This review is for the bluebell colorway. This bra has great immediate projection and also enough room for my center fullness. There is also enough room at the tops of the cups to accommodate my tall roots. I have a bit of extra fabric at the outsides of the cups, as the wires are just a bit too wide for my narrow roots, but I also don't have much outer fullness. And this bra has narrower wires than most UK bras that I have tried in this size range. I find this bra to be quite comfortable - nothing really digs in anywhere. I also have this bra in this size in black and do not notice any fit differences between the two colors. Short roots or full on bottom boobs would likely have a problem filling out the tops of the cups, but this is a solid, comparatively inexpensive bra for those of us with tall roots. I lucked out and found this bra on sale at Amazon for $16.95, so it was a great find!

This bra is adorable and makes me feel so ... round! So perky! I love it. I wear it for events where I'm dancing in a bra. Unfortunately, the underwire is really thick and stiff, so it digs into my sides as well as at the gore. I can't wear it for too long, even though my tits look fantastic in it, because I get uncomfortable red imprints at the ends of the underwire. I would recommend this bra if you just want your tits to look amazing and feel incredibly well-supported for a short period of time, and don't mind cutting off your circulation in the skin ... at your armpits and your sternum.

Update after some time: Another drawback to this bra, again emphasizing that it's adorable and your boobies will look amazing, is that it does wear hard! Those nights of dancing in my bra are starting to show after only a few months. The dye is starting to wear off around the underwire and where the seams rub against my skin and the band, originally almost too tight at its largest hooks, is already more comfortable at its second and can even be worn comfortably on its tightest hook.

I love the look of this bra. I fell in love with the color as soon as I saw it.
However, the underwire is a bit too narrow for me and it is uncomfortable.
I wish Panache (Cleo) bras worked for me but they don't!

Marcie and I have the weirdest relationship! I actually got a Marcie way back in the day--one of the two bras I got when I first got into bra fitting. I kind of messed it up and ended up getting them both a cup size too small, but I thought the Marcie was very pretty. I think, maybe, it being a cup size too small for me covered up some of the fitting issues I was later to have with this bra.

I am genuinely kind of confused as to what's going on here. My boobs may be changing a little bit, as I've started having a slight gape ... on many of my bras, but nothing like the Marcie. Why this gaping is happening I couldn't tell you. The bra is also too wide for me, so the effect is that my boobs just kind of sit awkwardly in the cups.

What's really surprising is that while they sit there awkwardly, they sit there FIRM. I was /so comfortable/ walking around in this bra today. The band feels great (though I might prefer another hook), and my boobs like did not move at all. I don't know how this /works/, but I'm glad it does. Will keep!

    • So based on the pictures, I think I can guess why we're having such different fits with our cousin styles, haha. I am also high set, but my vertical root is an average length. You appear to be high set but also have a pretty short root. Also, I'm not sure how tall you are, but I'm 5ft7, so if you're petite and the cup sizes don't scale down vertically, that could explain why this cup looks so tall on you.

What size were you wearing before that was too small? And in what way(s) did you feel was it too small? (Bulging? Quadding? IMF issues? Wire width?)

I don't know if they make the Marcie in a 28 band, but if so, I think you should try it in 28H, maybe even 32G with a rixie clip? I see the "eggplant in a bowl" phenomenon happening massively at the top, bottom, and sides, so I think this cup is actually way too big on you despite fitting you straight out front. I think you could absolutely size down at least one cup in this, maybe 2. It might take some sister-size finagling if you wanted to make it work, but it really looks like you've "sized up for depth" one (or two) too many cup sizes. I am getting much less projection than you, but my (fairly firm?) tissue is still able to expand upward and into the bottom of the cup. But it's also hard to 100% tell, because this bra is super tall for your frame.

Also! I just realized that if the Marcie fit you way differently in the smaller cup size, in might be that G/GG line where they suddenly overhaul the bra's design and make the cups way wider and taller. Even if a 32 band is too big for you without alterations, a 32G could fit you perfectly if it's on the other side of that irritating G/GG line most brands have.

Also also: I know the bands don't go down to your size, but Elomi has some excellent petite bras that might fit you if you're down to take in the sides or pop on a rixie clip. I'm not sure how the scaling would be, but the Etta and Carmen have extremely tight bands and reasonably short cup sizes in the upper categories. Lydia is great too, though the band isn't quite as firm. If you can find any of those in 34G, I think the cups might be perfect. I have one of those in a 34GG I'm about to sell for cheap, but it runs big so GG is probably too much cup.

    • Adler613 Such a detailed comment! Yes, I'm short, I'm 5'1. I definitely do lean on the short rooted side, but I don't think I'm /that/ short rooted, as this is the only bra I've ever really had a problem with because of that (or maybe most bras not being projected enough and pushing my boobs up to the top of the cup has just masked it? who's to say!).

The last time I tried this bra was ~5 years ago, so I really don't remember very much, but I'm pretty sure I got a 32F when I really should have been wearing a 32FF or 30G. I was very, very new to my bra fitting journey and only tried it on for a minute or so, so all I remember is quadding, but there could potentially have been other problems too.

I appreciate the suggestions, but really, I'm not all that dedicated in this situation, lol. The bra feels fine and looks fine under clothing, so I wear it, and regardless, I have several other bras that fit me much better.

    • I'm happy you've found other bras that fit! I've had a heck of a time finding any that fit. ;_; I'm glad I've finally found a few today, but it's taken months and around 100 different bras. Such a pain.

It definitely sounds like you met with the G/GG construction change with this model, and I've noticed those changes seem to be extra noticeable if you're on the shorter side (in either overall height or root height). Probably not important if you're not looking for another Marcie, but you might find major changes between a 30H and a 32G/GG if you ever are on the hunt for a new bra. :D

FITTING: @ Marcie & @ Kali Cleo by Panache, unlined panel mesh bras sizes 34E-30H cups.
    - Envied my friend who has the Kali, Marcie, & Lucy, Cleo by Panache Bras. She looks fantastic in them, they are her favorites, so I bought a couple. I couldn't fit in her bra, so I had to guess on fit & size.
    - My comfort/appearance rating is based on my fit, not the bra quality. My breasts were too small and soft from weightloss, so my breasts don't do these bras justice.
    - I haven't seen my friend's breasts naked, so I don't know her natural shape, but she had her correct ... size and all three Cleo models, Kali, Marcie & Lucy, looked very nice & round. Her breasts were well supported, they didn't bounce around when she jumped & her breasts are very large.
    - Beautiful rich vibrant colors, cute embroirered patterns.
    - The @ Marcie has more full coverage than @ Kalie. The 3-part panel gives a lot of lift & center projection.

PURCHASE: I was new to online shopping & wasnt aware that the seller on Amazon had a had a "no return" policy. I tried to cancel the order, but The bras were already en-route. I lost a lot of money! =, (

CONDITION & CARE: I hypoallergenic hand washed after trying on. Then stored flat in plastic on hangers to preserve/ protect mesh fabric and wire shape.

Thank you everyone! <3 BRATABASE! <3

This was the first bra recommended to me to try after finding my size. I was very underwhelmed; I found the band easily went around my back (though that sometimes is a relief when you hear horror stories of tight bands everywhere!) and my breasts were just sitting at the bottom in the cups, unappealing and wondering why they were in this contraption. I swooped and scooped but since everything was too big, I just jiggled all over.

The big plusses? It is really soft. Like, really, really soft. I didnt want to take it off but since I am not keeping ... it, no point. Oh, and the color is a beautiful Christmas red, I believe its called Raspberry. It also has a subtle flat design in the mesh (polka dots) and the lace that would be less difficult to see under shirts, though I do layer a lot. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

All in all, I would say this is definitely better for someone who is fuller on the top than me and possibly not needing such a wide wire. Also, looking at the measurements, they cut it wonky so it was a quality issue. Makes me sad.

I've found The Bra for me.

My shape is projected, full on bottom, and fairly narrow roots. This is the first bra that felt like it checked all my boxes.

    Pros:

-Enough projection without the pointier Freya look. Holy cow.
    -Lovely rounded shape.
-Somehow I manage to fill out both the bottom and the top of the cup entirely. It is like magic.
-I love the narrower straps. Love.
-In general it just looks more feminine/small/delicate than any of my other bras. Maybe it's just that it's pink and has narrower straps and bands, but when I took it out of the package I had a moment of fear ... that it would be too small because it didn't look big enough to be a big bra. But it fit!
-Until now the best bras for my shape have been Freyas, which all have an extra bit of boning on the side seam. The way it's attached to the band always digs in for me. This bra doesn't have that. Yay!

    Cons:

-Only two hooks. Initially I was excited about this because I've always been just a little jealous of people who could wear two-hook bras. But it's true it makes it dig in just a little.
-The available colors don't thrill me. I'd love to have the option of plainer colors.

I've heard some bashing of this bra but it really seems to be a holy grail of sorts for my shape. I'm in love.

The one thing I will say is: there's something about the shape that makes me look HUGE. It's a great shape, it's lifted, my waist looks great ... but there's no denying the sheer size of my breasts in this bra!

Measure 28HH (28 comfortably tight band, 40 leaning bust); round breast shape; close set; and equally full on bottom and full on top. Trying 30H in Cleo Marcie (pink) and Cleo Lucy (blue).

Tried a 30H because I was told the wires looked distorted in the 28HH I tried from too small a band. Also heard that Cleo run quite tight in their unpadded bras. I also wanted to see if the wires would be better a larger band.

Sadly, the wires are still very wide (please stop pattern grading Cleo!) but not enough to make the cups collapse as in the 28HH which is great news. Moreover, while the ... straps are a little wide on my shoulders, it isn't too uncomfortable (or, at least, I've had worse) and the straps are soft underneath. The profile is wonderful and a typical round, uplifted Cleo look. The lace is stunning and I love the colour pink and quality the lace.

Being close-set, I found the gore is a bit awkward and painful, leaving a deep impression on my skin. It seems to dig into my skin at the top of the gore but it wouldn't stop me wearing the bra though and nothing some cotton-wool wouldn't fix. I found the Cleo Lucy's gore much more comfortable and barely noticeable comparatively.

It is slightly gaping on my right, smaller breast but I've heard this is common with this bra and I think this is more a shape than a size issue for me definitely due to the Cleo Lucy having the opposite effect (fitting perfectly on the right, slightly cutting off breast tissue at the top on the left). Just shows how asymmetry works in both sizing (my left is larger by one cup) and in shape (my left is far more full on top and bottom with the right bit more full on bottom).

I think I agree that Cleo unpadded bras might run tighter than normal in the band but, unfortunately, this has not worked out in my favour or is not tight enough for me. Even on the tightest clasp, the band rises a lot at the back so I'm going to have to return it despite everything else being great.

I've worn this bra 3 times now, so this is what I have found good and bad about it:

    The good:
The shape is amazing- very round and projected for a unpadded bra.
The band is really supportive- very true to size for a 30, firm but not to tight. It stays put all day and doesn't rub or anything.
The shape on the cups is good- there's plenty of room on top so it accommodates my full on top boobs perfectly, and I fill out the bottom as well, which is good as I usually have empty space in freya balconettes.
    It's so pretty!

    The bad:
The straps are too wide. I'm 5'8 and don't have what I would call narrow shoulders, but these straps dig me in the arms all day. So hopefully that will improve as it gets worn in because I love this bra!

Overall a thumbs up from me, but either the strap placement needs to be addresses or they need to be made of softer fabric in future seasons.
