One thing I like about knowing my perfect size in a giving brand, and knowing the brand is consistent with sizing and shaping, is that I have a lot less risk that the bra won't fit me. This is what happened with the Maya bra.
The shape it gives my breasts is the usual "Cleo shape", which is a super rounded super lifted and perfectly supported shape. The design and fit is almost the same as the Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7351) but the top of the cups is sheer and adorned with a funky colorful flower embroidery. There is just a little more fabric under the wires as well, ...but it's not uncomfortable at all.
The "wings" of the band in the back are made in a solid navy fabric but I noticed the fabric on the back of this one is a lot softer and smooth that on my other Cleo bras, which is nice.
The design of the Maya bra is an absolute fun one even if I'm not completely sold on the flower embroidery on the top of the cups: as another user said here, it's like it doesn't belong with the animal print apart from their colors. The animal print is fabulous ! In person it looks a little less bright that on the stock photos though.
I love this bra, but there is one or two things that I like less: - I gained a little weight in my boobs (not anywhere else, argh), so there is a little bit of quad-boob on my bigger breast (the left one). As it is only noticeable by me because I'm becoming an expert in bra fitting (lol), I'm keeping the bra and I'll pray to loose this extra bit of boob fat... - The line at the top of the cups shows under tops. - The sheer top part of the cups is weirdly sewn, or maybe it's just not as elasticated as with my other Cleo bras, because instead of the über rounded shape I get on the top with my other bras, my boob tissue gets a little squished and flatten o.O It's hard to explain, and not noticeable by other people, but it looks a bit weird. Maybe it will go away with a few washes and wear...
Now, all Cleo has to do to completely win me over, is making more narrow shoulders-friendly straps, a band with rows of 3 hooks and maybe an everyday grey cotton bra then all of my bra dreams would be realized ! Read more 308 more words
I'm super happy with this bra. So in love with it that I'm tempted to wear it again today. But I must resist.
The wires are much wider than expected, but I guess maybe I should've expected that for a 30F.
This also fits my left boob, but there's extra fabric at the top of my right cup. I'm tempted to swap for 30E, but at the same time, I wore this out yesterday and had little problems (only wrinkling in the top right cup).
It IS shark week, so I may not be so fortunate in a few days. I'll update again Wednesday.
For now, here's how I feel ...about my first Cleo:
I love it. I'd chose this over a lot of other unlined bras I have.
Even though I feel as if the pattern is simultaneously really ugly and really cute, and even though my top right cup wrinkles.
The wires were a big let down though. I've been reading that Cleos mostly have narrow wires, and maybe I just got one of the ones that runs wide. Though, I DO probably need a 30E. I'm also still off of spironolactone, and losing weight, so I'm not set on keeping this long term(but I want to). Definitely need the 30E.
Cup depth, great for the left boob. Center gore, PERFECT. No separation in the gore, the wires touch. No tapering off to the sides in the cups.
Tha band is impressive and taut. And, I both love and feel quesy about the design..but it's mostly love.
The shape it gives is one which I prefer. Similar to the Freya Siren and Starlet on me, just a lifted, FoB, perky shape. Cleo's shape is much more rounded out than pointy like Freya though, which I prefer. It's the shape I like, perfected.
I will definitely be purchasing more unlined Cleos. Hopefully I can find a 30E in this, and hopefully this bra doesn't get too big on me in a few days, but I normally don't expand out(measurements don't change), just fill out all around, so I don't know. I'll update.
This bra is probably good for even to FoT shapes. Which is why it fits my left boob and not my right. I'd really like to see this in 30E and see if I get quadboob in my left or not. I'm sure it should fit the right.
Also, the wires on this are probably more average to semi wide. Cup depth is about 10", give or take. In any case, I'm really happy that I found this bra and can't wait to try out the 30E. I'll likely be keeping the 30F for now, unless the left cup starts wrinkling or I find a 30E that fits better.
I think at 10" depth, I'm not going to last long with this unfortunately Read more 350 more words
The 30" fits like my 32" L'Agent bras so am not sure if this is a longer band or not....I have it on the tightest setting and fits well. The cups are filled in the bottom and sides but there is a bit of room at the top. I am more FOB or evenish. I do think the projection is a lot....as it seems like a fun going out bra under a sexy top for a date night...but not a daily go to for me. The straps are the most uncomfortable aspect of the bra as they are quite wide apart...
It's a well made, pretty bra. Not usually my type as it's patterned but I got a good deal on ebay so thought I would give it a go.
The band fits much better on this one, the wires under my arms are too tall(I'm pretty short), the bottom of the cups have some wrinkling and the top is just big. Also I'm not a fan of the torpedoes it creates.
Thought I ordered a 30D, got a 32D. Can't fill out cups so not sure how accurate my impression is, but I feel like this one might not have worked out anyway. Cups are way too wide for me, and the gore wants to slant sideways against one of my breasts.
The band is fairly firm, as I expected. It is very comfortable, even the center gore, which is moderately tall on me. Doesn't dig in on me. One cup size too small I think, get a bit of quadding out the top. I am hoping to get this in a 30GG, it is so cute! I generally do NOT like unlined bras, but I think I can make an exception for this one! The wings are too low on the sides, but I'm thinking should be ok in the correct cup size.
