    Didn't fit

I bought this bra from a Bratabase user in a "Bra Transfer". I like it a lot and I can almost say it fits ok except for 2 things. #1, the band is a little tight. I find this surprising with it being a 40. I usually fit better in 38's. So a 40 being too tight isn't usual. But I'm sure the band will loosen up some after being around my body for a little while. #2, there is some loose fabric in the upper cups where my boobs don't quite fill them. But this bra is another sturdy, well built Chantelle bra so you know it's quality. Oh yeah., It only has 2 hooks in the back which I would like better with 3 hooks.

  3. C Chic 3 Part Cup Bra (3582)

    Fits

The Chantelle seems to fit in the band and cup (40DDD), as it stays in place thanks to the single stays on each side of the cups, and there's no breast tissue coming out the top or sides of the cups (which is not generally a problem for me). However, the underwires creak when I move, and it makes me think that the cups are too small. There's NO extra room in the cups (and the cups even hold me in just a little, I feel hugged) as there's no give in the cups at all and very little in the band, which I consider to ... be a good thing. Despite this, the bra is comfortable. It's most certainly a full coverage, and the straps don't cut into my arms (which is usually a problem for me).

The Chantelle is not as pretty as the pictures make it look, and mine arrived with a flaw with the lace on the edge of the right cup, which is really annoying. I bought this bra from the Nordstom website, which says that 40DDD is equal to a 40F, but the tag on the bra said it was equal to a 40E, and I tend to agree with the tag, as I normally wear a 40F, and this bra feels a little more snug in the cup (not in the band) than I'm used to.

  4. Norah Molded Bra (13F106)

    Fits

This is an extremely comfortable wired bra. The fabric is buttery soft and stretchy and the wires are not overly firm. Very different feel than Elomis or Sculptress. It moves with me and feels like a gentle hug on my boobs. It sacrifices some support and lift for comfort, but I will take it! It gives me decent support, much better than my current wireless bralettes. If I ever wanted more support, I'd need something with firmer fabric.

It is NOT a molded bra, despite the name. It has a 3-part seamed cup underneath (1 diagonal seam, 1 vertical) with a layer of lace over the top which covers ... up the seams. It feels like a molded bra because it is so soft and stretchy, and the seams don't show through clothing because of the lace overlay. The lace is pretty flat and stretchy, so I only see a bit of texture under a fitted sweater. Nipples show through this a bit. It's basically a soft, lined fabric cup.

Because the bra is so stretchy, it ran on the bigger side for me. I'm normally a 40E/F UK and 40s are pretty snug on me (in Elomi for example). This 40 is a bit big on me and I have to hook it on the 2nd loosest hook from new, which isn't ideal. It's so stretchy I could even easily hook it on the tightest hook from new but not wear it comfortably like that. I tried a sister size, 38G, but it dug in a bit under the wires on the loosest hook so I'm staying with this even though it might not last me too long.

This is the equivalent of a 40E UK (Chantelle uses French sizing which is similar to US) and I have a little emptiness in the top of the cups, especially on my smaller breast. So the cup size is also on the larger side for me, but it is acceptable. The gore floats a tiny bit at the top because I am close-set, but it feels comfortable.

Overall, I think this might be the first wired bra I can wear after medical/pain issues and surgery so I'm excited! I haven't worn it for a full day yet so we'll see how it goes.

UPDATE: After wearing it on and off for about a week I am feeling less enthusiastic about this bra. The band rides up over time and when I move certain ways, and sometimes the top of one wire digs into the area under my armpit. I have to frequently adjust it for it to remain comfortable.

I really love this bra. It's well constructed and comfortable. I think it runs small in the cup. I could wear a 40DDDD/G more comfortably.

  6. Pont Neuf 3-part Cup Underwire Bra (1381)

I love this bra. It is very comfortable and gives me a great shape. There is plenty of stretch in the band which allows for free movement. No pokes anywhere. I could wear this bra all day. I would definitely buy this bra again. And I love this color, Fatal Violet. It was on sale, too!

It's my new favorite bra. I just wish they made a plunge or demi version.

  7. Rive Gauche 3 Part Cup (3281)

This is a terrific bra. The band is tight, but I can wear an extender whilst losing weight. Otherwise the fit is good. It might be my best fitting bra, now. Construction is awesome. There is no comparison between this bra and any bra from any other manufacturer I've ever bought.

It's a pretty bra and I like how it shapes my breasts. I'm getting good projection without any padding. I also like the more parabolic profile it gives my breasts. I love the widely set straps and the completely unapologetic way my breasts are presented, neither too widely nor squished together.

I highly recommend this bra for someone with a shape similar to mine.

I also love my Rive Gauche 3part cups, they're a rather surprising good fit I wasn't expecting. If you end up feeling like the gore starts to dig in at all the longer you've had the bra on, try bending the gore outwards just slightly and it should help a lot. Just passing that tip on as I've found it useful myself with this bra.

  8. C Chic Sexy Plunge (3641)

This is a very pretty bra. I love the lace of the upper cups and along the neckline. It seems to be very well constructed. With an extender at my current weight, it seems to fit very well. There are a few stray wrinkles but I'm putting that down to the tight band. I will most likely keep this bra. Any slight flaws in fit can't be seen when I have a top on. Which is pretty much the plan. (grin)

    • This is pretty damn good! It fits you a lot better than it fit me when I tried it, my shape is shockingly wrong for this bra, but it looks like a good match for yours. I also found it uncommonly tight in the band. The shape under clothes is really nice in this size range!

Brilliant! This is definitely a keeper, then. There's enough play in the bra fit that losing weight won't be an issue, and neither will breast growth. At least to a certain extent. At any rate, this bra should last a while for me, and perform well at the same time.
