I have actually had this bra for about five months now, so I think I have given it a reasonable test drive. This is the Neon, which wasn't my first choice. It was supposed to be Malibu Blue, but Breakout Bras ran out of my size https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
My measurements for reference: snug 32, BTT 30.5, standing 38.5, leaning 41, lying 38. Pendulous, projected, narrowish short root, FOB/even. I have a lot of outside fullness, if that's a thing.
Band is snug but comfortable on loosest hooks, even after five months wear. Gore tacks as well as it can on my wonky ribcage. Wires are ...a little bit wide, but not enough to bother me. Cups just about perfect, no quadding, just a slight bit of wrinkling at the bottom. The side profile is ... spectacular. I have never in my life had boobs that perky!
So, it fits. But there are a few issues.
The wires have very little padding. I have funny rib flares which tend to make banded bras slide down in front and curl up, so bandless styles like Lucy tend to work better for me in terms of keeping the wires in place. But oh my goodness, I wouldn't mind a little more padding on those wires!
I also have a bit of that in-cup quad boob going on. Probably because my tissue is so soft. It's not bad and I don't wear clingy clothes much, so not a serious issue.
The bra is cute if somewhat garish in this colourway. I am not a personal fan of embroidered bras, but it's grown on me.
Before I found ABTF, I would have considered this a bra of unparalleled awesomeness, but of course now I know it's not perfect. However, it is pretty damn good.
ORANGE/WHITE - Band is much more comfortable than the same bra in purple. Cute; gives a round uplifted shape. Under wires stab me so hard under the arms - absolutely can't wear it. I had to go braless after wearing the Lucy for one day because my arm pits were so irritated/inflamed/RAW.
PURPLE - Band is tight and scratchy, more so than my Lucy in the orange/white colorway. Cute; gives a round uplifted shape. Under wires stab me so hard under the arms - absolutely can't wear it. I had to go braless after wearing the Lucy for one day because my arm pits were so irritated/inflamed/RAW.
This bra is very pretty! (I have the red one) The cups fit nicely around the whole boob. The shape is nice, quite round but not too round https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The band was originally very tight, but it stretches with wear so it's good now.
If you have narrow boobs, you may like this bra! My tissue sits almost completely on the front of my torso, and these are the best-fitting underwires I've tried yet. The band is comfortably tight, probably due to how stretchy it is. The cups are relatively well-suited for my full-on-bottom and projected shape. The lace is slightly loose on top of my smaller breast, but it's not noticeable under clothes. The lace, I find slightly irritating near my arm, but that will go away after a wash and a few wears. I would prefer if the straps were placed closer together (which would also eliminate the irritating part entirely, I suspect), but they mostly stay in place and do not slip off my shoulders.
As it gives a nice shape and the underwires fit proper, I'll likely pick the Lucy up in another color or two.
This was a good "diagnostic" bra, in that it helped me figure out that I'm a shallow 32FF rather than a 32F. But there were a few issues that prevented me from keeping it.
Even though it fit me very well visually, the primary cause I had for returning this bra was the underwire noise. Every little move I made would cause the underwire to creak and squeak.
The cups gapped slightly at the top for me, enough that it was visible under most shirts. The bra gave me a pointier shape in side profile than I like. It stabbed me a bit under the arms and didn't fully contain my sideboob.
The design was cute, but I'm personally not used to unlined bras.
This was one of the only nonpadded bras I was willing to try, and sadly I'm a bit disappointed. The bra looks okay once I've got it adjusted in the right place, which is a bit tricky. There is a little tissue out to the sides, and a firm swoop and scoop brings it in and produces a quad boob that is slightly visible under clothes, particularly on my larger side. The shape is much better than other bras like this I've tried, but still too natural for my taste. From the side and top, I felt my boobs looked very small; I tried to imagine my padded ...bras in this material, and I still don't think they would look that small. I wore it for one day, and while it was comfortable, I did not feel comfortable wearing it- almost like I didn't have a bra on, and I felt very exposed. I may exchange this bra for the proper size and wear it occasionally as it is very pretty, but otherwise I don't think this bra is for me. Read more 73 more words
I was initially skeptical that an soft cup bra would provide good shape and support, but I was pleasantly surprised. I think this bra is very cute, especially the navy and pink design. The cup allows for more projection and doesn't flatten your boobs against your chest. The band is nice and tight. The underwires are kind of exposed and unpadded and sometimes they poke. I bent the wires to make them more comfortable. There's a little bit of gapping at the top where the lace on my smaller breast, but no gapping on the larger breast if I scoop and swoop.
