    65HH

    Fits

After I made the mistake of ordering the Ingrid and the Georgia in a 65H, I went to re-order the both of them and, since I was more confident that the 65HH would fit, looked for another bra to add to my cart. I found the Ginger and was very intrigued. The picture made it look like it had a slightly lower gore than the other plunges (something I've been looking for) and the little old lady in me adores little lacy things. So I ordered it--and I'm so, so glad that I did.

The Ginger does indeed have a low gore: it's only 1.75 inches tall. I haven't ... encountered a gore that low in a long, long time, as it seems that most bras in my size range and with my level of projection have high gores in order to hold everything in. My breasts are decently firm and so I don't need as much to be held in in the middle, and in addition to that I've got close-set breasts and don't like it when gores poke at my breast tissue (my one complaint about my beloved Marcies).

So I'm already raving about the plunge construction (which looks great, by the way--I haven't had this much breast exposed in a long time, either), but the general construction of the bra is lovely, too. The cups are well-constructed and lift my breasts nicely. The inside of the cups is soft and lovely. I have sensitive skin that can't always handle lace on my bras, and the Ginger doesn't aggravate my skin at all. Like all my other Comexim bras, the cups are nicely narrow and the straps don't irritate my armpits.

The Ginger is the widest and shallowest of the Comexim bras that I have tried, but honestly, that's not saying much. The other bras have been very narrow and very nicely projected, and the Ginger is only a fraction of an inch wider and shallower. I think that it perhaps helps a tiny bit, even, with the cleavage-y cut. The other thing I've noticed is that all of the Comexim cups I've encountered thus far have been pliable but pretty sturdy, and the Ginger is a tad less stiff than the others. Still not flimsy, but a little different and something to keep in mind. That also comes into play with the cup construction--of all my Comexim bras, the Ginger is the most forgiving at the top edge of the cup, very good if you have any trouble with the tops of the cups coming in too quickly.

Gorgeous bra which makes me feel equally gorgeous. I highly recommend it.

    • I've been considering Ginger - thanks for the review! I was wondering if there is any chance you are interested in selling? Just thought I would throw that out there!

Holy moly this bra is pretty. Beige bras never looked so good.
    That being said, I'm a sad kitty 'cause it doesn't fit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Band: could barely get it to stretch to 30". Needed 3 full additional hooks on an extender to get it on. Asked for the 2x3 hook closure to be replaced with a 3x3 so that's great, if only I could get it on.
Cups: width measures a little big but that's because of the deep plunge so it feels fine on but the cups arent big enough. I've got a decent amount of quad. Possibly because this bra stopped at 75H and I requested a larger size so the grading might be off or it might just run small.
    Gore is super low

lol @ valley girl. That's a really apt description.
Ginger looks really nice on your skin, but your poor girls look trapped!

I also 100% agree with your assessment. My mom ordered this in a 70G and I tried it on just for funsies. It fit (smashingly, haha) and I'm closer to 60/65. I was so squished up I had chin cleavage.

    • 2

Lol yeah trapped is an adequate description. It's funny because it's not only shallower, it's also just definitely smaller. If it wasn't so beautiful I'd list it, but I'm in love with the design (and the practicality).

    • 2

I'd bet you they'd make you one using the pattern from their other plunges if you ask.

    • 2

Hmmm... maybe. I'm going to try to wear it a few times and see how it feels. If it's too bad I'll have to do that.

  4. I'm very happy with this bra. I custom ordered this in 55HH with 3 hooks and slightly reduced cups (Anna said it can only be reduced somewhat). The fit is pretty much perfect. I am quadboobing slightly I think, but it doesn't really cut in and looks acceptable under shirts. I went with 55HH and reduced cups instead of normal 55H because I didn't want to risk the wires being to narrow like before when I tried 55H - Comexim » Scarlet Biustonosz (291) . But I think I could have gotten away without the reduction in cup height since my ... roots are tall and its slightly small.
The band is a true 26 band and fits me perfectly. It is not too tight, nor too loose. It is very thick, so it really hides my back fat around the armpit area and the slightly wider wires help encompass that tissue. The wires are very very flexible, so they are not that supportive (so if you have heavy breasts then this bra would not suit you in this size)- but surprisingly they do not warp on me because the band is perfect.
The gore on this bra is somehow taller than the same bras of this style with larger cups? I have looked at other measurements for this in bras available but they have lower gores than mine. I guess I'm a little disappointed https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> I was hoping for something like 1.5 inches tall so I could get better cleavage, but a 2 inch gore does not hurt me since my breasts are large enough to accommodate this.
This bra was super affordable and pretty much custom made, so I quite like it, but compared to Ewa Michalak, I would say the bra sort of flattens me in the profile. The cups are quite shallow and overall I look flat from the side compared to any of the EM cuts I've tried.

    • That's a gorgeous bra! If you had the opportunity, would you have gone with a larger cup size or do you think it would have been too wide or too deep? I'm curious because I have some custom Comexims coming my way as well. :O

    • Hmmm.. I'm not really sure. I would probably just get 55HH with regular cups since I know reduced cups fit a little smaller. Also Ginger is a different cut than their regular 'plunges'. It is slightly wider and shallower and already comes with a low gore.

    • We wear the same comexim size but for me it's EM all the way, the comexim bands are too lose even in 55 and the cups cut in on the top and give me pancake boobs. I need the projection that EM gives and the slightly more open on top cuts.

While I had hoped this would be as supportive as my 40M - Wellfitting » Liftsational Classic Plunge, unfortunately at this point my center tissue is more soft and falls into the center too much. The band is strangely cut- much more room on top of the band than on bottom, which is not how I need my bands. I took a dart at the top of the band on each side and that helped but it’s looser than I expected too and I need to wear the band on the tightest hook. All in all not what I hoped for, which is sad because is very comfortable!

So, I was pretty sure I had ordered this as a three-part half-up, but received a plunge instead. I should have returned it to Comexim but didn't feel like dealing with the return shipping (so, it'll be listed on here shortly for anyone interested!). I didn't personally love the lace pattern, but thought the olive bow decorations were cute. As a full-on-bottom splayed lady, I knew the plunge was unlikely to be a good fit based on shape and this confirmed it for me, though the high quality is what I've come to expect from Comexim. I unfortunately can't comment on fit relative to other plunges or Comexim plunges as this is the only one I've tried since starting my ABTF journey.

After doing a few measurements, this bra actually has a 6 inch wide cup. GULP! It's also quite shallow, which explains the enormous quad. Like this is a very very bad quad. The bra itself is very pretty too, which makes me all the more sad. The wires are not "U" shaped but are..well, almost like a very very flat curve, if that makes sense. This bra is not uncomfortable in the wire arena, either (probably due to soft wires). Lowest gore of all Comexims yet. I suppose it basically runs a cup size small?

After waiting over two months for my Comexims, they finally arrived! (To my parents address, but that's another story). The band length is perfect! I'm using the first hook with no problems. It's not very stretchy at all; what you see is essentially what you get, which is a good thing in my book. I based my size off of multiple charts and bra bloggers that have similar measurements to me, and it was pretty spot on for just an educated guess. I probably could've done with a cup size up in the Ginger because while the cups don't *really* cut in at ... the top, if I take a deep breath or pull my shoulders way back, they do. I would say if you're in doubt, go a cup size up in this style. It doesn't really pose a problem though as I wore it all day at work the other day under a t-shirt and didn't notice any unsightly quadboob https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I do get a fair amount of orange in a glass, somewhat reminiscent of my Marks & Spencer bra that I no longer wear. I wore the Ginger for about 8 or 9 hours the first time I wore it, and did have red itchy marks under my boobs where the bottom of the wires sat. :'( I think I'll just have to be aware of that in the future and not wear it for so long. I also think that it has to be in part due to the plunge style, as the M&S bra that I referenced earlier gave me the same issue and was a plunge. The cup material also scratched where my arm joins my shoulder near my armpit a little bit when I was moving around; I'm hoping this will soften up with a few wears and maybe a wash or two.
The fabric and foam is very very lightweight. I can't tell if it is intentional, or if it just cheap. There is a quiet sort of paper rustling sound sometimes which I find odd (when moving around, putting it on, etc.).
Despite that, the colour is a perfect and oh-so-pretty nude for me! I'm basically as white as a sheet of paper and the colour is a great nude for me-- just something to keep in mind if you have any sort of colour to your skin, this probably won't work as a nude for you. (Not that that's what it's exclusively for; it's still super gorgeous). The wires aren't as narrow as I thought they might be, since I'd heard a lot of people saying Comexim's wires were about as narrow as you could get. They are still narrow and don't cover as much no-tissue area as other bras I have, but then again I have super narrow roots (0 tissue under my arms). It's not a problem, just an observation https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

PS I ordered this bra with 3 hooks & eyes and reduced cups.

It feels and fits fine: the cup lacks a tiny bit of depth and the wire on the side is a bit low, likely because I could have sizes up (I am in between sizes in comexim), the gore is also a bit too narrow but I don't mind and it is normal with comexim bras. The narrowness fits though, maybe a tad narrow on my bigger side where I could have sized up. Also, the ginger is a perfect nude for us pale (ginger...?) humans! Tip: the organic cotton brief from organic basics in the shade 'oak' is a perfect match

Physics. Center full, close-set breasts generate a downward force into a wire at a different location on the wire curve than less center-full breasts. This can cause a bra designed for less center-full breasts to dig in.

The wire issues moved me swiftly to the wireless bra community. However, finding a cup large enough for my breasts put me in 34" and 36" bands on a 28" under bust. Very little support. There are times I need a supportive bra "hug."

How I have missed Comexim's wide, supportive straps, and supportive bands! Comexim makes my favorite bras: the quality of their material selections is excellent.

I've purchased 30+ Comexim bras ... trying to identify one that fits without pushing out of my IMF and biting in as well as possessing a narrow, low gore. I started at a 60HH and went up to a 60M as well as trying 70 and 65 models. Repeatedly, I had the same problem: gore base too wide, not enough center projection, and the wire bit under my most projected breasts.

The deep plunge gore is low enough, but the curve of plunge wires creates a too wide gore base for my center-full breasts. However, Comexim graciously provides alterations. And, narrowing the gore base is one of them.

This cut is minimizing because there isn't as much apex projection as I need. The 65HH creates compression and holds the girls close to my chest. Also, a bit of quadding is present near the inner, top of the cup. But, it is tolerable.

This bra has been owned by three people, shows some signs of wear on the fasteners, but remains especially supportive and firm. This is a testament to Comexim's quality. Impressive.
