    85J

    Fits

Finally!! A perfectly (well... the strap position is a little bit wide and the band big though, at least the cups are) fitting comexim bra!!!!!!

I asked the deeper cups for both Elena and Rose but only this has been done. So, this is combination of 85J and 85K. The wires are the most narrowest among all of my other comexim bras and the cups are as deep as others in size of 75M/80L/85K. I wish I asked the moved in straps only.

One thing I don't like is the band size inconsistency. I have an Elena 2hc in size 85K and it stretches out to about 36"because of the double layered mesh used on the bands. This elena 3hc in size '85'J does to almost 40" and the bands are made of one layered mesh. So I need to alter the bands now. Sigh. Anyway, at least the cups fit.

And I like the fabric and details. It still looks solid and well matched with my skin tone.

    • If you get a smaller band you won't need to move the straps in because they will be narrower set. At least that's what I've found in my Comexims/Wellfitting bras.

    • Wonderful!! Finally!!

cupandahalf That could be. So I am thinking to alter the bands near the hooks not the armfit by using a 5 hook-extender(cutting and replacing), hoping it will work. Btw the strap set is not too wide to wear, similar to Panache bra's. If the altering doesn't work, I can be still bear it. Thanks :)

@Love4pollinators Thanks! Finally! It will be easier for me to order next comexims lol.

    • I've done that too with my Comexims! Happy altering!

    Hasn't set fit

This is my 5th Comexim bra and 2nd Elena 3HC.

I have tried several sizes. When I wore a 70HH size, top of cup is fit but I need more bottom volume. When 70J, bottom of cup is OK but there is empty space in cup top. None of the sizes fit me. It is because my highly short and bottom projected breast. Anyone who has a same problem like me knows how the lack of cup bottom volume makes people uncomfortable.

I did a search to solve this problem and I found one reviewer who requested 'deeper cup option'. I decided that I should try it. I ordered 70HH ... ELENA 3HC bra and asked 2cm deeper cups at the bottom of the cups, near the wires.

And result...? It is a 70HH bra that has 70J cup bottom volume! And fits me!

I took a picture of this bra with my old Elena 3hc 70HH. Beige one is my old Elena 3hc 70hh without deeper cup option. Black one is my new Elena 3hc 70HH with deeper cup. Can you see a difference?

    Here are the measurement.
Depth in bottom : bra with deeper cup is 23cm, bra without deeper cup is 21cm
Depth in top : bra with deeper cup is 23cm, bra without is 22.5cm

    ======
My type : 30FF/G UK, short, narrow to average root, FOB, projected especially bottom

    Alternation :
    1. Made in a 3HC cut 2. Reduced cup height 3. Straps moved in 2cm 4. Cookie pockets added 5. Overlapped gore/ narrow gore
    PLUS,
    6. 2cm deeper cups especially at the bottom of the cups, near the wires

      Love it! Great fit.

    • 1

This is amazing. Do you think they made the entire cup deeper rather than just the bottom? It's kind of hard to tell by the photo. I'm trying to get them to do a plunge with a deeper cup because I have the same problem. Did you order the alteration in English?

    • 2

It is hard to say. But this is measurement.
Depth in bottom : black is 23cm, beige is 21cm
Depth in top : black is 23cm, beige is 22.5cm

Definitely black one is a little bigger overall . But it is smaller than 70J overall(I also have 70J size)

And I used only English when ordered.

    • Thank you for sharing, May_June! I have the same fit issue with Comexim, too. Perhaps I will order again with the alterations you specified :-)

    • 1

So that might have been me May_June , or FoxTaylor who posted about Comexim making bras with specific depth on request (custom order). I had Zathiya Lingerie do the asking for me, and I am sure she did it in English, but every bra had the requested 25cm depth across the apex, which resulted in them being deep enough at the wire but not too big at the top. I did not ask for any other alterations which might have made the cup smaller (like straps moved in or reuced cup). They did come with overlapping gore and cookie pockets, which I did not ask for. Previously I have not been able to wear Comexim because they are too shallow - unless I ordered a much too big size and added a pad somewhere to push up and fill in the empty top. Yes, they will do it!

This bra is perfection. If you're after a padded, seamless, pale "nude" t-shirt bra option, but don't get along well with a majority of traditional moulded bras, Elena is a great alternative. It's soft, comfortable, totally smooth and invisible under sheer and light-colored tops. Best of all, it gives a gorgeous rounded, subtly minimized profile and tasteful cakes on a plate cleavage. The band fits just a bit firmer than my other 65J 3HCs. It's not enough to size up in my case, but something to consider if you're between band sizes.

**EDIT AGAIN: I just took this bra off and the wires actually match up to my roots perfectly! I've never ever had this happen before. I'm definitely keeping this bra.**
**EDIT: The band is too tight. I think this affects the cup width as well as making the wires press hard against my ribs. I am planning to get an extender to ameliorate this until it stretches out**
I got this in a swap for my evil Yoko. My main reason for swapping my Comexim Yoko was, besides a shape mismatch, wideset straps made to drive me crazy. This bra? Still a teeny shape mismatch, but my armpits are ... so happy. First impressions, deep narrow cups. Second impression? Tight band but harassment free straps! Let's start with the band, which is very firm. It barely stretches tight enough but it's nice and firm and totally manageable. I don't mind. There's also only 2 hooks in this size, unlike the 3 in Yoko which was a cup smaller. The straps are very armpit free, maybe a little stretchy but not too bad. They're a nice width and I do believe are the same as are on Yoko's. I love the little tuxedo bows. The wires are SO NARROW and so awesome. The bad though? They're still too wide! When I took the bra off, I noticed that the wire marks appear to be in almost the same spot as my 5.5 inch wires end up. It doesn't look like the wires stretched that much when I stretched the band so I have no idea what is happening there. Can anyone help? Moving on, the wires are nice and short. I'm very appreciate of this fact at my very diminutive height. The gore on this one is a very nice tack, unlike the Yoko. It's also not too high, maybe a little stabby but nothing I can't live with. The cups themselves give a nice shape if you don't really look too too hard. I get a really weird, angle-y, flattish shape from some angles but I'm sure I'll be the only one to notice. Other than that, basketball boobs. Seriously. I don't think my boobs have ever been this round. They're almost minimized from the side though. It's more of an hourglass from the front look with your boobs not out of your arms. Does that make sense? I think the cups might be a little too small, you can see some cutting in in certain angles. It's not too noticeable under clothes and my period's coming up so that's working all kinds of voodoo on them. I think the next size up might work better but this size is totally manageable. Not very cleavagey but my boobs are difficult that way. Again, disclaimer, those bulges on the side? Not sure what they are, they don't stay in the cup, I've given up with them. Maybe the next size up would help and if I get the chance I'll try it out. For now, it's nice to have a nice neutral bra for once. Comexim has knocked it out of the park with the 3hc, and if I do order another bra direct, I think I'll only order this style.

Maybe try it with a hook or 2 of an extender and see if that helps with the wire width a bit, they could be distorting so little it's not really easy to see. Glad it mostly works for you, it does look great on you though. Not sure about what is going on with the bottom of the cup, not sure if it did the same on me or not, I didn't try it on long enough to notice.

    • 2

Thanks! It's super comfy. Next time I order something on Amazon I'll throw in a bra extender. I'm so happy it a) works and b) the wires are so SHORT. After this one I can't believe I put up with the shape mismatch of Yoko for so long. I just wanted it to work so bad because it was so cute.

    Didn't fit

This bra fits close to a 32FF UK.

Since the Elena is not available in a 75HH on their site, I chose a 75H, then asked for a 75HH 3HC in the comments section during checkout.

This bra works well for my fairly narrow and short roots, and does have enough immediate depth/projection. I do get some gapping on my smaller side.

Unfortunately I have issues with the bottom of the band cutting into me pretty painfully after several hours of wear. I have this issue even if I use an extender, so I don't believe the band is too tight. I suspect this issue may be caused by poor posture, or perhaps my ribcage doesn't work well with the band tension.

    • I have 75K - Comexim ยป Sonia Half Cup (406) that cuts into me that way on my puffy days, and I've found it helps tremendously to hook the clasps unevenly to make them tighter at the top. Maybe that will help you?

How do you like the materials, etc? I have a custom plunge Elena on its way to me as well so I'm very interested. :)

    • 1

eryoptical I had totally forgotten about trying to hook them unevenly, thank you!

It's a fairly simple bra, but it's very well made, IMO. I don't think it's the softest thing in the world, but that's doesn't really bother me.

I am currently a 32FF UK. I sized up one cup from my UK size with this bra, but unfortunately it runs a full band size small, and about a half cup small, so it fits more like a 30FF/30G. I probably need this in a 75HH.

I ordered this bra directly from Comexim on April 5, it shipped on April 28, and I received it on May 5.

    • I think their cups step up in smaller steps than most bras, so a cup up is not as big a change?

    • dbmamaz They do - Comexim uses EU sizing (with HH instead of I), which goes by 2cm increments instead of 1" increments.

This bra is plain, but it feels so comfortable and gives a nice round shape. I do not have the cookies with the bra so I don't know what things would look like with cookies. The band is a tiny bit loose for me and a 60 would probably be better. I have a little quad boob on my bigger side, but the bra is so comfortable, I can look past that.

    Didn't fit

I got this bra because my 55H Comexim Basic Plunge is one of my best fitting bras, but I've been having a bit of minor quadding recently. I was hoping a 3HC would be more open on top, especially in a larger size. Unfortunately, the Elena is actually shorter and more closed on top, so I have even more quadding. Everything else about this bra is great: the band is fairly snug with 4 columns of hooks, the wires are the perfect width for me, and the straps are just close enough. This bra is very pretty and the quadding isn't that noticeable, so I'll probably wear it ... a few more times before deciding whether or not I want to keep it.

UPDATE: It's been about two months and I still haven't really worn the Elena. Recently, I've been quadding out of my plunge even more. I know I should probably get rid of both of them and try a larger size, but I just can't bring myself to do it. The fit of the Elena is passable, but the material is kind of scratchy and I'm so afraid of taking the tag off. Maybe one of these days I'll make up my mind.

UPDATE 4/28/17: I tried it on again this morning for the heck of it. Pulled the wires into my IMF and pulled the straps in a little and the fit is so much better. I'm not really sure what happened the first few times I tried this on. I still have some minor quadding because the cups curve in too sharply on top for my tall roots, but it's a lot less noticeable when the straps are in the correct position. I'm wondering if it's related to the fact that the straps have been taken in 2cm.

For my very pale skin, this is a lovely nude. Because I requested asymmetry pockets, the bra is lined in very soft cotton. Additionally, this bra has straps moved inward and overlapping gore wires. The assembly quality is exceptional! Although the 65J Papillon three-part half cup fits, this is slightly less projected than the 65J Papillon. Even with an extender, the wires are distorting which is likely why it feels more shallow than the Papillon. Considering I need all the projection I can find, I am selling and plan to order this very versatile bra in a 65K three-part half cup. This will be a staple in my bradrobe because of the exceptional support and perfectly round shape it creates. These Comexim three-part half cups are perfect for my short-rooted, projected breasts.

For those needing more or less immediate projection in Comexim/AP 3HC, here is a list:

I bought the same bra in 65J and 70J, but without the straps moved in or the overlapping gore-- silly me, I thought I could get away with an otherwise unaltered 3HC!

I'll work on posting measurements and such tonight. Spoilers: the 65J is too tight in the band and has noticeable quadding, mostly near the gore. The 70J seems better, but definitely feels like it would have been even better with the straps moved in.

    • 1

Sigh. :-( :-( I received my final unaltered bras 3/22/16: wires sit on my breast tissue around the gore. Oh how it burns for hours after I remove the "torture device." ;-) I won't omit my list of alterations ever again.
