    Fits

My shape: large, heavy, narrow rooted, center full, close set, with tons of immediate projection.

I've been wanting this bra since the moment Comexim revealed it, and I was not disappointed! It's even prettier in person, and the pink edging on the top of the cup is particularly fetching. It's pretty without being fussy, which is exactly what I like.

It's comfortable, too, and the band is TTS. It seems like at least on the larger end of the spectrum it's only the bras with lace on the band that you need to order a band size up - I'd have been fine in a 42.

The gore tacks after ... replacing the wires with stronger ones and there's plenty of room at the wire. There isn't quite enough room for my center fullness, which is my hardest area to fit, and that ends up pushing the wires out of my imf. I'm not entirely sure if this is fixable by alteration or not, though I may try narrowing the gore to see if that helps.

It seems like the soft cup Comexims are really my best fit. Something about the soft fabric vs the padding makes the soft cups better suited to my center fullness. Still, I love the look of this one!

    • Can you take pictures of your bras? I would like be to see those patterns on bigger cups. More is more!

    • Sure, cupandahalf! I'll try to get some added tonight or tomorrow.

    • 1

Thank you for the photos: SO much better than Comexim's website. Now, I want all the birds :-) :-)

    • 1

Happy to help, Love4Pollinators! Anything for the bratabase's good, right? ;)

I added pics for my 100HH - Comexim » Angelina 3hc (SS2015) and my 100HH - Comexim » Angel Half Cup, too, in case anyone was curious how those looked in larger cup sizes.

    • 1

Eep! Thanks so much!!! It is so so gorgeous! I have to have it.

    • 1

It looks so cute! I hadn't realised that what I need is a bra with birds :D

    Didn't fit

So this is a custom ordered Comexim Ardea Half Cup in a 65O. I didn't get any alterations done with this one.

Hmm. I'm not really sure where to start with this one. The materials used to make this bra were lovely. They were soft, and they didn't irritate my skin. The bow details were cute. I was a little disappointed in how dull the colors were in real life though. I was expecting more of a vibrant navy blue and pink details, so if you were debating this bra based on the colors of it via the Comexim model's pictures, you're going to be disappointed.

On to the ... fit itself: Yikes.
-Let's start with the straps in relativity to my frame. It's absolutely comical. I'm slender and apparently, tiny (so says my husband). The strap placement is worse than an Ewa bra. I would have to have my straps moved in at least 4 cm to even attempt to fix the glaring problem with the fit itself.
-The cups are cut really short/shallow. Or maybe I'm just pressing that issue because my Ewa bras offer better coverage due to their lace panel added to the top if the cup. I said in the picture review that perhaps Comexim should consider doing something similar in their small band/large cup bras.
-The cups are cut strange regardless. Their padding is geared more towards an Ewa S style thickness, but at the same time, the cut itself is halfway between a plunge and a half cup.
-The wires used were 12inches long, while the length of the cups where the wires were located was 12.5 inches.
    -The gore doesn't tack
-The weight of my breasts almost seem to push the bra band down.
-Lastly, I don't even think my larger side fits into a K/O cup.

Edit to add my ribcage is measuring 28.5inches right now.

    Meh.

Wow. I'm sorry. I don't even know what to say to this, other than I'm sorry you had to spend money on this.

    • 1

Oh my! Yeah this is um, like a shelf bra? Like it belongs on top of a corset.

The side (profile) view looks good. The front looks too shallow, insanely wide, and a bit too short for comfort for sure.

It looks great with your Sofia under it though!! That added support from Sofia makes a big difference but is obviously not practical for daily wear.

I feel a 60 band is really needed, but I am not thinking Comexim wires as they are will provide you with the support you need. A wire switchout may fix that, but won't solve the strap placement issue-which is clearly way too wide for this cup/band combo indeed!

I will give Anna some credit, this does look a bit better than Kim, but isn't an ideal fit for sure. Sorry this one didn't work out for you either. :-(

@Sovavosi We now know the 2HC isn't a better option within our range.... :-(

    • 2

Sovavosi *sigh* I should have just listened to your review, as well as realized the problems I had with Kim. I should have told Anna no haha, but I'm such an optimist sometimes. 🤣 I'm not entirely bummed, since Anna said I could return it if it didn't work out. It's just a final nail in the coffin for me. I can't order from Comexim until they fix their problem with small bands/large cups is all. Maybe they never will, and that's okay. It's hard to cater to us sometimes! I just hope she'll read my review and learn from the pictures and whatnot.

    • 2

MamaPagan Yeah it is haha. There's just a plethora of issues with the bra, really. I enjoy Sofia under it as well, but as you say, it's not practical.

I think you're right. Maybe I do need to just switch back to a 60 band and be done with it.

Oh for sure! The quality is better. The bra itself feels sturdier even. She really tried to fix the cup issue too, I feel. But there's a long way for her to go :)

That's okay. Live and learn. Yeah. I'll have to just skip Comexim I think.

    • 3

You said it beautifully though, as you never know until you try, and those wondering "what ifs" are the worst. I keep doing the same thing, trying Comexim over and over again. The only style I haven't tried are the half cups and the one semi soft.
Some day we shall gather our little group of small band/large cups and take a trip to Poland to offer our breasts to her as models for the size needs. I am thinking it's a scaling issue due to lack of bodies in our range to test them on....

Thank you for testing these waters for us, and providing the measurements and visuals that help guide us all on our bra journeys. I personally am very thankful to you for this.

      That looks.... pretty damn bad.

    • 2

On the plus side this colour goes great with your skin!

    • 1

@mamapagam Absolutely. Then we'll go and see Ewa and try and explain the strap problem too 🤷🤣 And, no problem. I am excited that there were changes compared to the Kim. It's a start really. It seems like Anna is at least trying.

Ah!! I've heard of it, but I didn't realize they made it so easy now! That's awesome!

    • 1

brasaremean Ahaha, yeah. It isn't pretty.

I may have laughed at your second comment. You're right. At least the colors are superb 😊😏

    • 1

Yes, an Ewa visit would be included in that trip for sure!! :-D

I’m in! I’ll start saving up for airfare and oodles of bras!

    • 2

Calluna woohoo!! The more the merrier :)

@veggiechic you bet! I don't mind being a bra guinea pig. I'll do whatever I can to help our busty community out haha. It would be a real shame if we ended up buying bras that didn't work, and we didn't let everyone else know, right? :) I just don't want other people trying something I know doesn't work!

Altered straps, original owner sold because accidentally got duplicates. Ordered with cookie pockets and 1cm extra depth at the wire (unsure if done).

    Didn't fit

This is a very pretty bra and my first custom bra ordered from Comexim. I ordered it with 2 cm increase depth at the bottom for more immediate projection and reduced cup height. It initially looked like a good fit for my FOB, centre full breasts. I didn’t see any obvious fit issues when I first tried it on.

However, although initially comfortable as the day went on I found that the bra felt tight and my breasts felt squeezed even though I initially didn’t see any fit issues. The centre gore gets pushed slightly off centre and tends to lie slightly on my larger breast. As well, I ... noticed when I removed the bra that the wire looked like it was resting on my breast on the outer edge and bottom. There is some collapsing at the bottom of the bra and creasing near the gore. It feels like my breasts are pushing the bra toward the gore and downwards. I find myself adjusting the fit several times through the day.

I want to like this bra more, but do not think I got the sizing right. In Comexim plunges I find the 80J is a better fit for me and am planning on ordering a 3HC bra in 80J with the same modifications to see if I get a better fit. I need more immediate projection than this bra seems to provide and am hoping the next size up will work.

I know how you feel. With their padded bras, even with first try on feeling and looking great, by end of day, everything is so......different. Never an issue with their unpadded bras though. I have come to the conclusion I can't wear padded bras due to this. :-/

Sorry your are experiencing issues with this one. :-( I hope your next attempt fares better.

    • 2

The 3HC don't have very much immediate projection as opposed to the plunge. I think it's more of a ) shape as opposed to a > shape. This might not hold true for your size range, but this is what I've experienced. I hope whatever you choose works out better for you.

    • 1

But she ordered deeper at the wire which should have corrected the shallow issue. :-/

    • 2

Thanks for your comments. The padded plunges work for me in 80J, but I need reduced cup height for the best fit. I have Eris and Ingrid with reduced cup height and modified and Elena with no modifications. The Eris has a very stretchy band and fits the loosest, Elena which fits well but I would order it with reduced cup height next time and Ingrid which fits on the small side but still comfortable. I find the band more comfortable in the bras in 80J.

I was hoping asking for the 3HC deeper at the wire in 80HH would give the same immediate projection as the 80J plunge, but the wire isn’t big enough and there doesn’t seem to be enough projection. I am taking a risk and ordering 3HC in 80J with increased depth at the wire in the Basic, Mimi and Sonia in the hopes that I will have a better fit. I like the shape of the 3HC, so am hoping I can figure out what works best for me.

  5. With all Comexim 3HCs, this runs shallower than their plunge cuts. Even with the request of narrower wires than what is usually used for a 60L, which resulted in more projected, deeper cups, I still had trouble filling out the bottom of the cups without constant adjustment. The band was very stretchy, due to the soft wires, which makes me want to consider getting a 55 band in the future….or perhaps requesting stronger wires? if anyone has details about comexim alterations, please replyhttps://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I also think the shape that the 3Hc gives compared to the plunge is less “gathered” towards the centre, which ... makes my torso look disproportionately wide compared to the rest of my body. This is especially apparent when wearing clothes. Although I got a very rounded and beautiful shape from this bra, it did widen my silhouette quite a bit.

Also, because this was requested to have cookie pockets, I had first hand experience as to the differences Comexim does their cookie pockets. For the 3HC, it extends through the entire bottom to top of the cup, making asymmetry correction easier while using less padding from the cookies (this happens with my EM bras lol) For the plunges the pockets only extend about 2/3 up the cup so the way one can correct asymmetry or add extra shape differs depending on personal needs.

    Hasn't set fit

I bought this bra during Comexim's 2021 Black Friday Sale along with Ardea and Adele.

    pertinent info
    Ribcage: 31 inches
    Bust: 36 - 37 inches
I have asymmetry with my left side being the bigger. FOB. Not entirely sure about roots but I think narrow. Close set.

    bra appearance
I love this print and am a sucker for patterned bras. I like them much better than half lace/half smooth fabric or lace overlay. Ardea is a navy bra with what I would describe as a pond scene pattern. There are cranes and various plants on the fabric. The wings are navy blue. They are nice and wide and double layered. The ... straps are navy blue. The strap hardware is black. Pink trim at the top. Two light blue ribbons where the straps meet the cups. A two toned ribbon is at the gore. It is navy in the center with pink loops.
Alterations - asked for a 3HC instead of keeping it as a 2HC. This was the correct call.

    fit
The fit is similar to my Victoria in that the band is slightly uncomfortable but not unwearable. The band gets tight at random points. I should have gone with a 70 band. Cups encapsulate tissue. Gaping at the top of the cup that isn't noticeable under shirts. More gaping on the smaller side. Cup might be too tall on the smaller side because it feels like it's in my armpit. The gore tacks.
Half cup - good shape for me

    for the future
Bra band - definitely size up unless I lose weight
Cups - Not sure how to fix this. I feel like my boobs have most of their weight toward the bottom so everything feels too tall. I could try shorter cups but not sure if that's possible in the half cups. Also, not sure how the band will affect cups since the grading is not quite the same as UK bras.
This is one of those times I wished I lived near a bra store so I can get some assistance with figuring out sizing =(
Look for a Comexim alteration list and try to figure out what sort of alterations to get if any.

    after washing
the bra goes back to being tight after washing =(. will need to get an extender.

    Hasn't set fit

Ordered with cookie pockets and 1cm extra depth at the wire (unsure if done). It's about 0.5cm deeper at the apex than my unaltered 55J Basic. Whether it's the extra depth at the wire or at the apex, this isn't pushing me out of the cup like the Basic. It's not the most perfect fit if I'm being picky—I think I'm just a half size right now—but it's good enough to keep, and I love the bird print.

My shape: semi-conical, splayed, narrow width, tall shallow roots. My breasts don't conform to bra shapes very well and are quite short.

This bra is very lovely and soft. It's a nice shade of dark blue with cranes and a small pink bow. This half cup is closed on top, making it work really well for my short breasts. The only gaping I get is from the straps being a bit too wide. The band is stretchy and stretches to a max of 29". The cups run a bit small, measuring at 11.375", compared to the 11.5" of the Giovanna and Talisman. Unfortunately, this seems to be below my lower limit of cup depth and it causes me some pain.

This bra is too lovely to pass up, I'd like to try it again in the next size up and the straps moved in.

Actually love this bra. I have a lot of bras that sort of splay my breast tissue out to the side and this is very good at projecting them forwards. I bought this as part of my first foray into Polish bras and now I will probably never go back. I feel like the sizing runs on the small side, but even so very happy with it over all.
