    Used to fit

This is not a longline, which I knew purchasing it but I still think it's weird that it's called that.

    Anyway.

This is by far the best bathing suit top I've ever owned. It fits perfectly. The cups are similar in padding and style to the Deco Charm, but a bit lower cut and therefore provide better cleavage, and don't have that irritating empty space up top like some Decos.
Even in my Vibe and Charm, I have a small bit of empty space.
If you're super FoT, you may want to consider sizing up in this.
FoB with tall roots, or even should work really well in these cups.

The back is ... a plastic snap close. Idk the actual term for it.
The back band, in this size, does not look like the stock photo. It's a lot thinner, which, I'm fine with.

I bought this off eBay, so I knew what I was getting and I'm absolutely super happy with it, I'm just including that in case this is available anywhere else and a stock photo is all that's available.

The cups in this are very centered, with close (just touching and then splayed) center wires.
The wire width, I will measure later, but I'm guessing somewhere around 4.8-5". Perfect for me.

The cup depth is just enough. Any less and I'd be quadding; any more and I would feel a little unsure about wearing this as a bathing suit.

Speaking of which, I wish this was a bra. Can someone just copy the design and make it without all the swim material, pleeeaase? It's great. The design, padding, and structure is like a hybrid Deco and Comexim Basic. Deco roundness and padding, Comexim wires and cup structure. Perfect for swim.

I'd recommend this for anyone who needs narrow wires and somewhat projected cups. It works with my roots because it's similar to a demi. The halter aspect and demi design combined make this so it gives nice cleavage. Not bombshell sexy, pushup, bedroom cleavage, but just enough for a swim top.

The band is firm and I'd say TTS. I did buy this used, so I can't validate whether or not it comes that way out of packing.

Having tried this and realizing how similar it is to the Deco, I'm kind of really wishing Freya would make a half cup Deco(without it being wide!). That would actually work for me. xD

Coloring and pattern is nice. Not my favorite, but I don't dislike it. I think I'm kinda more into greens, purples and pinks this year. And blues, always. So those colors are in this, but the orange and black are what stand out to me.

Super happy to have found this. No more crazy VS bikinis for me.https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> The last one I had was over $50 and the colors faded- in a salt pool. And the cups are always too far apart and sit on my boobs in the middle. I wish I could take their fabrics(at least the ones I have that didn't fade)and put them on a bikini like this. In the meantime, this suits me so much better so whatever about my picky fabric tastes.
    xD

If there's anything I could really do without, it's the short, bulky center bow. It's too short to tie in any way that doesn't look like a bow-tie, and it covers all the awesomeness going on in front because of the bulk.
I guess maybe that was intentional, but I just find it annoying.

Other than that, I'd give this abkut 9/10.

I need a top like this in my life. Wonder if it comes in other colors, and if you could take the bow off? Like if it's just stitched on by a few stitches, should be easy to remove.

I love Asos swimwear! I have a great one piece from them that fits me better than anything I've found in the US market! I obsessively watch their sales. A lot of their stuff is more retro styled, but the turnover is fast enough that you can generally find something you like if you wait long enough.

    • lcl0706 It's great! I actually think the bow is only attached by a few stitches, from what I can see.

I looked up "Asos floral halter bikini" and found a few that looked similar, but this is all I could find on their site so far:
      http://m.asos.com/mt/us.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Gem-Embellished-50s-Halter-Bikini-Top/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=5209009&cid=2238&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=50&sort=1&clr=Silver&totalstyles=1586&gridsize=3&un_jtt_v_frompage=0

I think Ebay had a few too, but shipping was crazy expensive in all the ones in 30E.
      :(

    • PetiteCollegiate I wish I'd heard of them sooner :)
I actually really love the 50's style halters and such. I think I'm sticking to them for my swimwear for a long time :)

      OOh! I like this one!

      http://us.asos.com/Hoola-Shard-Bikini-Top/1637l3/?iid=5200390&cid=5263&Rf989=5056,5891&Rf-300=2174,2129&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=-1&clr=Shard&totalstyles=49&gridsize=3&mporgp=L0hvb2xhL0hvb2xhLVNoYXJkLUJpa2luaS1Ub3AvUHJvZC8.

And it comes in 28G! I'm pretty well convinced that all underwire bikinis will be too wide for me but man my crappy VS ones aren't cutting it. Anything is an improvement.

    • Oh snap I just realized that's US sizing. So I'd need a 28I or 30H

    • 1

lcl0706 Wow, I hadn't realized how amazing their size range is! That one is really pretty :)

That's what I love about the one I just got; the wires are actually narrow. Never seen that on swimwear xD It'd be interesting to know whether narrow wires are standard for them?

And yeah. I love VS designs, but I don't think I will ever buy their swimwear ever again. Both my tops flop down, cups are too far apart, color faded on the more expensive one(that was already not the same color as in photos), and their bottoms either look like thongs or don't sit flat and I can see down them o__o
They're pretty, but they don't suit many bodies/comfort levels that well. :(

    • I'm picking out a white hidden underwire halter top made by ASOS who claims to use UK sizing, so I'm gonna give it a go in a 30G and let you know the fit and wires. I'm unsure they actually use UK sizing because the size options go from 30DDD/F to 30G. Really, there should be an FF in there if they're truly UK sizing... and no 28 band offered but I don't mind tightening it if I have to. 30G is as close to my size as I can find. But it's only $17 and returnable lol. I love that first one I posted but not the $57 price tag.

I'm still schlepping around in my 32DD VS swim tops (hides)... and holding my boobs in every time I walk or turn around.

    • lcl0706 yay! Thanks so much :) Hopefully it works out for you!!
Yeah, those 32DD's are just a big facepalm. I wish they'd start making their tops better :(

And oh geez, that one looks super nice! Thank you!:D

    • 1

Yeah those 32DDs... mine have underwires and not extra padding but still. I'm a 28G shoving my boobies into a 32DD. Just... no. The wires are a poor excuse too, really short, wide, and kinda flat. Like not much curve to them.

    • 1

Oh and their bottoms. Ugh. They keep getting smaller through the years. I used to be a small. Then a medium. This past year I tried one on and I needed a large and it still didn't cover half my butt.

    • lcl0706 Yeah, I'm not a fan of their wires either. I really wish they had more selection, but Comexim seems to have won my heart over anyway xD
I had all these VS bras on my wishlist, but now when I see them I just think,"Nope. Gotta save for more Comexim."

Yep! Bottoms are just..idk what's going on with them. I tried on a few of their bathing suit bottoms in recently and every other pair besides this one hipster pair looks like a thong or those new cheeky-thong hybrids.
Even if I had a slimmer body, I think I'd feel too much like I was wearing undies.

I sent my bf a picture of one that I wasn't sure about and he was just like "uhh maybe if only I can see it." And then I looked again, and yep, too much butt that nobody needs to see xD

    • 1

Oh, and for me going up a size fixed the lack of coverage, but now I'm left with two bottoms that gape at the top. I didn't even know that was a thing. :(

    • Yes, all my dollars are going to Comexim these days lol
