    Didn't fit

    My shape: side-full, close-set, center-height, forward-facing teardrop with tall shallow roots, max immediate depth, wide full side roots, and self-supporting very firm tissue.

    Alright, so two days in a row now I've planned to write this review (finally), and both times I put this bra on and had no discomfort whatsoever, which is saying something since this is usually my most uncomfortable bra. Third time's the charm? Anyway, I've had this bra since last summer and just never got around to reviewing it. It's the suede colorway, which is a pretty good nude for me, if slightly dark, although I am pasty, and I have it on the tightest ... hook, which is still snug.

    Reasons it's uncomfortable: mostly the wires. Chantelle's gores and I just don't get along, because they're too tall and too wide and they poke and I can't seem to find a model that doesn't, aside from the push-ups which don't suit me at all. The wires are usually very firm, and extremely so in this bra, so any time I slouch, lean sideways, bend over, or even breathe deeply, the bottom of the curve presses painfully into the ribs that must be just underneath. (Except for, y'know, today for some reason.) Also, the fabric of the band is two layers of mesh, which doesn't feel as stretchy as the elastics at the top and bottom edges of the band, leading to some minor bulging and the sensation of the elastics digging in. Superficially, it's not the softest bra ever, but it is smooth under clothes and some might prefer its matte mesh finish.

    The cups, while not uncomfortable, have several signs of not being quite the right shape. They're too tall for me, with the proper apex sitting ideally about 1.5cm higher than mine (and in that case would better suit someone with a more projected and shorter root on top), so instead the un-padded cup collapses and the extra fabric wrinkles down by the wire. I think there's a little more apex projection than I need, too, but mine is moderate anyway and that's not really noticeable while wearing it. The immediate projection at the base is good, although still not enough, causing the bra to scooch down during the day. They're a hair too far apart for me, and I'm not sure if the top edge didn't cause some faux-quadboob on my tall roots when it was new, because this is the most closed-off of all my current bras and the T-seam cup style never works for me in any others.

    Good stuff: The wire channels have almost 2cm of space in them, and shifting the wires out helps immensely at the sternum and also at the wing, which would be tall enough but needs the backup from the wire because of my Super Side Boob trying to escape. Ladies with shorter torsos may find that the top edge of the side-sling panel chafes, however, because it is tall, but it makes me feel nice and secure, especially considering that the band tapers down to 4 (4!) sets of 2 hooks. The straps are fully adjustable, which is great, and also in a wonderful spot on the cups, which means no buckling on the top edge of the cup and no armpit blisters!

  2. I am center full, close set, FOB, and my breasts sit low on my chest. I've had this bra about three weeks and it is my only really comfortable bra. This bra has a stretchy band. I read a suggestion to size down in the band and up in the cup, which I did (my usual size is 32H US/32FF UK) and it fits perfectly. There is enough depth to the cup at the bottom that the wire isn't being driven into my ribs, which happens with many bras. It's surprising to look at it that it would be so comfortable - just wires with tulle and ... stretch fishnet for the cups - but I have fallen asleep with this bra on. The straps stay up most of the time, and I have no problem with any of the usual problem areas. I have noticed the least bit of quadding on my larger side when I am carrying extra water weight, but no one else would notice it. Basically a really nice fit and a really comfortable bra. I've already ordered another.

    Extremely comfortable, stretchy but still supportive! Not like, firm-and-in-your-face supportive, but still good at getting the boobs out from under the arms and into a rounded front projection kind of situation. I like the vertical seams. Possible downside: Because the fabric's stretchy, I'm not so sure about the longevity, but we'll see.

    Nice wide cups (finally!) but the top of the cup barely covers the areola. I prefer more coverage. Straps are narrow (well placed on the shoulder but skinny).

    About me: petite with wide horizontal oval, slightly conical breasts
    * average projection
    * wide-set (3 fingers width of space between breasts)
    * very wide roots (extend past the mid-axillary line)
    * short roots
    * even horizontal fullness (just barely outer full)
    * mix of firm & soft tissue (front molds to shape of bra, sides push wimpy wires away)
    * conical shape (but will squish to round)
    * full on top (2/4 shape, not even or very full) - BUT functionally even to FOB due to short roots and soft tissue
    * petite (5'3") so have narrow frame

    Reviews for this bra indicated the band runs loose and to sister size down a band and up a cup. The band is to snug for me and is causing the wires to pull and the cups to flatten out. Getting some light quadboob at the top edge of the cup. I suppose I could use an extender, as that would eliminate the issues the small band is causing.

    Otherwise, I think it needs a little more projection to fit really well, although that's a little hard to tell for certain in this size. The construction is nice. 4 part cup, fully adjustable straps, soft, unpadded cups in a ... double layer. Straps are not too wide, which is a trend I've been fighting lately. Very supportive feeling and I'm not getting in-cup quadding like I often do with unpadded styles. This does have a slightly wider gore than I typically wear, and it seems that my breasts are farther apart than usual. Not in a totally bad or weird way, though. Just not as close set as my other bras.

    32H or I would probably be ideal size for me. Returned.

    Me: short & narrow roots, center full, close set, pendulous, petite, short waisted, low set, fairly even fullness, narrow shoulders, soft

    My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.

    I didn't like the fit on this bra because the top part cut into my breast tissue a little bit, seems too high and closed off for me. I wish it also went up a little higher in the wing. Bottom cup projection is not enough for me, so the bra doesn't stay in my IMF line and scoots down always. The wires are stiff, but wearable.

    Some positives I found: band is comfortably snug in loosest hook, straps stay in place and I can adjust them fully, gore height is low and gore width is close together so good for my center full breasts.

    Overall, I'm not keeping this bra since it cuts the top portion of my breast and doesn't have enough projection on the bottom for me.

    They sent me the wrong size in this bra, but it was still a solid contender! Extremely supportive without being stiff and molded, which I appreciate. Lightweight and breathable, too! My one quibble is that its shaping properties come from vertical seams in the cup that were very visible under my test t-shirt. Ridges on my boobs is not a good look. But under thicker clothing, I think I’d really appreciate the lightweight shaping. This bra is a definite maybe.

    Seems to fit well. No gaping or looseness. Sits flat around breasts. Not very pretty. But it does it's job.

    Fits

    This bra is comfy and fits pretty well. It's not perfect. First, my bra is technically a size off (32E), but I later tried on a 30E at Nordstrom and it fit great. It slide down during the day, but I suspect that's the sizing issue. I haven't 100% figured out my shape, but I like this bra for everyday wear.

    Pros: Comfy, cute, easy to find at Nordstrom, fits for the most part
    Cons: It's odd that going down a band size, but not a cup size, didn't change fit. It makes me wonder if the bra is stretchy and how it lasts over time.
