    Didn't fit

note: I ordered this before my size change. This is why I didn't originally get the 30GG.

I really like this bra, but I don't think it fits. What I'm afraid of is that in 30GG the wires would be a little too wide for me. However, if I can still find it I *might* give it a try. However, my boobs really feel like they're at the point where neither of these sizes will fit just right.

The cups on this one are very sturdy, I like that. They're three part cups with a horizontal and a vertical seam. They provide very good lift and for me (weirdly) a ... pretty nice, rounded shape as well. I say weirdly, because despite Cleo bras being a success for many, they are not a success for me. I still shudder to think of bullet boob Marcie. But I quite like the side view in this bra. I get some side spillage on my larger side and obviously, the lack of stretch in the cups makes it so I get some slight in-cup quadding. Nothing too bad, though, and I think under a thicker shirt it wouldn't show. On my smaller side I get both in cup quadding, and then I can't quite fill out the top part of the cup.
Along the wire I get some wrinkling, probably because the cups are just plain too small.
I will say though, I think this bra has the perfect projection at the wire for me. Feels really good to have cups that are so wonderfully deep in all the right places. This is mainly why I'm considering getting this in 30GG.

The wires on this one are quite narrow, but I don't know why, it's as if my roots have expanded horizontally, these wires just don't feel so well. Again, perhaps it has to do with the cups just being small and my boobs feeling squished, but I feel as if the wires are just about sitting on my breast tissue and overall it's very uncomfortable feeling. The gore is narrow and tacks perfectly as usual.

The band is nice and snug, not too tight but it doesn't budge when I move and I like that a lot. It only has two hooks https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />.

I wish the straps on this were thicker https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Thin straps + big boobs is a bad combination. There is some serious weight there, please bra companies, take note. It needs to be distributed better. The straps feel like they're long enough but after 5 minutes they start cutting in cause they're getting pulled on.

Overall, I like Lily. A lot. The print is gorgeous. There's only one in 30GG left, I might get it but we shall see. I'll decide today.
On a different note, this bra is discontinued, is there a replacement for it?

Try the 30GG for the love of bra science? :-D

It is a lovely print, sorry it wasn't a great fit. I wonder if the 30GG would have wider straps? 0.6" is quite narrow indeed!

    • 2

I just don't understand the narrow straps! They're extremely uncomfortable especially when they're so tense because I have to loosen them all the way (and could do with a little more, but this is passable).

I might try the 30GG, we will see. I'm quite ready to give up on Cleo bras.

    • 1

That is understandable. I wasn't fond of Cleo, though I only tried 2 and one of them was too small so not a lot of experience to go by.... :-/

Skip it and go with a nice Polish brand instead. :-D

    • 1

Cleo is supposed to be marketed to young women. Maybe young women hate thick straps? That’s all I can think of.

    • Or Cleo/Panache think younger women are too naive to realize they are less supportive?

    • 1

Young women only wear spaghetti straps I guess!

    • 1

      Implying I'm old :P

    • 1

      You’re younger than me. 😃

    • I am older than you brasaremean so to me you would be young. :-D

    • Sovavosi that could be! All the pretty replacement straps they sell on Amazon are really narrow. Such a bummer as a lot of them are really cute!!

    • 2

Lol yeah I think so maybe. Tho I think even a 15 year old with 28HH would prefer thicker straps.

    • For comfort, yes, but if fashion is their focus then sadly no. You see that a lot here in the US....Of course that goes hand in hand with so many thinking they are a 34/36C/D/DD instead of 30/32G/GG/+ so......

    • 1

I love my Cleo thin straps and I’m 44, but my volume is also slightly smaller than yours. I’m still undecided about the 30FF. It says sold out along with the 28G Red Lucy, but I’m not sure if it’s really sold out or if they forgot to put it back on the site after they had held them for me for a week. I’m not convinced that it will fit and I’m not sure if I want to deal with the return policy and restocking fees or chance it by selling it here. I feel like I would be fine with the 30FF in my aqua Lily but that the swans is a larger fit.

I do really love the shape of the Lily though, so if it’s really still there, I’m still a bit curious.

I think that it looks brilliant on you but I can see how you’d want to try them both.

    • 1

Definitely feel very 'constricted' in it. But yes so far Lily has the best shape for me of all the Cleo (and Panache tbh) bras.

    • 3

brasaremean As you told me before, don't wear it if it's like that... yesterday the bottom of my Crazy felt tight and my boobs still feel "off" today. :|

      Don't do it!

    • 2

      I won't :(

    • I never thought about the thin straps before I had bras with wider ones. Once I had wider ones, the narrow ones felt weird to me.
If you are able to get the intended support from the band though, I'm sure the straps wouldn't be as much of a concern. My bands on the otherhand often lack that needed support so I do rely more on my straps for lift than I should, even when I have them loosened for comfort.

    • 1

I actually just used to wear strapless because straps always bothered me.
But I was a teeny 28DD back then. I don't think I could get away with strapless now lol.

    • Strapless? I don't even know what those are anymore......

    • 1

      Exactly lol.

    Fits

About me: size 30FF/G or 32F/FF but most comfortable in 30G. Very projected, close set breasts with short and narrow roots. Even vertical fullness and center full. Best fitting bra is Cleo Hettie in 30G.

I think that this is the one! I'm so sad that this bra is discontinued because it is my best fit yet! The gore is low enough that it actually tacks and only digs into my breast a little (I have this happen with pretty much anything that isn't a plunge, and my tissue is too soft and center full for plunges to really work on me). I don't have any quadding, ... and the cups give me a completely round and uplifted shape that reminds me of a grapefruit.

The only thing that I dislike about this bra is the color. The blue and pink are a just too cotton candy/bubblegum for me, so I'd like to dye this to a darker color if possible. I'm pretty young, but I've never been super girly (I prefer things that are more delicate and feminine) so this is just my preference.

Wonderful! You may fit Curvy Kate Daydreamer and Vegas, too. But, their aesthetics may not appeal either ;-) However, if you prefer narrower bands and narrower straps, Cleo is your brand.

    • Love4Pollinators Thanks for the recommendations! I've always had a problem with how CK bras look, but I actually like the Daydreamer a lot. I've been on the hunt for a yellow bra for a while now, so I'm hoping that one in my size will turn up.

    • 1

      http://bra.pe/MFv6/
Sometimes these models are confusing: Dreamcatcher comes in yellow, but Daydreaner does not....yet. Daydreamer has more center projection and narrower wires than Dreamcatcher.

    • 1

Lily comes in difference prints too. There is a navy one with small parrots.

    • 2

Bella and Ellis are very very similar shaped also to Lily

    • 1

Love4Pollinators sorry, my reading comprehension is clearly not the best today. The daydreamer isn't too bad though. It's difficult to find bras like this, so I'll take what I can get.

    • 2

revisa i actually just bought the parrot print lily and I'm waiting for it to arrive! I really like that print so I'm super excited. I have the Ellis in 32F and I like it, but it's a little too small so I'm trying to find a 32FF or 30G. I just got the Pixie (supposed to be similar to Ellis) in 30G today and I love it :)
      Is the Bella by Cleo?

    • 2

Bella is by Cleo too. I'm trying to think which other ones I've tried that were very similar. My parrots lily has lasted forever

    • zygonsbzygons I have confused them several times myself and I cannot attribute the confusion to reading comprehension. ;-) The bra names cause identical "dream and sleep" associations which I have not yet rectified. Geez.

Me: narrow, projected, FoT, close-set, center-full, soft tissue.

Good feeling of support. I see more fit issues than I feel. Gore a finger-width of tacking. In-cup quadding along the cup seams (the joys of soft tissue), center-quadding. Cups seem to be open enough, and band feels nice and firm. I adore the colors. Up a cup size or 2 would probably be a better fit, but this bra is discontinued so it's impossible to find.

This bra fits true to size in the band and the cups.

I'm somewhat narrow, short rooted, mostly even, and quite projected, and this bra works very well for that.

I was so excited to finally find a Lily in my size, as it seems to be a very popular option in my size range. This bra was slightly too large in the cup, I think my ideal size would be a 28G. However, my breasts are also a very strange shape in this bra--I've attached photos trying to show this, but the outer sides of the cup are completely flat, while my breasts are slung forward and centered--its quite a strange look, and one I can't imagine most people get in the Lily. I'm not sure why I'm having this issue, perhaps it is due to my heavy breasts or very soft tissue, but those are just guesses. I had the same issue with the 28G - Cleo » Minnie Balconnet Bra (7431) . Its rather disappointing, because I love everything else about this bra--great colors, comfortable, and great proportions on cup width and wing height.

    • Hmm. I had the same thing happen to me. I wonder if it's just because the cup is too big or something?

    • Me, too. For me, it was very off-putting. But, the round globes this bra creates are beautiful :-)

I wish! I didn't mind the flattened sides (it was nice having my breasts straight in front of me) so much, but a combination of the cup being too big and deep and my root being too short made the shape pointy for me. And I don't think it would have been fixed in a smaller size. Though I would like to try sometime. I loved the uplift I got in this bra and it looks so lovely on most people.

This magenta is larger in band and cup than my 30G aqua. The band is perfect for me, same as my 30FF magenta, but the cups are too large (very loose on top). This is frustrating because I have a 30FF magenta, and the cups are just a wee bit too small than is proper for me in that one. Oh well!

Bought at the beginning of my bra-fitting journey while still figuring out my shape before moving to Polish brands. At the time it was probably the first bra that managed to stay in my IMF, and I loved, loved, loved the profile view, which is absolutely perfectly round and super ideal; it seems to lift the bust in a way that makes your waist more visible by comparison. However, this bra no longer fits as I have lost a little weight and therefore the upper tissue needed to fill it out completely. The aqua blue and pepto-bismol pink reminds me of the 1950's... it's bright, fun, happy and very youthful looking, and though I appreciate that aesthetic I tend to stick with EM's more subdued-colored SM cuts these days.

Initially I had problems with my Cleos when I first got them - the straps seemed to want to cut my arms off and the centre gores seemed too wide. I guess I've grown into them because they're now my favourite bras and I no longer have those issues.

As with all of my Cleos, the wires are possibly a bit wide for my chest but they're comfortable and leagues ahead of anything else I've tried.

So obviously this bra is too big. I ordered it on a whim a good while back because it was cheap and I was figuring out my size.

Weirdly, the gore on this one feels fine, but the gore on my 30FF digs into my sternum uncomfortably. Not sure why.

It's comfy, and not absurdly too big. I think I'm going to keep it around in preparation for the next time my breasts grow (as I sadly suspect they will continue to do).

EDIT: Boobs have since grown, bra now fits excellently. Pictures now out of date.
