This bra would have been great if it wasn't for the massive quadboob I got from it. The wire breadth is normal for a 30D, the bottom parts of the cups are shallow but not too shallow. The top parts of the cups do not have enough space. If your shape is FOT or tall rooted, you may get massive quadboob, which is what I got. I thought about sizing up to a 30DD, but then I would have had other problems like the wire being too broad. This is a classic shape mismatch for me.

    • I have this bra and I wanted to love it, but the wires & sides of the cup are too high. And the straps are too wideset, so I think I'm going to convert it into a strapless bra.

This bra is amazingly soft and comfortable, and it provides a much more flexible fit than the regular Dessous. It's definitely a full cup, and is fairly narrow and projected. The wires are soft, and not very strong and the overall support level is not very high. I'm not at all impressed with the quality and would be livid if I had paid regular price for this. The elastic started to fray on the second wear, and the stitching and overall finishing just isn't great. But, it's an unlined longline and I've wanted one of those for forever.

    • i like this colorway a lot. I hope that claudette gets more consistent. or starts selling more on amazon at least lol

    • 2

Oh these colors and style are so pretty! Unfortunately I had the same quality issues with my Dessous, but I'm especially mad about the quality of the elastic. I've only had the elastic fray on bras that were old and had been machine washed. So I don't plan on buying anymore Claudette's, even though this bra looks cute :(

    • 1

It's such a shame that the quality isn't there because it's incredibly cute. It looks great on you.

    • 2

The model could be wearing a smaller bra than her size, but I like the full cup on you nevertheless. I bought a few 2015 season bras with freying band fabric after only trying them on, so this quality issue might be more widespread. I found their band material ridiculously unsupportive, it is just the elastic on the borders that hold and I get a "sausage on the back" look. Would love to own a fitting Dessous, but no idea which size or year of model, colour etc to go for.

    • 1

This bra is from SS15, so it's always possible it was an issue contained to that season. I think it's important to contact the company with such issues so that they can address them, and it's a better product for everyone. I'm sorry to hear so many of you have had quality issues as well! And yes, I found a bit of that too. To me though it's not any worse than Cleo or Freya. I've always felt that the big UK brands don't have a quality that corresponds to the new price.

    • 1

I had a Cleo dessous from the first season that lasted really well. I'm thinking this might be more of a season issue. I've owned a couple from other seasons briefly- long enough to wash them a few times and I didn't have any issue with them. My main complaint is that the cut on the dessous has been tweaked season to season so I never know nichols color ways might work for me. I do wish all the companies would use bands with tension more similar their band elastic, some times it's almost unbearable - and Claudette elastic can be especially biting at the end of the day. Of all the bras I've tried nothing has had the longevity of my Cleo lily parrots. That thing has been indestructible!

I was hoping for this bra so much as my 32DD - Claudette ยป Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) fits so good and is so comfy - I would even say that is more comfy than 70E - Comexim ยป Sharon (366) but the issue are too wide wires that ends almost in the middle of my armpits. I took a risk and unfortunately I can't wear it. Overal the bra is very pretty - navy with pink/coral elements, the band fits good on me and even the cup volume seems to be good. I need make some research and find which Dessous are narrow in wires as my pantera in 30e has 12cm width so there's a chance to find perfect Dessous !

i meant that i took risk of really wide wires : )

    • I hate it when the comments double and I can't delete it. Yeah, you know, I never paid much attention to why the fit was wrong for me -
could have been the wires. I kinda just started giving up on Claudette. :(

    • 1

you shouldn't! I just saw review of American tan i guess, and it has narrow wires : )

    • 3

The original production of Dessous models have wires that are more narrow than subsequent seasons. If you're looking for narrow wires, try any of the Neon colourways, the Leopard Print, Mauve and the American Tan colourways. Also try the Dessous Sucre line (leopard print, black, etc all with the same neon pink straps). You'll find the wires on these are more narrow than the navy/pink colourway you reviewed :)

You can find the models I mentioned on the he bottom two rows here: http://www.loveclaudette.com/encore-bras/

    Hasn't set fit

I got the Claudette Longline I ordered from the Zulily sale last month. It actually fits really well (I think!). I'm honestly not really into unlined bras, because I usually don't like the shape that they give me, but this was an exception. It is so pretty!
If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it!

I believe my shape is shallow or slightly shallow with wide and tall roots.

I was considering trying the new floral Parfait Charlotte, but I wasn't sure which size to order. I heard that it runs small. Also, i've gotten halfcup suggestions in the past. I want to try the deco half cup, but I have the plunge and it fit well in the cups, but the wires were much to narrow. I've heard if the plunge fits you, the half cup probably wont. Is there any truth to this?

Updated on Feb 03, 2016 Flag this

    • That looks great on you!
I'm still relatively new to all this, but what I can say about Charlotte (oh, that new floral....looks so pretty!) ....I have a different shape than you, although similar size. I don't think the cups run all that small, but the band is definitely quite firm. Even though my comfortable rib cage measurement is about 28 and my purple Charlotte stretches to 29 inches, it is too tight for me to tolerate without an extender. I had hoped it would loosen up, but after 3 or 4 hand washes, and several weeks of wear (a lot of that time was multiple days in row, because at that point I had nothing else that came close to fitting)...it's still just as tight.

    • 1

sereneindeed Thank you! I am actually a 26 band, so the snug charlotte band sounds good to me! Hopefully it loosens up for you though. Thanks for the charlotte info. I will definitely be stalking it on amazon to see if my size appears in the floral!

  5. Fishnet Scoop Neck Bra (12012)

I really like this bra! Although it is not the most supportive, it is very comfortable and pretty (I really like the velvet trim). I think it is perfect for desk work/lounging, etc - it is the most comfortable bra I own. The trim on the top of the cups is slightly elasticated, so it is very comfortable and does not cause the dreaded quadboob. Half of the straps are non stretchy (which helps balance the stretchy cups), while the adjustable back half is thick elastic increasing comfort.

Now for some issues: I usually wear a 36 band, but in this bra I should have probably got ... a 34, or even a 32 - the band is very stretchy and fit comfortably on the tightest hook as soon as I got it. The straps are not fully adjustable, and I had to sew them in place to prevent them from loosening (the clasps slide down) as I wear it. There is also some puckering on the outside of the cups near the straps, but I think this is due to my breast shape (would probably not happen on side-heavy breast). The cups are also very stretchy.

As I have worn it more I have found that the wires under my arm, especially on my right side rub. It is not bad if I am not being very active, but if I have to move my arms a lot the rubbing becomes painful by the end of the day and leaves a bit of a raw spot for few days. The wires are a touch too narrow for me; I think the cups and wires just get bullied around by my heavy breast tissue.

Devastated this is such a horrendous fail :-/ measuring it confirms what attempting to try it on suggested heavily - an 8.8 depth for an 11 inch wire makes this very shallow and frankly just a very unusual shaped bra. I think the one (?) other review here said what I'm going to reiterate - extremely shallow at the bottom of the cups. Believe me, I love a wide and shallow bra but this is the most extreme version of that combo I've ever come across.
Band is too tight for me (I am a large 30 but don't own any 32s - sister sized up in ... this as I knew it was supposed to run small but it's still too tight to be wearable), would best suit a large 28/small 30, so I can't really even get an idea of how this bra should look. It's very pretty though and basically a longline as it has a little bit of boning (?) under each cup at the front to help the elongated front band stay down, and 3 hooks and eyes at the back. V. sad.

    • Looks like this one could fit me :) wanna swap for something?

    • Hi Scharminkeltje , ooh maybe! I had a look at the bras you have listed but not sure anything would fit as most seemed to be a 30FF and I am most definitely an F. Would you be interested in buying if I listed it for sale or do you have any non-listed swaps? :-)

    • Not really, everything I have listed is what I have to offer :( but I would suggest checking out a measurements, at the time being I have 30FF, 32F, 30F and 32E bras that fit me, so the measurements are the key factor, not the size on the label.

    • What's with Claudette making tight bands now? Mine are all loose. :(

    • 1

Hi erispe, bardot has been discontinued so won't be made anymore and I think Odette is a few years old too, so both sets are definitely pretty old. All my other Claudette bras (dessous, Sophia and en dentelle) are loose-ish to very loose so I'm pretty sure its just these two that run small. Not sure about fishnet as that's pretty much the only style I haven't tried but to be honest I think I'm done with Claudette as their sizing inconsistencies just continue to shock me....buying their items is a constant challenge as you never write know what you're going to get sizewise, ho hum...๐Ÿ˜’ /endofrant.

    • Oh I see. You're the Claudette guru emsiepie ! :)

    • 1

erispe for the amount of money I've spent on badly fitting bras I'd bloody well better be, hahaha! ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜’

    • I am currently into French bras and it is a costly research. :)

    • I am so astonished by this, I've tried seven different Claudette bras, not including different sizes within the same model, and ALL of my bands run tight, emsiepie , and , erispe , perhaps they ran a bit loose in the beginning of the brand? All of my Claudette bra bands measure at least an inch smaller than they're labelled size if not an entire size smaller. Odette measures 2 sizes smaller.

Underwired bra with teal fishnet net cups (double layered in the bottom of cup) and black velvet trim at band, around the cups, and front half of straps. Small velvet bow at the gore. High apex cups connect to straps in a triangle at the shoulder. Straps are half-adjustable and feel nicely firm due to the velvet. Deep U-shaped back with three hook and eyes. Plush black channeling continues the design on the inside of the bra.

Gives a soft, natural, encapsulated lift, not for those who prefer globes! As usual for Claudette this bra is definitely on the narrow side, but not as narrow as the ... Polish brands. All materials are very soft and comfortable. This band is a smidge firmer than Claudette Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000), but I would still recommend sizing down. So far I have found both Sophias - Claudette Sophia Icon Padded Bra (101001), Claudette Sophia Minx Sweetheart Demi Bra (101025), and the Claudette Cool Cotton Underwire Bra (CD8008) to be sufficiently firm for my regular band size.

I will be actively looking for more bras in a similar cut to this one, because I greatly prefer it to the silhouette currently in fashion - sort of the fuller busted equivalent to the more unstructured trend going in the indie/designer scene right now. I've seen some promising previews and am keeping my eye out for new colors of this one.

    • Thank you for reviewing this, I'm trying to decide whether or not to get one since it just appeared on sale at Claudette Encore. Is this bra's shape more similar to the Dessous or to the Cool Cotton? I do well with the Dessous, but the Cool Cotton's cups are too tall and wide for me. Does the Fishnet Scoop have any tendency to cut into the front of your underarm, the way the Cool Cotton sometimes does?

    • 1

I find the wings are shaped closer to Dessous than to the Cotton. I haven't noticed any issue in the underarm area but the Minx and Cotton are fine under the arms for me there too so I might not be the best person to ask. I might have a minute to measure sometime soon (Monday I would think) if that would help.

    • lcl0706 do you happen to know anything about the shape of this bra? You were so helpful to me a few weeks ago with the differences between Claudette Dessous and Cool Cotton. Your advice was spot-on that Dessous would be a good fit for my narrow, projected, FOB, short roots. I wonder if your Claudette expertise extends to the Fishnet Scoop? :)

    • 1

Measurements are in. If it helps any, I am mostly even in shape, slightly favoring the bottom, and projected. I have a broad back and am narrow/close set, which is why I rarely have trouble with cups in the underarm.

    • 1

Coral I've actually never heard of this bra lol! I would say, based on appearances and measurements, it's somewhere between the Dessous and Cool Cotton in shape and projection.

    • Thanks guys. I'll take a chance and order one.

Narrow wire heaven! Both the Paramour and Dessous have THE narrowest wires I've ever encountered! This is awesome for me since my roots are vv narrow and bras always seem to have far too wide wires, encasing my ribs and back. The fabric that makes up most of the cups is super silky and soft, and the stretch mesh is equally soft https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Uggggghhhh this is a great bra and I wish I could fix just one, teeny tiny dealbreaker.

Here's the pros: Love the look - fairly pared-down design which lets the construction speak for itself. I got the navy colorway, which is a lovely color especially in the matte fabric. Also, the straps are a bit wider than standard which is always a design feature I love (not everyone is into this clearly, but I'll dive head-first into those luxury brands that have 1in+ wide straps like Fleur Of England ) Construction-wise, I love the very light lining and vertical seaming in the cups, ... which ends up giving a very uplifted and yet minimized shape. I tend to really like bras that compress everything very close to my ribcage, since when wearing t-shirts and floatier tops it ends up making my whole body look smaller in diameter (read: skinnier). On these counts alone, this is one of the best bras I have ever owned - and that's as a devoted fan of Claudette in general. The cleavage is fairly minimal since the gore is rather tall, but that's not a look I really go for anyway.

Aaaaand here's where I mention the con that SO MANY BRAS have that keeps this bra from being my favorite ever. Wide strap placement. IT'S SO WIDE. I'll refrain from cursing here, but for crying out loud, why does nearly every good full-bust bra have these effing wide-placed straps? Are they making bras for linebackers? At the tops of my shoulders, they can barely stay up, but the real problem is down where they meet the cup, in the DEPTHS OF MY ARMPITS. This is such a common gripe of mine and it makes me so capsy. I feel like I need to start a support group for people. I wore this bra to work once and by the end of the day, my armpits were so chafed that I whipped the bra off and threw it across the room the second I got in the door. Quoth the raven, nevermore.

    • So be fair, I tried this bra in 28DD and loved it except that the straps were too wide. That and I really needed a 28E or possibly a 30DD because the band was so snug. It's not just the larger sizes for this bra, it's just the style, which is too bad because it's SUCH an amazing bra other than that!

    • Can I join your support group too? "Capsy" is a very good word for describing how armpit strap makes me feel! It's a shame the bra was good apart from the strap issue. Were you able to return it and get your money back?

    • Alas, I bought it on clearance so I'm unable to return it. However I've made a listing for it so hopefully the shape will work for someone! Normally I'm a huge fan of Claudette, but this one just isn't going to work for me. And yes, you're welcome to join this club of unfortunates! Maybe we can get a catchy name and demand some industry reform ;D

Bought from Brand Alley in a flurry of excitement cos it's the colour I've been after, but compared to the later seasons Parma Violet/Concrete and Peacock/Concrete that I have and fit me beautifully, this was a complete non starter. Fuller review to come...(and I'm also going to write to Claudette asking how they can make such ridiculously HUGE changes in sizing from season to season whilst calling it the same bra model - incredibly misleading for people purchasing their goods :-/).

Why yes, I bought another Claudette Paramour. After the miserable failures that were the Gossard Glossies Moulded Bra (6271) and the Parfait By Affinitas Kelly Wire Bra (6702) , I'm so glad I did. It reinstated my faith in humanity and bra manufacturers. I'm convinced that this bra (at least for me) is the best bra on planet earth. It's got non-stretch lower segments in the cups and stretch mesh for the top section - ergo, supportive, and no gaping or quad-boobing at the top thanks to the stretch. Everything about it is comfortable. This is the ... second season this bra has been out (I bought last season's in black and garnet) and I do believe they've made some minor adjustments for the better. The shape is a tad more rounded than last season, and they tweaked the way the fabric is sewn together on the cups (last season's satin fabric shifts around a bit on top of the inner lining of the cup, whereas this season they seem to be sewn together and so give a smoother finish.)

I'm so glad that this springs colorways are light - my main complaint with the black and garnet was that they are my go-to bras, yet I can't wear them under light colored shirts. What was I supposed to do without my beloved Paramour? But now I have it in the seafoam colorway (which features navy blue accents on the bow, straps, and elastic) and now I can seriously wear it under anything. I'm also considering nabbing the light pink as well. Because, at this point, I'm basically fazing out all my other bras and stocking up on Paramours.

This bra is a good basic in my wardrobe. Aside from the fact that the band it too large (I definitely should have gone for the 32F, c'est la vie), it's rather comfortable, and I love bras with 3-part cup construction and no lining. I think it's sexy, but more importantly it's supportive without the added bulk or unnatural shape of molded cups. There is a little bit of gaping at the top of the cup, but it fits everywhere else. My only complaint with this bra is minor, and it has to do with the fabric. I have another mesh bra, the Cleo Lucy, and that mesh has by far spoiled me, it's so soft against my skin. This mesh could definitely learn a thing or two, hence points off for quality - it's more stiff and more scratchy than I would have hoped. As a whole, and given a change in size, I really enjoy this bra for it's natural rounded shape, good design, and fun colors.

Hoo boy. I am on a journey through cheap discontinued bras. Almost like there was a reason they were discontinued!
    Orange. In. A glass!
I love the pictures of this bra - it looks like something a ballerina would wear, which is my bra "aesthetic". It's ~nude~ hallelujah https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
The material felt pretty rough actually. My 30FF - Panache ยป Loretta Plunge (6686) is much softer and more expensive feeling in the band and the mesh lace upper.
The straps were also really far apart and I have wide shoulders. They would just not work on narrow shoulders.
I had room in the bottom ... and sides of the cup and wrinkling on the bottom - probably not projected enough for me - but the gore was a good width. I guess my boobs are farther apart than the other reviewers of bras I'm researching.
About two thirds of my boobs were spilling over the top though! ;_; It was so major that with the straps just taken off I was STILL quadding.
Already put in for a return. It arrived in a completely destroyed bag, incidentally. I'm not sure what to send it back in..

Look how smooth the cups are?!?!

Stretchiest of them all! Most forgiving fabrics of the 4 I bought together. Unfortunately, because this was the bra I wanted to wear on an every other day basis, it's already stretched out since August to needing the 2nd hook. Originally didn't stretch to 29 inches when brand new, probably closer to between 28 and 28.5. I prefer firmer powermesh, but hella comfortable.

Underwire shape is perfect, straps are nice and stretchy and highly adjustable and comfortable.

Gore is a taaaaad too wide, it's an 1/8th of an inch wider than the norm. But I guess I can't really feel it with the band being more relaxed, so doesn't matter? Cup depth is 1/4 inch deeper, but cup height is slightly shorter so I guess the overall depth works out for me?? Looks the best in pictures too.
This is one of my regular go-to bras. AND, I made a pattern from it.... Foreshadowing?!?! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Gah, where to begin with this bra?

It is a very pretty bra with 3-part cups made of satin and mesh. The lower, satin part is not stretchy at all. The upper, mesh part, is very very very very stretchy.
The change in tension between the two makes for the worst in cup quadding yet for me. The band (which is made of the same mesh as cups, so very stretchy) runs loose, and the gore tacks perfectly on me. That's really all I can say in regards to how it fits on me.

Otherwise, the quality of the bra is superb, it has a lot of projection, very narrow and comfortable wires. The wires join at the gore which is fairly low compared to some other bras I've tried.

    The garnet colourway is amazing.

Unfortunately, this bra is not a friend of very soft tissue like mine. I imagine on someone with firm tissue it would work very very well.

This bra is not owned any more

    • Omg lol, this looks sooooo much better on you than it did on me!
You could probably do with a 30GG/H or 32 G/GG, which would get most the soft tissue into the non-stretchy part. I'm so upset that this company is gone. Soo beautiful and such high quality (before they moved to CA at any rate). Even if the sizing was a bit off....

    • Lol when I first put it on I nearly choked laughing. Like the nipple (I think it's even visible in one photo) actually turns sideways in the mesh part.

  17. Dessous Mesh Underwire Bra (CD2000)

Another less-than-15-dollars bra off of Amazon, provided by HerRoom this time, so I thought, "why not?!" I haven't tried a Claudette in like 5 years. Will try on in the morning!

So.... It fits!! It's probably technically a bit too big, seeing as there's a small bit of in-cup wrinkling after my boobs settle, but when I first swoop and scoop, there's a bit of quadding. The wires are ever so slightly too wide, so there's space to escape to the side. If they were just under 1/4" narrower, it would be perfect!

There's a small bit of empty space just under my breasts, more under my left boob ... especially, but I have a flat spot underneath, so I just think it's due to my trapezoid-shaped roots. So far with a few minutes of wear, the bra doesn't slide down.

Top elastic doesn't cut in, which was my biggest worry. But with weight loss, I've kept some of my projection and base height, but not my fullness, so with very empty lower half, I am effectively shorter rooted now. I still have a thin bit of tissue that goes mostly to my collar bone, but the fullness is mostly just at and above the apex and no higher.

Gore is nice and low, but the ends of the wires dig. With my ribs flaring right below my breasts, it causes the bottom of the wire to tilt away therefore causing the ends to tilt towards my chest. I can't win with gores! Too high, and it just hurts pinching the edges of my roots against my sternum, but too low and they stab right into me. Will have to bend away.

The band only stretches to 29 inches, but surprisingly still feels too big on. I have it on the middle hook yet it stretches far from my back. If I can get it for $15 again, I'll try a 28 band.

Profile wise, well it's sheer mesh, so it doesn't add much. Just kinda is a placeholder to prevent jiggling, otherwise my natural shape is still there. (for me the cups are a bit pointy in shape like I am. Could be again that it's slightly too big, I've seen rounder images from fuller shapes stretching the mesh more.)

Overall, very happy! So sad the brand is gone! I always seem to like discontinued brands :/ Will snatch whatever is left on Amazon before they're gone for good!! Could even make a pattern from it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Will upload more pictures once I'm not in public any more (at a wedding!).

More pictures up!! And oh, as for the color! Definitely not what it appeared on the screen. The model was pale and it appeared a matching color, but it's definitely more suited for an olive toned skin that's darker (it matches the olive-tan pillow perfectly haha). I love the hot pink, though!

Update after a full day of wear: It. Fits. It fits!!!!!!! The underwire actually follows me nearly exactly, the cups stay the same all day (don't have to readjust) and it's comfortable overall! Still need to bend the underwires out from sternum, but I hardly notice the bra is there! I could be nitpicky about strap width, but seeing as they are a very stretchy elastic (pros and cons there as well) I can wear them tighter without it digging in too badly to prevent the slipping off feeling. Oh yeah and I have the ba s on the middle hook, so I think I'll try a 28 band next.
Unsure if I'm more bloated or what, but I didn't have any cup emptiness today. A few wrinkles but those I know are from the straps being tight. In all my other bras, since the wires are too wide, I settle into the sides and the center and upper parts of the cup end up empty, but not in this bra!! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I need to buy more before they disappear for good!!!

    Didn't fit

I have waited far too long to write this review. It's a lovely bra with a nice shape, good support and is very forgiving of fit issues and asymmetry. It's also really comfortable. So sad that Claudette is discontinued.....I wish they weren't... Thankfully another user was selling this. It is a size larger than I typically would buy, but I said to myself "Why not? They're DC'd and it may be my only chance to to get it!"
The straps on this bra feel softer than most "elastic" based straps. They're fully adjustable. They also have the annoying 'loop-de-loop' detail on the sides of the straps that ... I find annoying and unnecessary. It's not visible unless you're looking at it close up!!!! They are average width about a half and inch. I don't think they would be very aesthetically pleasing if they were much thicker.
This is a Claudette bra so the band is on the tight side for a 30 band. This is great for me since I require a 28 band. This bra was pre-owned so it's stretcher than a brand new one. 29" stretched band is still firm for a 30 band. So, I wear it on the tightest hook. Though I think it still has a good bit of life left in that elastic, Claudette always uses really firm high quality elastic. It's a bit thinner than I prefer, but it's plush and doesn't dig in in an unsightly way. Unlike Claudette Dessous, the mesh used on this bra band is soft and smooth. I do not believe it is power mesh, which explains why it is not quite as firm as other Claudette bras.
The wires are touching at the top of the gore and doesn't get too much wider towards the base of the gore. This is nice for me as pretty much all gore wires sit on my breast tissue. It still does with bra, but not as bad as some. Thankfully I am not very full there; so it is not very noticeable. As with all Claudette bra gores and my sternum, they dig in some. There is always a bit of room in the wire channel on Claudette bras; so I can push the wires down from the gore towards the outside of the cup. If it continues to bother me I can simply bend the wires away from sternum some. The wires are very firm, much like Panache/Cleo wires. This makes the bra very stable but can be uncomfortable for some. They are a bit wide for me. But due to how tall the wires are at the sides and the full coverage of the cups, this prevents my breasts from trying to escape after scooping and swooping.
Now onto the cups. This is a VERY full coverage, three piece cup. They're not lined and not padded. It appears to be one layer of a polyester-esque fabric that is smooth and comfortable against the breast. The fabric has little to no stretch and is thick enough to prevent most head lights from showing. The third, top section of the cup is made of what appears to be the same mesh that is used on the band. It is quite stretchy. Some of this stretchy-ness is reigned in by a strip of elastic following the outer line of the cup. This could dig into women with tall roots depending on how the cup happens to fit you. The elastic strip ensures a smooth line between my breast and the cup, even though the cups are in fact too big for me. As you can see in the pictures I have some wrinkling at the top of the cups, mostly on the mesh part. This bra would work very well for women with even full breasts. When I wear this bra under clothes, even tight clothes, the wrinkling is not noticeable.
The general shape of this bras cup is full and forgiving. I could see women with a lot of immediate projection not fitting this bra very well. It is a bit shallow at the wire. I think this bit of shallowness is supposed to lift and round the breast, which it does do. No pointy boobies here! And I have breasts that a bit conical with pointy nipples. Depending on how this bra ends up sitting on your breasts, FOT women may not get along well with this bra because of the elastic edging. All in all I think this bra could work for a wide variety of women with the fully encapsulating cups that give just enough lift and shape. I love the color too. Gorgeous.

I have ALWAYS wanted one of these mesh Claudette bras, but I have tall roots so they've always cut in on top when I try them on in stores. Looks super cute on you! I hope you find a perfect Claudette one day. :)

    • 1

Honestly Slava-Zone , the top mesh section is the only part of this bra that doesn't fit well. Not sure how it would've ended up had they used the same fabric from the rest of the cups. The D probably would've cut into me too. I've come to the realization that there is no "perfect" Claudette for me (I now own a 30D, 30C, and 28DD in Dessous) , and am perfectly happy with this one being a bit too big and the 30D dessous having a band too large and some vertical lines. Still have go review the Dessous "long-line", The Bardot plunge, and the Odette "Long line". I've been pretty lucky finding the last few of this in my size range. Having a much harder time with the Sophia and cool cotton models. Maybe one day!

    • I'm not sure I've seen a perfect and wrinkle free mesh Claudette on anyone and heaven knows many have tried! They were the hot ticket item in North America when they came out -- most full/fullish bust bra wearers had never even heard of a sheet design in a size they could hope to fit before.

    • Which is one of the main reasons I can't understand why they went under wendybien ! I hope they'll come back, but I won't get my hopes up. :-(

    • 2

Well when your product is super cute but most customers find it disappointing in person, you don't get a lot of repeat business and it can be hard to survive. The mesh/sheer bras that everyone got so excited about quickly turned out to fit one of two ways: either the cup was small enough that your boobs filled out the mesh and it didn't wrinkle, but then the edging cut in; or else you sized up and the edging no longer made an indent, but the mesh wrinkled!

    Didn't fit

At my old measurements(about 36" OB) I hated the fit of these bras but I've always loved the look.
I'm closer to a 28DD/28D-30C/30D now and lost a ton of upper tissue, so I think this would work wonderfully now. It's a bit closed on top, so not good for FoT shapes. I'm more even now, but "functionally FoB" due to my shape(tuberous/conical-so thin with lots of center projection).

This size is Unfortunately too large for me now. Wish I'd kept my tan and navy 28E as I recall that being smaller than this one. But yay, I think I can finally wear the Dessous! I just need a 30C ... or 30D. By the amount of wrinkling in this, I'm going to guess the former.

The band on this one is also larger, at about 32" stretched. It kind of hovers on my 28" ribcage. In my experience with this style, the bands have either been pretty tight or super loose(I have another one, same color, 30 band that stretches to 34").
Hopefully Claudette has more true to size bras now that some time has passed.

Would recommend to more FoB,projected, narrow types. The fabric is a little scratchy in my opinion, but not enough to bother me. Would be more annoying to me in a band that was closer to my UB,I think.

Love Claudette has been closed since the end of 2016! :-(
I am incredibly sad about this as I love their bras. I now have a fishnet plunge, 28D, Dessous in 30D & 28DD, and two more of the other styles on the way. I'm grabbing them up as quickly as I can. There are some left on Amazon and breakout bras. Her room may have some as well. I know Prettyncharmeuse has a 28E and it's red so it may have a looser band than the black ones. I'll post pictures of my 30D soon, I have everything else about it posted.

LeProfessor omg, I had no idea! That's so sad :( I have some in my cart on Amazon- I'll have to get them now.
Ohh, I'll take a look, thanks for letting me know!
That's such a bummer that they closed. :,(

Btw, the wrinkles I see in this picture is not really bad for dessous. I see you don't have a lot of inner fullness like I do, so the 30D cuts into my tissue. I get these vertical lines/wrinkles in my 30D but i have taller roots and less outer fullness compared to my inner & center fullness. The cups are filled though! If you have any in your cart from break out bras through Amazon, I suggest grabbing those. Mine was literally here like 4 days after I ordered it!

    • 1

Hi Queequeg0925 I remember you! I never could get Claudette to work for me at any size... fingers crossed that this is better for you in a lower cup volume!

    • 1

Thanks for the review, Queequeg0925 . I always read with interest how size changes affect fit changes in beloved makes/models/colorways.

    • LeProfessor that's good to know :) I have a few in my cart that I'll order ASAP then ^_^ there's a slightly different style that I've had in my cart forever. Think I'll finally order that too haha

      @Love4Pollinators Thank you :)

@wendybien I remember you too! :D Thank you! I've always loved the style of these. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

@learningaboutbras you're welcome ^_^ Glad it can be of some help :)

Well. The bow on the Gore fell off after 5 hours of wear. ANY WAY! I love this bra. I was SOOOOO wary about a full cup, full coverage, three-part bra. I've always considered myself very small breasted, so how could a bra like this fit me AND make my boobs look super awesome under a shirt (much better than they look without a bra!). Can you tell I'm super happy with this bra yet? Really sad that Love Claudette no longer exists (in the process of getting as many of their bras as I can!).
This bra technically does not fit me. The band is too big. ... I opened the package put it on, closed it on the tightest hook with ease. The unstretched band is only 3" smaller than my snug rib. I was hoping since the 28 from Claudette ran small, the 30 would too. Maybe if I had gotten the black one. So, it rides up my back some.
The pink binding cuts into my inner tissue, especially on the larger breast. I get this odd vertical wrinkling on the bra that diminished a bit with wear. I believe this bra expects there to be more outer fullness than inner fullness, I have mostly inner/center fullness. I am also FOT (which may or may not function as FOB), have average projection, average/wide roots and a sort of conical shape.
The wire width is pretty darn good. The Gore was a bit painful, but so was my other Claudette bra the first time I wore it, and this went away. Perhaps it softened. But there's about a centimeter worth of space on the outside wire channel. I will try to push the wire down away from the top of the Gore. I think I may always have issues with Gore's as my breast base/IMF is about a half inch or so below where my sternum stops.
BUT! This bra makes my boobs look amazing! Definitely look forward to trying the 28DD that is coming!!
