  3. November 2015 Update: Cups too small, band too big even thought I originally shortened it once it stretched out. I still occasionally use this with "chicken cutlets" when I want large, round breasts with lots of cleavage for special occasions. Luckily, while the cups are too small, they don't cause quad boob when I do this, probably because the padding I add is so stiff. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" /> Also, I never ordered a new one cuz I found better bras out there with less chunky bands! AND my migrated breast tissue is now all front and center, no need for help. ... href="https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" rel="nofollow">https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Original 2013 Review: (Note: I didn't read the "don't upload alteration pictures" until after I uploaded the pictures. The band is a bit shortened, but it fits in the pictures like it would have when I first got it before it stretched out so it should look the same as brand-new.)

    When I first got it:
This bra does what every blog review I've read says - it DOES lift and support your breasts like no other bra!! I have the Bracie as well (the mini vest) and the two combined make me stand up straighter and smooth out any lines or bulges on my back. It's extremely comfortable; no pinching, no armpit fat, no quadboob, and no gaping. It fits more snug than any bra I've ever had on the loosest hook. The cups look huge, but it really does pull in any migrated tissue under the arms to fill the cups wonderfully. I have shallow and wide breasts, but this bra gathers everything front and center. I have high-set breasts, but luckily for me the wires ended just below my armpits so I wasn't stabbed, and the straps were tight so they weren't too long. It really feels like this bra was made for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Now:
As this bra is over 6 months old, it has been stretched and warped in the band. I've altered it to be tighter, but no tightening can change the slack under the arms that now allows my breast tissue to slip out behind the wires. When I swoop and scoop, I have slight quadboob, but throughout the day my tissue slips into my armpits and causes gapping in the center of the bra. If I wear it on the tightest hook with the Bracie on the tightest hook, I don't have a slippage problem.

I would definitely recommend this bra because it's comfortable, it has 4 rows of hooks (WAY better than just 2!!), the customer service is wonderful and works with you (and the company pays for shipping if it doesn't fit the first time), and can be worn under almost anything. I know you're not supposed to, but I worn this almost every day for 3 months and I didn't feel it change shape, so it lasted me a really long time. It really feels like it's made from the measurements you send them. I definitely think the $42.99 price and $15 shipping is worth it!! I will be reordering a new Lacie Posture Contour Bra soon. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

After losing nearly 15 lbs, the band is too loose and the cups are too large. Otherwise this is the only bra I've ever owned that has come close to fitting properly. I have the bust measurements of your average 12-year-old, but unlike them I've had and nursed three babies. So despite the pitifully small size of my breasts, they also sag. I need stays, wings and underwire. This meets all my requirements, but it would seem they've gone out of business so I can't order new ones in my current size.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this thing. It seems to fit but it also just seems to be so ... big. Too wide, too tall and gives me a funny shape. However - it looks great under clothes. So it stays.

    • Where did you get it? We thought they stopped making bras!

    • I've had it for awhile, but just getting around to reviewing.

I don't like this bra too much. My biggest complaint is that the cup is too shallow and the wires don't come in contact with my IFM or anywhere on my ribcage, for that matter. As a result, the band curls under. I'm thinking of removing the wire and using this as a lounging bra. I was thinking of giving it away, but I'm not even sure how to reference the fit or sizing as this (and all other early phase Braologie bras) are custom sized.

Before my discovery and forage into the world of UK sized bras, I was buying my bras from a Hong Kong and Toronto based bra manufacturer called My Heart Lingerie (now known as BodiBra). The concept of their bras was to promote posture correction and the elimination of tissue migration. Their bras had 3 wide hook closures that allowed for a sturdy wide wing, there was side support boning and sling-style bands running along the bottom of the cup. Sizes range from 30-40 AA-J (Chinese sizing). But alas, with my student bra budget of La Senza sale quantities, I gave up on these bras which were $120 a ... pop.

Enter Braologie. It was actually a search on this bra company that brought me here to Bratabase. So we go way back. A quick word on the company itself; they are located in Hong Kong, I believe and only sell bras online. It can be tricky figuring out the sizing on your own, so generally, if you let them figure out your size for you, it usually works out nicely. Their customer service staff is polite and helpful. However, you need to have a thick skin when discussing your body with other people outside North America (generally speaking). What you may consider to be a rude comment might actually be quite normal and polite enough in other cultures.

With that out of the way, let's move on to the bra! The bra being reviewed is actually the second one I received from them. The first one I received was too big in the cup and the straps were spaced too far apart on my back to the point they sat to the outsides of my shoulder blades. In this bra, they got the strap spacing right, but the cups turned up getting too shallow at the bottom. As a result, the bra does not sit on the front of my ribcage but instead, it sits on my boobs and is pushed away from my chest wall. This causes the bottom of the band to fold and be pushed downwards and trying to escape into my inframammary fold. Very annoying. Another thing I dislike is the fact that the shoulder straps are not very wide and also very thin. This causes it to cut little slits into my shoulders no matter how tight/loose, close/far I adjust them.

The one saving grace about this bra is the band and wings. I'm a huge fan of hooks and this one does not disappoint with 4 hooks. The construction of the band is very sturdy and it does not shift around much (this could also be partly caused by the fact it's sitting on my boobs and being pushed out more than it should be). However, the band is comfortable and the wings cover my back and under my arms brilliantly. The cup construction also deserves a nod, as does the general construction quality of the bra itself.

But the rolling under band issue is bad one. Bad enough for me to not enjoy wearing it. I could just need a larger cup that's a bit less shallow. Although I've heard of many cases where this bra has worked out for people, I'm sadly not one of them.

I really should've checked this bra's measurements against those of my well fitting bras, because this lovely black lace bra is far too big in the band and cups for me. I can't say anything more useful than that.

If think if you fit well in half-cups and balconettes, Braologie may fit as well. It seems to lift from the bottom of the cups in the way that half-cups and balconettes do. The best part of the fit for me is the tall sides, because it's very, very hard to find such tall sides in a bra for my small breasts! The cups have 3 part seams, they are lightly padded, and the bottoms are lined with sleeves for push up pads. The bra has a leotard back, which is ideal for rounded shoulders. The band is made of stretch mesh and elastic, with 4" tall sides ... seams, and soft boning. The cups have a "platform" that connects them to the straps, which works to keep underarm tissue inside the cups. Unlike other "side support" bras I have, Braologie has wide back wings as well as tall side wings. This element in the design gives tissue nowhere to go but forward into the bra's cups.

When I first saw pictures of Braologie bras, I thought they looked like padded push-ups designed specifically for exaggerated cleavage, and to make breasts look larger. Braologie claims this is not the case - they really want to design functional, comfortable bras. I was concerned that the center gore would sit on my breasts, too, but Tallia, my Braologie fitter, told me the designs intend for the center gore to touch the breastbone. Apparently on some wearers, the center gore can "float" but Braologie intends for that to be temporary. Braologie's philosophy is based on "reshaping" breasts that have been deformed due to wearing badly fitted bras. In addition, Braologie aims to eliminate underarm rolls. The bra itself does this, because the cups are designed to fit breasts that are full on the bottoms and sides. In addition to covering armpit rolls with the sides and cups, Braologie claims that wearing their bras can eventually lead to armpit tissue "remigrating" back to the main parts of the breasts, causing the wearer perhaps to need a larger cup size. The "floating gore" is supposed to accommodate this transition period.

This design seems ideal for those of us who project sideways instead of forward. The key is that there is enough room in the bottoms of the cups not to cause my breasts to be squished together or to fall out of the cups over the gore. With this design it is imperative that the cups are big enough for all the tissue, otherwise there would be cutting, plunging, and squishing everywhere. The cups come with padding in them, but I removed the pads right away. They feel bulky to me, especially because this design has a lot of "push up" to begin with. Perhaps the cups aren't so bulky with larger breasts, but I prefer enough room in the cup for all my breast tissue.

Other things I've noted so far: The band is definitely the tightest on any bra I've worn. I hook it on the loosest hooks, and it is snug. For the first time in my life, I may use the included extender with this bra for awhile. The "Beige" color is a very good match for me. The Beige color in the Lacie is a completely different color from my Beige Casual; darker and more tan than yellow tones. For such a high functioning, everyday type bra, it is very pretty.

Bra is at least 2 cups too sall for me so I can't say much about the fit of them.
    Band is too big.
Biggest con - lovely wide band with 4 rows of hooks.
I do believe this bra couls be great and comfy in correct size.
