    Didn't fit

This band was surprisingly snug for a 30 which is good because I like that in a bra. The cups fit nicely and once I sew the lace down this bra will be a great addition to my collection!

The wires are too wide, but it's not uncomfortable like in some other bras. Reviews say it runs loose in the band and shallow in the cups, which I found to be true, so I went a band down and a cup size up (28H as opposed to my regular 30G). In this size, my breasts fill out the front of the cups almost perfectly, no spillage anywhere. The sides are empty, but thanks to the firm padding it still supports well (almost like a side support bra, I suppose). I also don't have a problem with a lack of projection at the bottom; my boobs are resting nicely in the cups. The pink lace trim doesn't lay flat but it doesn't show through shirts like you'd think. The vertical seams are well-hidden which makes it almost invisible under clingy fabric. The shape is nicely rounded like most Cleos. Overall a good bra, I give it 7/10 boobs.

    Didn't fit

Before I tried the Darcy, I tried its sister cut, the Juna, in a 32GG -- itself a sister size of my usual bra size, 30H. This turned out to be far too large, in both band and cups. I was unsure if I needed to go one cup size down or two, and ended up trying the Darcy down just one cup size. And it fits! The lace trimming on the cups does stick up, but the cups don't otherwise gape. The reviews I've read of Juna and its sisters disagree about what the lace means, if it doesn't lie flat. Some say that this means the ... bra doesn't fit; some say that the lace sticking up has nothing to do with fit. I cannot answer this question. In my case (wide, tall root; shallow; FOB), the cups fit well in a cup size smaller than my usual size, but the lace sticks up. My only other quibble is the gore. It presses inward to a very uncomfortable degree; I've been using a folded-up tissue as padding between the gore and my skin. I've only worn the bra a few times so far, and if it doesn't soften up I will try bending the wires.

    • Was this the yellow flamingo bra or the hearts?

Should have gone with a ff, but it wokrs ok. I'm a bit dissapointed with the coulour, since itäs not as vibrant as i thought it'd be. It makes my cleavage look a bit funny. The bow is not straight and the wiers overlapse each other at the gore.

    • You can always stack the wires on top of each other and hold them together with a few stitches to narrow the gore. I have fairly close-set, very projected boobs and the bows on gores are never neat and straight. I've stopped caring about it now, but if you feel it's important, why not tack down the bow and sew the sides into the gore? It would be easy to do by hand, and on the back of the bow so it doesn't show. I've also noticed that Cleos with buttons on top of the centre gore bows (like Marcie) don't twist around like others do. So maybe sewing a button on the bow works too. :)

  5. Weirdly enough, the 2014 (Bird Print) model of the Darcy has a few differences than the 2012 version. For instance, on my 30GG there are actually two vertical seams on the cup rather than one. It looks like this isn't the case on smaller cup sizes, but it is definitely welcome on mine; I'm FOB and it helps immensely.

Another thing that I feel I should mention is that the Bird Print version is actually a semi-sheer print fabric over top of the normal cup fabric. It looks fine, but it's weird until you're used to it, and it makes the cup less smooth feeling.

this bra fits me almost perfectly. i think i could size up in the cup though because i get a weird flat spot on my larger side though loosening the strap minimizes this. also the bra i received is a three part vertical seamed cup rather than 2.

This bra is the only t-shirt bra that fits me. I wish it came in neutral tones, but it is really cute. It is cut similarly to the Juna, but it is NOT the same cut. The Darcy has two vertical seams and the Juna has only one. The Juna is more open on top so my tits fall out. The Darcy has taller cups, so that my nipples are actually covered, and is a little less projected, so my shirts fit over it. I love this bra and it's very comfortable.

    Fits

Even though this bra technically does not fit, I love it. I purposely purchased a smaller size so that I could get noticeable "lift". Cleo's 30DD usually fits me just right, with some support and coverage, but very little "enhancement". A 28F would likely have fit better than the 28DD, however, I couldn't find this adorable Flamingo print anywhere in 28F. Overall, it doesn't matter that much. This bra is so cute, and soft, and fun I enjoy wearing it. I love the shaping and support, and the "quad" will show only if I wear skin tight shirts with this bra, so I don't. This bra is extremely comfortable, and lightweight, which is just what I need for the hot Arizona summer.

    Didn't fit

I've ordered online a Darcy balconette bra in 28E. I've tried it and the cup is too small so I decided to exchange it and go up a cup size.
My problem comes when I check the bra label, it says it is a 28F but the bra tag says it is a 28E. I'm now confused because I know I need to go up a cup size but I don't know for sure which size my bra is.

Updated on Mar 21, 2014 Flag this

    • I'm sorry we don't have more measurements for the 28F, but from your numbers they seem to match the 28E ones better.

When you get the new one, you should be able to compare this and the new one's numbers to double check :)

    • I think the issue here is with the depth of the cup. You probably need to find other brand with the same band size but more cup depth. This will solve your issue of spilling of your boobs at top.
