK sizing. Yes, the tag actually says 36JJ. Bratabase converted it automatically to an 80N.

The Ingrid fabric has been discussed plenty, so I won't go there. The bra is very well made, and the fabric is sturdy and soft.

So uh...this bra is huge, I think? I have INCHES of space in the top of the cup. It was hard to photograph the empty space without just basically taking a picture of my boobs, but hopefully y'all can get the idea from the one picture I provided. I also had ... a good amount of empty space on the outside of the cup, but it's not visible because of how I'm holding my arms.

I'm just confused. Is the bra huge, are the cups too tall, does it want someone more full on top? I'd really like to exchange it for one of Breakout Bras' other Comexim styles, which are:

    Rose 3HC
    Sonia Padded Balcony
    Basic Padded Plunge
Belle de Nuit Padded Half Cup
    Queen of Hearts Padded Plunge
    or, Ingrid in another size.

    Advice is very appreciated!

    • The height of the gore and cups seems tall. Compared to my 90M, the gore is almost .5 inches taller and the cups are about the same, and they shouldn't be considering Comexim grading. Maybe this is a mistaken raised gore and cups that got mixed with a normal batch.

    • But the depth seems about right. About an inch smaller than mine, a sister-sized cup up from yours.

    • Do you fill out the bottom? Maybe try another plunge in 80M? I fit a cup smaller in my Comexims than I did unlined bras before I grew out of them.

    • Thats why everyone requests reduced cup height in larger sizes. Because the cup heights are stupid. at least thats what I was told.

    • I found mine perfect for my short roots though. Although I am full on top.

    • Yeah, I fill out the bottom nicely. And honestly, the bra is really comfortable!

My measurements could always also be a bit off, especially the cup depth. I find that one tricky.

Do half cups still have the same crazy cup height? If so, a half cup might be wearable in my size.

    • I have a half cup that's a sister-size (bigger band) to this Comexim. It's a bigger at the apex (by about half an inch) but the gore is a bit shorter and the cup height is about 9 inches, so much shorter than yours.

    • I found Ingrid to run the largest in the cup, and be the most open on top, of any comexim plunges I've tried. It's kind of an outlier to their usual fit.

    • wild_muses, that's odd because I've found it to be the smallest, both in band and cup, & most shallow of any Comexim bra I've tried.

    • see, this is why I dont want to buy them. Its totally custom in my size and they are totally inconsistent. I mean, ewa is frequently inconsistent in bands, but not everything else

    • Actually, dbmamaz if you buy from Breakout Bras you can get one with free returns and shipping and they stock your size. They have my old size, 90M (UK 40J), and sister sizes down. I agree that buying from them directly can be sort of daunting though. I'm still working up the guts to try to get another one to replace the ones I grew out of.

    • 2

I'm not even sure I want to buy ANY more polish bras except the SF. My Jasmine fits so much better. Jasmine's wires dont shift down and hurt me. Its the only one. Its the only one with enough projection.

    • I feel your frustration. I only have one Curvy Kate and it digs in at thearmputs so it's a constant battle.

    • I hear you both. Panache Envy is basically my only reliable bra for all of my fit issues. It's not perfect either, the wires are kinda stabby, but I pad them over with moleskin. Jasmine is a little pointy on me.

    • Envy dug in below my boobs - it didnt have enough projection or immediate, not sure. And it was the only bra where, when I outgrew my 32Js, instead of quadding, it stopped tacking. Not sure why. But it didnt work. tho someone (bad w names, i'd recognize you if I saw you, i think you wear 30JJ lol) said only the black was problematic, but . . eh. I'll stick w jasmine.

    65F

    Didn't fit

Going to do a full review of this later this week when I have a 60F to compare, but as of now I will just note that the 65F is super comfortable, but has a few fit issues.

    Notably:
The band seems very big-not to say that it isn't TTS. This isn't a huge bother to me as it once was. It isn't flimsy or cheap; it is great quality as Comexim always provides. It doesn't feel like the band isn't even there, it isn't riding up, and it doesn't feel like thin elastic or anything like that. It is simply that I probably need a 60 band. Or could ... at least use one.

I know your support comes from the band, and I can stick my entire hand under it, so it's not the most supportive thing for me. However, my boobs have lost most of their weight, so I don't find it terribly problematic.
I guess this is a good sign for my 60F on the way, which I bought after being offered, because I suspected that it might fit better in both band and cup.

Not a super good sign for my 65E's on their way from Comexim, but, I suppose I can always re-sell and re-order if I got bands that were too big. I'm also not sure if this is something specific to the Ingrid. We shall see.

The cups are another thing. Lately I haven't been wearing cups to cover my tail of spence.
This could be why I can wear 2 cup sizes down as opposed to just 1, after not losing as much weight as should result in 2 whole cups. My previous bras in 65G and 30E always covered my TOS. My boobs fit well in those; regardless of the fact that they also covered the TOS, they had no issues with gaping, and I had more upper tissue than I do now.
Now I feel like my boobs are just floating around in cups that cover both my boob and TOS. They don't follow the same lines and curves, and my tail of spence goes up much higher than my boobs. Trying to cover both just does not work since losing so much upper tissue.

If I try to have a bra cover my tail of spence, the bra ends up too high and deep on top for my boobs, which makes them float a little. This has been a HUGE issue with my EM bras, which is why I am currently sticking to small CH bras.

This means I either need a true half cup bra in 65F/60G, or to try out a 65E/60F, which is what I've decided on. However, the wires on smaller bras fit me MUCH better and result in a much nicer shape.
So, I don't care. I believe TOS is breast tissue, but it doesn't work inside of my cups anymore, and I don't honestly think it needs to be there. It also isn't so pronounced on myself that I mind it much.

Anyway, more on the actual Ingrid in an update! Will leave a link here and on my 60F https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Edit:cups are almost definitely lowered https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

My TOS is well pronounced and drives me batty, but I agree it doesn't belong in a bra. If I found a bra to cover it, it would be in my armpits and the cups would be huge on top. I've lost ~10 lbs lately and only maybe half a cup size, but ALL of my upper fullness. So now most of my bras are too tall, including all my Comexim plunges and even my CK Bardot :-( I still swim around in the plunges because it'll be a cold day in hell before I get rid of my poison ivy or brigitte, but the half cups' height is much better on me.

    • lcl0706 Aw, I'm sorry :( I hate it when you get a good fit and then gain or lose a few pounds and it just throws everything off Dx

Haha I feel the same about my Geisha! Luckily that is still available to order though. Will probably be replaced once I am positive what it is I really need, but honestly if it ever sold out I'd keep the 65F xD

Offhand, do you know the difference between cup height in the PL and HC cuts?
I ordered one HC and have another HC Joy Longline coming in the next few months, so I'm excited to see how those compare to the PL's. It's a shame because I really love the PL shape, but if I find out that's more of my problem than size then I'll be likely just be reordering everything in a halfcup cut.

I have a 60H Green Velvet 3HC and had a 60H Green Velvet PL. The cup height along the center seam was .25" taller in the PL than the 3HC. The PL will just get taller towards the strap while the 3HC stays close to the same.

    • jlcl119 Thanks for the info! ^_^
The 3HC actually sounds like exactly what I need then. All of my bras keep gaping near the strap area Dx

I'll definitely give them a try if the ones I ordered don't work. Probably should have just tried one or two out first to compare, but it appears that I am very impatient/impulsive where bras are concerned xD
But this gives me a lot of hope about the Yoko that I ordered. :)

    75HH

    Fits

Yay, my first Comexim and it fits!!!

Where my other bras-that-fit are either cute or okay looking, this is the first bra I've bought because I loved the look. And let me tell you, it doesn't dissapoint in real life! I just love the vintagy color and feel of the floral print.

Shape wise there is some gravity defying sh*t going on right here. This bra provides TONS of lift, and almost manages to give me cleavage, which is impressive with my super wide set boobs. My husband says it's the perkiest he's ever seen the girls.

The 75 band is tighter than any UK 32s I own, and ... I'll probably wear it with an extender for a while. The HH cup is just right for me, so I guess this 75HH is comparable to a UK 32FF or G. I ordered a 70HH as well, but that one is way to tight in both the band and cups, so I'll list it.

I actually find this bra less centering than my Cleos, which is surprising given Comexim's reputation, but it certainly beats my Cleos in the lift departement.

I have 2 minor issues still.
1: the top of the cups is just a tad closed for me.
    2. the padding right above the horizontal seam is a bit thicker than the seam itself, which gives a slight quad boob illusion under tight tops. I'm going to try to flatten the padding a bit to make this less noticable.

However, I love the bra too much to return it over these issues!

That looks really great on you! I love Ingrid, I hope they keep making it because I want to have one always.

About your issue #2. Mine is the same way, ALL of my Comexims are like that. I don't really let it bother me much, but if you're able to flatten it a bit please follow-up on how!

    • Will do! I'll make an alteration update if I manage to fix it. I'm going gently steam press it I think...

This looks fabulous on you. And definitely confirms you are narrow rooted and projected. Ingrid is a unique bra indeed. Congrats!

      Such a pretty bra!
Issue #2 that you listed is actually one of the reasons I'm selling my Comexim. It makes it look like I'm half hanging out of the bra. Argh. I wish they'd fix that!

    • lcl0706 you are so right! When I started this bra quest I thought I was shallow & wide rooted, turns out I was completely wrong there ;-).

@_veritas I am pretty sure this issue should be fixable, will let you know if I get it dobe.

@bonjourhi they have a little american flag on their site, upper right corner. Click it and the english version of the site appears! This modrl is supposed to be a plunge, but I agree the cups are too tall to really get that cleavage going, for me and my short boobs at least, I've seen others get spectacular cleavage in Comexim plunges. I guess it depends on your shape.

Charlotteke I did the exact same thing and it took me a while and some wonderful assistance from this community to get it figured out. Yay for being able to wear Comexim - they're the best I've found yet for our shape :)

    • lcl0706 It's not yet perfect, but very close. I may want to address the closed on top issue in the future, perhaps there is an alteration that fixes that, but I'm not sure yet which one.

I also have 2 Ewa plunges on the way as well, very interested to see how those work out.

    80J

    Fits

Since buying my first Comexim bra a little over a year ago, I’ve become a convert and wear these bras almost exclusively. The first bras I bought were 80HH, but I have realized that these are actually a little small and while initially comfortable, start to feel tight as I wear them. I ordered this and another bra from a fellow Bratabase member to see how I like the 80J fit and it does work much better for me. I have had this bra since last summer but am just getting around to reviewing it.
The bra was ordered with reduced cup height and altered straps. This bra ... works well with my FOB, centre full, soft breasts. Even with the plunge style I don’t have the sensation that I am falling out of the cup. I do get some very mild quadding and have some wrinkles at the bottom of the cup. If I were to order again, I would request a deeper cup at the wire for more immediate projection and I think this would resolve the minor fit issues I have. Overall I like this bra and find it comfortable.

I'm a huge fan of Comexim bras too. They are SO comfortable and are great quality. Plus, it's a huge bonus that they do alterations for free and have cheap shipping. Glad this works for you.
