    Didn't fit

I'm finding lately I'm a 28G or so in molded cups, and a 28FF in most unlined bras. Is it common to be a size down in unlineds? Works the same for the Freya unlined bra I tried vs their padded half cups or Decos. Anyways, I searched high and low for a 28FF swan print and couldn't find it anywhere, and since I wanted to try this bra so bad and was so in love with the swan print, I settled on a sister size and prayed the band would run tight.

Well, it's not a tight band, but I've worn worse. It's on the ... middle set of hooks. I think the swan print is a love/hate thing - either it's your thing or it's not. I think it's quirky and cute and different.

I really, really, really like this bra. Even though it's not perfect, I like it a million times better than the Lucy, because it's not mesh and not lace and doesn't itch! At all! That's huge for my sensitive skin. I like it enough I've worn it the last two days.

There's wrinkling at the top in my smaller breast and minor quadding in my bigger breast when freshly scooped. I swear that's a problem in every single bra. My right boob would be swimming in a 28G or 30FF though. The quadding goes away as my boob "settles" - someone on ABTF mentioned it could be because I have soft tissue and it's easy to over-scoop tissue into a bra that isn't really breast tissue, and since my tissue is soft it settles down quickly. It made sense.

This is the narrowest cup width I've tried to date, measuring 5.25. It's not uncomfortable, although I feel like maybe the wings and/or wire come up a bit short on my left & bigger side. I took my 5.5" wide Deco off a couple nights ago and took pictures of the wire indentation marks and they're spaced away from where I believe my root is, and also below my IMF, so I really think narrower and more projection is better for me, assuming I've correctly identified my actual root.

When I raise my arm, there's a vertical wrinkle all up the side of the cup, I have no clue why. This is the first bra I've ever owned that brings my boobs to the center and into my frame. It's crazy! It feels like a very uplifted, rounded, centered shape, and it's good enough that I might hunt around for another one.

From what I've heard it's pretty normal to be a size smaller in unlined styles. For some reason, unlined cups tend to fit a little deeper than foam cups.

This is the first bra I've bought that was both cute and remotely in my size, so of course I love it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> It's very comfortable, but if you're FOB (I am), the top of the cups may be a little loose/wrinkle. This isn't noticeable under shirts.

    Hasn't set fit

This bra fits fantastically. It provides a very forward projection, similar to the @panache jasmine - BUT, it is a more secure feel because there is no stretch lace. I am quite happy with this bra. I didn't know how I would feel about the print but it is gorgeous and it makes me feel very cute and youthful.

***Update*** This bra fit amazingly when first purchased. After I couple months, I noticed this bra and my other Lily were cutting into my shoulders SEVERELY - causing pain, chaffing, and extremely dry skin. I believe the straps were always too far apart. As ... the band stretched out, more of my weight was being supported by the straps. Causing them to feel like they were pretty much cutting my arms right off. I have always had permanent gouges in my shoulders from bras, but never was required to actually treat the affected skin with a healing ointment. I really loved the Lily at first and you can get them for a bargain off ebay BUT... the issues I had from the 3 - 6 month period of the bras cause me serious reticence.

Yes! I am so excited to find a near perfect bra.
Let's get into why I think it's "near" perfect.
I have high roots, and have to hike up any bra I wear fairly high on my body. Luckily, I also have a long torso, so it doesn't make me look odd, but in some bras, it can be uncomfortable under the arms. This bra doesn't bother my armpits, but the straps could stand to be a smidgen away from my arms. It's not horrible, or a deal breaker, but I would want a tiny bit of space between my arms and the straps. Which is amazing, since ... I do have wide shoulders, so ... That said. I do have a bit of room on my highest and smallest breast at the very bottom of the cup which causes my tissue to slid down and therefore the wire is not in the fold. I'm thinking the ONLY way to remedy this is to get one of those silicone pad/ bra cookie/chicken cutlet type of things and just slide it in, and therefore it would keep my breast tissue up, and the bra would do the rest. Really like the way the bra rises up and out on an incline from the bottom, it helps keep my soft breast in place better than bras that my tissue just sits into, if that makes sense.
All in all, I really like this bra and want to find the other colorways available.

    • I have just got the Erin which I think is the latest version, Cleo seem to change this one regularly compared to Lucy and Marcie. I think Meg may have been a previous version too but from what I have read was tricky to fit. I have myself only just really discovered Cleo and feell like I'm going on about them all the time!

    • Okay, I need to check out the stats on Erin then. I have Meg on my list. I have a Marcie but in a 32F which is too small in the cups.

  5. This is my favorite! I now have it in two colors! Round shape, minimal gapping, and only on the smaller side. Great support! The band fits true to size for Cleos and the fabric is sturdy. It's smooth enough to wear under things, although the colors are pretty loud. I have the Aqua and pink color way and the parrot print. Now I want the magenta and the swans! For the record, I did not think that my breasts were the right shape for this sort of bra at all, as I thought of myself as sort of wide and shallow and needing a low gore when I first started this journey. That's because I can pull off bras like the Deco and the Darcy, but this is my new fave, so maybe I was wrong about my shape.

    • Brahaphobic, did you find the swan print to be closer to the parrots in size? Or does it run smaller, like the Aqua?

This bra is for sure too big for me.
I have now tried every size other than the one I likely need in this cut or sister cut (28DD, 28E & 28FF). I love the darker colorways and really think this fabric is cute! Should have gone with my gut and strayed from this size, but I couldn't help it!
Anyone with a 28F in this or a sister cut care to trade?!

I bought the Lily along with the Marcie and Lucy as a sort of shape test to find out which type of bras I should be looking for. I like the bold and colourful style of the Lily quite a lot, both in this and other colourways. The wires in this size are relatively narrow, certainly far more so than the unlined Freyas I've tried in the same size, and they have more of a roundish shape rather than the 'swoosh' shape of the Cleo Marcie. The construction of the top of the cups is a little bit odd - there's a sort of pocket formed by the ... stripe and the material directly below it, which tends to wrinkle if you're not projected at just that point. However this isn't visible under clothing and the bra is therefore still wearable even if you don't fit that part of the cup perfectly. While the band is quite tight, I found it to be more comfortable and to need less 'wearing in' than the Marcie.

In terms of fit, the Lily came closer to fitting me than the Marcie and Lucy in the same size, both of which were clearly too small and, in the case of the latter, possibly also the wrong shape. When I first put the Lily on, I get wrinkles in the cups due to my boobs not being able to fit into them, and cutting in along the orange stripe, leading to quad boob directly above it. However after I've worn the bra for a little while, both these problems lessen, as if my boobs jiggle themselves into the cups as the day progresses! While the very round shape of the cups isn't especially flattering on me without clothes - I think it has a slight 'pancake' effect on my smaller boob! - the bra gives a very nice and uplifted shape under clothes, especially considering it's unlined. I also like that this bra allows for quite a bit of centre-fullness. I frequently find with a lot of other bras that the tops of the cups cut in near the gore, even where the bra is too big overall. This isn't a problem with the Lily.

I also own this bra in a 28E and that size fits reasonably well too, probably better than the 28DD on my larger boob, but the top of the cup wrinkles a bit on my smaller boob. Again though, that isn't visible under clothing. The main difference in fit between the two sizes is just that the smaller size gives me a slightly rounder and more uplifted shape. Despite it not being a perfect fit on me, I generally like this bra a lot and am glad I managed to pick up a couple very cheaply now it's being discontinued - hope the 'new Lily' is just as nice!

It's actually not being discontinued entirely. It's getting replaced by the Erin, which looks to have the same cut but comes in far fewer sizes. It does not come in 28 bands at all and only comes in cups E-H in band size 30.

    • Thanks, yeah I was just looking at Bravissimo's site and noticed that it only starts at 30E. I'm well and truly sized out of it!

I have even fullness, average projection, and roots in the averageish range. I find both the Cleo Lucy (better for FOB) and the Cleo Marcie (better for FOT) wearable, but I wish the Lucy had a bit more room in the top of the cup and the Marcie a bit less. The Lily is said to be better for breasts with even fullness, so I had high hopes for it, until I got it and realized it's just a slightly improved version of the Cleo Meg.

The navy parrot print Lily fits very similarly to the Meg in the same size (30FF), except for slightly narrower wires and less ... of the Meg's weird little bubble of fabric between the horizontal cup seam (which fits me smoothly) and the top of the cup (which also fits me smoothly). There's still a little bit of wrinkling in between, but not a bubble of fabric as in the Meg. The line of coral mesh that runs below the top of the cup seems like it might be cutting in the tiniest bit, but the top of the cup itself does not cut in. I think you'd need short roots, a fair amount of top-center fullness, and high-set breasts for the Lily to fit right. It's not quite as tricky to fit as the Meg, but it's still tricky.

The center gore is fine in both height and width, but the wires are too low under my arms. I'd like a couple more inches of wire under my arms in the Lily. It looks fine under clothes (rounded, with none of the Meg's "elf-shoe" effect) and I got it on sale, so I'll keep it, but I won't be buying this cut again. So my search for the perfect even fullness/average projection bra goes on!
