I think this is the one! I'm completely in love with this bra. The wires are a little bit narrower than the ones in 36H - Cleo ยป Lucy Balconnet Bra (5851) and the cups have zero wrinkles *anywhere*. I get a great rounded shape, and the best part is that the straps stay put. No sliding whatsoever!
I really like this bra, despite it not being a perfect fit. The fabric is a little stiffer than say, a Marcie, but after wearing it a bit it breaks in and becomes very comfortable. The fabric also seems to offer a little more support. The bra provides great lift and gives more of a "front and center" look than the Marcie as well. This is a good bra if you need a decent amount of projection. The straps are extremely comfortable.
I'm still trying to narrow down my exact size, but this one's close. I think I need a 34 band due to tissue migration and perhaps a cup size larger.
This is my first Cleo bra, though I've owned many Panache and a few Sculptresse bras. The first thing I noticed was only two hooks per row! Obviously, this was listed on the product page and I just didn't pay attention. I'm not sure I've ever had a bra with just two hooks. I do think I prefer three hooks, but it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.
Second impression was how low quality the materials felt. I think it would soften after a few washes, but compared to the Sculptresse bra I got at ...the same time, this Cleo felt scratchy. The straps were padded with very soft fabric, however. The hearts in the mesh top of cup area are cute but not super omg! hearts!!!! And IMO, the burnt orange color is pretty freaking ugly but hey, it was on sale.
I am wearing it with an extender in these pictures so the band is riding up a bit. While this is normal for me in a Panache 36 band, I was really surprised that the band only measured at 28".
My smaller left breast was encased really nicely in the mesh top. It stayed in place even as I moved around the house. I normally prefer stretch lace as my boobs just defeat mesh, but Kali surprised me. After scooping and swooping my larger left breast spilled over in the center.
In the side shot you can see the wire will not lay flat against my sternum, so I think it's not quite projected enough. There's also a small amount of breast tissue outside the cup/wire in that area.
I think this would be a good bra for some a little smaller and less projected than me. Hopefully I did not get a mislabeled bra but at least in this colorway, I would consider sizing up a band. Read more 216 more words
I just received this bra in the mail, and I'm rather pleased so far. I have boobs that are too soft for the Juna, and other fully moulded bras around my size just aren't the right shape for me. On the Fantasie t-shirt bra, the apex for each breast was moulded about one inch too far to the sides for me, making me look rather projected east-west. This bra, however, is as close to perfect as I think I'll ever find. The wires aren't too wide if you're in the right band size. The full-band style seems to keep the cup width more stable than say, in the ...Lucy.
This bra has reasonable front armpit coverage, but it doesn't feel as if it's cutting into the armpit crease. I will warn that the band is a firm 36; I measure 34.5" at the underbust and I would not take a 34 in this bra. The band fastens with two hooks and three columns, and overall it is a thin band of a traditional style (no leotard back). It is low under the lats, and if you like taller bands for more support there, this probably isn't the bra for you. My monster lats are happy to have the freedom though.
As for the shape it gives, I find that it's a close to the body, compacted Cleo look that's quite round with a slight point at the cup apex, giving it a lighter look than you'd expect in a padded bra. I am totally in love with this bra. It feels very comfy and gives my boobs a rounded, not too prominent shape. I like the design with the spots and lovely embroidery <3 I own the Green Spot George.
I had high hopes for this bra. It's my first moulded cup since my foray into bras that actually fit. I have only tried cut and sew in my new size. This Maddie is a basic nude but also has a nice pattern in the front and I liked the added lace trim. It's pretty smooth under shirts but I could see the bit of lace at the top of the cup. This isn't a deal breaker for me because I don't really mind if anyone can see the outline of my bra. The cups of this bra were too wide for me and I had empty space ...in the sides of the cups by my armpits but I also had a bit of quad boob at the top of the cup. I don't think it will be possible to size down in this bra because I will get even worse quad boob. Overall it felt nice, the fabric was very soft and it seems like it would be a comfortable bra. I think this bra looks absolutely gorgeous. I find it's more of a half-cup than a balcony. I bought it after reading a review from the wonderful Georgina at Fuller Figure Fuller Bust: http://fullerfigurefullerbust.com/tag/panache-cleo-ellie-36h-simply-yours/ I am a bit unhappy about the pink lace band on the top of the cup because it sems to wrinkle on me and I think I will have to think of how to alter it slightly so it lays flat on my breasts and doesn't show under tighter tops. It gives fabulous uplift and support. I wish it had a 3-hook band and although I have not had it for long, I think the band's material is a bit flimsy and will stretch easily. At the moment I need to use an extender because it's rather tight but I would ot want to go up to a 38 band.
Bottom of bra fit me very strangely. This leads me to think those with more tissue on bottom may fare well with this. Was almost cutting into my tissue at the top. Straps were a bit wide.
One of my favorite bras. The wires aren't stabby, which is my biggest issue with finding bras. My only problem is a tiny bit of wrinkling near the gore, but for as comfortable as this bra is, I don't think that tiny wrinkle matters.
First impressions: It seems to fit pretty well, but I am slightly underwhelmed by its appearance in person. I thought the pictures of it were beautiful, but things look a bit different on the physical bra. The main part of the cups is not a polka-dot fabric; it is actually a blue overlaid with a black fabric with little holes in it. And because of the type of fabric it is I can tell that it will get catches over time. I also think it feels...dare I say cheap? On the upside the cups are very soft, similar to the fabric on Panache Emily (6101) . Additionally, ...the lace section of the cup has an extra layer of black mesh under it (as many higher cups do) so the pattern in the lace is less visible, which is a shame. I'm debating attempting to 'de-armor' the lace section...I know I've seen a tutorial somewhere.
I think it fits pretty similarly to Cleo Melissa (6991) , but the upper potion of the cup is stretch lace. It may also be worth mentioning that the cups are in fact navy, not black as it sometimes appears in pictures. And the stretch lace as an elastic along its edge for extra security.
03/12/15 This bra fits very well! The wires poked terribly, but I was able to bend them out and now it is no problem. I have noticed that the band seems to stretch out fairly quickly, I can already wear it on the middle hooks. The center of the cup next to the gore compresses the tissue and I have a pointy look in the bra. Sides are fine but the outer underwire is a little stabby, but I have padding there. The gore is a little but too wide and doesn't tack, sitting on breast tissue. Bit of wrinkling in very top of the cup but better once I tightened the straps. Close but too pointy for me.
I really liked the coral but picked the nude to try as I've been needing a nude bra badly.I just got it today and tried it on quickly as it has that chemical smell and I need to air it out and wash it first.I can't find my tape measure either...grrr.lol.But putting my Ewa on top of it,the wire width is similar,so it's probably around 7 inches for that.
But I wanted to write a quick review and come back and update it later.When I first saw the bra in the bag,I was like,I think it will be too big,as I'm putting it on,I go,I think it might be ...too small!haha.But after adjusting,it's pretty much perfect.I can't entirely fill the bottom of the cup,as it's too shallow,but I sort of expected that and it doesn't really bother me.What surprised me is that I fill the tops of the cups fairly well as I'm not particularly full on top and a lot of reviews mentioned having problems with that.There is a slight gaping if I slouch but that's not unusual with molded,and standing up straight and sitting down,it's perfect.The wires also seem a lot more comfy than the Panache Andorra,which I've been having troubles with,and hopefully it will stay that way.
After I've worn it a long time,I might get it in the coral and maybe even in a 38H if needed for shark week.The tiny heart and bow in the center is a cute dainty touch to a simple basic bra.So far I'm pleased as I often have a hard time finding a t-shirt bra.
Updated review,while this bra gives a great shape under clothes and the fabrics are comfy,the straps are not wide enough for me.Also I figured out that bandless styles are not the best,may try a Maddie or Juna instead. Read more 192 more words
I really wish there were more questions about the band for fit. Based on the questions on bratabase this bra fits perfectly, maybe I've become too picky, but the band stretched out really quickly and I'm now wearing it on the middle hooks most days and sometimes I can wear it on the inside hooks. Aside from that its sturdy, beautiful and comfortable.
First of all this bra is way too small. I didn't sent it back, because I thought, it wasn't that bad when I tried it on the first couple of times. But I quickly realised, that it indeed was too small. Eventhough it's probably about 2 cup sizes too small, it's still quite nice to wear. The fabric is super soft and smooth, and the straps are very comfortable, eventhough they're not as thick/broad, as I usually like them to be. The wires does'nt poke or pinch the skin, and the fabric stretches well. It's listed as a balconette bra, but I would say it's more af a half cup. Maybe it's because, it's too small for me, and does'nt cover that much of my boobs, I don't know ;p If it came in larger cup sizes, and it had a bit more coverage, it could be on of my farvorite bras!
This bra was generous compared to my other Cleo bras. I altered the ups to fit me which is why I left the cup depth field empty. This fabric is gorgeous. Looks well made and feels good. I can wear it Ll day at work with no discomfort. The band is nice and firm but less firm than the Panache Jasmine. This is my go to bra. The cups give me a nice round shape. I'm not sure if this is due to the alteration but I think Cleo generally gives a rounded shape.
When I first tried it on before altering it, it was very starched. After the first wash it was less roomy so I'm glad I did that before I altered it. Overall I'm very happy with this bra and it was only $10!
This is one of the best-fitting, most comfortable bras I've ever owned. I'm about a half cup size bigger on one side, and the 36H fits that side perfectly. The top of the cup on my smaller size is a little loose, but not enough to be noticeable underneath clothes. My breasts are fuller on top, and I almost always get the dreaded quadboob effect, but the sheer part of these cups does not cut in. My only wish is that I could tighten the strap on my smaller side a bit more (there is a fleecy strip underneath the front of each strap that prevents the front of the strap from going through the adjuster). I might take out the seam in that strap, shorten it, and re-sew it.
