  1. This was my first attempt to order from Comexim with alterations: I asked to shorten and widen the gore by 2cm and to add cookie pockets. On the downside, it arrived without any alterations at all, so instead of the soft fabric lining used for cookie pockets it’s bare seams inside. On the plus side, my shape ended up changing within the next six months anyway, so the tall narrow gore worked out in my favor. The straps are also really cute and high quality, it’s a beautiful bra with blush lace overlay and is probably the most feminine thing I own.

    Fits

Thanks to a review by A Tale of Two Boobs, I learned that Comexim has two different plunge cuts, though they are not explicitly marked on the website. While most of their padded plunge are the "Standard Plunge" cut, they have a few styles that have a lowered gore and shallower cup. Ginger is one of these "Low Plunge" styles, and since it was very affordable and pretty, I decided to add it to my recent order to compare the two plunge fits.

I ordered the same size as in the Standard Plunge to compare the fits side by side, and I decided to skip alterations for ... this first order although I was a little concerned about the cup height. It turns out that this style measures about .5 cm lower with a similarly lowered gore compared to the Standard Plunge. While the band happens to measure exactly the same as all the other bras in my order at 54 cm, I could tell immediately that the reduced cup depth made a big difference in the fit. With the band hooked normally, the band felt significantly tighter than my other bras in the Standard Plunge cut. Although the cups combined are 1 cm shallower in this style, it had the effect of making the band fit 1 cm tighter, which resulted in the wires feeling more noticeable on my body.

In order to solve this, I added one hook to the band via an extender, which ends up adding about 2 cm to the band. This improves the fit, though I probably would not size up to a 65 band as the natural stretching with wear should solve this issue. The only difference in the fit of this bra is that the shallower cups end up visually giving the appearance of a larger, flatter cup rather than the more rounded shape the Standard Plunge give me, despite this cup height being a bit shorter. Though I feel like I could really wear either cut, I think that ideally I would need to lower the cup height and move in the straps on this style as well. The Standard Plunge seems to be slightly more flattering on my shape, though it will take some more wear testing to conclusively make up my mind on the fits.

The only thing other than the cup height that I don't love about this fit are the overlapping wires at the gore. I find overlapping wires to be a bit unstable on my body, because although my breasts are right next to each other with no gap, my splayed roots work better with standard gores of about 1"/2.5 cm. This gore is extremely narrow, about half of the width I am used to, so it takes some extra positioning on my body to sit properly.

Stylistically, Ginger really reminds me of the Ewa M Perlowy that I picked up very recently. Both are plunge cuts in beige with floral lace, both have floral patterns of shiny blossoms on open mesh, both have a double layered lace wing, are both are trimmed with tonal beige ribbons. The Comexim lace is smaller scale and simpler in design compared to the more intricate lace and trims on the Ewa. However, I prefer the Comexim cut by far, and the firm wings are definitely preferable in this style. While Ginger is a little less fancy in terms of construction and details than Perlowy, it is a much better fit on me. Something about this rounded Comexim cup shape really suits me better.

I think I may reorder the Ginger and ask for the Standard Plunge cut with the modifications I am planning to request on all future bras-- cup height lowered 1.5 cm and strap placement moved in 1 cm. It's such a pretty basic bra that I'd love for it to be a perfect fit!

Ordered directly from Comexim in size 55HH (custom size) and asked to the straps to be moved in 2cm.

This is a great bra for my narrow/tall roots, even, center full, projected boobs. The wires sit right in my IMF with no extra space even on the sides. The bad is a smidge tight, but totally wearable with an extender. The core is about 2cm lower than my other Comexim plunges. Requesting the straps moved in seems to have made the bra a little too closed on top for me, which creates a very flat upper profile and quads a little when I inhale. Other than that, it's a really comfortable bra.

This bra also gives a flatter shape than my Scottie or Diana plunge. The fabric is gorgeous and construction impeccable, as always.

  4. Was the perfect "nude" bra with projection when I was 116 lbs, now it's too small and gives me flatten east-west boobs. Sad, I find this bra so beautiful!! Band has stretched but was so tight at once point I needed an extender, so it's fine now. Wires have stretched, so empty space at the sides. Shallow at the bottom so a bit empty.
Another bra that I thought I wrote a review for and took pictures for when I first got it, but I guess not!

I wish this worked but I quad too much due to both too small and shallow cups. A size up might help as the cups and wires are fairly short on me right now.

I bought this bra with some wear and the band is on the larger side for a 60H. Not sure if they run large or if it stretched over time. It is comfy on me as a regular 30E wearer except for the too small cups.

The biggest thing with this bra is size up in the band. This bra runs at least as tight or tighter than any 60 Comexim band. Combining this with soft Comexim wires the cups very easily end up extremely shallow.

Shape wise, I would say this would be ideal for and even shaped person with average to slightly shallow projection (if you are ok with a snug but not tight band). Although it works well enough for me and I'm FOB and slightly projection. Its not a perfect fit as I get slight collapsing in the bottom of the cups (which is almost every bra for me). However, it is a great nude on me and the plunge is low enough it works on most V neck tees I own.

Overall it is a beautiful and comfy bra that provides a nice shape. However, it doesn't draw the bust forward like most polish bras.

This is a beautiful bra that fits pretty well. I got it here off Bratabase and am happy with my purchase. It looks just like new. This bra is very lightly padded and while it is not overly soft, it is not rough or scratchy either. I think it is close enough to my skin colour to function like a nude bra. I have a bit of quadding on my larger side, but not severe. I don't think this is a perfect bra for my shape (short, narrow roots, FOB round, low breasts), but it works and looks pretty good. It is a nice, snug fit and I have zero top gaping, which I usually get with plunges. The cups are slightly smaller than Comexim Adore and Rita plunges in 28FF, which is interesting. Although it is a 30 band, it fits more like a 28 (yay!).

  8. I really love the appearance of this bra, but it's definitely too small. The band fits without the cups in the way, so it's just too small/shallow. I was hoping to get away with it, and it's actually pretty comfortable for a short time, but after a while the cups start to get pushed down and it makes the band feel too tight. Would love to get this bra in a size that fits me, but I'm not really sure what that would be.

This is so pretty! I love how the bra is covered in lace all over. I kind of missed lacy bras when I started wearing fuller-bust bras. Ginger is composed of beige fabric overlaid by white lace and decorated with brown bows. Straps are the same beige ones used for Ingrid. I like how the color looks on my skin (although it’s a bit too pale to be nude) and I think it would work well on many skin tones.

Ginger is Comexim’s “deep plunge” cut, which is slightly more wide and shallow than their standard plunges. My breasts are projected and narrow but not too extremely so, and ... my standard Comexim plunges seem to have some empty space at the apex, so I thought that I could get away with the shape. Unfortunately, there’s pretty bad bulging near the center gore. It’s worse in reality than what it looks like in the pictures. It still doesn’t show under a shirt, though. Ginger doesn’t seem capable of handling center fullness very well. I’m sad because I would love the super low gore! Not sure if sizing up would help here.

Despite the quadding, Ginger felt pretty comfortable for the short time I’ve tried it. The band has 3x3 hooks and it fits nice and snug. The cups are very lightly padded. The edges of the cups are very smooth and I think that it would function well as a t-shirt bra. I would recommend Ginger for someone with slightly wider-set or shallow breasts looking for a great cleavage and something pretty and practical.
