My shape is projected, fuller on top and centre, with tall and narrow roots, super close-set (no distance between my boobs), soft and self-supporting. My best fitting bras are Panache Jasmine 28F (overlapped gore) and Comexim Bianca (unlined) 3HC 60HH.

I tried Cleo Marcie 28F a few years ago which fit fine but the tall/wide gore made it too painful for me to keep. I learned how to overlap bra gores now and thought to give it another try.

The band fits tighter than usual, probably because it's black, but since my snug measurement is about 26.75", it's fine. I think it will be a bit looser after washing.

The wires ... feel almost too narrow but it’s the same width as my Jasmine although it feels shorter. Maybe that’s why I have some armpit spillage? I always have armpit “fold” in all my bras but this seems more prominent in the Marcie. I’m not sure if this is because the wires are shorter on the sides or the cups are a little too small. I plan to overlap the gore of this bra if I keep it, and I’m worried it’ll make the bra too narrow since it’s the right width now.

The bottom of the cups slants up quite quickly and I feel like I have to pull the bra up but I don’t see empty space near the wires so I guess it’s projected enough?

I have a little bit of quad boob at the top which makes me think the cups might be a bit small, but I’m worried a 28FF would be too big. So I don't really know if I should keep this bra.

Looks good except from the side view I think I see what you mean about the cup being small. It's a half cup too small.

    • With my current experience, I think a unpadded bra with 24.5-25 cm cup depth will be optimal for conical boobs with b. perimeter for about 27 cm. You can click the " explore by measurements" button on the public view page to find a bra with larger cups and narrower center gore.

    • suburbiadaze Yes the quadding can only be seen from a certain angle. I hope to try this bra in 28FF but am trying to sell this and buy a 28FF which will be quicker than arranging an exchange.

smjwzhan My breast perimeter is about 9" and I found that bras with 9" depth fit me best. It's strange the Panache Jasmine and this bra has the same depth but I'm quadding out of this one.

I think maybe it's the center gore problem, it is slightly too tall or wide for you. I have tried some bras with slightly and massively too tall or wide center gores and made a comparison. Bras with slightly gore problems would cut into my center tissue, maybe size up the cups can help, but it can be still uncomfortable. Bras with massively gore problems just floated up and didn't support the boobs properly.

    • smjwzhan I have gore problems on all bras except Comexim because I'm too close-set. I usually overlap the wires myself which makes it comfortable enough. But I need to do it on a bra that already fits well in other aspects. Sadly this is not the one.

Marcie in 30D was my best fitting and most-worn bra when I was a 28DD/30D, so I have also sized up and collected 28E for my current size. However, 28E used to be a little big on me, and recently I've noticed that it's very snug. I decided to try one more size up to 28F since I do wear 28F in some styles. Unfortunately, while 28E is just a little big small now, 28F is definitely too big.

Interestingly, the band on this bra is a little bigger than my Black Marcie in 28E, but this one feels tighter. Both are the older style, ... without the printed underwire, which is the version that fits me best. The band on this is very tight but definitely fastens OK. I usually have some trouble with Marcie's underwires crossing or digging in at the gore until I get the bra adjusted, but in this size, the wires are definitely too high and press into my sternum. The tight band is surely making the issue worse.

The rest of the underwire is OK, and I didn't find that it was too wide or too tall under the arms. The cups are now definitely too deep and too tall for me, as the whole upper part of the cup ends up empty. Ideally, I would have the same cup height as the 28E, but just a little deeper and more projected.

I also noticed on this particular bra that the straps are a little different from expected and are narrower. Once again, this is probably because the bra is an older version, but they are narrower on this bra than on every other Marcie I have tried.

I guess for now, I should stick with the Marcie in 28E and maybe try it with an extender, since loosening the band will also make the cups feel a little roomier. The 28E is still a great fit, it's just super snug on me at the moment.

I like this bra! I'd been dreaming of having a nude Marcie since I saw a photo of one on the "what bra sizes look like" Wordpress, and I was super excited to receive one. It's way small on me -- even my smaller breast gets quadboob when I scoop & swoop or when I lean over, so I'm waiting on a 28FF (bought this one used so can't return it) -- but I like the bra as a whole.
The band was too tight to fasten in front (terrible habit, I know!! I just find it so difficult to fasten bras in the back) when I first ... received it, but after a couple wears it definitely stretched out so that now I could probably stand to wear it on the second tightest hook. It's not wearable under a white shirt because of the polka dots, but hey, that's what my white Corin bra is for!
I find that it gives me a lifted appearance for sure. I like to test out lift by putting on this one tank top I have that makes me look SOOO saggy without a bra, and the Marcie definitely improved that a lot. It kind of has a minimizing effect on me which I dislike, but hopefully the 28FF will solve that by not squishing my breasts into a too-small cup. I think the band might stretch over time more than I'd prefer, but we'll see what happens. It's comfortable to wear and I don't notice its presence during the day. Basically, I like the appearance of the bra itself, but I'm not a huge fan of the shape it gives me.
Assuming Cleo/Marcie is true to size, this tells me that I am almost definitely not a 28F, no matter how much I doubt that I could possibly fill out a FF cup. I'm full on bottom but I have no issues filling out the top of the cup (again, might be different in the FF, which I'll indicate in my review of that one).

    • Yeah it’s not great under white (that’s what red is for), but you can tell it is too small as the gore doesn’t appear to be tacking. Sorry it’s not a good fit. Nude Marcie is a strange fit as it seems to run bigger in some areas than others, but Marcie is highly variable depending on the colour you get. My 30F black and navy don’t fit the same...black is 1/2” taller all over which makes it not fit quite as well.

The band is much tighter / less stretchy then on my blue 28F Marcie (http://bra.pe/XYLq/). Possibly because of the darker color? The cups look the same but also feel very tight. Overall this is more supportive but also very constricting.

My boobs are high up!! Woah!!!
I've been wearing 2 over-worn, stretched-out bras that don't have enough immediate projection, so I'm used to bras sitting too low. I've been working out and fighting against my sugar addiction, so suddenly my body has been changing. Suddenly my breasts are smaller and higher again. It's nice to have a bra with a firm band. I can actually keep the underwires up against my breasts!! The better cup shape helps too. With my band higher, a 28 band almost feels too high. I have a V shaped ribcage, so if I wear a band higher, a 30 might be better. But ... this 28 band stretches to my loose rib, so it's comfortable! The one thing that has always hurt in this bra style is the center gore. OUCH. Still haven't worn it for a full day of work yet. If I could, I'd change the underwires and move the straps in. I don't look super projected in T-shirts, but overall really glad I have a Marcie that fits in my wardrobe again. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Looks gorgeous! Gore looks painful though.

    • Looks lovely except the gore. What is a v shaped rib cage?

This is probably my first bra that stays in place for more than 30 minutes. I'm think I'm fairly even, so you don't need to be FOT to have it fit, at least not in this size. I was slightly worried about the band size, since I have a 28f Freya Deco bras that were my best fit before, and I've read Cleo bands are smaller but the band fits perfectly in the last hook so I hope it doesn't stretch too much. The cups are a bit wide for me, but since everything else seems to fit this is probably my best fitting bra currently. It's very comfortable to wear and it's very cute.

I can't say anything about the quality or durability since I just got it, but overall I have nothing negative to say. It's a beautiful bra that fits.

Bra is overall good, but even if the Marcie has one of the narrowest gores, it is still too wide for my close set breasts. The cups are tighter then the cups on the Cleo Hettie and Jasmine, but still fits me just fine.

Best fitting bra I've owned so far. Band on black runs tight, but I got used to it eventually. Wires a little wide for me, but fine. High gore pokes me though.

Appearance: this bra is lovely. It is less childish in appearance than many Cleo bras, which is a big plus for me. The bottom half of the cup seems to be double lined, so it is not see through (and is also incredibly supportive). The lace panel at the top is see through, and is very pretty with its polka dots without being overly fussy.

Fit: I have narrow roots and am projected with very soft breasts, but my roots are also tall and above the nipple my breasts are shallow. The lower section of the cup fits me perfectly, it allows for ample immediate projection and the wires ... are narrow enough that they don't bother me. The gore is quite high than I like, but this is a balconette so that is expected. It is not uncomfortably tall on me in any case (I do not have much inner-fullness). There is a lot of wrinkling in the lace panel at the top - I definitely need the stretch lace offered in Panache's Andorra bra or a less stiff material to accommodate my shallowness up top. Going down a cup size was not an option for me, as the 28E did not have the projection I need. I am not overly bothered by wrinkling at the top of the cup (I am used to it!) and it does not affect my shape under clothes at all. With that having been said, I am going to try altering the top section as an experiment!

The shape is up front, lifted and round. The material of the cup is supportive enough that it shifts my soft breasts forward and into the classic Cleo basketball shape. Gorgeous under both close fitting and loose tops.

The band is a tight 28. My snug underbust varies between 26.5 and 29, so I am between band sizes. I did not want to size up to a 30 in case the band stretches quite quickly, so I shall be wearing this with an extender. I think I need another inch on the band (if it had been more, I would have sized up).

The wires are very firm. At the moment they feel uncomfortable, but I am used to Freya bras with their super soft wires. And the bra is new - they may soften somewhat over time. Will update if they do.
