    Fits

Very cute bra that fits great. I love the little hearts and the centre bow. The top lace is completely flat against my breast. The bottom portion is semi-sheer and the top is sheer. I also own the matching brief in size small. My hope is to keep collecting full sets and I'm looking forward to Cleo's autumn/winter 2015 designs and colours.

    • I freakin LOVE this color!

    • 1

My pictures are pretty close to the true colour. The stock photo on here isn't very accurate.

    • This looks amazing on you. Gives you a fantastic shape. :)

    • Thank you! Cleo is definitely a favourite brand of mine.

    30H

    Fits

I purchased the bright blue colorway...I just couldn't resist that color! This is my first 30H in Cleo. All of my other Cleo's are 30GG (or sister sizes 32G/34FF). I ordered both the 30GG and the 30H in this model and decided to keep the 30H. I had a bit of "quadraboob" in the 30GG. I wasn't surprised because I quad a bit in the 30GG Lucy also. This gives me a slightly different shape than the erin/meg/marcie/natasha styles. A bit more minimized. Don't get me wrong, this is by no means a minimizer bra! It's just that the shape I get is a little bit wider than those other styles. I have projected, narrow roots, with even fullness and soft tissue.

  3. I love this bra - got it in the electric blue colourway and it makes a real impact. The fit is really great which surprises me because this bra and the Lori (sister fit) are both in the full-on-bottom shape category that I've tended to avoid. I also wear the really projected Cleos (Melissa, Ellis). But I guess my breasts are changing shape (I'm 45) so the more full on bottom style - with lots of projection at the lower cup - is good. I'm half inclined to try the Lucy but I'm concerned that it's more closed on top and slightly more shallow and I wouldn't want ... anything shallower than this style (I have a lot of centre immediate projection). The fabric is much softer than in the really projected styles - much less industrial - though slightly less supportive. This bra is still quite supportive because its shape provides more pressure over the entire width of the cup. As such, it's less boobs on a plate and gives a slightly wider / flatter profile. It's still nicely projected though, with a low(ish) gore that works. The wires are firm. The straps are fairly narrow (but not too narrow). The band fits SNUG. Size up. I had to return the 32 (size I usually wear) for a 34. I thing I love: How the upper cup lace affixes to the side panel (it dips below where the strap meets the side cup) - this is what gives it a less projected top cup while the side cup continues to be high enough to capture side breast tissue and to be supportive. It's a hybrid of projection with an understated shape.

    • Thank you for your awesome review, I've been searching for a lower profile bra with a tighter band and this might be it. Thanks again!

    • I did not find that I had any difficulty with the Lucy. The cut is nearly identical, as are the measurements. I did size up on the band for the Lucy since the Kali was so tight, but I kept the cup size the same...so, Kali is a 36E and Lucy is a 38E. Other than the tightness of the band the Lucy is identical fit. No cutting in noted-not tight on top.

  4. 5/9/15: This review is for the color Cobalt Blue.

The fabric on this is a on the stiff and scratchy side, but I hope it will soften up after a few washings. The bottom portion of the cup consists of two layers of fabric. The wires are ever so slightly wide for me, but nothing I can't live with. The band is on the tight side but fits my 26" under bust extremely well. Rarely can I wear a bra on the loosest set of hooks. So if you measure 26" or below then this might work for you. The cups encase my breasts and give me a natural ... rounded shape. The straps are fully adjustable and have a firm stretch to them. Over all this is a decent bra and I can see myself wearing it often in the summer.

*I purchased this bra in hopes it would be as fabulous as my Lucy. But I have to say this bra is a little lower in quality in both fabric and fit. My Lucy bras were softer and better constructed. I also found that this bra was much smaller in the band compared to my Lucy despite the fact they were both a 28 band size.

    • Thanks for the heads up about quality and fit. It's surprising they didn't fix the tight band issue and maybe even worsened it when they made this "new" bra… On every online shop I saw the Lucy bra, they said to get a band size up from your usual, I'd have thought they would fix this on Kali…
About scratchy fabric, that's unfortunate because I loved the feel of the Lucy's… Has it softened with washings like you hoped ?

    • ColorfulVoid I didn't keep these. I washed them a few times but they just didn't feel as soft as the Lucy. Also, I gained a few pounds and they felt too tight in the cup and band. Over all this would have been acceptable in a better size, but it's not the Lucy.

    • I actually love the rare, super tight, snuggiest of the snuggest bands, maybe this will work for me. I'll have to give this a try. :D

    30H

    Fits

I first tried it in the middle of the night, after a very long intense day, and the band was painfully tight, so I left it and tried it on the next morning. I must have been very bloated, because the next morning it fit perfectly. The band is snug, but is never too tight, which I love. The straps were too tight, so I had to untighten them all the way. They were still supportive like this, but I think they might be a bit short for some people, especially if you have intense shoulder pain. I have moderate shoulder pain, so some days I have to ... wear my straps off or longer than usual.
These straps I could definitely tighten a bit more if I didn't have shoulder pain. The cup fits fine after swooping and scooping, there's some gaping in the lace sometimes when I move, but it's only noticeable when moving my arms a lot and looking directly at the lace. I fill it after a few hours though, since my breasts swell a little.
The gore is too high for me, not high enough to feel pain, but at the end of the day or if I spend a lot of time lounging, it bothers me a little, the wires end up digging in. It's okay though, since I can wear it for a few hours and then take it off or change it.
Other than that it's extremely comfortable, super breathable, and it's soooooo pretty. It also gives me a pretty nice shape and lifts a lot more of my tissue than other projected bras. I doesn't show through most of my clothes (it's bright orange, so it does show through extremely thin shirts and white ones, but not through grey or other colours) and the embroidered hearts don't show either.
I definitely love it, and if I find more in different colours, I'll get them.

Love the fit of this style bra. No other brands ever seem to have a center gore that lays flat. I have had a few of these, with care they can last more than a year. They do start out a bit stiff but a wash or two makes them comfy. I do wish they came in a few colors that were a bit less startling...for some reason, this particular one seems to cut into my pec muscles-adjusting the straps helps some with this. Have not had this difficulty with other Kali's, so do not know what the problem is....

    Didn't fit

If you have close set breasts, the wires may bother you as they bother me. The first Kali I ordered was a 32DD and it felt like my breasts were being forced into my ribs. After putting my bra on backward and upside down, I learned I did not require a 32" band, and the cups were significantly small. Next, I tried the 30G after learning a boob twin had decent results with the Kali 30G. Of the four sizes (32DD, 30F, 30FF, 30G) this is the only band that doesn't feel too small. I assume my short roots finally have space to exist and don't ... require the band for "real estate." Additionally, this is only bra of the four in which the wires don't painfully push down on my ribs. Although the bottom and apex are filled, my short roots don't fill the top. The straps in this size are too wide set. And, the sides of the cup cut into my arm pit. However, despite these detractions, this is, by far, the most comfortable of the four. I have been thoroughly spoiled by Comexim, Anna Pardal, and Ewa Michalak: Cleo is not remotely comfortable, to me, compared to the aforementioned brands. I will wait for the made to order Comexim/Anna Pardal bras. Sigh.

This bra's most important feature is that it is very closed on top, which makes it very nice for someone with short roots. The wires are narrow -- just a smidge too wide for me, but not a dealbreaker. I'm going to alter the gore to make it narrower. It's not overly wide, I'm just very close set!

Good quality, fun color, overall a bra I'm pleased with. This is probably the closest to a Polish fit that you'll find in a British bra, especially for those who are a true 26. It runs quite tight in the band, tighter than Lucy despite being a sister cut, so size up. I'm a small 26 so I found this band a bit loose still, but it's a great choice for those who are too small for a Freya or CK 28.

    Fits

I bought this bra for 20€ via Ebay after trying out the Lucy in a shop once, knowing they fit similarly. It fits almost perfectly on my FoB, short-rooted, projected breasts. The volume is spot-on, the band could be a tiny bit tighter (it stretches to 32.3 inches).

The gore is the perfect width and it tacks. It could tack a bit harder but I fear going up to a 32FF will cause gaping. The straps are fully adjustable but rather wide set. I am thinking about moving them a bit. Wire width is good - neither too wide nor too narrow.

Only the appearance is a bit of a bummer. It is very neon. I find the writing on the wires, "Crafted for fit. Styled for fun." a bit childish. And I cut off the bow at the gore.

common problem with cleo bras - wonderful fit, colored for children

    • 1

This comes in a few other colors most of which are more subdued. The purple us pretty but I felt like it ran a half cup smaller. I have the pink one. It's kind of a coral color.

    • I now used marine-blue fabric dye on it which makes it a lot easier on the eye.

I for one, am happy with the "childish" colored bras in large sizes.

There are plenty of other bras that are muted or run-of-the mill florals, in my opinion.

      Different strokes for different folks.
