The volume of this bra is just about right but the shape is all wrong. I get a fair bit of cutting in along the top edge of the cup and it's almost half an inch too wide on the sides. The gore, band, and straps are all fine. Something about the construction of the band makes it kind of pinchy and uncomfortable under the cups but it doesn't ride down or up. It wasn't too bad when I first got it, but my breasts have grown a bit since then and the cutting in along the top edge has gotten worse.
I have the light blue and the ...overall look of the bra is pretty unexciting to me. I like the silver details and yellow bows but I don't particularly like the beige cup showing showing through the blue overlay. It also gives a pretty wide set look. I think it could be good for someone with FoB breasts and a lot more outer fullness than center. For now I'm keeping it as it's my only true t-shirt or plunge bra and I only paid $7 for it. This bra probably would have fit had I gone down to a 30D or 30DD. The band in this one is very stretchy, so it rode up a bit on me, and the cup was definitely way too big for me. I got mine for free from someone else, and even though it was new the underwire was already poking through, so that may be something to look out for quality-wise. Otherwise, it's pretty nice.
Great bra! It does run a little large in the cup. Get this bra if your cup volume is in between 30C and 30D. I quad just slightly in this but it's still better for me than the 30D. I usually wear 30D.
This bra seems to run large in the cup, and stretches hugely. Since my tight underbust is 29'', having a 30-band bra stretch this far is kind of problematic, especially when the cups are too large as it is. They gape awkwardly.
That said, it is very comfortable and apart from the lace on the top of the cups has a very subtle footprint.
The push-up padding in this bra pushes me into slight quad-boobing even on my smaller side, and while the band runs expectedly tight for a strapless bra, it still isn't tight enough for me to keep from sliding down except at the innermost hooks (I am more 30D, but this was given to me as a free bonus with a 30D bra by a generous person). There is a single non-slip line on the upper part of the band and there are stays in the wings, but the back is only a single layer of mesh with only two hooks, so it probably won't last long. ... It definitely isn't my style, but since I don't have any strapless bras in my size and those are notoriously hard to get a good fit for as a shallow, close-set lass, I am keeping it until I have something that does better. Speaking of close-set, despite the upper width of the gore being .75" when I have only a .5" allowance at the 2" height of a gore, the keyhole cut out in the gore lets it push together closer without rising onto my breast tissue, so it is able to lie flat.
Style-wise: Regardless of my own taste, the colorway is called Cheetah, the actual print is some kind of camouflage/leopard combo, and there are pink and gold tiny rhinestones glued on the removable pink satin straps which in this used version already have lost several of their mates, leaving little glue dot memories behind. Pretty happy with this. I'm pregnant and have been buying the cheapest name brand bras I can find off of Amazon.
The Stocking Stripe is a fuller cup than I am used to, and I feel like it runs a bit large.
The cup, though it started off too big for me, is super forgiving. Once I had the bra on, unless I stuck my hand inside, you couldn't tell it didn't fit (no visible gaps or dents). The shape is nice and roundish, and there is a piece of lace at the top that made it sit really nicely on my body.
The band is stretchy. If I were to buy this bra normally, I'd definitely size down a band if it were possible.
The material is kind of strange. Even after washing, it has a rubbery sticky feeling to it.
Overall, I like this bra enough to buy it again (in a different size) if I found another great deal.

It'd consider this a contoured demi-bra. Although my size is fluctuating right now, I would guess that the band runs tighter or firmer than average, and the cups may be either slightly smaller or on the shallow side. Both awesome things for me, usually.
The contour foam is so wonderfully thin, feels dense and high quality (won't get flat and misshapen over time), and the upper edge is ...almost totally smooth since it is thin and dense. For me currently, the cup is just a touch too shallow or small, as I am getting a tiny pucker popping up near the gore. Since I am in size flux right now, I assume it is because I don't have the right size and not necessarily because of the cup shape or volume.
The band feels great. On first wearing, it feels nice and tight, probably a bit tighter than your usual 32B band would be. The fabric is smooth/silky and does not feel flimsy. Not sure how much it will stretch out, but I don't feel too worried as it's not thin or meshy feeling.
The Caramel Latte color is not what I expected. It's not the deep nude my monitor showed, more of a light cocoa color. I don't think it is so dark that it will show under clothes, though (didn't test it out under sheerer shirts, as it's almost winter). Read more 162 more words
I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the Forever Perfect bra line. This bra was the first I'd tried on after determining my "true size" -- I fondly remember that first "holy crap" moment of bending over without any gapping, or having my boobs spilling out of the cups. At the time of these pictures I have been wearing this bra almost every day for two months, including for some pretty active, sweaty manual labor. The band has stretched less than half an inch -- I'm still fastening it on the loosest hooks. My body composition has changed since purchase, and am no longer a ...true 32DD. Currently leaning towards a 30 band, still trying to determine my new cup size.
The material is soft and silky smooth, characteristic of all the BJ bras I've tried. There's quite a bit of moldable memory-foam-like padding; back when I was a true 32DD, I was thrilled at the combination of containment and lift, with the low-to-moderate coverage I want. However, I think this bra might be better for someone whose breast tissue is self-supporting, or someone who is more shallow than I am (i.e., someone better-suited for moldable cups). The cup is is certainly deep enough in the middle to lift and support my tissue, but see how mine wrinkle at the bottom? That's partially because I have needed to size down for a while now, but also because my boobs stay pretty soft/pendulous for most of the month and haven't compressed the foam padding enough to mold it.
Ultimately, I still love this bra despite the fact that it no longer fits me *quite* right, and own it in three colors. It's a better fit around the time of my period, when my cystic breasts become larger and firmer. I think I paid about $12-17 for each bra on Amazon, which is a pretty outstanding deal in my book. A bit tight in the band compared to most 32s I've tried. Somewhat shallow in the cup for the 32DDs I've tried. Sturdy band and strap construction, and although I clearly need to size down, the cups molded well to my breasts. The underwire is just a smidge too wide for me, very close to matching my roots. However, the cup material is thin, and I suspect that with time the bottom of the cups will begin to fold in like the other Forever Perfect bras I've tried (push-up and strapless), regardless of whether you fill out the bottom of the cup or not.
This would make a great everyday/t-shirt bra - love the array of colors and patterns.

This is a beautiful bra, personally I should've ordered a 32E instead of 30DD, but with a band extender it fits fine. My only qualm is that, after only a couple weeks (of admittedly daily wear but with hand washing only) some of the edges are starting to fray, namely the piece between where the strap connects to the cup and the underwire on the right cup, but the problems I have with it are more from buying the wrong size and excessive use, so I really can't fault BJI, overall this is a great bra.
This 32DDD version of this bra fits me a little better than the 32DD Betsey Johnson Stocking Stripe bras that I have. It encompasses more of my breast tissue and I don't have the slight quadboobing that I get from the 32DD's. The only problem that I have with the cup size up is the height of the cups. They come up so high that they are right under the crease of my arm pit, which is a little uncomfortable. It also causes the cups to gape a little when I put both arms forward. My arm movement actually pushes the top of ...the cup forward. I had the same thing happen when I tried on the 32DDD size of the Natori Hidden Glamour Underwire bra. I don't have any problems with any of my 32DD bras, just when I try to size up a cup. Not sure what I'm going to do if I get sized out of my 32DD bras. Most of the cup shapes that fit my shallow shape on top are plunge or three-quarter style cup shapes that come up higher on the outer edges. Full coverage cups that are farther away from my armpit just don't fit my breast shape well, and half-cup balconette styles are hit or miss. I'm starting to realize that I'm built a little higher up on the chest wall than I realized. Oh well, guess I'll figure out what to do when it becomes more of a necessity to size up to 32DDD! So, are there different brands and models that fit shallow shapes that don't come up higher on the outer side of the cup? That seems to be a defining feature for what style of cup fits shallow breasts.
Sometimes half cups do better. And just different brands sometimes fit differently. and then there's always the custom-fit cut-lower cups from Comexim.
I'm sad this one didn't work out for you. I will say that if you're having trouble with the side wall and wings being too tall, and you want to try the half-cup styles I have, you probably won't have much luck with them. I had problems with Orange In A Glass and quad boob, but never had issue with the sides being too tall, and a lot of my Fauve half-cups (and the Freyas I've tried) come up even higher. For me, that was great! For you, it sounds like it may or may not.
Natori works beautifully for me, for reference. I think I have more projection than you do, though.
Oh, I wouldn't say it didn't work out for me. I love the color of this one, such a pretty and intense blue. The armpit thing is just a minor irritant, but it doesn't make the bra unwearable by any means. It will be going into my rotation of bras to wear.
It just made me more aware of the problem of needing slightly shorter cups on the top outside edge so they don't end up in my armpit crease. The irony is that the taller edge of the cup along the center of my chest contains my really soft breast tissue much better than the 32DD cups.
I actually love having higher wings on the side of the band. That plus wider wires helps contain all of the breast tissue that actually sits under my armpit, which is at least a third of my breasts, unfortunately. I just don't need my Tail of Spence in the cup!
Looking at the pictures of the front on shot of both of us wearing this bra it's really obvious that you've got more length from the bottom edge of the underwire to your shoulder line than I do. The top of the cup comes up much higher on me. It kind of looks like it's trying to crawl right over the top of my shoulder. lol
I did notice in the photos that the distance to your shoulder looks a lot shorter than mine. I also noticed in recent photos that I tend not to notice when side walls are almost-in-my-armpit (as opposed to actually in it), even though in photos they look SO HIGH, so that definitely affects both our perspectives!
I am glad you like it! The blue is why I got it. It was never technically perfect, because I have tall roots and it cut me off sometimes on period days, but I just couldn't say no to the color. :)
This one runs crazy tight in the band, definitely fits like a tight 28, similar to Cleo. In other words, just right for me.
The cups don't suit my shape: there's a liiittle bit of a gap in the bottom and it's cutting in a liiittle bit at the top, but I can sort of hike it up and squish myself in there and it works. So I bought it and I'll use it, but I'm definitely cutting that tacky little gold rose charm off. Would recommend this one for full on bottom 28D/DDs.
Edit: Wore it strapless and it rode down in the front all day long. No idea why, ...since the band is tight and I definitely do not fill the bottom of the cup. The sliding down only makes the quadding worse, since it's very closed on top.
I have a suspicion that the underwires are too far apart near the lower middle of the centre gore. It tacks at the top but not in the middle and feels like it's sitting on breast tissue in the middle when the wires are in my IMF at the bottom. :/
Edit 2: tried to wear with straps. only lasted about 30 seconds before tearing it off because holy mother of quadboob, this does not fit. Oh and the strap loops are ridiculously wide set, digging into armpits. Listing now. Read more 118 more words
Grabbed another Retro Glamour on sale off of Herroom. This bra is so comfortable I barely know it's on, and the fit is all together perfect. I love the outrageous color design on this one (Pretty Kitty), but then I've always been a sucker for hot pink.
As much as I wanted to like this bra, it was way too shallow for me, which made it rather painful to wear. That being said, it does seem nice and soft. Take my "poor" comfort rating with a grain of salt if you are shallow, because my discomfort was very much caused by poor fit.
Found this lovely purple, pink, and yellow version of the Retro Glamour Demi (Gigi Floral colorway) on the clearance rack at Nordstrom's. It fit absolutely perfectly so I snapped it right up!
Much brighter pink then most online pictures show, almost neon pink. Fit is nearly perfect. Slight quadboob on larger breast. Wires are wide enough to encase the tissue under my armpit instead of squashing it. May have to go up a cup size after a few months as I have extra tissue that is finally in a bra cup that fits for the first time ever. Minor creaking noises from bra with sudden movements.
