I wanted so much to love this bra. I just KNEW it was for me when I saw it.
    I'm still not entirely sure what size I am. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
This bra looks better on the tightest hook than it does on the loosest hook, but I think it makes my breasts look like torpedoes. I want a bra that makes my breast look rounded.
There's space at the top on both cups, but for some reason it is more noticeable on my bigger breast.
There is also some wrinkling on the band.

What shape is the Cleo Maya made for? Because whatever it is, I can rule that out for me!

This is probably the first real disappointment I've had since entering the land of bras with proper band sizes. It's also the first time I know my problems aren't just being too small for the cups or something. I've tried one other Cleo at this point (the Lily, also in 28D), so I have a bit of a basis for comparison here. (Strangely, from what I've read, these two bras are supposed to be similar. I can't stand the Maya. When I figure out what the cause is, I'll update.) ... First things first, it feels so constrictive on my ribcage. It makes me vaguely anxious. Comparing it to my Lily bra, which I don't have that issue in, it seems to be just a tad smaller in the band. That said, it doesn't seem as bad if I fasten the band backwards and upside down. (My underbust is roughly 26".) I also felt like I needed to adjust the shoulder straps a lot longer in the Maya, for whatever reason. With the Lily, the little slides are about an inch and a half away from where the straps attach, but in this one, I basically had to lengthen the straps as far as they would go. My shoulders still feel very tense when wearing this bra, although I don't think adjusting more would help that. The placement of the straps is an okay width in that they aren't falling off, but where it attaches to the top of the cup on my left side digs in just a little when I move that arm forward.

As far as the cups go, not just the lace section of the balconnet, but some of the upper part of the printed portion of the cup, is basically empty. It's extremely pronounced on my smaller right breast, but still a big issue with the left. The bottoms of the cups feel full. The underwire seems like it's in the right place; it's definitely wide enough on the outside and nestles just right, but I can't wear this bra long enough to judge the rest of the placement by the impressions left. The gore is wide enough for me, too.

It's cute enough, like basically all of Cleo's offerings, but I liked the stock photos better than what I got. I don't know if it's because this is just a smaller cut, so there's less expanse of fabric for the print to shine, but it's nowhere near as bright and cheery as I'd thought. Kind of murky and dark. The blue is navy, not some fun aqua. It's still nice enough, I'm just a little saddened, although I suppose it lessens the blow of not being wearable for me.

I fill all of it out!! Especially when I stand straight up, even the lace at the top is filled, and it's an unlined bra!
The band is snug, but not too tight in the 30. (I measure 28.5 underbust).
The straps do not fall down, nor do they dig in.
The gore tacks perfectly. The only fit issue really is that it gaps when I lean over. Otherwise it's actually perfect.

What does this say about my breast shape?

    • What a freaking adorable bra!! Seriously! It looks really cute on you too. As far as breast shape - having the bra measurements entered would help with that. But from what I understand about Cleo's Marcie, it's a rather narrow-wired bra that allows for natural projection. BUT, that's speaking from my size range of 28FF or so. In the smaller size ranges, the cups could be cut more shallow since smaller breasts *tend* to be more shallow. Again, having your specific bra's measurements entered would be helpful!

    • lcl0706 Thanks! I love it! :D
Yeah, I haven't gotten around to measuring it yet but I definitely will.
My other best fitting bras are Juna and Maddie so I feel like it's on the shallower side in this size range.

    • Yeah if it fits like the Juna/Maddie then it's shallower in that size range. I think that's fairly common. Very cute indeed. I love the looks of the Maddie but my Juna was too narrow so I haven't bothered with a Maddie. Sigh. Darn me and my seemingly-unusually wide roots.

OUCH! The first time I wore this, the top of the wire at the gore dug into the inner side of my breast tissue and has left a dent in my skin that's still here after like 3 days! I have now bent the wires forward at the top and when I put it on it sits much more flatly on my chest rather than pushing into it. If you have problems with gores you may want to try it at home before going out and being stuck in it. Standing up straight with my arms back, it fits perfectly, but if i move my arms together the top wrinkles. I think it's a very full on top style.

good for ladies with average projection and full on top breasts who prefer a very snug band or who are in the 24-26" band range on a budget

Ordered 32FF, received this 36DD. Pretty bra.

My naked breast/chest perimeter is 38.5", with this bra on I measure 38", much higher on chest though. Gives great lift. I fill out bottom of cup. Lift is good enough that my nipples end up at the lace of the top cup. Wires may be to wide. Band may have been altered in some way before shipping, bought as new of Ebay, but you never now. Had to pull hard on band to get the 33" stretched measurement, and I can comfortably wear a 32F in this bra. The 32F fits better, but this 36DD allows for more projection. This 36DD has a high enough gore that the underwire do not poke my breasts like the 32F I own. Wing height is a little tall as it rubs my armpit.

This is being shipped back since it is the wrong size.

    • sorry for the wrong order, i just had this happen to me also.
what's going on in the shipping world? lol :)
at least it sounds like a fun experiment with the wrong size bra, i did much the same with the 38B that was sent to me.

It felt too tight the first time I wore it, but after wearing it the second day, it was comfortably snug. It left red marks, but was not painful. The cups want a little bit more top fullness than I have, but otherwise this is one of the best fitting new size bras I own. The wires are a wee bit narrow, but maybe that's just because I'm not used to wearing this size of bra. I don't think it was breast tissue it was pressure against, but just my side in general. Again, not painful, just something I noticed. I felt it made me look small in the chestal area but I'm used to push up and molded giving me porn star cleavage so what do I know!
I think I could benefit from going a band or cup size up.
The colors are brighter irl than they are in the stock photos, and I love it. The colorway makes me feel like it's summer all over again.

I had an orange in the glass effect with this bra, where the fabric would wrinkle at the top, yet cut into my skin. Not the most ideal bra for someone with shallow breasts. Also, the line between the lace and the animal print part near the top can be seen through somewhat tight tops.

    Fits

I've worn this bra a few times now, so I can actually make some worthwhile comments. This is actually one of my best fitting bras but some problems remain (whether I will ever be able to solve them is unknown)

    * The wires seem too wide, I'm bulging out at the sides and they're under my arms.(this is probably partly due to the centre gore being too wide for me as well)
    * Unless I keep perfect posture all day, the centre wires poke into my sternum - I think I have a bruise there from slouching yesterday.
    * The straps are too far apart and want to saw my arms ... off. Of course, this wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't ever need to move my arms forward and it also seems to be par for the course for balconnets - can't someone make a balconnet with the straps just a smidge less wide?
    * The centre gore doesn't sit completely flat but that's because there just isn't enough room between my breasts for it to sit flat.
    * When I first put the fit in for this bra apparently I marked it as top of cup being wrinkly - to be honest, it's barely/if at all noticeable and I'd change it but I find it really difficult to figure out where to go on this site to change things once they're done.

When I was fitted at Bravissimo, for some reason she said that I should be wearing it on the smallest hook. Not only did that not make sense to me but it was damn uncomfortable so I wear it on the loosest hook - it's still firm enough for me.

All of these issues are replicated in my Cleo Juna.

I also agree with another reviewer who felt that the mesh did not match the animal print, maybe they had heaps of that mesh and needed to use it up?
