    Didn't fit

This bra is often touted as being great for shallow breasts, which I thought I had. Apparently I do not, because the top edges of this bra stuck out and the large gap shows under my shirt. Normally this would be due to the bra being too small, however: the cup depth on this Maddie measures 6.3 inches. On the bra I've been wearing all day today (my old 30D - Cleo » Jo (5696) ) the cup depth is almost 7 inches -- at least a half inch difference. My actual breast perimeter, braless, is close to 8". Therefore, ... I believe that my boobs are forcing the cups to stick outward because they can't fit into the stiff cup material. I may try the 30DD in this, or I may just try the Cleo Juna (6461) , which I've been curious about for a while.

I have the 30D - Cleo » Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7091) aqua leopard print (from 2013) in size 30D and it fits beautifully, so unlike other reviewers I do NOT find these two versions of Maddie to be identical. My old Maddie is slightly deeper in the cup -- almost 1/2".

Aside from the fit issues, this is a decent bra. The cups are fairly thick foam -- feels like 1/4 to 3/8". Much thicker than I'm used to from Cleo. The color is your standard nude, nothing to write home about but I'm on the hunt for a plain t-shirt bra.

    *** UPDATE ***
I have ordered the Cleo Juna in 30DD and the Cleo Neve in 32D and will post the results as soon as I receive them. Though I almost always wear 30D, I chose these sizes based on Bratabase reports and previous experience with different Cleo shapes.

    *** UPDATE II ***
The Neve in 32D worked out; the Juna in 30DD did not. See reviews here: 32D - Cleo » Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196) and here: 30DD - Cleo » Juna (6461)

The cups are far too tall for me and too high in the armpit. They also cut in drastically at the top. This doesn't cause quadding because the end of the cup is so high up my root. Instead, it just hurts my chest. The wires are too wide and the cup gives me a weird, oblong bullet shape (maybe because of my pendulous/soft tissue). I know a lot of people swear by this half cup, but it gives me such a weird shape and is so shallow on top; it's incredibly uncomfortable. It's the most torturous of any bra I've tried.

I have wide, even breasts with tall, shallow roots.

This material the outer cup is lined with is so soft! I can't stop touching it when I first put on the bra, lol.

This bra is shallow and runs about a cup size small. The 30E fits my 28E breasts pretty well, with some minimal gapping at top. The top of the cup has some lacey-esque trim, which makes it show through some of my tight tops--this means it may not be the best choice for a t-shirt bra, depending on the outfit.

I have shallow wide root boobs that are splayed and have been having no luck finding bras, but I think this one may actually work for me.

I really like the boost this bra gives to my boobs, the band fits well and the straps are not too uncomfortable. There is an ever so slight gap near my armpits, but it's hardly noticeable and the bra looks great under shirts.

This bra does not fit me. As my breasts are full-on-bottom/even and projected, this bra causes a large quad-boob effect as the cups are not deep enough for me. It would be better for someone who is more full-on-top, with less projection. The band is far too tight. As I measure at 29 inches for my ribcage, I am right between sizes, but in this bra I would definitely need to size up to a 30. I had to buy an extender just to make the band comfortable.

This was my first foray into online bra shopping with my size and shape from /r/abrathatfits, and I did not do enough homework! The bra is way too small.

Otherwise, the bra has great shape and sturdy build. The band holds its position and the material is comfortable. If you are confident in your shape and size as a shallow/FoT 28FF, this bra will likely work very well for you.

I am so excited to find this bra. I have been unsuccessful with moulded cups due to my soft full on bottom shape. I usually have a ton of empty space in the top of the cup. This bra is different. I still have empty space on my smaller side (plus the bra arrived squished on that side so it is poking out a bit there too). However on my larger side it fits perfectly. It lifts from the root and gives a nice bit of cleavage. The shape is perfect. It is a little plungy but my soft tissue doesn't spill out into the middle. The band seems pretty firm, which is good because I had to order the 30F because the 28FF was sold out in Black and the "Nude" that they had is not nude on me. I am glad that I read the reviews that the cup runs small. I definitely would overflow a smaller cup. I am a 28F in my Bella, and Lucy, and Millie. I have the Marcie in a 30E.

Wow! I'd ruled Cleo out for my shallow wide rooted boobs, after trying several on in Bravissimo over the last year. I've tried Meg bird print which is gorgeous and Lily (stunning!) but they were just sooo wrong for my shape that I almost wept. I wrote Cleo off as pretty, but just seriously incompatible with my shape. However, I recently realised that my previously perfect fitting 30DD Deco half cup and Ashlee half cup were now giving me undeniable quad boob and the bands have stretched out quite significantly, so much so that the Deco half cup is unbearable on certain days due to constantly ... having to lift my straps back up, grrr!
I realised I'd gone from having a handful of well fitting smooth tshirt bras that I wear to work to having just one decent(ish!) bra, and therefore needed to get some more straightforward simple moulded bras. I found this badboy on Amazon for £7.50 in a 30E and thought it was worth a go. I also bought a Neve (not good...the only bra I've ever actually tried that was TOO SHALLOW for me!) but that went straight back.
So....what a shocker, Maddie fits BEAUTIFULLY! I was worried it may be too deep a cup for me and possibly too narrow wires (the 30DD Cleos I've tried, whilst being v.different styles to Maddie, have always had too narrow wires). But it's spot on! In a 30E the wires are perfectly wide, there's no gaping at all at the top but no quad boob either. My days of too long straps are over - the Maddie straps are sooo short! I wore it today with the straps the loosest they could go, and it was perfect, they didn't budge!
The band is fairly snug, and I'm really hoping it stays that way and doesn't stretch out too quickly.
It's a fairly nice looking bra, I wish it was a different colour, but hey ho, a perfectly fitting functional bra for £7.50, I can't really complain! (but if this style came in purple...ooh or a dark green, woah, it'd be STUNNING!). Top notch, v.impressed. Very comfortable, literally the stuff bra dreams are made of!

I had high hopes for this bra. It's my first moulded cup since my foray into bras that actually fit. I have only tried cut and sew in my new size. This Maddie is a basic nude but also has a nice pattern in the front and I liked the added lace trim. It's pretty smooth under shirts but I could see the bit of lace at the top of the cup. This isn't a deal breaker for me because I don't really mind if anyone can see the outline of my bra. The cups of this bra were too wide for me and I had empty space ... in the sides of the cups by my armpits but I also had a bit of quad boob at the top of the cup. I don't think it will be possible to size down in this bra because I will get even worse quad boob. Overall it felt nice, the fabric was very soft and it seems like it would be a comfortable bra. I guess I will stick to cut and see. I prefer them to the stuff moulded cups.

It is a nice bra. Well made and generally comfortable. The straps do rub a little bit as I think the straps are a little wide. Not a bad bra though.

  10. Thank goodness I size up because molded bras are notorious for being shallow.
