I love this lilac/lemon color combination and I get my usual 40L Alana fit. But, the straps are a new material which folds over far too easily and even though the cups and band are doing their jobs, the folding straps are cuttiing in, making this my most uncomfortable Alana.
A balconette bra by Bravissimo, the Alana is in bigger cup sizes quite full coverage. The bra is a good construction that supports and lifts boobs very well. I had a few of those over the years, it was not my favorite bra, but it did it's job well. The straps were a bit too seperated and the cups a bit too wide at the sides, but I have that with every bra. I also found the shape under a t-shirt to be good from the side, very round but a bit too east-west from the front. I recommend sizing up 1-2 cup sizes in this expecially if you have full - on - top boobs.
Easily one of my favorite bras. It's easy to see why this bra returns to Bravissimo's lineup again and again. Shape is lovely and lifted and the bra is perfectly comfortable. Really fantastic, especially for an unlined bra. The color is rich and the straps adjust the full length and stay put where you need them.
I'm happy with this bra as it is the first I have that fits me properly. The fabric is comfortable and the range of colours available is great. I find the wing height maybe a little too high as it can start to rub the skin near my armpit after prolonged wear. The back band is lovely and wide and gives great support, as are the wide straps.
When I first put these on I have slight quadboob and slight wrinkling in the bottom of the cup but it settles into place and fits really well. I do find the straps tend to crease and on my nude one they fold in half. Even still this is a decent bra and gives a reasonably natural shape, more east-west than Cleo Marcie but far less than Elomi plunges.
There's a lot of good about this bra, even if it doesn't really work for me. For starters, the 32 is really too tight for size. I use an extender. (I do love the support of the 3 hooks and eyes though!). It's a beautiful light shade of pink (not beige - so don't think you'll be easily able to match the undies with something from another brand. Had to go back and purchase undies afterwards. For deep breasts that aren't full at the centre, this would probably be great. But the gore doesn't tack - even though the bra fits (unusual situation, I realize). It's very supportive and gives great shape. Material is quite firm (not particularly luxe but not unpleasant). Definitely go up a cup size - and probably a band size too. I'd even suggest going up 2 cup sizes as this bra is known for fitting very small.
The Alana bra is perfect for the shape of my boobs. It looks and fits great and works well as an everyday bra while also being sexy enough for a special occasion. It was one of the first bras I bought after being professionally fitted, and it has remained a favourite of mine ever since. The fabric didn't stretch out too much over use; I use it now after almost two years of owning it on the second hook. The one problem it may have is the quality of the fabric/underwire section, as they poked out from the centre after some months of average use and careful washing. Still, the shape and feel of this bra make it worth it for me and if I could, I'd own it in every colour.
