Chantelle is supposed to be one of those fancy French lingerie brands, and I know that the Rive Gauche is a staple for many bra-wearers, but this bra is a total fail for me.
For starters, the wires are way too wide for me. They’re also too long. These wrap around to my back and the fabric wrinkles on the sides. There’s at least 1 inch of extra space from the wires to where my breast tissue ends.
Next, the top of the cups are pretty closed, even though they’re made with stretchy mesh and elastic. This causes it to cut in on the tops of my breasts, ... which doesn’t quite cause “double boob” quadding, but it does cause the elastic to cut in and just look strange.
The bottoms of the cups are also not filled and have wrinkling/excess fabric. This leads me to believe that this is the wrong size for me. It’s at least 1 size too large, maybe even 2.
It’s a really pretty bra and the fabric feels nice, but it’s not a good fit for me.

Interesting. The cups are just wide. I guess it works for some people!
