I usually wear a 36L and it's sister sizes in UK brands. My breast shape is full on top and pendulous with wide and short roots. I'm also splayed.
I was at a bargain outlet and spotted some Cacique bras for $6. When I looked at the size of the cups, I thought they looked pretty close to the Curvy Kate Daily Boost that I was wearing in a 36K at the time. I took it back to the fitting room and tried it on. Of course the band is massively too big, but the cups weren't too bad. I find this bra extremely comparable to the ... Curvy Kate Daily Boost (look at the measurements). The only difference is that this bra is actually padded. There's little foam pads at the bottom of the cup that give me perfect cakes on a plate cleavage. The cup digs in a little bit, but not enough to make me uncomfortable. The wires don't dig at all. The straps are extremely thin and stretchy, but they adjust short enough even for me. After wearing this bra for a few hours I start to feel shoulder pain and I have to take it off.
Obviously I don't wear this out in my daily life. It's just not practical that way. I do, however, wear it in the bedroom and when I want to wear something a little more low cut. I wasn't expecting miracles, but I found an extremely cheap animal print bra that makes my boobs look incredible. I can't really complain there. I'd really recommend this bra for anyone in it's intended size range. It's probably the highest quality Cacique bra I've ever tried out besides their strapless bra.
