    Didn't fit

This is the model I used to wear before I used the calculator. When I saw they know carry a size very close to mine, I had to order. It still is a bit bug in the band (since it’s is SO stretchy) and the cups don’t quite fit either. I think it is a shape mismatch because it doesn’t sit on my IMF. The super soft material makes it pretty comfortable anyway. I am using it until I find my perfect bra.

I didn’t know Aerie made cups above DD. This is actually close to my size too, though I doubt I could get a molded bra to work for me. Good to know!

    Didn't fit

    The good:
    - super comfortable
    - soft & smooth fabric
    - fits well enough
    - easy to find & inexpensive!

    The less good:
    - band too large (UB: <26")
    - too shallow
    - cups are verging on too far apart (even for me!) and too wide
    - almost too closed in on top
    - the 'full coverage' look is really not my style, but in this case, it's working for me

    In sum:
This is a practical, comfortable, easy-to-find bra that isn't technically a good fit, but works well enough to still be a staple in my bra rotation. I'm going to attempt to alter the band, which may have the consequence of pulling the wires even wider and shallower, but I think it'll be worth it.

This is almost a great fit - just a bit too small. With a larger band, the cups are separated too much. It's a shame because this could be a really comfy bra.

    • You toooks like there's a bit of cutting in, in the 1st 2 pics.
But if you like this bra, you may also like the Katie (idk if they still sell it). It looks like it fits similar, maybe slightly taller cups. I tried the Sunni demi and it was quadding galore. The Sunni demi seems like it's more closed on top.

    • I see what you mean in the pictures, but I think it's because my upper tissue has no firmness. Every bra that doesn't completely cover my breasts looks like that. Even unlined bras look like that on me. With the 30D - Aerie » Sunnie Full Coverage Lightly Lined Bra I am so happy with the tall sides. That's my #1 need.

I gotta be honest and agree with prettyncharmeuse - every 30D bra you've reviewed so far looks too small. They're cute and if you love them, it's your right to wear whatever, but I think you'd get much less (or no) cutting in if you wore 30DDs.

    • 3

Thank you!! I think in my case, it's a relative issue. Compared to hundreds of other bras I've tried, this is a great fit, lol! I totally agree about the DD or E cup sizing, but even a 30 band is pushing it for me. Aerie is the only accessible brand that I have ever been able to find. I have special ordered many 28 and 30 brand bras from UK, Poland, etc. but they are super expensive...and none have been so perfect that I go out of my way to replace it when it wears out. I have owned quite a few Panache Porcelains in 30DD, and I can get it here at Nordstrom, but it costs $68.00 USD, and that's a lot more than Aerie...So glad we have Bratabase...

There's always Amazon!! Although I know 28 band size ranges keep getting smaller and smaller >:-|

    • ShaniSunAZ , I've had some luck with Calvin Klein and Betsety Johnson. You can find them at Nordstrom and sometimes searching around online.

    • Your advice has helped so much. I seem to fit much better in 32D's in Aerie bras. Thank you! :-)

    • ShaniSunAZ , every 32 band size I've tried on ends up riding up on me. Would you say the Aerie 32 band is true to a 32 or is it a little more snug?

    • The Aerie bras are MUCH more snug. Overall they seem specifically designed for smaller rib cages. For years I wore Panache and Freya in 28s and 30s but I always felt like they were "miniatures" of bras clearly made for larger rib cages, (and larger boobs!). I think that the designers at Aerie originally marketed to "Junior" sizes (as ridiculous as that is...) and those of us with small rib cages somehow managed to find their bras. In the US, if a 30 size band ever showed up in a store, it was in the "pre-teen" section.

  4. This bra is for: shallow, broad rooted, medium or far apart spaced breasts. If you are very FOT or very tall rooted this might not be for you. This is about as broad wired as I can stand for bras. If the wires were any more broad (Freya Deco Strapless, Natori Feathers) I would not want it. I don't like the colour and I will be exchanging it for another colour.

    Fits

Ok so as much as I've always resented the fact that I often have to shop at stores geared towards juniors to find bras that fit me, I have to say that I had a really great experience at Aerie yesterday. Had ordered the Hannah in a 30B and a 30C to see what fit. The 30C was a better fit but not a good style for me. I went to the store to return them and just thought I'd double check to make sure that they didn't have any 30 bands in other styles that I could try in the store. The sales ... girl got her manager, who was really nice and helpful. I told her why the Hannah didn't work for me and she said she'd check the stockroom and brought back a Blakely and a Sunnie. I liked the Sunnie better, but the one she brought me was baby pink (not really my color...). She checked the stockroom again and found 2 in black in my size. Best of all, she gave me the buy one get one half off deal from the website even though it wasn't going on in the store. Overall a very good experience!!!

While not 100% ideal, the Sunnie is definitely the best-fitting bra that I own at the moment. The Hannah and the Blakely both felt bigger in the band. Though the Sunnie only measures about .5 in shorter stretched (by my measurement), it feels much tighter (in a good way). I think this is because of the fabric, which has a lot of stretch to it but is doubled on the band. Strangely, I can wear it on the tightest or loosest hook with equal comfort. And it's seriously comfy. The fabric is wonderfully soft. I do think that aerie cups run a tiny bit small, but not by a whole cup size, maybe by half a cup. The great part about this for me is that I'm a bit uneven (left breast seems to be a 30C and right a 30B), so it's only the teensiest bit too small on my left and big on my right and gives me a much more even look than most bras. The top inner side of the cup just barely cuts into my left (larger) breast after swooping and scooping, but within 5 mins I've settled into it well. And the part that cuts in is very much on the inside, so you can't tell under a shirt since that's where the fabric is suspended between my boobs anyway.

I think that the reason that this one works (and the hannah didn't) is because it's higher cut and the cups are slightly closer together. My ideal bra would have a slightly wider spacing, but since the higher cut edge begins pretty shallow and has a much more gradual/less abrupt curve than the Hannah it does seem to work despite the fact that I don't have much tissue there. Wish it were a little less boring looking, but overall I think it's a good everyday bra and am happy to finally have something that fits nicely and is so comfortable.

    Didn't fit

One of the first bras I bought after being semi-properly measured.
I was still in denial that I could be a 32DD at the time because of my slightly tuberous/small boobs, and was just learning proper fit so I kept settling.
Don't settle, it costs too much money https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":p" />

Anyway, this bra is super comfortable. It's probably flat out the most comfortable bra I own, next to VS Body. I don't know if Aerie's cups run big or if this just fits because the band is mega stretchy and too big for me. I would really wear it more if it weren't for the bigger ... band. It doesn't ride up, I'm just very picky and like the firmness of a tighter band. I also can't scoop and swoop and keep the tissue in the cups with 32 bands.

The thing that does annoy me about this bra is that the elastic seems kind of cheap and it's very thin. It reminds of that really thin, non sticky medical tape lol.
Otherwise, this bra is great if you're not too picky(or if you are try sizing down in the band and up a cup if the size is available) and looking for ultimate comfort. Very soft fabric and stretchy materials make it hardly noticeable.
I'm slightly shallow and slightly tuberous/slightly round, I don't usually have any problems with Aerie or VS molded bras, but in any case these seem more odd shape friendly to me.

    --EDIT--
I've decided to keep this bra just for practicality's sake.
Its difficult to scoop/swoop the band being so stretchy, so without that I don't quad much anyway. I've had to use this bra and my other Aerie for interviews with certain shirts recently because I didn't have any light bras and all my dark bras were also 32D. So, until I get money to replace these, I'm holding onto them.

I have to agree, I also have a sunnie (black too). I kind of like how thin the band is, it is close to invisible under clothes, and is supper comfy. But that probably comes at a price as mine stretched out so fast that i can't comfortably wear it anymore. But for about 6 months it was my favorite bra. I may try it again in a smaller sister size. Also I think the cups on this run just a tiny bit big, but not so much that it causes issue. Thanks for all your great reviews.

    • thelittleone Yep, I want one of these in 30DD so badly even though the cups would be semi small. It's just so comfortable.
And no problem! I'm glad you enjoy them :D

This bra is awesome except I get quadboob. I am going to trade it for a 30D. It's good if you are shallow, broad rooted, have medium to far apart spaced breasts, and tall rooted.

This bra is super soft and fits well, except I feel the underwires are not completely encasing my breast tissue at the sides (feels like it's digging in a bit). The band does fit like a true 30 and feels comfortably snug on the second hook. I think a 30C would work better for me, which is suprising...but I am filling this one out well and the slightly wider wires of a C might work better if the cups aren't too deep for me.
