  1. Breeze Longline Padded Balconnet (9025)

    Didn't fit

I had heard Breeze ran small in the band and somewhat large in the cups. So I was looking for a sister size, from my regular 30GG/H to a 32G or 34FF.

First tried this bra in a sale, when the only sister size left was a 36F. Not a big surprise that that didn't work out (36F - Cleo » Breeze (9025)) but I as I really loved the design and rounded profile, I wanted to try a smaller backsize.

In this 34FF, the fit is definitely much better than in 36F - although a 32G(G?) probably would've worked as well. I'm now wearing it on the ... second row of hooks. So for my shape (tall roots, upper fullness) Breeze doesn't seem to run large in the cups. And maybe one size small-ish in the band?

About the band, this is actually longer than in other longline bras I've tried (Freya Flourish & Crush, Fauve Bronte). This means (for me) that the band also doesn't flip up as much, which is great. And the length means a nice smoothed silhouette under clothes, without bulges.

Cup wise I could maybe get away with a bigger size, but there's no real quadding. Some minor discomfort where the sides are kind of poking into my armpits (which seems to be caused by the side boning? Luckily much less of a problem than in the 36F).

Edit: forgot about the straps; they are not my favorite. Pretty narrow, kind of wide set and more rigid than I prefer.

Guess Breeze still won't be an everyday bra for me, but I really love the design and it gives some good special occasion cleavage!
Matching shorts are a nice fit in a size 14, for my larger 42 inch hips / butt.

Looks lovely on you!! It's such beautiful print but I can get used to longlines.
I found that some Cleos I need 34D and some 32DD in cups (yeah, they're sister sizes but there was better or worst fit ) and I've tried breeze in 34D and 32DD where both in a band were tts and 32DD had better fitting in the cups.

    • 1

Looks fantastic on you! Great cleavage going on :)

    • Thanks martka00 and roxanney (:

And yeah, sister sizing tends to work out differently for different brands and sizes, IMO. Guess it still mostly comes down to trail and error 🤔

I realize that this bra is discontinued but I just wanted to review how it fit for me. I snapped this up new at a great price so I thought I would try it.

This was close to working for me. The cups are narrow enough for me, immediate projection is good, and the gore is narrow too which works for me. The material is quite nice and this pattern is really pretty.

Sadly the cups are too tall for me. I get gapping at the top of the cups and the underwire digs into my armpits. The straps are too far apart for me too.
I wish I could get this altered but alas, I will be selling this. My ongoing search continues...

For reference, I believe I am FOB, short roots, centre full, narrow to average width

My 30FF is a bit similar. I think I might be able to do a 30F or 28FF based on the cup height but it does seem to wrap around the top of my breasts and I wonder if it would cut into the tissue.

    • Calluna yeah I took a look at yours and it does seem to fit similarly. Close but no cigar! I can’t find any others for sale and additionally I’m worried that even in the right size the cup edge is too prominent and would show up under clothes.

    • Same. It’s a very prominent edge. But I’m sure it will be ok under a sweater. I can’t wear mine. It looks great. It just doesn’t feel great.

    • 1

Mimi has a killer edge. I think if they had done it slightly differently, it would have a) been less obvious under shirts and b) been a bit easier to fit. The thick edge can make it look like it does not quite fit even when it does, and makes it look like a much worse fit than it may be, whether too small or too big. I love my rose Mimi, but that edge is a little challenging. I have to be discerning about shirts when I wear it.

If you can get one size down (34F), it might work.

    • AllyBra I think you’re right, that thick rigid edge would be hard to give anyone a proper fit. A 34 F may work for me but alas I can’t find one. I’m wondering if another Cleo bra would work if I can find one

This is my first non-VS bra. Based on my measurements, I was suggested to be a 36GG, but that was absurdly large on me (trying multiple styles), so finally reached 34FF as the right size for me. This bra does a great job of lifting and holding my slightly splayed breasts up front - so much so that it actually pushes them close enough that the gore is a bit too high (which has never been an issue for me, even with the other bras I've tried in the last few weeks) and it digs in a bit. So far it's not serious enough to be a problem. Also, the shape feels little torpedo-y to me, but I think I'm also just used to very little support, thus a more "settled" shape. I think this would be a great bra for anyone who wants a "high and perky" shape.

congrats! yeah, the Marcie shape is very special. you either love it or hate it. But, having found this, hopefully you can start finding more in your correct size!

    • It looks on the verge of being too small, but Marcie is a very full-on-top shape so sometimes people who are not so full-on-top find it a bit pointy

    • dbmamaz I think that's accurate - I'm definitely maxing out the cups, and even my smaller side (right) is filling out the cup completely, which is unusual. I'd previously tried the Maddie, but it cut in slightly at the top so I was recommended to try Marcie instead.

    • dbmamaz Oops, not the Maddie, the LUCY. My bad.

  4. Kali Balconnet Bra (7561)

I love this bra - got it in the electric blue colourway and it makes a real impact. The fit is really great which surprises me because this bra and the Lori (sister fit) are both in the full-on-bottom shape category that I've tended to avoid. I also wear the really projected Cleos (Melissa, Ellis). But I guess my breasts are changing shape (I'm 45) so the more full on bottom style - with lots of projection at the lower cup - is good. I'm half inclined to try the Lucy but I'm concerned that it's more closed on top and slightly more shallow and I wouldn't want ... anything shallower than this style (I have a lot of centre immediate projection). The fabric is much softer than in the really projected styles - much less industrial - though slightly less supportive. This bra is still quite supportive because its shape provides more pressure over the entire width of the cup. As such, it's less boobs on a plate and gives a slightly wider / flatter profile. It's still nicely projected though, with a low(ish) gore that works. The wires are firm. The straps are fairly narrow (but not too narrow). The band fits SNUG. Size up. I had to return the 32 (size I usually wear) for a 34. I thing I love: How the upper cup lace affixes to the side panel (it dips below where the strap meets the side cup) - this is what gives it a less projected top cup while the side cup continues to be high enough to capture side breast tissue and to be supportive. It's a hybrid of projection with an understated shape.

    • Thank you for your awesome review, I've been searching for a lower profile bra with a tighter band and this might be it. Thanks again!

    • I did not find that I had any difficulty with the Lucy. The cut is nearly identical, as are the measurements. I did size up on the band for the Lucy since the Kali was so tight, but I kept the cup size the same...so, Kali is a 36E and Lucy is a 38E. Other than the tightness of the band the Lucy is identical fit. No cutting in noted-not tight on top.

It's a cute, black bra with stitching up the middle of the cup...it doesn't really look good under t-shirts because of the stitching, but it'd work under a sweater or something. Because of the shape of the cup, I think it would work best for a full on top breast.

This bra is very comfortable. It fits similar to the Lucy, but this one is softer material and the gore isn't quite as wide. Band has stretched a bit. Combined with weight loss, a 32 band would fit better.

The Meg was my first attempt to find a correct fitting bra after wearing only 34DDD's for years. My true size in Cleo is 32G, although I wear a 30GG in Freya and a 30H in Curvy Kate (not sure about Panache or Fantasie yet). So glad to find such a good supportive bra that fits my breasts --- no smooshing or overspill. The Meg fits my shape well (narrow roots, deep projection, soft tissue). I feel uplifted and much narrower (boobs front and center, not sagging under my armpits) with this shaping. I continue to purchase other Cleo bras in 32G, although I had to go to a 32GG in the Juna.

The top of the bra wrinkles, the wire digs into my underarm when I bend over, and the top of the gore also pokes into my chest as well. The band feels very tight even on the loosest hook, but only stretches out to about 2-3 inches, so I could just not be used to such a tight fitting bra yet. The straps have a really pretty scalloped edging, but I find it to be a bit scratchy. The straps also feel a bit too wide-set for my liking.

It's a gorgeous bra though! I might give it a try in a smaller cup size to see if it helps with the wrinkling. I'm still trying to figure out the right size, so maybe a smaller cup size will suit me better. The Malibu Blue is a lovely blue shade, and the Neon Orange is a bit more pinkish than I expected.

Band is tighter than yellow Cleo Lucy 32G! Cups are just as narrow. I bought this hoping to alter the center gore which would open the cups a little and stop the quad-boob at the center, but the band is too tight, which annoys me.

Quad boob at center because gore is too wide/cups are too far apart. Straps are too wide-set for narrow/sloping shoulders (was hoping the alteration would fix that too). Band feels looser than yellow one but the photos show it much tighter. Band feels as though it will loosen quickly.

I've worn it for about an hour at a time and the quad boob on the left is noticeable, which is not good for breast tissue and not good for cleavage as it looks weird.

This is the first bra that I really loved the look of AND it fit me better than most, but honestly it's not the best. I think it's because it pushes my boobs up too high, so they take on more of a spherical shape. It feels a little tight between the outside underwire and the shoulder strap.

However, the gore nestles perfectly between my boobs and I'm a sucker for the blue ribbon/red button detail.

Haven't worn it enough to know if it will stretch out.

A typical 34FF UK-sized bra equates to 34H US sizing. Not true here; this wireless bra states that it is 34FF in BOTH UK and US. And boy, did it fit that way. My breasts were super-squished and falling out of the middle of the bra. For reference, I am center-full, but wide-set. There was also some interesting gapping on the outer edges of the cup where it met the wing. Such an odd fit.

So this bra and Jasmine are my favourite bras.

I absolutely love the way this bra fits in the cup. Lovely lift and no wrinkles. It's my dream cup.
The wires on this sit in my IMF, where Jasmine's wires don't sit *quite* in my IMF, but I get enough support from the Jasmine that I find this fine.

HOWEVER, this bra is very painful for me in the strap area. The straps are way too wide for me and they don't adjust long enough, which means that they're both digging in and sitting right on my shoulders towards my arms. I don't have this problem with Jasmine, but I find ... that the cup on Jasmine has a few small wrinkles on the bottom of the cup for me (just a bit too much space down there). I have most of my fullness at the apex, rather than at the wire.

It's a gorgeous looking bra, really cute with the bows and lace and some really lovely colourways.

I am pretty even top and bottom and medium width. I have the most projection at the nipple. Probably about medium projection. I have to bend the wires because I've learned I have a weird shaped rib cage which is narrower at the bottom and flares out a lot where the top of the wires on both gore side and underarm side sit. After I bend them the cup fits perfectly.
I've learnt that I might fit better in a 36F because I also wear this and Jasmine with an extender.

I wish I could find a bra that is like this but with the straps like Jasmine has. They're just too far apart on Marcie. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":-(" />

Upper cups are made of a soft, stretchy lace, which feels jiggly and less supportive. The band, too, is relatively stretchy. The underwires are somewhat wide, encompassing my side flesh without going into my arm pit area. However, the cups narrow toward the apex, so the fit is quite projected and not shallow.

God, I wanted to love this beautiful bra. The black floral fabric was GORGEOUS. But it was WAY. TOO. SMALL. in the cups. Actually, “small” is the wrong word. I think the cups were actually just too short and shallow for my shape. Like, the bra fit me. Band size was okay and the forward part of my breasts fit in the cups. But it didn’t do anything to support the tissue in my armpit area, so it just ended up oozing unattractively over the sides of the bra. Gross. And the shape it gave the girls was way too squashed and pointy. It was also itchy as all hell. I don’t think any of this will be improved by ordering a larger size, so it’s been returned.

I love this bra, it's cute and the longline style it super comfy. The only problem is that both the underwire and the extra boning on the side comes up too high and poke me in the arm pits. Everything other than that is perfect. Iv'e tried five or six Cleo bras and this is the first one that the cup fits my amount of breast tissue perfectly. I am seriously considering keeping it and trimming the wires.
