    Fits

This bra is so gorgeous and comfortable!

The pictures don't do proper justice to the gorgeous color. It's this lovely metallic blue under black lace. There's a velvet strip at the very top of the cups. The top of the cups and the bottom of the band are decorated in soft lace (which doesn't irritate my sensitive skin!) which sticks out from the bra and the body.

I'm never quite sure what to make of half-cups or how to check their fit versus a plunge bra, but this seems to fit great. The inside of the cups is soft and secure-feeling. The cups are gloriously narrow for a half-cup and ... fit me well. I don't feel like I've got dangerous levels of boob hanging out (as has been a worry in an Ewa Michalak half-cup) but it's still very nicely low-cut--I need to buy some scoop-neck tops!

It's also a very secure bra. It doesn't staple my boobs to my chest but it does keep them very nicely in-place, while I feel a more bouncy in my Ewa half-cup. Although that's probably because the Ewa half-cup had a slightly stretched-out band, and this bra's band is a pretty great length for me, very nicely firm.

A+ bra, I highly recommend it to my boob-twin. If you're narrow, FOT-to-even, center-full, and at least moderately projected, this might be a pretty good bra for you.

Wow, so pretty! Where did you get it??

    • In a swap from another bratabase user--I haven't ordered anything directly from Avocado yet!

This looks fabulous on you! So glad to see it's found a home where it can do good work ;)

Thanks! It's honestly become one of my favorite bras already.

  2. This is a lovely bra!

Ordering with Avocado's sizing (they use a 4cm rather than a 1 inch increment in their cup sizing) proved a little tricky. For my 30FF breasts, I ordered both the 65G and the 65H**. The H is at least one and a half cup sizes too large, but the G is pretty much perfect. There's the *tiniest* fraction of gapping on the larger breast, so tiny I'm not actually sure it's there and isn't just an illusion produced by the lace overlaying the thicker cup lip; if it is there, it's probably just an artefact of my being a little shallow on top.

The cups ... have good immediate projection, so they're FOB-friendly, and unlike a lot of other half-cups they don't flatten my breasts out wide and minimised. It's not as forward as, say, an EM half-cup, but it's not bad. The wires on this are wide, so anyone lusting after an EM bra who can't face her narrow wires, this would be a good alternative!

The straps are only partly adjustable, which isn't a problem for me; what does concern me is that they don't have any decoration or stitching to stop the extenders sliding, so I'm not sure how they'll hold up once they've got a bit of wear in them.

The band is pretty firm, I could easily have gone with a 70; consider sizing up in the band if you don't like your bras tight.

** To guess my size, I put on my best-fitting bra with the most forward projection (Freya Arabella) to take my overbust measurement, and then used the sizing chart on Avocado's website (http://avocado.com.pl/en/content/6-fit-guide), which put me in between 65G and 65H. The website recommends choosing the larger size if you're in between, but the smaller G worked far better for me.

    • This review was very helpful. I am now considering an Avocado purchase, whereas before I assumed their wires would be too narrow for my 30F/FF breasts. I actually can wear EM's 65F in Pl and 3D.

    • Glad it helped - they make beautiful bras! I don't know what their wire widths are like on their balconnette styles - it seems the wires on halfcups are always wider than on unlined styles, even in the Polish brands. But I have the Kyoto in the mail as my exchange for the 65H in this style, so I'll be able to report how Avocado's unlined style works in comparison to their half ups when it arrives.

    • Are you going to try their plunges, if they have any? I have to wear plunges because of no space between the boobs.

    • I'm the same, absolutely zero space between the boobs - even the Marcie's gore is too wide for me. Very frustrating. I'd love to try Avocado's K cut, which I think is probably their plunge, but honestly I suspect all the Polish bras have good gores for close-set breasts. It might depend on tissue firmness, but I found the gore on this bra pretty perfect. The Kyoto I have coming is, I think, the A cut.

    60J

    Didn't fit

Summary: Avocado size suggestion too small in cups; bands run true to size; somewhat narrow wires; stunning quality and highly recommended

First of all, it is important to note that Avocado have their own sizing and do not use EU sizing, with their cups increasing in increments of 4cm, unlike an inch in UK/US cups. I was recommended this size through emails with Avocado based on a 28inch underbust and 39 standing and 40 leaning bust measurement and me wearing about a 28HH/J in UK bra sizing. I was told that the 60 J & 60K I had asked for would probably be too big and their bands run ... tight in the 60 band so they suggested trying 65H. I did order a 60J though, its sistersize.

This bra is the Camelia, part of their bridal range; I only bought this as it only had my sizes available in the 'Model D' style (see http://www.avocado.com.pl/sklep/pl/modele.html) that I thought would be good for my full-on-top breast shape.

The bra runs about 2-3 UK cups too small for me and the band I can tighten and fit into the band quite nicely.

Despite that, these bras are very beautiful and are of lovely quality and I'm very annoyed they don't fit! The lace is beautiful and the straps, unlike in other bras I have tried, are not too wide. The wires also ran okay me and I have a narrow root, so need Comexim/Ewa Michalak narrowness in wires. I would say they are not as narrow as the above, other Polish bra companies but they are quite good. The distortion from the too small cups is unhelpful in wire assessment.

    • The bra looks look tight in the band and it looks like it's distorting the cups. Is that a possibility?

    • It probably is tight in the band but this is probably caused be the bra being 2-3 cups too small, so my breasts are pushing the cups away and making it tight, rather than the band itself being small I think. It's sister size in the larger band was as small in the cups.

    • Right, but if the cups were pushing away the band, why would they be distorted? I say this because the cups look and inch too wide and Avocado isn't known for being wide.

    • I don't really know but I don't think it can be assessed well because the cups were incredibly small for my shape. The band felt fine on me.

    65H

    Didn't fit

A beautiful bra. The cups are a bright teal/blue colour with a black mesh overlay and a velvet strip along the cup's top edge. The front part of the straps are the same fabric as the cups. The band has a section of sheer lace at the wings, and the back is made of a very firm elastic.

The band runs tight enough that I think it would be suitable for 28" underbusts; worth sizing up if you like a looser fit or you're nudging the upper end of your band size.

The cups swim on me, by at least one and a half UK cup sizes -- ... so because the 65G fits my 30FF boobs, I'd estimate the 65H in this bra is equivalent to something between a 30G and 30GG (and 28 band sister sizes).

Copied from my review of the 65G:
The cups have good immediate projection, so they're FOB-friendly, and unlike a lot of other half-cups they don't flatten my breasts out wide and minimised. It's not as forward as, say, an EM half-cup, but it's not bad. The wires on this are wide, so anyone lusting after an EM bra who can't face her narrow wires, this would be a good alternative!
