Nice looking bra, feels well made and sturdy.

The band however feels quite tight and the cups are on the smaller and more shallow side.

On me the cups are squishing the boobs very heavily, which is common with strapless bras but this one does it much more than others. Would recommend sizing up in both band and cup (unless you like the girls squished).

Beautiful design, surprisingly comfortable and not itchy or pokey despite all the lace and wires that come with longline corset style bras. Unfortunately the band is too big so it rides up and the straps can't be pulled tight enough but I still wear it on occasion as it's gorgeous and comfortable!

    This bra fits...very strangely.
The band is quite snug. and I think I would've been fine with a 30 band. I have no extender on hand to see if that helps the fit, but we'll go with it.
The shape is... so so odd. The bras are very pointy - I can't even say projected, they're straight up pointy. Madonna-esque. When I scoop and swoop. I get weird spillage, but the apex of the bra feels like it is completely empty. Maybe this is what a too-projected lined/padded bra looks like on me, as bras that I've tried on that are too projected have been unpadded.

I own the Ann Summers Sexy Lace bras, which I would argue is the sister to the Mollie bra (they're rival companies, and the bras look the exact same), and I prefer my Sexy Lace better, even if I can only get it in a 30 band. However, if you're quite projected, and I emphasise projected, give it a try. Maybe size up on band though.

    Fits

About me: Shallow, tall and narrow-average roots, even vertical fullness, close-set but extremely outer full so I don't look close-set at all.

Believe it or not, 28Cs are so hard to find that this is my first time getting a bra in my calculator size. (Most of the other 28Cs out there are shape mismatches for me, while TLBC runs small so I have to get 30C in that brand.) It's a little narrow and reminiscent of TLBC, but broadly fits well (better than my TLBC Ava) and gives great support. The band definitely runs tight, but since I'm a small 28 that's not much of an issue; the wires are about as narrow as your average Japanese bra, but they also don't come up high enough to cause any problems. Generally speaking, worth the $25 on sale!

    Hasn't set fit

    Fits ribcage 30
    B. perimeter 35
    Stretched Band 30.5
    Band Length 21.5
    Stretch ratio 1.4
    Cup width 5.5
    Cup depth 9.5
    Depth ratio 1.7
    Wire length 10.5
    Cup height 5.75
    Cup separation 0.8
    Gore height 2.9
    Wing height 4.0
    Strap width 1.0
    Strap length 17
    Hooks 2

Cup shape is primary halfcup, overall projected shape and even width on both halves, so might be prone to east-west.

True to what I've seen from the rest of this brand, bottom inch of cup is very shallow! So this is ok for upper full types, or for some even fullness. Might not work as well with bottom fullness.

Build is thick/soft/pillowy with satin ... outer/cotton knit inside cups, very supportive although openness on top and shortness of cup may leave some room for improvement with movement.

The straps are reminiscent of like a handbag, oblong or oval shaping, very soft and attach in the front with a large o-ring. I ***Really*** like these in particular.

Band is flat/straight not curved like polish bras. It's made with a higher quality powermesh and appears to not have the issues with elastics and main being different stretch ratios (looking at you panache & curvy kate).

Since this is not for me, am not quite sure how the fit and wear is like.

This can hardly be called a balconette. I was warned that the "balconettes are good for shallow breasts" advice only really applied to smaller cup sizes, but I was not prepared for its cups to actually be deeper and narrower than other bras in its size. That's, like, the exact opposite of the reason one buys balconettes, isn't it? As a consequence of this, the underwire doesn't at all sit right (even when I feel like I've scooped all my side boob into the cup, the outer underwire is still floating), the gore never quite rests properly, and I look ridiculous with these enormous-looking cups that are essentially ... resting on air. As if to add insult to injury, the top of the cups actually cut into my breasts if I bend forward at all, despite not even coming close to filling their extremely round depths. I don't know to what extent it's related, but the straps are also way too wide-set; I'm assigned male at birth and my shoulders can barely catch them. Really, this whole bra just feels like it's measured wrong in all the right places. Even the band doesn't actually stretch to a 40 (though this one is fine for me because I'm between a 38 and a 40).

Rating this bra is pretty difficult. It seems well-made, but also poorly-measured? The fabric is extremely comfortable, but literally everything else about it isn't. The bra looks really pretty and cute in a vacuum or on a model, but looks absolutely terrible on me. I'm just gonna split the difference as best I can. I'm really disappointed with this, and at this price (I paid like $60), I'm terrified to try another full-bust sized balconette after this one.

  8. St Kitts Bikini Top

My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full.
The St Kitts is similar to the other boux avenue bikinis I have. It doesn't fit me anymore but it was perfect depth wise when I was a 26FF but the band rode up a little. Really good for cleavage, moderate projection and width (but outstanding for a moulded bikini especially in comparison to cleo and freya). It also is angled in a way where the its thicker foam at the bottom than the top to push up the boobs. I would love to get this in a 30G, since I love the color and design. Definitely more for tanning and lounging around than swimming lol.

When I first got this bra, the cups fit perfectly and were super comfortable. The band was quite a bit too small so I got a band extender and it fit perfect. I've since gotten bigger and it no longer fits at all. It is really cute. I do think Boux Avenue runs a bit small.

This is a really cool looking bra. I'm sad they are out of 30G, or I'd try it, even though I'm pretty sure it won't fit (probably not projected at wire enough for my FOB breasts).

The fit itself is pretty good, but it's a shape mismatch for me. I believe I have a lower breast root, so while I fill out the cup, from the middle on down, the top has extra space. The straps on this bra are a bit far apart and fall down a lot. The wires stop below the actual top of the bra cups, so it has a hard time containing my tissue, and the wire pokes into my armpit. The quality is alright for the price point, but it has stretched out a lot in the two months I've owned it.

I've had this one a while and only just got around to writing a review because it doesn't exist on Bratabase yet. It was my go-to for a while, but I think the combo of having outgrown it a bit and the band stretching out means it's not long for my closet.

The Good: It's really pretty. The black mesh is embroidered with large red flowers across the cup, and the mesh detailing is sporty. The wires aren't too wide and for a seamed foam cup the projection isn't bad. It creates a nice silhouette under clothes (like Comexim but less minimised) and it's relatively comfy. It has the ... best nip coverage of all my current bras, and is a good cut for my FoT shape.

The Bad: That pretty mesh at the base of the band rolls up and gets itchy, the gore is just a smidge too wide and these days the cups are too small so the gore doesn't tack. It's a 30 band and I started on the tightest hooks, so its life was always going to be short, and in its defence, it didn't stretch out as quickly as a Cleo or a Freya.

The Ugly: Nothing really. I'd take the punt on a Boux Avenue 28F now if I could find a cheap one.

This workhorse has had a good life and been a good bra. Now it's saved for work shifts when I know it'll be sweaty and I don't want to ruin a Comexim, but still want something comfortable.

Surprise!! It is now December 2018, and this bra has actually fit since June!! It sat waiting to be sold for nearly a year, when I was at a distraught place with a new body weight and breast size and all my bras rapidly becoming too big (weight loss was healthy and intentional, but having nothing to fit sucks!!), so I was trying on all my previously too-small bras to see if any would fit... And BAM, new bra!! The fit was really close! But as I always hated that, for a plunge that's supposed to induce cleavage, it sure as hell had a really wide gore. The ... straps were also too wide, so the infamous foam cup gapping was happening. So.... I altered the bra!! It was something I had always thought about, but was scared to do. I sew partially for a living, and couldn't do a hack job... SO.... Go on over to my other listing of this bra with alterations and see how it went... https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

    -------------
    Older Oct 2017 review below.

So sad. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> As you can see, it is a MUCH bigger difference, in both size and shape, than the 30E. I expected just one cup down, but this feels like 2 or 3 cups smaller (30E was about a half cup too big). The apex is more than an inch lower, and the side of the cup and wing much lower as well. Somehow, the cups felt more separated though. The band was shorter but stretched longer. Wires nearly the same width, but significantly shorter and MUCH shallower cups.
Here is my comparison, and I included photos of them side by side to show how huge of a difference they have.
    http://bra.pe/CLr9/
The color is a bright neon pink, not the fuchsia as listed on Boux Avenue's website, which was a disappointment as well. Not quite as good in quality of wing mesh, thinner and shorter straps, and significantly shallower and shorter in cups. I admired this so long, I am SO sad it won't ever work. :'(
Boux Avenue is very cruel with their shipping costs and return policies, so returning is sadly not an option. It's still a good bra, just not the right one for me. Hopefully someone else can find this a cute bra to add to their closet!

I was so upset Chloe Lace Balconette didn't fit me. But surprisingly, this Chloe plunge bra actually fits me. The bra has removable inserts. The only bad thing is not wearing the removable padding kinda gives a pointy profile... Though I don't really mind as much. The band in this runs tight, which is good for me since my UB is 25-26.
