About me: 26FF/G, medium projection, even fullness, short roots, close set, average width.

Recently my boobs have changed shape from very FOB and projected to even fullness with wider roots - I didn't even know this was possible. But I'm looking for a seamless t-shirt bra works with this shape because my wacoal is getting quadding on the top/center area. Unfortunately, it didn't work out!

The construction: The cups, band and elastic are super smooth, very nice feeling material. The only not so nice part about this bra is the strap material. They are skinny and kind of sharp along the edges. The foam in the cups is quite thick ... and firm, not soft or elastic. Very opposite of Comexim which I am used to now. They are the type of cups that snap back into shape with an audible pop if you press them. It's not necessarily a good or bad thing, just different.

The fit: This bra only fits me as a strapless 😅 If I put on the bra and leave the straps hanging, it's not so bad! If I put on the straps, they are so wide set that if they go vertically up, they are off my shoulders. I have to angle them sharply inwards in to sit on my shoulders, causing the strap to rotate and warp the cup, causing gapping. Other than that: the band runs small, stretching to 27" which fits me well (might be because this is a black bra), the cup depth and height are good, and the gore is too wide, causing the wires to sit on my boobs and cause gapping (but if the bra had otherwise fit I'd be ok overlapping the gore myself).

  2. ORIGINAL REVIEW AND PICTURES (April 2019):
I have a 33" snug underbust, so sometimes prefer a 32 and sometimes a 34. I wasn't able to find a 32FF in this bra, but I'm happy with the 34F. It fits well. The band is quite firm which allows the 34 to work for me.

Most excitingly, this is the best T-shirt bra I have found for my breast shape. While most T-shirt bras do not have enough projection at the wire, the Cleo Maddie actually does. In fact, it has a beautiful shape that complements my body nicely. I expected the lace at the top of the cup to show ... through shirts, but it doesn't seem to. I think the lace hides under shirts better than a smooth cup because there is a softer transition between bra and breast. Having said that, molded cups do not move with the body as well as sewed cups do. This bra is no exception to that, so it does gape a little when I move my arms around. That doesn't bother me, but it may bother someone else. I think this is exasperated by the wide set of the straps. If I let them go straight up, they would sit over my armpit. However, I haven't had any trouble pulling them into the correct place on my shoulder. The straps are pretty firm elastic, so they stay where you put them. The only downside is this makes the gaping where the strap meets the cup a little worse.

Anyway, I'm happy to have found this bra. I haven't had it long enough to know how it holds up over time, but it seems to be built well.

    UPDATE (November 2021):
This was absolutely my go-to bra for the past two years. It fit me well and held up to regular wear, so I am sad that it no longer fits. Why doesn't it fit? I am currently 24 weeks pregnant and have gained some breast tissue. My current measurements put me into a 34G or 34GG. My breasts no longer fit the shape of this bra well. Instead, they push the underwire down in an effort to get more space in the cup. This means the wire is ~1.5" below my IMF and creates a crease in the bottom of the cup. Additionally, there is significant quadding at the top of both cups. The gore floats about 1" off my sternum. Overall, the bra feels tight despite the band being the correct size (because there isn't enough space in the cups. The worst part for me is that the bra has been discontinued for a long time so I can't even try the correct size for my current measurements. I'll be very sad if I can never have my "holy grail" bra back.

Honestly, I meant to buy a UK 38F but was sent a US F. The bra looks great and fits pretty well! I imagine it would feel amazing if I had been sent the proper size.

I have wide spaced, extra wide boobs, short roots, not sure about shallowness or projection, but I'm fairly certain I am center full.
This is my best fitting bra, even if its not Perfect. I overspill a little at the center. Makes a great rounded shape, a bit cake on the plate kind of cleavage. I have it in 28ff also, for that time of the month that my boobs are slightly bigger.
Straps are super short, even for me who has extra short shoulders and they are vety stiff and uncomfortable. They dig in the skin no matter how loose they are just becausr of the fabric they are ... made of. They are also very widely spaced and dig in my underarms which creates or exacerbates armpit fat.

It makes for a great cleavage and tshirt bra, but is in no way a fancy bra.

The 28 is very stiff and somewhat on the small side. I would have been better with a 30, and I am usually between a 28 and a 30. When I put an extender the shape distorts and doesnt fit me as well. I like a firm band anyway, so I make do.

Gore is high to account for my center fullness but I would have liked it even higher.

Wires are very stiff. Great support overall.

I love the style of this bra! I love the very round, but also projected cups. They run small, so size up. Band is very tight and firm for a 28. Straps very separated, but I'm ready to live with it. High gore is ok for my center fullness and its almost a straight line across, which is what i want. But I still have a bit of center spillage and some space at the outer corners. Straps are super uncomfortable and short. Wide wires. Will order in a bigger sister size.

  6. I'm not sure how I forgot to review Maddie as it was one of the first Cleo bras I ever tried in my size of 28DD, and one of the first that fit me in this new size. At the time, I found the band to be comfortably snug and was impressed with the lift and rounded shape that the cups gave me, but thought the wide strap placement was a bit irritating by the arms. I later tried a 28E when I still measured 28DD and it was predictably too big.

Now, this bra is laughably short on me, and I've found that there is not ... enough projection even though the openness of the cup does allow it to accommodate a bit more fullness, making it a good choice for hormonal fluctuations. It no longer gives me the nice rounded shape I used to get, though I get pretty impressive Marie Antoinette cleavage since it only covers half my breasts in my current size. I tried to order this again in 28E, but Amazon accidentally sent me an entirely different bra, so I guess it's not meant to be.

After trying on more bras with this kind of shape, I've concluded that bras with short, open cups, a low gore, and wide set straps don't work well on me. These bras tend to run shallow in cup shape, but while they sit nicely when I'm standing up straight, the wide set straps and open cups gap whenever I move. So, while 28E would have more projection and taller cups, the width of the strap placement would still cause this problem to happen. This bra is shallow-friendly and good for tall roots, and can accommodate varying amounts of upper fullness. The cups are quite wide so the proportions are difficult for narrow frames or narrow roots.

I remember trying this style and Lexi at the same time, but ended up preferring this style. Though both fit similarly, Lexi had a really visible top edge that was obvious under clothing. The lace upper cup trim on Maddie is a little more subtle, though it appears wider.

The main theme of Maddie is contrasting texture, and the main fabric of this bra is a shadow stripe with textured ribbing that is echoed in the strap elastic (same elastic as Hettie). I like that the fabric has visual texture but doesn't show under clothing, and is soft to touch. The cups are a little thick for my tastes and are a little firmer than other molded T-shirt type bras in my collection. I really liked the firm band on this style, as it is made from the same stretch body fabric and lined with powermesh, so it is extra firm and stable despite the wings being on the narrow side. Other than the lace on the upper cup, the only decoration is a simple button at the gore covered in textured fabric.

I'm unsure if I will give Maddie another try knowing what I know now about cup shapes that suit my body. Though this bra runs a little small on me, it does give a nice push up effect, so I might still pull this out of the collection every once in a while for special outfits, but it isn't suitable as an everyday T-shirt bra for me.

    Didn't fit

At the time I purchased this bra, I measured 28DD and thought that Maddie in 28DD fit well but the cups were a bit shallow, so I tried to size up to 28E to see if I could get some more room in the cups. However, the 28E at the time was much too large on me. Maddie is already a wide style with wide-set straps, and in 28DD I get gapping when I move. The 28E had a bit more depth and cup height, but I couldn't fill out the upper cup and the gapping issue was much worse. This is a very shallow-friendly style and doesn't really suit my average projected shape.

I'd like to get my hands on this size again as I now measure 28E, but I also feel that this kind of open cup with wide set straps is difficult on me as the gapping issue is inevitable due to my narrow frame.

Firm wires and band. Barely stretches to fit marked band size. Cup volume is oddly large.

Pulling out some older bras I know dont work for help to see where to go next. Center gore angles outward and sigs on breast tissue. Bottom of the cups are a bit empty, and wires are definitely too wide. It goes near the straps and gets worse as the day goes on.
