    60Q

    Fits

    Chevron 60Q (28L)

This is my 4th attempt at Chevron for Comexim. I really like the colors and pattern. I have previously tried Chevron in 65M, 65N, and 60P, and you can see those reviews for specifics, but I will cover a bit of the technical details in comparison here in this review.

The Chevron is a padded standard plunge bra with light foam padded cups but no removable cookies or cookie pockets. The print is a lovely Chevron zigzag pattern of purple, green, blue, and pink, with solid black on the top of the cups. Since Comexim doesn’t stock the 60Q label, I requested that they put the ... UK equivalent as I want labels on my bras, so this one has a 28L label instead of the 60Q even though it was purchased directly from Comexim.

    Now on to the technicals!

All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22.5” flat and stretches to a max of 28”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.75”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 16”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height is 9.25”, with the gore being 0.5” wide and 4.25” tall. The cup width is 6”. Yes, 6”! I did not request the 6” wires for the first time in my 60Q attempts, and I actually ended up getting them this time, go figure. Woohoo!

I requested my gore to be raised 2cm, and at first I thought it was done, until Sovavosi asked me how much they actually raised it, haha. My Chevron 60P gore was 4.15” high unaltered, so I can say that my gore wasn’t raised as 4.25” is a logical difference for the 60Q.

I also requested the straps to be moved in 2.5cm, and while I cannot say this was the actual distance they were moved in, I can confidently say that they were indeed moved in as this placement is not standard for the 60Q. Based on where they sit on my shoulders, I would guess it was moved in 2cm.

To compare the 60Q to the 60P, 65N, and 65M:
60Q Band 22.5-28” max with 3 hooks/4 rows; Cups 13.75 flat to 16” max stretched, height 9.25”, gore 4.25”, wing 5.25” Straps moved in 2.5cm

60P Band 21.5-30” max with 3hook/4 rows; Cups 12” flat to 14.5” max stretched, height 9”, gore 4.15”, wing 5.25” Straps moved in 2cm

65N Band 22.5-32” max with 3 hook/3 rows; Cups 11.5” flat to 14” max stretched, height 8.5’, gore 3.25”, wing 5.5” no customizations

    65M Band 22.5-31” max with 3 hooks/3rows Cups 11.5” flat to13.5” max stretched, height 8”, gore 3.5”, wing 4.5” no customizations

    As for fit,
Straight out of the box I was convinced the cups were too big, as they really looked huge, but they actual fit nicely. Hello mirror morph & magic boobs, haha.

Strap placement is perfectly fine, but the armpit curve is too straight instead of curving around the arm, causing the arms to push the cups off the breasts at the strap area slightly. This is still wearable as is and not as bad as with Beatrice, and I can lower the curve to prevent this fairly easily, so this is not really an issue.

Aside for the armpit curve, the gore sits 2.5 fingers off my sternum, and while I understand this would technically make this one not a “fit” especially as I would have a decent amount of quadding if I forced a tack, if I can wear this without any pains or quadding regardless of where the gore sits, then it is a good fit.

This one is also comfortable on the tightest hook-set, which is typical for me, so again, not a fit issue in my opinion.

This is the best fitting Comexim attempt in a long time. I don’t get the center spillage or flop out, and my breasts feel secure in the cup even when I lean forward which is very nice. I only wore this for about 5 minutes for a quick assessment, so if my initial fit views change with all day wear, I will give an update.

I am glad that I placed this order with the raised gore request, even if I didn’t get it, as whatever they did was practically perfect for fit. I just hope they can recreate it in the future as I would love to order some more Comexim bras now!!

I was quite nervous, as I placed this order and less than 3 days later it shipped. Yet even with the lightning processing speed, I feel this order was closest to getting a good fit from Comexim, and the first time in a long time that I feel my customizations were honored as requested, for the most part.

This looks like a really good fit besides the armpit. I’m happy for you!

    • 2

“Hello mirror morph & magic boobs, haha.”

      😂

I think that it’s fantastic on you, aside from the armpit curve. I wonder if it can be altered to be a little less material.

    • Thank you both! I am very happy with it, and I can lower that curve fairly easily so it won't be an irritant. :-)

    • 2

Hooray! They're listening! Definitely a win in my opinion. :)

    • 1

Wow that looks great, except for the armpit.

    • 2

      Indeed DerangedDragons19!
      Thank you Sovavosi :-)

    • 1

I'm so happy connecting fondly worked for you :)

    • 1

Awesome, I love this print too! It is great that you are already comfortable lowering the armpit curve, so that you can make this just right for you.

    • 1

veggiechic. A lot of trial and error with the armpit, haha. I used to think it was just too wide set straps, but I realized it's usually more of that damn curve instead of the actual strap placement. The car "jumping the curb" instead of "rounding the corner" thing, you know?

    • 1

MamaPagan if I simply want to move the straps inward for 2cm, what fit impact can I expect, except the comfort of straps not chafing my tail of spence?.. Please advise....

    • 1

Shrisowmya That would depend on the fit you have in their standard (no alterations) cup really. Moving the straps in will get them out of your armpit, but also remove any arm /armpit resistances you may be experiencing as well. If your arms are pushing the cups forward, moving the straps in can end up resulting in the cup being too small when that resistance is eliminated.

The best way to tell would be to put their standard bra on (no customizations) without the straps on. With a proper swoop n scoop, does the breast tissue stay in the cup or does it spill out the top? (You may need to hold the cups up with your fingers lifting where you would ideally have the straps to simulate the strap lift.) If the cups are overflowing without the straps on, you will experience the same once the straps are moved in.

  2. Another bra that I received to try from MamaPagan. This is a standard Comexim in 60P with the straps moved in 2cm and an extra row of eyeloops. The cups fit pretty well, except that they are taller than I would like. The bottom of the cup fits quite shallow and I get some wrinkling, as expected out of a Comexim plunge. My larger breast feels a tiny bit compressed in the cup, but I think this is due to them being more tender as it is about a week out from my period. I am very grateful to her for sending me these to try, as now I know what sizes and modifications to order when I buy from Comexim again.

    75F

    Fits

This is currently my favorite bra. It's pretty without being too feminine, and the construction is high quality. The band stretches in a way that it fits like a glove.

I wasn't sure what size to order, so I took a gamble on 75F. The cups are about 1/4 to 1/2 size too big, depending on the time of the month. I think sizing down would make them too small. I went with 75 instead of a 70 band because reviews said that black bands run small and the 75 measurements seemed closer to my size. The band fits perfectly; hopefully it won't stretch too quickly because I ... love it as is. It is the only bra I've worn that doesn't budge once it's in place.

The gore is super narrow, almost overlapping. And narrow cups, yay! Next time I order a Comexim plunge I may get reduced cup height as these are a little tall on me. They want more apex projection than I have. Combined with being a tad large in the cups, I get some gapping, but it's not a dealbreaker. The shape is lifted and centered (and I think it would be even better with a perfectly-fitting cup).

The chevron fabric covers the diagonal seam that's so pronounced on some Comexim plunges, so I think this makes it more discreet under clothing. Seams still show a little under tight tops.

I still stand by what I said in my Vogue review about avoiding Comexim if you've got soft tissue :/ I don't plan on attempting Comexim again.

But the pattern is so pretty........ Sorry it didn't work for you either. :-/

    • 1

MamaPagan I feel like the colors of this one ended up being more dull in person. I think I like this one better on you :D
Eh, that's alright. I just know to avoid Comexim now ;)

    • 1

Really? I love the pattern, just not the padding.
And I agree, Comexim is not your friend. 😬

    • 1

Haha, it's not my cup of tea is all! I'm glad you like it, albeit the padding part :p
      Yep! It's a no go :)

    • 1

Diversity in preference is a beautiful thing. 💕 It's okay that we don't all want the same patterns and colors. If we all went for the same, everything would sell out and we'd fight over them like a Black Friday morning sale at Walmart. 😬😄😬

    • 1

It could potentially be like a Rennaissance Fair with the huge battle towards the end... I mean. I'm down 🤷

    • 2

You guys are too funny. I like the Chevron too MamaPagan. I have had it in 2 different sizes, and I find it to be very comfortable too.

    • 1

We are here to entertain veggiechic. 😄

And yes a Renaissance Battle arena DerangedDragons19. Very Bra worthy indeed. 😋

    • 1

It’s funny, I am wearing this one today and I love it.

    60P

    Didn't fit

    Chevron in 60P
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Chevron is a padded plunge bra, in a wonderful zig zag multi colored pattern on the lower half of the cups and black on the top. The colors are Blues, Pinks, and Purples. The padding is the standard light foam lining without additional/removable padding. This was my third attempt at Chevron. I ordered it this time in 60P, but also tried it in 65M and 65N, reviewed separately. I love this pattern and the color scheme. The only thing that would have made ... the colors better would have been if it had greens instead of pinks, but the colors do look great together as it is.

The band measures 21.5” to a 30” max stretch. I asked for an extra set of eyes, so my band has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eyes. The 60P is 1” shorter than my 65M & 65N which measured 22.5” to a max 31” & 32”. This shows that the extra row of eyes add for a tighter band and do not lengthen the band, allowing for an extended life of the band as well as an option for those who are between band sizes and need that extra row to get a snug fit when sizing down is too tight.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height is 9”, which was 1/2” taller than my 65N, and 1” taller than my 65M. Wires were 5.875” wide compared to the 65M at 5.75” and oddly the 65N at 6.25”. The center gore sat at 4.15” tall with wires touching but not crossed. This was strange since to date I think all my Comexim bras had crossed wires. The 65M had a center gore height of 3.5” and the 65N was 3.25” tall.

I ordered this 60P with the straps moved in 2cm. This placed them at 10.5” apart, while my 65N is 11” apart.

As for fit at the time it was received, the band was great on the loosest setting which is nice. The straps were at an almost perfect placement. The center gore sat 2 fingers off my sternum, & the cups fit very full with minor quad boob. If I force the gore to tack, I got more quadding obviously.

I also ordered the panties in a Small, which measures 56cm to a max of 95cm. Comexim’s size chart shows their small to be for 85-93cm hips, so these are true to size. The bum side is sheer tulle, which I don’t like as much. I’d prefer solid black or the chevron pattern to match the color scheme of the bra. They were quite comfortable though, and my hubby liked the way they look, so it’s a win.

This bra is so cute! The fabric is soft and smooth. It has little pink bows on the straps and at the gore. It's such a unique pattern; I just love it! Sadly, it didn't fit me. It was purchased directly through Comexim so there are no tags. It's a fun, gorgeous bra!

  9. I bought this bra slightly used so I don't know how much the band may have stretched initially, but I wear it comfortably on the 1st or 2nd of the 4 rows of hooks.
It is not as brightly colored as pictured, but I doubt that it has faded; rather I think the stock photos aren't quite accurate. It's still really cute. Except for the dark color, it is invisible under clothing.
The wings and outside cup height are wonderfully low and the straps aren't set to cut my arms off. Also, the straps are nice and skinny.
    The cups JUST fit.
    Love it.
