Struck out again with this one. It's a French size H, but a UK FF, and since I fit some other UK FFs, I figured this one would be great. So wrong! The cups are way too big for me - well, big in some respects but not in others. The depth seems to be almost a match. It's maybe a touch roomy, and there is excess volume particularly around the outer perimeter of the cups. I have more "torpedo" shaped boobs, so I have a lot of forward projection but only a modest amount of volume in all other dimensions. ... The nipple area is filled out but there is wrinkling in the cup in around all the edges. However, my main issue with the fit of this bra is the wires. They extend almost a full inch beyond where my breast tissue ends, and they also seem to be situated too low for my boobs. It's totally wasted space. The straps aren't designed in such a way that they're cutting too badly into my armpits, but it's still definitely at least a cupsize too large.

Style-wise, it's a really nice bra even though it's beige! (I think after the ugly beige bras of my youth I was hesitant to try this one, but to be fair there is nothing like a beige bra to disappear under clothing, and my wardrobe has been in need of something closer to my skintone than teal or black. >_<) The shape it creates is rounded but natural and really flattering. The mesh is very soft and very structured - unlike my beloved Claudette Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) , this mesh has virtually no stretch. I like the subtle pattern on the cups and the lacy trim all around. It's got enough details to be really pretty and not just another beige bra. Considering how much I like it despite its fit issues, I think it may be worth it to try this bra a cup size down. I have tried the 32F, and now the 32H, so perhaps the 32G is my sweet spot in Chantelle.

This is a very pretty bra. I bought it after seeing it on my Bratabase recommendation list. It fits but it is not perfect. I usually wear 32G (UK) and my best fitting bras are full cup. This one is a plunge bra, so the gore is lower than what I am used to.

Band: looser than most 32 bands, but I fell like the 3 hooks at the back add a little more support
Straps: not too wide set, they are also very pretty
Wires: they are quite wide, which is what I need. The do not poke of chafe at the armpit.
Gore: It almost tacks... well, it ... tacks on my smaller side. On my bigger side, it sits a little bit on my breast tissue, not perfect but still comfortable.
Cups: I suppose they are big for 32FF. Beautiful rounded shape. The cup fits well on my smaller boob, but there is a very small quad-boob on my bigger side. Its a lower cut than ful-cup bras, but I believe it higher than most other plunge.

Overall, if this bra came in a UK 30GG, I would buy a dozen! Even if the fit is not the best for my side, I will keep wearing this bra.

EDIT: After wearing it for two full days, this bra is not so good. After a couple of hours, it 'slides down', laying too low. the underwires sit below my IMF, leaving empty fabric at the bottom of the cup. Also, the low wire of the gore pokes my biggest breats.

Overall the band is too big, feels like a 34. There is not enough projection for me.

Edit 2: Narrowing the gore changes the fit a lot. No more poking and a little less quad-boob. This also makes the band a little bit tighter.

    Fits

This bra is fantastic. Bought today at Nordstrom's, and I can't wait to put it in my regular rotation. I almost got it in a 30G (US - or a 30F UK, which is my usual size), but I found that the slightly roomier cup of the 32H (32FF in UK sizing) works a little better for my inner fullness. So, down to brass tacks:

The fit is like a dream. The 32 band is ever so slightly larger than I'd like, but that's to be expected in a sister size. I would say it runs true to size; the 30 band was a better ... fit, but I had to size up for right fit in the cup. I can wear the 32 on the loosest hook, but I think the second hook is more supportive fit. The cups give a nicely rounded and slightly minimized shape, but the plunge provides just enough cleavage with a low-cut top. Demure and inviting at the same time - love it! The cups are also quite close-set, which is perfect for me, but I can see how it might be problematic for those with a wider root. I would be really happy if I could just take the wires on this bra and make them the wires for every other bra I have. They're exactly the right width for my narrow-but-not-really-narrow shape (I guess it's average? What I definitely know is that Curvy Kate wires are comfy but a little too wide to be properly supportive, but the Chantelle wires are just wide enough without making the cups fold over the wire). The lace makes it sexy, but it's practically invisible under my clothes (including thin t-shirts and a poly-blend dress recently bought), so it's perfect for everyday wear or special occasions. I splurged for the matching knickers, too, and the set is amazingly comfy and sexy.

This is, however, a review based on my fitting in-store and at home. Once I've worn it a couple times in real life, I'll have a more realistic idea of the fit and longevity, but I'm very excited about this bra and have high hopes for its performance. (please, oh please don't let it be a dud!)

This bra's fit is amazing. It gives a full round appearance, the band is tight enough to offer plenty of support, the straps are fully adjustable and long enough. The center gore sits right against my sternum and the wings on the side come up far enough to hold in all the breast tissue without cutting into my underarm. Despite it being lace, the seams are all flat enough to not show through my t-shirts. All around the most wonderful bra I've ever owned... and SEXY too! The only con is that at first it was a bit scratchy, but after a few days of wear and a few washes it no longer bothers me.

I don't know what I was thinking sizing up in the cup in such a comparatively shallow bra--my only excuse is I desperately needed a lower cut black bra as I wanted to be able to wear more of my black shirts, many of which were cut too low for the nursing bras I'd been wearing quite some time.

Naturally, the inevitable happened: the too-wide wires hurt my sides, the shallow cup still flattened my profile and looked strange under shirts, the whole bra felt oddly tight even though I have others which measure the same or smaller (but when half the bra is taken up by unfilled underwire, ... the stretch in the band itself can't help you, and it just hurts).

Anyway. This bra is clearly NOT for the more projected boob. Shallower shapes will probably find a good fit.

The materials are good quality and the bra is well-made with a lot of attention to detail. Band seems to be made of very firm material, which I like. It's not my taste--Chantelle has repositioned itself design-wise to extend its global appeal by adding a great number of these caricaturally "Fifi the French maid" Disneyland-French designs, which I find cheap and cheesy, not to mention lacking in exoticism as I am French myself. However, to the non-French eye it is probably a cute bra, and I admit I'm curmudgeonly about these things (see above).

    Used to fit

I absolutely adore this bra! It was my first since having a BA, and when I went to get professionally fitted, it was incredible to try on bras and finally feel how a bra is supposed to fit. I felt like I just learned that I had been wearing my pants on backward for my whole life - a pure revelation. While obviously beautifully constructed, its comfort level is amazing every time I wear it. It's a little troublesome to do the whole "hook it upside down and then flip up the cups" operation, because the cups only go one at a time and ... puts stress on the gore, which I am worried about wearing out too quickly. Aside from that, I love the beautiful straps, which are so detailed that I don't mind at all if they show, and the cup is full enough to make me feel very supported while not being so high that I can't wear low cut tops and vnecks. All in all, this bra has been the best bra that I have ever worn and hope to get a few more with recommendations through your wonderful site.

The fit on this one is way off for my boob shape. I get both quadboobing and baggy fabric at the top, as there's a strangely tight band of lace right at the top edge; the wire doesn't sit anywhere close to my inframammary fold; the band rides up (though not as much as some bras, due to the three-hook column); and worst of all, the wire is just way way waaaay too wide for my root. It seems like it's about as wide as some Curvy Kate bras.

A beautiful bra, but definitely not for my boobs.
