Didn't fit

Are you ready for more Polish bra-buying adventures? Lol.

Ohhh, this bra is crushing because it doesn't fit, but I actually super love the colours & the style (the aesthetics of the bra); I even went to Nordstom the other day to scope out bras, I think I would prefer this bra to any of the bras they had at Nordstrom; in their defense, there wasn't a huge selection there though. I was probably most impressed with their Elomi bras, but I digress...

This is a really nice bra I got for 10.50 euro (+ shipping) from Lupoline's website; I used a package forwarder, Shopogolic.net, to shop from various websites in Poland.

I think this bra only ended up on clearance because it did not photograph well! I honestly thought I was buying a beige bra, but surprise, surprise, it's dusty rose! The fabric has a sheen to it that's just lovely. I took pictures under various lighting to try to capture it's colour accurately; it's cream-coloured roses, with a sheen (sparkles!) and a dusty rose background. The fabric on the outside of the cups looks quite delicate, so probably not the sturdiest of fabrics, but it is pretty.

I'm so bummed that the sizing is not quite right for me, and I hate to part from this bra because it is totally my style; it has an old-fashioned flair, but the sheen on this fabric prevents it from being grannie; plus, it has a thin lace ruffle on both the top of the cup & the bottom of the band that I kind of like; this bra shines in various lighting (enter, the princess...)

As far as sizing, the band is just too small; it is a 70 band; even though the calculator is putting me at 32GG, I would need to size up in Lupoline (same as Gorteks and Gaia) because their bands are firm.

Also, I am not filling the top of the cups; I guess I could try down a cup in Lupoline, but I'm also wondering if the shape is not right for me. It looks like Lupoline cups (at least for this bra) are good for narrow roots and upper fullness; even looking at the Lupoline model on Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/lupoline_official/ it looks like they design their bras for a different breast shape than mine, at least in the larger cup sizes. It looks like their model(s) have more upper fullness than what I have, so idk.

The wings and bra straps are ballet pink, and it has 3 x 4 hook-and-eye fasteners. Also, the bra straps are quite thick, 2 cm, which I appreciate.

The package forwarding service I used, shopogolic.net, combines all items into one large package, then ships it to me in Canada. The final shipping to Canada was kind of expensive - with insurance it was $43, so I bought 7 bras from various websites to make the final shipping fee worth it, if that makes sense, because that way it would only be an extra $6 - $7 per bra.

I've read some reviews that said that Shopogolic is not reliable, so I would only shop with them using PayPal, because at least that way, one has insurance if the product gets lost, or not delivered. It was kind of nice to be able to shop from *any* website in Poland; I figured that since bras are so light, it wouldn't be much more to add more bras to the batch - at least that's how I decided to buy 7 new bras; the more you spend, the more you save!

I will probably buy another Lupoline bra this year, but I will aim for size 75H next time, which is not an exact sister size, but one cup smaller, and one band size larger. This bra might be a similar quality to the two Gaia bras I got recently, which sell for $64 cad at Polka Dot bras in Winnepeg, MB, and $100 cad at Forever Yours in Langley, BC, but I happen to like the aesthetics of this Lupoline bra a lot better (it shines!) But probably not as good as Corin, Dalia, Comexim, or Ewa Michalak bras - this is just my opinion though.

All I know is: Continental Europeans have access to THE.BEST.BRAS! I'm glad I could shop virtually in Poland, even if the shipping in the end was kind of slow and expensive, I still saved a lot of money in the end. Probably next time I will buy Lupoline from Misterna.pl though, as I'm not sure how many more bras I'll need; I'm disappointed that it didn't fit, but I did learn about Lupoline's quality and sizing, so it was a good experiment, and in the end I can hopefully find a good home for this beauty.

Oh man that looks like a really cool vintage lace. So sorry it didn’t fit! I’m convinced it just costs a million bucks to ship to Canada no matter what it is. You’d think you live on an island or something requiring expensive import. I’m also totally on the same page. The more you buy the more you save, especially when it involves a higher shipping cost.

    Happy2BraShop , yes, exactly!

I calculated that the shipping for one bra (Poland --> Canada) using their service would've been like $35 just for one item, (that is including the optional insurance, which I wanted in case it got lost), so it was only between $1-$2 more per bra...so might as well add more, of course!

For whatever reason the shipping they use is eBay's shipping, it's kind of slow, but I ended up *not having to pay any duty fees* -so that was a bonus, too! Lol.

BraOdyssey Too bad we can’t make a Bratabase conference meetup and travel as a group to Poland for bras one of these days. Lol we can all stuff our new bras into one big extra suitcase and split the cost to fly it back haha. Or we can all just wear all the bras at once on the plane. Haha
TSA: “Why do you have so many bras on?”
Me: “I’m concerned with my nipples showing because it’s cold on the plan.” Lol

This bra looks so lovely! Do you think the UK size equivalent would be 30HH?

I'm so tempted to use a parcel forwarding service now that you've mentioned it - I hope they ship to Australia! It cost me $56 for shipping on my misterna.pl order.

curioustime , re: Misterna.pl shipping - oh no, why is it so much more expensive?? I think my Misterna shipping the last time (Valentine's Day sale) was between $7 - $9 cad?? IIRC. I only bought one thing though.

I read on one of the reviews for Shopogolic that the shipping took 2 months from Poland to Australia, IIRC. I'm not sure why it takes so long. (I don't know what item that person bought though).

I tried to calculate it here https://shopogolic.net/en/delivery#calculator-va-pay-methods, Poland ---> Australia, 1 Kg weight, and it looks like the prices are the same (extra $6 for insurance).

It's a possible recommendation, I would hate to recommend it and then have the service take like FOREVER. The put my 7 bras in a 10 x 12 x 5.5 inch box. I would only use PayPal, just in case (insurance for purchases).

According to bratabase, this size compares to 28H in Freya, or 30GG in Curvy Kate - you can see this huge gap in my back - it doesn't close at all, so I wonder if this particular bra is actually closer to a 28 band Freya.

Happy2BraShop , yes, I have even thought of that as well, lol.

Like, maybe we should just fund one person per year from bratabase to travel to Poland, stay in an airbnb for a week, and make purchases for everyone - then fly back!

I think for Canada, they would go through the suitcase and be like, "Hey, you bought all this stuff - pay up on your taxes!!"

  • curioustime , yes, I mean - I agree w/ your suggestion - I think it would be about 30HH UK with a very frim band.

(I think I measure the cups weird - like I think I don't stretch out the cups as much as I should when I measure them....if that makes sense).

In all fairness, I did order around 10 bras - shipping likely increases with more items. I'll look more into the parcel forwarding - hopefully this will make more brands accessible to me! I still need to try out Lupoline.

This is such a pretty bra, it's a shame it doesn't fit. I sized down in my first Lupoline by one cup because I'd read somewhere on here that they fit really deep in the cup, but it actually ended up being too small. I ordered another Lupoline in the same size I order all my Polish bras in (65J) off of morganti.pl and I'm waiting to receive it now.
This parcel forwarding service has got me curious to try ordering from nieblizna.pl again, I really want that Gorsenia Malaga, haha. I also would love to be able to shop at Kontri.pl

  • curioustime , oh I thought you had already tried them from misterna *but I guess I got you mixed up with another person. Definitely Lupoline runs tight in the band and large in the cup - which is kind of good in a way, because it makes the size range larger.

I think of all the Polish brands I tried (in this Polish bra haul), Kris Line was the most similar to a UK brand (IMO) *as far as the band*

Rehmania , yeah Kontri.pl seemed like a good sight. I mean, when I submitted my order (to package forwarding place) my order arrived from Kontri, no problemo.

I definitely want to try another Lupoline bra, I'll try to guess a better size. The thing is: it looks so different from the picture - I mean, I like it a lot better in person.

So, that makes me wonder what their other bras look like in person, lol.

ALSO, on the Polish Guides for ABTF- there is an "aggregator website" (it pulls bras from a combination of Polish websites) that I used to search for the best deals https://domodi.pl/bielizna/bielizna-damska/biustonosze

You can search by "size" and "brand" on Domodi.pl (although I am different sizes in different brands, so it is a couple of different searches each time, LOL)

I found it though the Polish Guides https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/polish_guide#wiki_domodi

The benefits to using a package forwarder, one can use any Polish website https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/polish_guide# - although I don't know if all of these websites are equally reliable though! (that's why I suggest that people use PayPal as insurance, since the company is overseas.) : ) Good luck, I'll be interested to see how your Lupoline fits.
