Take two at trying to get a black mesh with pink/red embroidery bra that fits! While not perfect, it might be workable.

The biggest issue is that the straps are WAY too wide apart, especially in the back. You can see in my back picture how the straps are practically at my sides where they come out at the band, and then angle in towards each other at my shoulder. If I didn't have such prominent ends of my collar bones, these straps would have nothing to catch on and would fall off. They are quite apart in the front as well, and if I'm not standing with ... hands on hips, my arms hit the straps and push the cup open to gap.

The second issue is overall cup shape vs. my breast shape. I have somewhat pointy, upside-down 7 shaped breasts. So lots of immediate projection, but much less lower fullness than upper fullness. I have a tall root that gradually tapers. On the other hand, the shape of this cup is very round and meant for shorter roots than I have. So I settle in the bottom of the cup, can't fill out the top part of the cup, and then the top edge of the cup cuts into my root.

What was most surprising to learn in trying on this bra is just how much of a difference I have between right and left breast! I suspect that my left breast just needs a cookie under it to push my upper fullness to fill out the upper portion of the bra. But my right breast? Doesn't fill it out nearly as much! A cookie wouldn't be enough, as it doesn't seem like it has enough projection to touch the apex of the cup. I will try with cookies and see it's enough, otherwise, I might just have to alter the cup shape.

Another issue is overall underwire shape. It is very U shaped, in the sense that it's rounded and deep, but also in the sense that it's pretty level in height across the top. Both the gore and wing measure to be 3" high. Usually underwires are taller at the side, so this is an interesting first I've seen in a bra. Not sure if this was intentional, as they could have designed the bra for very rounded close-set breasts that need help being separated, and then scaled it down. Or maybe they didn't tilt the wire when drafting the pattern. Either way, I do not need such separation, and with my taller roots, the underwire shape ends up causing the gore to dig in at my sternum while allowing some breast tissue to escape on the sides.

This list makes the bra seem horrible, but it's not all bad! The strap length is great, allowing a lot of height variation. The band is very nicely firm, so shouldn't stretch out too quickly. Also, I can barely stretch it from me at all and yet it's still comfortable. This means it runs tight for a 30, as it only stretches to 29.5 inches, so if you are a true 30, definitely size up in band. But it works for me! Fabric is beautiful, I don't believe I could quite capture it on camera. The cups are entirely covered in an embroidered black mesh. Photo online made me believe it was going to be more red, but the flowers are a neon warm fuchsia, and leaves more of a dusty burgundy. A nit-picky detail is that the bow is very obviously a more purple/berry color, which doesn't match the two reddish-pinks.

It sounds like a tall order, but if I am able to make the cups slightly less round, tighten the underarm elastic, lower the gore, and move the straps in, it would be perfect. As it is, I might just loosen the straps all the way and wear it racer back for now.

When ordering this bra, I basically had to guess size as there aren't a lot of Adore bras on Bratabase. It's surprising, as they have a lot of pretty embroideries and are (relatively) inexpensive. I went with what I order from Kris Line and other Polish companies, even though I'm not entirely sure where they're from. I'm in between 28 and 30 bands right now depending. Luckily, the band size was correct, and while the cups aren't perfect, it's most likely a shape issue than size issue. If I would have sized down, I would be cutting in even more on top and spilling out the sides more. Knowing shape of cup now, I probably won't order from them again, but definitely recommend if you have round breasts with medium to short root height!

(Quick note, added this to database, not sure if it's style 3770 like Brastop says, or 3025 as the back of the tag sewn into the bra says.)

    • What a pretty bra, sorry this didn't work out for you! Note on the underwires, I feel that some brands just tend to go for that shape. I've reviewed 4 different Simone Perele styles, and most of her underwires are shaped like that. I feel that type of underwire is designed for a very specific breast shape and isn't as forgiving in fit as the angled type we are used to. So, mostly likely other Adore balconettes will also have this same underwire, and give you similar fit issues.

    • It IS a very very pretty bra.
I LOVE this underwire shape. In my size Gorsenia and Samanta soft cups have it.

    • Slava-Zone Have you looked into the Gorsenia Miriam? I found it while browsing on Amazon . . . It's black with red/pink embroidery. I have the Gorsenia Audrey and I think they are pretty similar. The underwire is also somewhat U shaped but is tilted like you would find in most bras. The cup is 3 piece vertical seamed, so it's very open at the top and not very FOB. It didn't work for my shape, but I think it might work for you.

    • belleandblues Yes, it's good to know that Adore won't work for me, but it's sad as so many of their bras are so pretty!
And as for the Gorsenia Miriam, I have that one actually, and I have a review for it here. It's actually what I mean by "take two," as the Miriam was "take one!" :) When I first got it, the Miriam was slightly too large as it is VERY open on top, and was a bit too large in volume all around, and definitely wires too wide. But now that I weight a bit more, it works! I'm hoping to update my review on it soon. Ideally it needs narrower wires still, but with the vertical seams, it kind of works are a "side support" bra so it still pushes all tissue forward.

    • AGBras I always describe my breast root as a check mark or Nike "swoosh" shape, so with super round wires I always end up with empty space under my breasts. I'm glad that the very round underwire shape works for you! :)

    • Slava-Zone well, at least we’re on the same page! I didn’t realize you had written a review on that one!

I know you tried Fantasie Leora and had that weird off-spec bra, but it does come in a black/red combo in 30DD on Amazon. Could be worth another try?

There’s also the Freya Rhea, which I just ordered today. It’s not exactly black with red, but it’s close!

    • belleandblues Thanks so much for all the suggestions, I'll check them out! :)

My shape: Projected, narrow, shorter roots, even/functionally full on bottom, soft tissue. Cleo Lily fits me best.

This fits a little stretchier than true to size in the band, and about a half cup size large, but keep in mind I have shorter roots. This bra might be true to size for someone with more upper volume.
The straps cut into my tail of spence quite a bit. The immediate depth is pretty good. This just feels like "a lot of bra", probably because of the cup height/too large cups.

Unlike the photo on BraStop (where it looks like the whole cup is one layer of mesh), mine has a single layer of mesh on the top, and the bottom is a double layer/thicker mesh/more opaque.
Also, it's hard to tell from the photos, but the embroidery is a mix of dark purple and black.

I'm not a huge fan of a full cup bra - but this is cute. The fit of the cup is good overall, but it does cut in a smidge on the neck edge due to my bust being quite full and firm. It gives a very 'traditional' shape, with a slightly pointed appearance from the side and quite separated at the centre gore.

The straps are VERY long, and I had to have the sider adjusted to almost on top of my shoulder to get it tight enough - so good to note if you find straps are often too short for you! The band also feels to be on the looser side - I comfortably wear a 28 band on the loosest hooks, or a 30 on the tightest, but the 30 on this still felt quite loose even on the tightest hooks. It does feel nicely made though and quite sturdy in the cup. If you like a full cup, and can size down a back or prefer a looser band, this would be great.

The bra is really soft fabric and is comfortable but gives me a really really pointy shape and is the main reason I cant keep it. I assume it's because the cup is too small and the band is too large for me that it causes the pointy cup.

The embroidery looks exclusive and the overall look is nice. Fits quite well on the left side which is usually 30F (65G), but is too loose on the right side which is one cup smaller.
The shape is slightly pointy which I don't like. Don't love the color either. Considered keeping it but decided to send back.

Pretty much my best fitting bra at the moment. Forgiving in my unevennes, probably due to the lace. Good for even to FOB. Gives a rounded shape. Only worn it twice, so update will follow...

the cups are a bit large. I bought two of them on sale and wish I had only bought one to try first as my breasts don't fill them completely on top. The straps and band size fit true though. I love the colours and the feel of the fabric... crushed that I'm going to have to get rid of them because of the cup size.

Gives inverted 7 appearance and digs in a little bit across the front of my arms. I don't think it is as supportive and uplifting as I would like. I feel like my boobs are being pushed to the sides a little, also. I am liking the feel of the smaller bands, though. The under wires on this bra are much more narrow than the Freya and Curvy Kate bras I bought at the same time. I think I have a really wide base and really shallow breasts with next to no space between them and I really don't think the shape of this bra caters too well to this shape. In spite of all this, it isn't actually uncomfortable... But I have only just started to get a good fit, so I'm used to extremely poorly fitting bras.

it fit almost perfect for me except
    - made me have a lot of fat around my back (band runs a little tight maybe??)
    - made my boobs look very pointy (they're round naturally, this bra also is unlined and has seems running through the cup)
    - the lace can be sorta itchy
    - staps bug me, as they seem to dig into my armpit when i put my arms forwqard, yet i always want to pull then higher on my shoulder, maybe i should loosen them? i think im used to relying on a lot of strap support as thats what im used to and feels good to me
