What a pleasant surprise! Unlined, wire-free support First, I tried the size medium, which is the size I prefer in Bali 3488. But, in this 3484 unlined model, I received no support from the medium band. The small, however, is fantastic! Sigh. Why have I waited so long to try these?
Last night, I slept blissfully with this bra supporting my breasts. 75% of my tissue was moved out of my armpits and 100% of my tissue stayed clear of my neck. I am thrilled. So thrilled, in fact, I did not remove it ...when I awoke. Typically, I don't wear any bra for more than 2 hours. I never expected to find a bra this supportive, lightweight, and comfortable. Thank you, Bali!
The Bali 3488 is too heavy for my summer gardening habit. But, this 3484 is just what I require. The knit even wrangles my prominent nipples: I won't feel embarrassed when neighbors or strangers see me. And, this red hides sufficiently well, for me, under white t-shirts.
I am a size 30H/HH depending on the day, and I have never worn a soft cup bra that fit me so well right off the rack. When I went to Kohl's to try it on, my husband said, "Wait. You're going to a DEPARTMENT store to find a bra? Since when does that work for you?"
It is ridiculously comfortable, and with the pink lace, it's even kinda pretty. The fabric of the cups stretches beautifully to accommodate even my fairly large cup size, and the straps are very stretchy and comfortable without being supportive. The shape it gives is not my favorite (a little ...too east-west for wearing out), but it's more than adequate for wearing around the house and to sleep, and for $17, I'm very pleased! I took the pink with lace in a medium and ordered a grey heather one. The pink one fits beautifully with the alteration I made to the band (no quadding), but the heather grey one runs a bit tighter in the band and cuts into the top of my breast a bit. I think it's because of the line of elastic on the grey that the pink doesn't have because of the lace. If your breasts are on the larger side, and you want to buy this bra (which I definitely encourage you to do!), I would recommend avoiding the colors with elastic along the top unless you have very firm breast tissue. I hoped this would work because I really like the fit of my Bali Comfort Revolution Smart Sizes Shaping Wirefree Bra (http://bra.pe/XWoL/). Unfortunately this doesn't really do much to make my boobs look better. The cups are slightly too large, smaller cups would've given me more support. The band is also too large, and while this isn't a problem with the comfort shaping bra, it doesn't work well with this bra.
My Bali Small 3484 was pulling painfully across the outer, upper quadrant of my breast two weeks per month. So, it was time to try Medium. Although my breasts are their smallest now, this should fit comfortably when they are swollen, too.
I'm very thankful for these most comfortable bras. They do not provide the support I need, but the comfort is unbeatable. This is my sleep bra.
This band was a bit large for me. But, the fabric is delightfully soft and gently supportive. The straps are padded, wide, supportive, and non-adjustable.
The lace is more scratchy than I prefer, but, in general, I dislike lace for this very reason. The lace did not instantly cause red welts which indicates it is less scratchy than others. If you are sensitive, the lace may bother you. I, however, will order this identical model in a smaller size.
The Bali 3484 is so comfortable, I intend to wear it as a camisole under lower necklines. The lace edge seemed more like a camisole and less like a bra. I will reorder this in size small and feel exceptionally comfortable as well as gently supported.
